• Rachael (9/5): The hotel is so quaint and the location is fabulous. Next to parks and all that London has to offer. - The room was adequate for a 1 night stay for 1 person. The breakfast service was lovely. Plenty of options. I adored the silver coffee pot and gorgeous crockery and cutlery. The room would have been too small for 2 people for more than a couple of days. I would suggest paying a little bit more so you have more space.

Aamiainen tarjoiltiin pöytiin valitsemasi menun mukaan. Erilliset kylmä ja kuuma hanat toisaalta ihanat, mutta yhden kerran aamulla ei onnistunut saada suihkusta lämmintä vettä. Tämä on vain ihan pieni miinus. Amme ja yläsuihku.

• Emma (9/5): A lovely hotel of distinctive quiet style and hospitality in a fabulous part of London. - Durrants is a charming hotel. I try to stay here whenever I come to London. It’s a beautiful building with several public rooms offering different atmospheres. The staff are quietly attentive which is much appreciated.

• Phil (8/5): Peaceful but hot night in central London! - It’s in a fab location. Close to the action but very peaceful at night. It’s an old hotel, so has no aircon. They provide hi-tech fans. But my stay was in May when it was 13C outside and in my room I needed the fan on all night and was sweating like a hostage. The rooms really hold their heat. At the height of summer you’d stand no chance.

• Catherine (7/5): Great location, very tired and medium comfortable - Location is perfect, staff were great, the shared lobby spaces were great (excellent music and volume), bathroom toiletries were a highlight, very nice fan for the room. All London hotel rooms are small but this was kind of a joke. The room was SO warm. We were in a corner with no ventilation. Our friends were in another room and had a fan in their room, which prompted us to ask for one. The hotel didn’t volunteer this without our asking - terrible. We were on the 3rd floor and the stairs were very shallow while the elevator was very slow but most troubling was the faulty light that strobed. It was seizure-inducing and despite my raising within 10 min of our arrival (while staff were in the elevator with us), this wasn’t addressed at all. Very awful standard for caring for guests.

• MaryMH41 (10/5): Keep being Durrants - This is such a lovely hotel! Its proud independence is clear everywhere you look, from the fascinating decor to the warm and friendly staff. I’d far rather look at a quirky gloss-red ceiling while eating a delicious freshly cooked breakfast than cope with the sterile buffet offerings of a big chain. I’d happily sip a nightcap in the charming dog-friendly bar rather than navigate some massive preprepared cocktail list. Keep doing what you do Durrants - and thank you for being so understanding about my disability without making me feel in any way awkward. Such skills are rare and need to be cherished.
• Carol (9/5): Durrants is a uniquely designed, wonderful, comfortable and safe small hotel with a super staff. - Durrants is very charming and unique. It includes several old houses, so there are many halls and off the main track rooms. I was traveling on my own, so I had a single room. The decor is old fashioned and cozy. The beds are comfortable. The bathroom facilities are new and work wonderfully, as does the wifi. There are many common rooms on the first floor that are individually decorated and great for entertaining guests, business partners, or just sitting and reading. You can have tea/coffee or light fare brought to these common rooms or the small pocket bar. The staff is wonderful, so attentive and caring. If you come back late at night there is always an attendant who immediately lets you in. There's always someone who will help you with luggage or directions or getting a taxi if you need one. The area is very upscale with plenty of shopping and restaurants, but it's also a real neighborhood with families etc living nearby. The single rooms are quite small, and if you're an overseas traveler like I am, there's not much room for luggage. Otherwise you have to open your cases on the floor or hoist them onto the bed. One of those little folding luggage stands would be helpful. My room had a small desk and desk chair. Traditionally I think the single rooms catered to business travelers who only needed one or two nights. I was staying a week so a small arm chair would have been more comfortable for a senior citizen like me. The receptionist recommended I ask for a different chair next time and they would try to accommodate me. Also, if you're a senior citizenDurrants is a comfortable well appointed small hotel, beware that English bathtubs are quite high and you need to be agile enough to step over the side. There may be rooms with walk in showers, but I didn't check on that. Bath mats are provided in each room.

