Olga (10/5): - The hotel is in prime location of Moscow, just within a walking distance from Red Square, Bolshoi Theater and many other attractions. Also, conveniently situated in a walking distance from major central metro stations. The staff is very helpful, polite and accommodative. I was offered a late check out and early check in. One thing that needs improvement is the restaurant's menu (both for breakfast and dining in). Considering there are so many wonderful restaurants in the area, Peter 1 restaurant is definitely lacking the variety.

Breakfast could be had until 11am, very civilised. And what a breakfast, with variety fit for a King. The standard room was excellent with a great bed fine shower room and sufficient furniture to make you feel at home. Most impressive was the most courteous, helpful and informative staff who made us feel most welcome throughout our stay.

At the end of the block is a square where you have live music - talented street performers and bands - just about nightly and weekend. Off the square is the new wing of the GUM store and the Bolshoi. Across the street and a few minutes more is the entrance to the Red Square. Good size room. Clean and comfortable. Nightly piano music at the lobby bar. Old but not necessary tired. Will stay there again if in Moscow.
matt (4/5): Great location, that's about it. - When I arrived at the hotel, around 10pm I was greeted at the front desk by two women who were the only "nice" staff that I ran into the entire trip. They informed me that one of my rooms had been cancelled due to a mix up with expedia. After 10 minutes they informed me that they would honor the room, but made it feel as if the mix up had been my fault for some reason. The hotel states on their website that breakfast is included with your room, yet for some reason both rooms did not include breakfast. The room itself seemed bare, and the bed was too hard for my liking. Most boutique hotels that I stay at usually have some sort of turn down service, which this hotel didn't seem to have. I had gone down to the front desk several time to ask directions to places around the city, and each time seemed like the staff were burdened with my inquiries. I can't say for sure if they were being rude or if this is just a cultural difference. I would have expected more from hotel staff memeber though. The breakfast buffet which cost about $30 usd, was horrible. Minimal selection, with only some eggs, and breakfast sausage as the main hot foods. I ended up having cereal each day, which for $30 didn't make me happy. While we could have tried to find a breakfast spot near the hotel most were closed at 7am. On our fourth day we were looking to relax, and saw that the hotel had spa services. The spa was a joke, a small room tucked in the corner of the lobby. Just all around bad experience.

Language barrier (few spoke english) affected conmunications with personnel but they were friendly and a highlight were concierge guys. The weekend person in charge of cleaning our room did not do a good job on our bed. Plenty of places nearby to eat and have some drinks.

Art (6/5): Not a five-star hotel but in good location - The hotel is definitely not a five-star facility but more of a four-star property enjoying good location. The room was a bit cramped, there was no bath tube, only shower, and the TV screen was the size of a laptop without an adjustable screen format. However, the staff was nice and helpful.

Do not expect a five star hotel, which is what you might think you get when paying closer to $300 per night! We arrived very early, around 7 am and we got our room without additional charges although check in time is 2pm. Very kind staff, clean room and fantastic location. Moscow is one of the most beautiful capitals in the world.

Anton (10/5): Awesome hotel, service, and experience. - Central to all that you would like to do. Shopping roadway (no cars allowed) just down the block, great for a stroll. Incredible food for insanely low prices just on the corner of the walkway on the opposite side of hotel and other side of walkway. My wife and I got 3 appetizers, 4 entre's, 6 drinks, and desert for under $25, home made, good portions, and absolutely delicious. I would also recommend getting breakfast included with your stay. It is not your typical American "continental breakfast", doesn't even comare to breakfasts in other European hotels. Served in the hotel's restaurant, is a luxurious and immensely expansive buffet of fresh home made foods, meats, deserts, I could go on and on, and coupled with outstanding service from wait staff. Dinner there is delicious, but pricey, I would recommend going out. Various museums and sights within a few minutes walk. The red square and all the other major sights are also walking distance, about 15 minutes. Definitely a recommended place to stay. Oh, and did I mention, the world's possibly most famous sauna and spa is just across the street!?

The neighborhood is five stars. The staff was attentive and helpful. The breakfast was really great with a huge buffet of everything you could possibly want. It was a great experience at this hotel. Before embarking, we researched all sorts of lotions in Moscow, and with the Peter I we made the right choice.

