• Gert (4/5): - The check-in process was very slow, which was frustrating after traveling. The balcony faced what seemed like a gun range or similar facility, with constant loud noise that made it hard to relax. I also received an immediate call at exactly 12:00 noon when checking out, with no flexibility even for a few extra minutes. On the positive side, the room was clean and spacious, the design of the hotel is beautiful, and the breakfast staff were very kind and attentive. The location is also convenient, especially being close to the cruise port.

Entrance lobby & bar are super, lovely smell & great way to enter a property. View from the bar over the port is fab. However the operation of the hotel is a nightmare. Completely disorganised, reception, breakfast all a nightmare. During our stay there was a corporate pool party till 1am and the people in the next room set the fire alarm off smoking. All in all I wouldn't stay again.

Balconies are looking very tired and in need of maintenance. Needs a paint front outside levels 1 and upwards only refreshed ground level. Breakfast very good and lovely eating area.

• Mark (6/5): - Upon arrival, we were disappointed to find no shower gel provided in the room. Despite raising the issue with reception on four separate occasions throughout the stay, the staff were persistently unresponsive and demonstrated a concerning lack of understanding regarding basic guest needs. Requests for shower gel were repeatedly met with shampoo products, despite clear explanations and clarifications. On the final day, a staff member brought an assortment of mini toiletries to the room—again, predominantly shampoo—leaving us to manually search for a suitable item myself. There was no apology, nor any acknowledgement of the inconvenience caused. Additionally, the hotel permitted extremely loud music to play until 2:00 a.m. on our first night, which rendered sleep after a long day of travel virtually impossible. This level of noise disruption is entirely unacceptable in a hospitality setting. Overall, the experience was marred by poor communication, inadequate guest service, and a disregard for basic comfort standards. Such a shame as the hotel has so much potential, but please do everyone a favour and fire your staff and hire a new team.
• jeff (6/5): - The location was very good. The staff was excellent. Great attitudes and very pleasant to deal with. Very quite area. Pleasant walk to Old Town, Gothic area and attractions, but only during the day. Homeless and drug users on the path. The hotel was dated. We rented a suite with ocean views, which was decent views. Bird feces all over deck and deck furniture. Ceiling in room looked flooded and damaged. Wood trim was sanded but not stained. Overall, I would say this is a 3 star hotel and not worth the 500 Euros we paid per night. I would not pay more than 250 Euros for a room here.

• Jill (10/5): - The property was on a hill overlooking Barcelona with beautiful views and lots of greenery. There was a cable car right behind the hotel that went down to the beach and a stunning garden with succulents just next to the property. The coffee in the room was espresso. EXCELLENT! The bath tub in the room was very luxurious. We didn't pay for the beach view but got a room with that view anyway. Bonus!

The hotel employees from the front desk to the restaurant and maid service were all top notch and very friendly. The breakfast was excellent! The outdoor pool was lovely. Only small issue was that towels at the pool were not always readily available.

The staff were all wonderful. Spa treatments had and very much enjoyed. Breakfast delicious. Friendly staff and very clean hotel.

• John (6/5): - Was not impressed with the check-in staff. The room was very hot. A/C was a joke, temperature never went down. We ended up leaving the balcony window open in order to have a cool night to sleep. The only reason we choose to stay there because it was close to the cruise terminal.

Also they have no separate bathroom - a huge bath tub is in the room next to the beds and the vanities are also not in a separate room

• Victor (8/5): - The hotel is nice, but the area terrible, full.of homeless and crazy people. I was scared because we are a family with 2 kids. We couldn't go around, explore or even walking with tranquility because the public out there!

The check in staff were not very helpful and in order to get a question answered you had to have them check to make sure you were a guest of the hotel. It was annoying and time consuming.

This hotel is a distance to downtown and is located on a hill, meaning downtown is down the hill.The view is great. The pool bar staff is super!!! The front desk staff is where I had problem. From the disorganization to the snobby attitudes of some staff, left me thinking that I was bothering them when I checked in. The man at the front desk wouldn't answer a sumple question about taxis without us giving him our room number and names and checking on his computer we were quests.

• Daisy (2/5): Low Quality- 1 Star - It was uncomfortable from the start. The site states airport shuttle transfer it they do not have that service. They will get you a taxi for 99 euros. I got a taxi at the airport for 30 euros. There were roaches in the room. There was a leak from the ceiling for 6 days, I was not offered any solution for 7 days. There is a foul odor. The housekeepers barged in my room on 3 occasions and I was not properly dressed. For 2 of those occasions, I had the “Do not Disturb” sign. Staff are either nice or rude, no in between. I conveyed my concerns to the director and she did nothing.