• emilie (9/5): Parfait hotel de charme à l'anglaise - Chambre ravissante dans un style anglais, lit confortable et placard de rangement. Salle de bain très agréable aussi. L'hotel a un charme fou, avec son feu de cheminée, ses salons, on a presque pas envie d'en bouger ! Petit déjeuner à la carte qui permet de composer avec son appétit. Il y a un charmant salon où manger des scones. Le service de chambre a baclé dans la journée du dimanche le menage de ma chambre : lit à peine fait, les coussins étaient encore sur les fauteuils ou par terre, la vaisselle du service à thé pas débarassée alors qu'elle était sale. C'est dommage. La salle de bain avait été faite, mais cela a perdu un peu de son charme de rentrer et de retrouver un lit à moitié fait.

• G6531HYjackiew (10/5): Wonderful Hotel - My partner and I stayed at Durrants Hotel in February as we had a black tie event nearby. Unfortunately I fell in the bathroom and split my head open. The staff were unbelievably kind and helpful in making sure I got to hospital and whilst we were there cleaned up the bathroom (which was looking like a scene from a Tarantino movie when we left!) They checked in with us on our return and brought us tea etc. which was a lovely gesture. The hotel is spotless and calm with spacious rooms and nice areas to sit. A particular thanks to the manager (I think), a Welsh lady (really sorry I forgot your name) who took care of us. All the staff were great and helpful. Highly recommend Durrants Hotel :)
• Andrew (9/5): A great stay in a super hotel - The overall ambience of Durrants is exceptional. I particularly liked all the spaces where one could sit and relax. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and our room was very comfortable. The service at breakfast was very slow.
• Mary (10/5): Charming hotel in Great Location - This family-owned establishment is charming (and as one cabby told me,"very English") with a staff who go out of their way to look after you. I am an older female who was travelling alone and the Durrant's staff made me feel like I was "home" during my week-long stay. Also, I am a clean-freak and Durrant's definitely passed muster! This was my second time staying at this hotel; my husband and I were guests a year ago and we'll definitely stay at Durrant's during our next trip.
• ivanbX148EG (10/5): My favorite hotel anywhere in the world - I travel to London fairly regularly for work, and I always insist that my boss book me at the Durrants. It's truly a home away from home and I'm enthralled by it! The location is perfect, a short walk from Oxford and Bond Streets. It's located in Marylebone Village, a quaint and cozy neighborhood, and it's a wonderful area for late evening strolls. The Durrants has several charming parlor rooms where one can sit and have tea (or something stronger), and I've had delightful conversations in these parlor rooms with fellow guests. The hotel exudes comfort, character and old world charm, and best of all, it's across the street from one of my fave museums, the Wallace Collection, so that every morning I can visit my favorite pictures at the Wallace and have breakfast at the Wallace's cafe. I'm looking forward to my next visit at the end of the year... my room is already booked!

So welcoming and cosy. Rooms was quite small but comfy beds and nice fluffy towels. We’ve stayed here many times and will always return . Friendly helpful staff too. Room a little on the small side but wouldn’t put us off returning

• HugoW_12 (8/5): Pleasant Surprise! - This review refers to the Restaurant only, as we did not stay at the Hotel. We had parked our car right outside the Hotel as we had some business further down the road. On the way back we felt bit pecking and decided to try our luck and see the Restaurant in the Durrants Hotel. We were told that the Restaurant was fully booked for the evening, but they had one table for 2, which is really all we needed. The place was a little bit cramped, but we were told that this was not their usual restaurant, as this was under refurbishment and that they had temporily relocated the Restaurant into this samller place. But it was adequate. The service was efficient and friendly, and the food was actually quite good, although a bit on the pricey side. We would go back if in the area next time.

• Chris (8/5): Very comfortable and enjoyable - Breakfast excellent. Location perfect for me. Cosy lounge and bar areas lovely and relaxing particularly when you’re travelling alone

• Sonja (9/5): - Die Lage ist hervorragend gleich neben der Marylebone High Street. Das Frühstück war sehr klein. Es gab kein Buffet und nur ein Getränk und eine Speise die inkludiert waren.
