There have been times I’ve chosen not to return to a property based solely on a poor service experience. Christina Strong, who checked me in, was outstanding. I’ve rarely encountered someone as genuinely kind, attentive and professional. When my room wasn’t ready, she personally walked me to the pool and later came back to deliver my room keys - such a thoughtful touch that made a lasting impression. I wish every check-in experience was like this. The pool staff were equally wonderful —friendly, attentive and welcoming. While the hotel itself could benefit from a bit of a refresh, the team more than makes up for it. I would absolutely return because of the people, who truly make this place shine.

The team here is incredible -- experts at what they do, and always supportive and helpful when needed. Their attention to detail is second to none. Rooms are spacious, clean, and most have been recently renovated. Housekeeping at this hotel is very thorough. The food and service at Isabelle's is excellent, as well as at the pool club bar. We actually had our rehearsal dinner at Isabelle's and our guests raved about the experience. Their outdoor dining atmosphere is beautiful. And you're a short 8 minute walk to Coco Walk and the heart of Coconut Grove! If you're thinking of staying or having an major event in Coconut Grove, Brickell, Key Biscayne or Coral Gables area, this hotel should be your first and only stop!
- thedonald7 (6/5): 3 out of 5 - The property is nicely manicured and all the staff members we were in contact with were excellent. They went of there way to be friendly and welcoming. We only stayed one evening as we were leaving the next day out of Miami airport . The overall hotel appears a bit tired especially the room. There were scuffs in the floor. Also, since I used miles for our room, we were placed on a much lower floor with what I heard above there maintenance area which at times was noisy. We went to the bar for a drink before dinner and the team was outstanding. Very kind and engaging and offered some nice drink options. I tried calling room service for morning coffee and the phones did not work ( old technology). Overall not the Ritz experience I had come to expect.

Requested room change due to noisy parties next to us, hotel agreed to move us but never came through for this. Breakfast service was very slow and the eggs and toast were stone cold, asked for eggs over easy and got SSU. Asked waiter for salt & pepper and some ketchup, by the time these came we were done eating. Rooms are dated, shower had poor pressure. Late night bar lounge service and singer were good.

- Cruiser304836 (10/5): Beautiful stay at the Ritz Carlton Coconut Grove - We loved our stay at the Ritz Carlton Coconut Grove; it is a beautiful hotel & everyone that works there is so friendly & happy to help in anyway. There are so many cute restaurants (we loved KoKo & Mister 01 Extraordinary Pizza) & shops within walking distance. I had called prior to our stay & connected with Arianna & she was so helpful & kind to us. Even came out to say hi when we arrived. We loved breakfast at the hotel & happy hour each night with our platinum marriott rewards. The room was very clean & nice. We look forward to coming back soon & staying at the RC Coconut Grove.

This is a fine hotel - a level above a business hotel and just slightly less than a first grade ritz- with a courteous staff who will go the extra mile. The room’s bathroom was a surprise. Very much like the bathroom in the Paris Ritz. Not large but elegant and beautifully designed.
- Sur_La_Route_Again (6/5): Great location + breakfast, but room placement & noise were disappointing - This was our 3rd annual stay at The Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove, Miami. I’m a Lifetime Titanium Bonvoy member and we paid about ~$800/night (before taxes/fees), so expectations were high. We reserved a City View Executive Suite (1 Bedroom Executive Suite, King, Sofa bed, Balcony) about 2 months in advance and requested a quiet, high-floor, non-connecting suite away from elevators. Unfortunately, we didn’t receive a room until nearly 5pm, and were assigned Room 329 on the 3rd floor (of the hotel’s 7 guest floors), steps from the elevator and street-facing over the front entrance—basically the opposite of what we requested. This was also the weekend of the NCAA National Championship in Miami, and the hotel was at high occupancy. The room itself was clean and well maintained, but noise significantly affected comfort. Food & beverage was a highlight. Isabelle’s has an excellent breakfast menu (egg options, breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, oatmeal, power/energy shots). Room service from Isabelle’s was better than expected — the chicken soup was top 5 I’ve ever had. Pasta was tasty but slightly overcooked. We also enjoyed the complimentary happy hour (the house Chardonnay was surprisingly good). Note: breakfast can easily run $80–$100+ for two if not included. Noise was the biggest issue: late-night piped-in music outside (my husband called around 2–3am), loud music at Commodore, ongoing nearby construction, and 1.5 hours of drilling next door on our final day (we called twice). A huge thank you to Christina Strong at the front desk who immediately went into “how do I make this right?” mode and offered 50,000 points as a service recovery gesture. Also special mention to Lucas at Isabelle’s and Steve (bellman) — both were terrific. Location is excellent and walkable with great nearby restaurants like Koko and Narbona, plus waterfront paths and easy access to CocoWalk and Coral Gables. Beautiful hotel, but the room placement and noise issues didn’t match the premium pricing—or our advance request.