It’s a shame that they are trying to monetise the loungers around the pool where half of them (the best ones) are reservation only and up to EUR 200 for the day. They used to all be available to hotel guests at no extra cost. The gym has been the same for the past 10 years and is quite run down, with the only weights machine not working and no air conditioning so it’s very hot from the pool. The rest of the hotel is great though and I would always come back
• Daniel John (2/5): - The hotel was under maintenance which led to a number of issues, this included no hot water and problems with the water pressure which left toilets flushing throughout the night. The tv did not work, there was a door missing in the room from the bedroom to lounge. This was not the suite which I had booked. I paid a premium rate for a suite however this is not the room we were placed in on arrival. The hotel manager told us the hotel was fully booked and no options for a resolution. This was simply unacceptable. I found this very distressing, it was not pleasant.

Had a water leak in the room overnight at the ac unit and had to put towels down reported this the morning but has not been fixed wallpaper and bottom of door is wet. Water runs out the coffee machine and a smell of dampness in the room

Had to call 5 times to reach the front desk or room service every time I called. Every machine in the gym was broken. I got locked in the spa bathroom for 15 minutes before having to break through the door. Coffee machine and mini-fridge were broken or working improperly. Overall disappointing for a 5 star hotel

The room we stayed in had a stain on one of the couches and that type of stuff has to be checked and dealt with but other than that a great hotel and would definitely stay there again. Nice Spa and Pool, good food and drink, lovely rooms with terraces. Much nicer than the cramped hotels in the centre of town. The staff are SUPERB. We had our hire car broken into and they could not do enough to help us. Excellent excellent service from ALL the front desk staff. I highly recommend this hotel.

Many stains in lobby restaurant on chairs carpet etc. the rooms aren’t properly plumbed. Strong sewage odor when using shower or bathtub. The views are beautiful. Great location for walks runs. Easy walk to the beach and into city centre. Food is not good as well.

If you are just staying at the hotel or plan to use taxi’s full time it is excellent; however the hike up and down through the park/garden (used as dog park) to the city and metro system was inconvenient and left you feeling dusty.

Our balcony was not really shielded, it was just next to the terrace of the bar and the balcony chairs and table were not cleaned, there was bird droppings on them. The first day our room also felt a bit damp, but after proper airing, this was completely gone by day 2. But overall a great stay, friendly staff, nice pool with beautiful garden to spend the hot day in.

• Salman (10/5): - Beautiful Hotel !! Nice location and Amazing views outside the hotel. The Entire hotel and the room smells like nice flower. Loved the balcony and the bath tub. The Staff was really nice when we checked in at 1 am. But the housekeeping entered the room the first day while we were sleeping, did not have any kind of signs on the door, another negative point about the hotel is the walls are really thin, If you sleep till late you can hear everything whats going on in the hallway. Had A great stay over all !!

• Scott (10/5): Excellent - Excellent hotel, great staff, pool, food & drink. Perfect location for Olympic Stadium (went to see Coldplay) but also easy walk down to Ramblas (15/20 minutes). Steep walk back but manageable just take your time or use cable car.
• Prescott (10/5): - The Miramar is a splendid hotel. Rooms and bathrooms are large are comfortable. Staff is excellent including our favorite doorman ever, Nicolas. Food is fine and not expensive. Spa is first rate and not overly expensive. But go for the comfort and ambiance.

• Stephen (10/5): - The property is nestled in Parc Montjuic which has great walking opportunities both in the Parc to Castell de Montjuic, and down into Barcelona itself in about 20 minutes. The staff could not have been helpful, the room was fabulous, the indoor pool nice and warm and the breakfast was excellent. My Wife and I thoroughly enjoyed a 1 night stop over before taking a cruise from the cruise port.

• Agnieszka (10/5): - way above my expectations. Staff was very helpful and polite. Lobby is just gorgeous, tastefully designed. The bar has a terrace where you can sit , have a meal or a drink (so is the poolside). I used the lobby terrace while I was waiting for my check-in time. The suit is just perfect: huge bathroom, equipped with a bidet!/ shower and a perfect-sized, clean bathtub. And did I mention the beautiful view from the room terrace at the ocean and the bay? Terrace itself is large with automatic shades and very comfy chairs and a table. The hotel is located on the hill and surrounded by gardens, trees and the promenade which is public, so people can enjoy the ocean/city view while walking or jogging. It is a bit steep walk uphill from the public transportation (15 min), but the hotel has a quick access to everything- including restaurants and stores. I walked 30-40 min from Barceloneta beach (using google map) and it was a very nice walk. I think the it was recently renovated because everything was clean and looked really new. I recommend this place without reservations.

Dangerous. Also was surprised that my non-premium room did not include a simple coffee-maker. The restaurant was closed to 7:30 AM and room service was not available for my 6:30 AM departure. Shocked that a simple coffee maker was not standard. I booked this one day stay after missing a flight. I am a high net worth premium traveler; this was my hand-shake introduction to a future premium stay. Don't be penny-wise, pound foolish. Otherwise, I loved the property.

