• Karina (10/5): Hotel Mariposa: un rincón especial en el corazón de Málaga - Mi estancia en el Hotel Mariposa fue excelente. El hotel es muy limpio, cómodo y me sentí muy segura durante todo el viaje, incluso viajando sola. La ubicación es perfecta: pude ir caminando a prácticamente todos los lugares importantes de Málaga — el centro histórico, Muelle Uno, la playa, museos y restaurantes. El personal fue increíblemente amable y atento. Siempre me saludaban con una sonrisa y me ayudaron mucho durante mi estancia. Gracias a ellos, me sentí muy bienvenida desde el primer día. Málaga fue una experiencia preciosa para mí y este hotel fue una gran parte de ello. Sin duda volvería 💛 -

Breakfast great with a good range of choices. Staff very friendly and helpful. Roof terrace and bar a great spot to relax. The hotel ticked all our boxes.

• Penelope (8/5): An excellent hotel for a visit to Malaga. - We really liked the location of the Mariposa. Everything in walking distance and an area of character but not noisy. Close to super restaurants and bars. The breakfast had a good offering with plenty of choice. We loved all the art work and the roof top bar. Carpet in our bedroom was very much the worse for wear.

• Richard (9/5): Would defo go back. Made to feel v welcome - It grew on me as I spent each day there. Mainly good points about being just outside centre. Staff were fantastic. Roof top great. Slightly off beaten track but not by far. I’m splitting hairs really as only 5 mins walk from centre.

The receptionist was helpful as my husband had a leg injury & was walking with a crutch so we asked if we could move to a room that just had a walk-in shower as the bath was too high. They immediately transferred us to another cosy room this made showering much easier. There wasn't anything we didn't like & especially liked the roof top bar. The modern style of the hotel was excellent.

The carpets in the rooms and throughout are worn and stained and need replacing. The only real sitting area was the roof terrace which was nice but the bar is closed on a Monday, why?

• Alisonsnazz (10/5): A couple exploring malaga - On arrival we were upgraded to a junior suite. The room was stunning and the air-conditioning was great. The bed was so comfy we laid in most mornings. The room was 201. The room was next to the lift, we did not hear the lift at all and we were grateful for the upgrade. The breakfast in the morning was really nice and a shout out to the man who clears the tables and puts the food out, he is very efficient and friendly. The hotel is in the old town and everything is close by. There are many nice bars in the same street at the hotel. In the evenings we used the hotels roof top bar fir a night cap before bed. The staff up there are nice friendly and efficient, at night it is stunning with lights and the prices are reasonable. If I vist malaga again I would definitely stsy here again and recondmend this hotel to friends

• TravelingAnnK (10/5): Boutique Hotel in old city center - I stayed in the Mariposa Hotel for two nights. The location was perfect for the Picasso Museum and the Cathedral. The room was big and the bed comfortable. The hotel is charming with eclectic art. The breakfast has many choices. I was very happy with the hotel and I felt safe there. Traveling solo that is important to me.

• Dunja (6/5): The biggest advantage of this hotel is definitely its excellent location. - The biggest advantage of this hotel is definitely its excellent location. The accommodation itself is decent and the rooms are clean and tidy. However, one major downside is the lack of air conditioning – even with an outside temperature of around 25°C, the rooms were extremely hot and poorly ventilated, which made the stay quite uncomfortable. Breakfast is rather basic and limited, more in line with a two-star standard. The rooftop bar has a nice atmosphere, although its opening hours seem a bit inconsistent. That said, the staff there are especially friendly and welcoming. Overall, the hotel’s main value truly lies in its location. There is definitely room for improvement

Location is superb, the hotel is situated in a great area with many tapas bars but also so close to the historic centre, port, beach etc. Caught the train from the airport and easy walk from the train station. Hotel is a perfect size, not too big, all staff so welcoming and friendly, large room, everything spotless. Loved the roof terrace to relax at the end of each day. Thankyou!

• Sonia (8/5): - Sehr zentral gelegen. Cafés und Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe. Früh morgens (muss so sein, weil keine Menschen unterwegs sind) wurde das Altglas entsorgt. Alt-Glaskontainer direkt vor dem Hotel. Mit geschlossenem Fenster aber kein Problem. Ohrenstöpsel sind aber zu empfehlen.

• ΣΤΑΜΑΤΗΣ (10/5): - Πολυ βολικη θεση, ανετο δωματιο, ευγενικο προσωπικο και μας επετρεψαν να αφησουμε το αμαξι στο παρκιν μεχρι να φυγουμε για το αεροδρομιο τη τελευταια μερα! Ολα ηταν πολυ καλα. Ισως θα μπορουσε στην τιμη αυτη να περιλαμβανεται και το πρωινο αντι να χρεωνεται εξτρα.

• carol (10/5): This is our second visit and I know we will return. - We like the central location. A short walk to the sea and the historic centre . The rooftop bar and sun deck are great place to relax after a busy day. The breakfast buffet is excellent.

• joke (9/5): Dit hotel heeft een prachtige locatie, mooie kamers en zeer behulpzaam personeel. Echt een aanrader! - De locatie, personeel, schone kamers. Het hotel is smaakvol ingericht met kunstwerken. Misschien kan er een drankautomaat worden geplaatst, want de bar gaat pas om half 4 open. Je kan natuurlijk naar de supermarkt, maar dan heb je toch het gemak in huis.