- Annmenna (10/5): Exceptional Spa Experience - This is a review of the Ritz Coco Grove Spa! Just came back from a girls trip (5 of us) for a friend's birthday, where we were fortunate to spend a morning at this lovley spa. From the initial phone call, the staff members were all very sweet and welcoming. On arrival, Jennifer (who I had spoken to on the phone multiple times) and Jessica (the spa manager) were incredibly helpful and efficient in getting us into our individual spa treatments. The treatments themselves were fantastic. We all felt that the massages were therapeutic and that the therapists were professional and very talented. So often when I have a "hotel" massage I leave unsatisfied, but this was a truly excellent experience!! Our massage therapists were: Genesis, Lida, Galina, Alene, and Yara. After our massage, Jessica, Jennifer, and a few other lovely staff members swept in to take our experience to the next level! They gifted my friend chocolate strawberries for her birthday, provided us with prosecco, and continually checked in to make sure our needs were met. We also visited the pool and the pool staff was also kind, attentive, and helpful. Our experience was great, and also wonted to mention that it is unusual to be able to accomodate such a large group at that same time! It was awesome bc we were able to receive massages at same time and then relax together after. We are grateful for the staff in the spa (under the guidance of spa manager Jessica) for making our day so unique and special. They should be commended on their hard work and thoughtfulness! Will absolutely be back as soon as possible!

It was an excellent stay as hotel is in a great location, service is really good and overall it is very comfortable. We really enjoyed the hotel lobby, which is very homey with plenty of seating to just lounge, have coffee or a drink and relax. The staff is excellent, rooms are clean and in typical Ritz style. Overall, this was a really nice hotel located in Coconut Grove near many shops, restaurants etc. and a place we will definitely stay again next time we want a weekend in Miami!

The rooms are huge and spacious with very comfortable beds. The staff couldn’t do more for you! Shoutout to Steve, the porter. What a lovely and helpful man! Also to the Sri Lankan waiter at the pool who was very attentive when we spent the morning in the pool. It was raining heavily so he walked us back to the hotel with the umbrella. Overall we really enjoyed our stay in coconut grove. Thank you Ritz Carlton.

We’re paying $600 a night and the Ritz wants to charge $20 a day to use the internet!!!! I usually avoid chain hotels, and now I know why. Big chains overcharge to begin with, then nickle and dime you to death. We should all avoid the big chains. Their method of overcharging to begin with, and then charging extra for every little thing, is a plainly rude way to treat their “guests”. We’re not their “guests” here, we’re their “targets”. I’ve never been charged to use the internet at a boutique hotel and the rooms and service at the boutique hotels have been superior to the Ritz.

- Foto48 (4/5): Not a Ritz Carlton experience - On special occasions my wife and I will book a weekend at a Ritz Carlton hotel. Over the past few years we have been to a few, Montreal - an absolute favorite, St. Petersburg FL, also great, and this past weekend, the Ritz Carlton in Coconut Grove, Miami. The best I can say about the hotel itself, is disappointing. Ritz Carlton is part of the Marriott group and this particular location has a Marriott corporate vibe to it, not the charming boutique feeling of the other two. As a Marriott Bonvoy member I am offered upgrades when available at their properties. Sometimes that means a modestly better room, other times a big score with a junior suite or something I would never book in the first place. We were offered a "city view" room on an upper floor and were told it was a three category upgrade to the standard room we booked. The room was nice enough, not particularly impressive with a view of two adjacent buildings with just enough space between them for a seagull to fly to the beach a few blocks away. I started to wonder what the lowest category we booked might look like. About the room. The standards we experienced during other Ritz Carlton visits, was, well, missing here in Coconut Grove. It started with little things, one robe in the closet for a two person reservation, none of those slippers you usually find in upscale hotels, OK, that may seem like nit-picking but the bigger issues were low quality scratchy linens on the bed and a way too soft, lumpy uncomfortable mattress. The "city view" description of the room was inadequate, it was also the "prominent road noise" room from the traffic below. Something the desk clerk could have warned us about before placing us in that room. If the lumpy mattress didn't keep me awake, the trucks and busses roaring down the road through the night did. While all of these things were annoying, there was one thing that left me dumbfounded. We forgot a charging cable for our phone and called the desk to see if they had one. While many hotels do, this one didn't. The person at the desk told me they did have charging stations with all the necessary cables in the lobby with a charge of $2.00 for 20 minutes. I said "Wait, you charge your guests to use electricity in the lobby ... at a Ritz Carlton?" Like I said, dumbfounded. While I understand that these hotels are owned by various people or groups operating under the Ritz Carlton moniker, they set their own rates and fees. If you are charging a lowest regular rate of $1,039 a night - for the lowest catagory room, do you really have to ding your guests $2.00 for 20 minutes of phone charging? Man, that's just cheap. After my lengthly diatribe I do want to emphasize one thing. The staff at the hotel is great, they absolutely responded immediately to almost any request. Everyone helpful, courteous and friendly, rising to the Ritz Carlton standard and above.
- 132chaddm (10/5): Definitley will be Back - We stayed at this Hotel for our Wedding weekend, which was perfect. The staff and team were extremely accommodating, and the rooms were beautiful. The staff went above and beyond by sending us champagne with a nice note and helping us with anything we needed. I enjoyed the workout facilities as well as the great restaurant and bar, like the Commodore and Isabelle's. Would stay at this hotel again.
- highflyer888 (10/5): Great stay in a beautiful resort - The hotel is a very beautiful resort located in a convenient spot in Coconut Grove to reach the local ocean front and the shopping areas by walking within a few minutes. The staff is very friendly and pro-active to serve your needs. Check-in process was smooth and with a personal touch. Our room had a good size and a very spacious bath room, everything you would expect from a Ritz Carlton property. The pool has a nice size with several comfortable sun beds. Unfortunately the weather was too chilly to use it, but the area looked very nice and freshly renovated. When booking this resort please be aware that on the opposite site of the street is currently a construction going on (JAN 2025) which can be heard inside the room from ca. 8:00am until late afternoon. Check with the staff to receive a room not facing the construction site. Thanks to the whole team for our relaxing stay - we are looking forward to come back!