Eva and Paul (8/5): Very pleased to be in Moscow - The hotel Petr 1 was a nice experience for us. We were welcomed and provided with excellent service from our arrival until our departure. We stayed for five nights in the middle of winter. The heating was sufficient and adjustable in our room, the bed was very comfortable and everything functioned well including the internet. The range of food at breakfast is wonderful and the service 1st class. We enjoyed the swimming pool and Turkish steam room every evening after to cold outside. Petr 1 is a Russian hotel with a wonderful ambiance and staying in this hotel was very much part of the very nice experience we had in Moscow. We recommend the local experience rather than the international chain hotels.
Christopher (8/5): From a Peter I regular - Great as usual but very poor quality shower. They also miss a trick by not recognising / welcoming repeat customers. The nearby metropol does better on this count.

Breakfast was very good with a huge choice of hot and cold items. 24 hour bar in the hotel with good selection of food - very useful if you arrive late in the evening. Our twin room had 2 double beds in, was roomy, clean and with a good sized bathroom.
Laura (10/5): Perfect Moscow Hotel - A 10 minute walk from Red Square and the Bolshoi. Beautiful, large rooms with spacious bathrooms. Big, comfy lobby to meet up with friends and adjacent - a lovely hotel bar with pianist. Every type of breakfast imaginable and all delicious. Total value for money - would not hesitate to recommend and will stay there again someday (hopefully!).

Reasonable continental breakfast, for me personally, not enough fresh fruit and muesli. It's okay if you like cake or salad for breakfast! Reception staff helpful and spoke good English.
Verified traveler (2/5): Not helpful / friendly staff! - We stayed there for only one night. No body helped with our suitcases at the very beginning. Then, the water in bathroom was not clear. It was dark brown with sands. So we called the reception, they asked the room number and someone supposed to come and check. After 30 min, nobody showed up. So my husband went to the reception desk. They said something is wrong with city water and we should just let the water run till it become clear. No apology, no sympathy. It took us another 20 min till the water finally become usable. Then we asked for a bottle of water. They said they do not have water and we have to buy it from a grocery store nearby! People there had real difficulties speaking English and they were not friendly/helpful at all. For the money that you are paying you definitely can get a better service somewhere else.

Alison (10/5): A lovely hotel in the center of Moscow - This was my first trip to Moscow, and I was traveling solo. This hotel was very nice and comfortable, and the service was friendly. The location is terrific, a short walk from the city center, Bolshoi Theater and Teatralnaya Metro station. The complimentary breakfast was excellent, and there was free wifi in the rooms. There were other amenities, like a pool and fitness center, that I didn't have time to check out. Moscow can be a challenging city to get around, especially if you use the Metro to visit other parts of the city, so it's nice to have a hotel where you can relax and feel secure.
del27 (10/5): Lovely hotel & staff. Excellent location - Staff friendly and helpful - speak perfect English. Breakfast - plentiful (service a bit slow for coffee). Rooms- comfortable, spacious, clean. A lovely hotel in a fantastic location, just 5 mins walk from the Bolshoi, 10 mins to the Kremlin. Lots of Metro options nearby.
Verified traveler (6/5): - Very good location, nice breakfast. Many technical problems: The extra bed was broken, our kid fall down from it. Our door key didn't work and we couldn't enter the room at night for 1 hour until the very rude engineer came to fix the battery. Make your taxi deals yourself, taxi driver outside the door gave us half price vs the boy at the reception to the airport.
Alex (10/5): Excellent service and location. - It was a great experience, hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, room was clean, cozy and bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was great with many varieties which was updated every morning. Our room faced small and quiet street. We did not have time to explore all hotel amendmenties. Location is excellent within the area with restaurant and bars and in 5 min walk to Bolshoi theater and about 15 min walk to the Red Square.