• Ana (4/5): Would not recommend - First room was generally in a worn out state, bathroom doors seemed unstable but at least seemed clean. Found a cockroach in the middle of the night in our room. We were moved to the room next door, which was in better condition. Although I understand this is outside of their control, staff was not particularly sorry or concerned. General attitude of the staff was pretty grumpy. Apparently, also difficult to use the amenities - such as the pool - given the constant 'private events'. Apparently you need to pay EUR500 to use a sun lounger next to the pool?

• selx (10/5): - The property is located far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the main town streets so is quiet at night but not to far away for a brisk walk to La Rambla which was about 20 mins away. Because it is high up a hill, it is not very suitable for anyone who struggles with mobility walking but there are plenty of taxis around and does not cost that much into the main town, about 10-15 euros

• Nicky (6/5): A little disappointing - I had decided to go a little extravagant when booking my hotel for Barcelona as I was in need of a treat - unfortunately The Miramar did not live up to expectation. I booked a superior room as it had a balcony and this was absolutely lovely - overlooking the outdoor pool, it was definitely a highlight. However it did feel like the lovely balcony was there to distract us from the poorer areas in the room. The bathroom was large and had both a bath and separate shower, however the roof of the shower had black mould and the large flooring slabs were very unsteady. There was a small seating area in the bedroom and while the chairs were very comfortable they were in need of repair as the wrapped detail around the arms was falling off. The beds were very comfortable so we always slept well which was great. A word of warning though there is a military shooting range very nearby which is quiet loud and persistent, I must say I got used to it but my mum became quiet frustrated with the constant popping noises. Breakfast was delicious and it was a delight to sit out on the terrace for this. We only used the indoor pool once which is also in need of some tlc, the roof was also water stained/damaged and the water feature down the glass was quite grotty. All in all we did enjoy our stay but ultimately would not return to the Miramar as the price we paid absolutely does not reflect the high standard we anticipated.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful property and hotel. Rooms very lovely and clean and quiet and views of the water and city galore. Right next to the park used for the 1992 Olympics was a nice surprise. Will stay there again for sure!

While the bar and restaurant have been refurbished and maintain a 5 star look and feel the rooms are starting to look tires. The staff are all exceptional and the view makes up for any decoration issues
• Tim (10/5): Spanish Gem! - We had to extend our stay as our return flight was cancelled and local airport closed we were very pleasantly surprised with this Hotel. Very quiet, excellent accommodations and amenities. Great service. We made the best of our delayed return home at Hotel Miramar. Definitely a gem!
• Jennifer (8/5): Lovely Stay at Hotel Miramar-Far from sights/shops - We definitely recommend Hotel Miramar. Very nice stay. We quite enjoyed having wine with the lovely view from our balcony. It overlooked the park that was full over passerby's and dogs. We had an early flight and the front desk made our travel arrangements very simply for us. If you haven't been to Barcelona and want to be in the heart of sightseeing or shopping the fun alleyways, stay somewhere closer to La Rambla. If you're looking for a relaxing and romantic stay and don't mind taking a taxi, Hotel Miramar might be for you. Walking to La Rambla is 20 minutes and Miramar is situated on top of a good size hill. We typically walk everywhere and opted to taxi on the way back to the hotel because of this.

• Verified traveler (2/5): - Asked for early check in several weeks in advance, which they responded to & said they would try to honor. Upon check in, had no record of request for early check in. Was asked to sign documents reflecting a different guest's name. Worked thru that issue, then at 10am was promised room at 1:30pm. Waited 4 hours, then at 2:00 the rude Manager said no room until 3:00. Pressed issue, & a room miraculously became available 10 mins later. Manager took stubs for 5 checked bags & said they would be delivered immediately. Waited 1.5 hours & no bags arrived. Went down to front desk & manager was clueless about our bags. They showed me into their storeroom where i had to find, retrieve & then carry 5 bags to 3rd floor myself. Manager called to say "someone messed up" and offered to send a bottle of sparkling wine. I told him I can't drink & asked if he could just credit our bill that amount for the wine & he agreed. Stopped and questioned if the credit was done later, and he said he would not do it. I then told him about the many issues in the room. He said he wanted to sit down to discuss them, and then snuck out and was never around for the rest of our stay. - Balcony door stuck, have to throw body into it to open - water stands in bathroom sink for 10-15 minutes. - Urine stains on toilet seat & floor. - Toilet seat cracked, thought it wou

• Tony (8/5): - Property is starting to show its age. Small things such as water stains on bathroom floor and ceiling, faulty lighting. No turn down service. No ability to change currencies. This is not a 5 star hotel.