My room was immaculately clean, the service was top notch, the facilities were very nice, and the location was great. There was lots to do within walking distance of the hotel. The Commodore (their bar) was lively and we were enjoyed the live music there. Lastly- and I cannot stress this enough- enjoy brunch at Isabelle's. They currently have a Spring brunch theme that has some of the most delicious cocktails and exquisite desserts I have had in a long time. The atmosphere is delightful and the food is quite good too.
- Explore44214451980 (10/5): One of the finest Ritz’ in Coconut Grove, Florida - I have stayed at a number of Ritz Carlton’s and St. Regis properties, I am a Marriott loyalist, but the service/staff here is unsurpassed in courtesy, kindness and 5 star service. The front desk manager, Eugenia Morgana, has gone over and above expectations. Christina and Christian were also terrific. EVERYONE on the staff here treats you like royalty. The pool and spa are incredible as well as the restaurant on the property. Close to the bay and Gulfstream Park racetrack. Fortunate to get a beautiful executive suite with great views, 2 balconies and a bath and a half. The room was appointed beautifully. Few better than this place. 5 star and a must stay.

At $700–$800 per night, I expected the same high standards synonymous with the brand, but unfortunately, this property fell short in several areas. The check-in experience was particularly lackluster. The front desk staff appeared very young, likely in their early 20s, and lacked the professionalism and warmth I’ve come to expect from Ritz-Carlton employees. They seemed aloof, inattentive, and at times outright rude, leaving a poor first impression. The pool area was another letdown. For a property in Miami, known for its vibrant luxury hotels, the pool felt bland and uninspired. The decor and overall atmosphere lacked the elegance and attention to detail I’ve seen at other Ritz locations. The room itself was a mixed experience. While the bathroom was stylish, with sleek white marble that stood out, the room door was ill-fitted to the frame, which felt sloppy for a hotel of this caliber. The rest of the room was adequate but didn’t have the luxurious feel I associate with the Ritz-Carlton brand. Overall, while my stay was okay, this property is leagues behind its counterparts in terms of service, ambiance, and attention to detail. For the price, I would recommend considering other Miami luxury options, as this was the weakest Ritz experience I’ve had to date.

I dined at the restaurant which was amazing . The valet were always accommodating with bringing my uber eats orders to my room as well. Overall great experience and would love to visit again in the future !

The room was really worn, the staff was great, the location is stellar. - Well located and elegant It’s worn, the pool is in need of major repairs and power washing. The hotel needs a refresh. Our room floor had all kinds of black marks and scratches, and scratches in the paint. Also the windows are old so it was a little noisy in the room

Staff lacks training in customer service. - We just came from a two night stay at the Bal Harbour Ritz to check in here for a wedding and WOW want a downgrade this Ritz is. Being a Titanium Elite level customer we had hoped that we might be able to use our upgrade, but we were told the hotel was at capacity. I get it, but then we are taken to a room that looks like someone had been on the bed and smells like urine. We were adjusting until the bellman (who was very nice and tried to help) finds the ice bucket filled with nasty water. I am now concerned with the other signs that the room may not be clean. I will not go over the whole ordeal, but the manager on duty was very condescending and told me they could move us to a room on a higher floor that was empty and better. Really? Then why did you tell us that you gave us the best room available at check in? This room is not better. The door to the bathroom is disgusting and there is the same urine like smell. My family went to the welcome party for the wedding and I am using Lysol wipes to clean🤦🏻♀️. The manager, Danielle after our exchange said she spoke to two of her bosses Ariana and Gerard and their solution was to offer us a separate room in place of the bigger room or suite upgrade and they would discount it 40%. That would be a hard no. This is the lowest standard I have seen at a Ritz ever. I will be sending the general manager of this hotel the book “ Unreasonable Hospitality “ by Will Guidara It has been said many times that the subtitle should be “how to treat human beings” Something this hotel needs to learn.

