• 132paml (8/5): Convenient and clean - Small compact but clean room. Includes a bottle of water and a soft drink and coffee pod machine. Hot water for tea, apple juice and a little cake at reception. Very convenient location. The bakery next door serve breakfast from 7:00 a.m. It is very good.

Great location & budget friendly. We were able to walk to all the major sites from here and there is a train station super close by which is convenient. Would stay here again!

• Mark3005 (8/5): Comfortable and great location for a short break - Great hotel for a short trip to Paris. Spent 5 nights here and was in a good location to access the metro for sight seeing around the capital. The room was compact as we expected and wasn’t an issue for us, shower was fab and larger than had expected. Need to give a special mention to housekeeping, they were reliable and kept the room to a great standard was very clean on arrival and throughout our stay. Reception were friendly and informative when we engaged with them. We came back late at night a couple of times and felt perfectly safe though can understand that this may not be the case for everyone. A special mention to Maison Mai bakery next door who do amazing breakfasts, pastries and give such a warm welcome at an excellent value. Had breakfast here each day. Also a mention to Assanabel Republique restaurant less than a minutes walk away - amazing a must try Lots of great places to eat in the area and handy for the guard du Nord for Eurostar. Only issue we had in the hotel was a very rude maintenance man and really not sure why!

• BernhardL454 (8/5): Excellent location - Hotel Aida Marais is a decent hotel in an excellent location. Perfect for everyone that is into walking as you can reach a lot of Paris' most relevant attractions (Notre Dame, Centre Pompidou, etc.) within half an hour. The Picasso museum is even closer. Breakfast was good, with only ham and/or sausages missing. Ask for a quiet room (yard side) in order to avoid noise that may come from the street.

If bad will be little bit smaller and found place for small wardrobe - will be comfortable. But hotel location is great. 30 minutes walk to every Place.
• rhoffm539806 (4/5): Just for sleeping okay - The hotel is placed close to gate du nord and you can easily get there by foot. The hotel room was very small, the shower was halfway broken, you were able to look into the ceiling and the hairdryer was not really working. It shut itself off after 2-3 minutes, so you had to wait another 5 minutes until you were able to continue drying. The breakfast ist presented without love and not what we expect in a hotel. The welcome staff was friendly.

• Caz (8/5): - It was fine. We liked having two interconnecting rooms for us and the kids. There were renovation works on the floor above us but did not disturb us during the night. The breakfast was ok, not lots of choice and no hot options. Location was good near a couple of metros and the bakery next door had lovely lunch options. Please note that you cannot just walk in the building, the reception needs to spot you and unlock the door!
• Verified traveler (6/5): - The picture showing a double bed and lots of space to wander around doesn’t represent the three rooms we had - they were classic Parisian rooms in which you couldn’t swing a cat. They were what we expected, but in case you expect a room like the picture, the lowest cost rooms are very small. The ‘bathroom’ was, despite being clean, too small to dry yourself after a shower. Sit on the toilet and without moving your feet, stand up to wash your hands! No wasted energy there! The check in guy was extremely friendly but the desk guy who was there when we collected our bags to leave couldn’t even be bothered to look up to say au revoir”!! Good location and typical Parisian hotel.

• Jacqueline (4/5): - This hotel is very small.. The rooms were TINY, like match boxes in a doll house. I only recommend this hotel for a short stay for 1 or 2 persons, with very little luggage. The rooms are too small for triple occupancy. Also, the breakfast is a light continental breakfast and if asked to deliver breakfast to the room, they do not always cater to more than two people. I was actually told one morning that the service person "could not bring breakfast up for 3. I would have to send someone come down stairs for it". I have never had that experience in a hotel before. I also requested extra pillows the night we arrived and was told that there was no one else that could bring it up, she had to cover the desk and could not leave. I never asked again and never got the additional pillows. I also noticed that they do not change the bed linen daily. The hotel was ok. But, I wouldn't stay there again. Finally, the hotel is located in the 10th Arrondisment, so it's a bit too far from the main attractions of Paris.

• Verified traveler (6/5): - Be aware I stayed on November 14, 2019, and it is an outgoing construction on the top floor and next building. Olga was very helpful, such a charmer. Francois was an overnight receptionist--cold, unwelcomed and phlegmatic. I suggest to stay elsewhere unless you love construction. It is unfortunate that the owner of the hotel did not, could not, and would not notify a traveler about outgoing construction activity between hours of 8:30-6pm.

The building itself, like many old European buildings has more problems - the walls are thin and no noise cancellation. But it was clean and well maintained. If you're an easy going person, who needs a comfortable bed, a decent shower, friendly staff, then this is perfect. It has some places that have room for improvement, but they definitely make it up in other ways. Like, great location; steps from restaurants, walking distance from shops and couple blocks away from 2 metro (subway) stations. Overall, I would definitely be back.