Mohsin (10/5): Excellent Stay in central Moscow - A family of 4 we stayed for 8+2 nights in 2 rooms. The rooms were comfortable & clean, provided with necessary toiletry. The window view to the main street which is live and not noisy. The door to the room was hard to close. Free Hi-speed Wifi everywhere in the hotel, which is convenient but you have to log-in everytime you come back to hotel. Free daily newspaper in different languages. It has nice swimming pool but small gym. The hotel is in a very good location easy access to many attractions. 5 min walk to many Cafes, restaurants, TsUM mall, Metro station, & the Bolshoi Theater. Also at 10 min walk to the Red Square & the Kremlin. The buffet breakfast was good with varieties. The service was excellent & speedy in providing us with whatever we asked, coffee kettle, iron & board. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A special Thank You to Ms. Evgenia from the Reception for her helpful info & guidance to find our way to city attractions. The hotel accepted gladly to store our luggage for 1 night without any extra charge. Recommended hotel to stay.
Jan (10/5): This hotel was much nicer than expected. - This hotel was large, clean, very posh. My room was so much nicer and larger than I expected and the staff at the desk were kind and spoke some English, which is very helpful! Breakfast was very good and served on china, with silverware and tablecloths. I was close to the Kremlin and could walk easily. My only negative regarding the place was the huge amount the concierge marked up the tickets for the circus. (Nearly double!) We could have got them online for 60 bucks, not the 100 apiece that was charged. So consider avoiding the concierge unless you have to have his help! Probably standard procedure in many hotels!
Venton (10/5): 2 wonderful days in Moscow. - The hotel was wonderful and it was a great location. It was less than a ten minute walk to the Kremlin. There were plenty of restaurants that are open all night. The room was very quiet and I would stay here again.

Dmitry (10/5): Very nice hotel! Location even better! - Really liked this hotel. Awesome location. Just a few minutes walk to the Red Square. As a visitor, you want to avoid traffic jams and subway as much as you can. Living in the center of Moscow is just fantastic. Lots of attractions, shops, restaurants.

Rhonda (8/5): Peter I hotel - I truly enjoyed this hotel. The location is great, about a ten minute walk to Red Square and the Bolshoi. The rooms are incredibly comfortable, and the breakfast every morning is very good. My only issue was that I tried to contact them by email before the trip and it took two weeks for them to get back to me, but once I got arrived there were know issues and I would stay there again.

The staff are very helpful and friendly, the reception and the concierge spoke good English which was very helpful, their breakfast was satisfying, but in Hotel rating it can't be ranked more than three stars, it is holiday inn type, I will highly recommended, the only complain I have is the noisy street and it could last till 2-3am

Verified traveler (8/5): Great little hotel, a little far from attractions - This is a great little hotel, but a little far from the Kremlin and the Red Square, - it's a little up the road from Bolshoi theatre. However has all the facilities required for a comfortable stay. Peter I is appointed a 5 star hotel, probably a little overrated, maybe a 4 star, as if you were to compare to other 5 star hotels in Moscow (such as Hotel National, Four Season and Ritz Carlton) it doesn't really live up the 5 star hotel standards in Moscow. The rooms are big but the bathrooms small, the breakfast is sufficient but just that little bit short on taste. Staff are friendly enough.
Verified traveler (10/5): Fully recommend staying at Peter I - We arrived on one of the busiest weekends of the year in Moscow (May 9th) and whilst getting to the hotel on that particular day was a bit of an issue due to its proximity to The Kremlin (security, road closures etc) it was worth the trouble. The hotel was excellent and staff very courteous and helpful. The room was very comfortable but neither of these things usually matter too much for us, it was simply down to location. The hotel is in a fantastic spot, approximately 7 mins walk to The Bolshoi and 10 mins to The Kremlin. Good proximity to metro stations too. Breakfast was very good indeed and had a enough selection for all morning tastes. Beds were large and very comfortable. Surrounding the hotel are some fantastic places to eat and drink so we certainly never went hungry or free from Vodka! Suffice to say that when we visit Moscow again, and we will, we’ll be staying at Peter I
Tory (10/5): Excellent location. - The hotel is wonderfully located. It takes less than 15 minutes to walk to the Red Square. Other points of interest (Arbat, New Arbat, Tverskaya Stree etc.) are also within a walking distance. The neighborhood is very safe and clean. Had a lot of fun just walking around!