- lorenaw313 (10/5): Ritz it’s Ritz always - Staying at the Ritz, once again a pleasure as usual. Read some recent negative reviews about services, cleaning, rooms and facilities to be refreshed! I doubted for once, but we took the chance cause Ritz it’s always been part of good memories to us. Glad to follow my instinct, it was great staying with all the quiet glam of the property, polite attentive stuff everywhere. Excellent breakfast options, fresh delicious coffee. Amenities as usual (just advising check more often the lotion, I had one old, weird smell) I have to mention Dario Rojas, Tks to him I had solved a logistic issues about some packages and he didn’t hesitate in solving my problem in the best possible way even thought we finished our staying.This happens when you bet on the very best! So if you look for a quiet 5star staying in Coconut G, great views, nice facilities, near to the Marina with walking paths and short distances to coco walk which is an enchanted strip full of little shops&great food options, go for the Ritz.

- JDSoui (8/5): Attentive Service and Fabulous Team - Had a pleasant stay while at the property for 6 nights. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. The front desk had great recommendations for dinners and made reservations. The team in Isabelle's was so attentive and friendly and the room attendants were incredibly pleasant leaving extra coffee and chocolates. The gym was spacious and had good equipment. As a note the spa was temporarily closed as it was going through a renovation. The room had a great view towards the bay and the beds were very comfortable. Overall the stay was very good and have fond memories on property and would return.

Limited choice and not very good quality. Actually it spoiled our stay. Far too expensive for the dreadful experience. Very disappointed for a Ritz Carlton hotel.

Room was quite lovely - not large but a very nice traditional bathroom with real marble and a TUB as well as a separate shower. Enjoyed spending the night here with my elderly aunt during the hurricane. p.s. don’t forget to hit the hotel bar for a very reasonable happy hour offering!

The floors in the room were stained and uneven.

I was supposed to visit University of Miami with some prospective students. Due to a hurricane we had to cancel our trip. I called the hotel at least 5 times between the 800 number and the on-site reservation desk to see if we could reschedule due to the circumstances. No one returned my calls and each group kept telling me to deal with the other one. I lost $4000 dollars between two rooms for a 4 day weekend.

The night manager could have cared less and was ver dismissive, basically sorry about your luck. Rude as hell. Not even a great property to begin with The Couryard is just as nice. Never again.
- Danmorteh (10/5): Great Overnight stay - We originally had a day stay due to our delayed flight and they were super accommodating to the change when our flight was canceled and were super on point with service. Danielle, Stephanie and the rest of the crew are exceptional at their jobs.
- Rangers150 (10/5): Great location, great service! - We stayed for an overnight. Love location near MIA. Quick 20 minute ride. Arrived later at night and front desk gal was great. Very friendly! Arrived late to eat but Isabelle's still open and waitstaff did a wonderful job even though I am sure they wanted to close. Manager even came by to introduce himself and ask if we needed anything. Food was so good! We ate the next morning for breakfast and lunch! That is how good the food is in Isabelle's. I love the outdoor patio too! Service was top notch from Eva. She works so hard! Room was small- I would upgrade next time. Bed was comfy and room clean. It worked.. but for a longer stay I would def get a bigger room. It was nice with a patio that had a view though. Room was quiet for the most part. Much more quiet than the Bal Harbour Ritz where you hear nonstop traffic. Will stay here again instead of airport hotels that are outdated and don't offer food selections like this.

The staff never showed any effort to accommodate simple request and in fact I felt they intentionally went out of their way to not accommodate. My room was not cleaned two days in a row. The beds are 2-3 star at best. The property is noisy between the adjacent construction site to the annoying and creepy drone flying the court yard daily with the emergency generator cycling daily. The bay view room is extend your head beyond the small uncomfortable deck and look at a sliver of a view between two buildings. Due to this stay , I would not book a Ritz ever again

There seemed to be young ladies hanging around and older men traveling alone. Not a comfortable environment for a seasoned solo traveler. Not my cup of tea. If you are looking for a friendly, updated Hotel with a fun vibe look somewhere else.