Only issues we had were staff were not super helpful; I asked for the night receptionist if there was any restaurants within walking distance and he said no but when we walked around the next day in daylight there was loads! Also the sound proofing of the hotel was not great we could hear the people above us and beside us very clearly.

There is also a Metro station within a 5 minute walk. The exterior and foyer were attractive, and the reception was first-class - friendly, helpful and efficient. Our room was a touch on the small side, but warm, quiet and with comfortable beds - I thought the floor was a bit odd with what looked like black and yellow street markings! The bathroom was well equipped and every-thing worked well. Room service was first-class, and we very much enjoyed our stay.

The room was also very tiny, which left us hardly any room to move around. Also, they mentioned that breakfast was available, which suggested it was free, but this was not the case. It was 10 euros per person per day. I was not excited about the 150 euros we had to pay to check out. They should’ve been more clear about what they’re saying instead of trapping us like that.

The employees were useless example on checking in they were unable to give me a second card key to enter the room. The level of incompetence and down right dismissive behavior concerning the condition of our room gave me no other choice but to check out and find another hotel which I did. I prepaid through Travelocity with no refund and will NEVER use Expedia or Travelocity again. HORRIBLE.

• Richard (2/5): Be very careful with the dates of your reservation - I had booked my reservation by accident on the wrong dates. I had booked the wrong month by accident. I had paid for 4 nights. Once I realized five minutes later that I had made a mistake, I called Hotels.com immediately to cancel the reservation. It was a non-refundable rate. The people at Hotels.com were very friendly, understanding and helpful. But they said in order to cancel the order, the hotel would have to agree. The hotel refused! Even knowing that is was an honest mistake and I only wanted to change the dates. They wanted to pocket my money for an honest mistake. They would not even let me change the dates -- 5 minutes after I had booked. I feel robbed by this hotel. Avoid at all costs (literally)!

Safe area with bakery right next door, small grocery store, and plenty of cafes. Sheets were not changed while we were there, they would just freshen up and make the beds. Trash was taken out every day. All in all it was nice.

• Carolina (4/5): Small rooms and you won’t get size bed requested - We stayed at the hotel for 6 days, and when I reserved the two rooms it was room #1 with double bed and a single bed which was what we received (but extra small room) no space for luggage for 3 persons, ... room # 2 we paid for a queen bed and got a double bed, it was my husband, my daughter and I... we had to end up paying for an extra room which was more expensive than when we reserved them .... then when the receptionist (a Peruvian guy) called his boss to ask what to do he took like 30 minutes on the phone just to say we have to get other room, he was taking his time and joking with his boss while we where waiting which I saw rude and unprofessional. The rest of the days he was nice, but we already had the bad impression that he gave us at the beginning .... so no coming back to your hotel

• D (8/5): - Great location. Excellent staff, very helpful. Decor a little dated in room. Some very minor wear and tear to the room as well. (Piece of bathroom door broken at the bottom, nothing too serious). Other than that it was a great stay!
• Cecilia (2/5): Could be better - We stayed for 3 days. Power went off 5 times during three days: Both morning and evening, nobody was able to help. Employees provided no customer service; except Alfredo, he was outstanding, super helpful and always with an smile on his face, always willing to assist and help. Rooms are way too small, location is good, bakery next door excellent! Beds are super comfortable and shower is pretty good, however the shower door was damaged long ago. Too expensive for what we paid

• Charlie (10/5): Excellent - Very central nice local bars easy access to everything by metro and foot
• John (2/5): - Room was not clean. Bathroom ceiling in poor condition Windows did not shut properly. When I Got back in evening I could not get back into my room as door was jammed. Night receptionist had to kick it in resulting in sleeping in a room with a door that did not close properly. Still waiting for management to reply and refund.
• Nick (8/5): Paris trip - Good friendly reception, small room with tiny difficult staircase to access it. Asked for double bed but got two singles though they did say this was a possibility. Room was small but just adequate. En suite was nice with great walk in shower and plenty of hot water. Poor WiFi in room.
• Luca (10/5): Goog quality/price ratio - Good location,clean comfy even if room is small. Only one window and locked (because internal to the hall) but overall is a very nice place to stay.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Paris on a budget - Hotel room was cramped with baggage. Bathroom and beds ok, room clean but with no window was stuffy. Location not too bad. Helpful staff.

Location was very good and was accessable to shops, restaurants, local patesseries and grocery shops as well as the several metros in the sqaure and a short walk from gare du nordBe very careful of pick pocketers especially on the metro and coming out the stations. An.enjoyable city with so much to see .be careful of restaurants that exploit tourists for their money and will give you all the exoensive food and drink choices but not tell u prices, ending up with a massive bill at end.
• Heather (10/5): Very welcoming - My Husband and I had a great stay. The staff were very welcoming and happy. The room was clean, tidy and warm. Couldn't ask for a better stay for our first holiday to Paris. Would absolutely love to stay again.
• Jas (10/5): - Nice hotel close to the metro and able to walk to all main attractions from here. Great bakery right outside too.
