- Charlotte (6/5): Basic but ok for a short stay - Location was great and the staff at check in and check out were very friendly and efficient. Bed was comfortable. Someone had clearly been smoking in the room so it smelled very stale and musty. The aircon was not strong enough and even at 16 degrees on the dial, it definitely didn’t go below 24/25 degrees all night so very uncomfortable. The curtains didn’t shut properly so I had to wedge them closed with a cushion. Overall not at the level I was expecting of the Ascott.

There is also a bump at the corner of the carpet because of the electrical switches underneath (another possible hazard). The free wifi also not working well. All 4 of us have problems connecting.

- Laith (9/5): a great place to stay with a family and the location is amazing - the location is great, just few minuets walk to KLCC and to the bridge that leads to pavilion mall so it was very convenient. the staff are all great and helpful a small supermarket next to the lobby was convenient the laundry on the 22nd floor is a very helpful service the tennis court was great overall experience was really really good expect a bit of car and bikes noise from the surroundings especially at night but that is completely normal for the city as I have experienced this in other hotels in the city as well

- Karen (8/5): Very impressed with the customer service, location & facilities - Location was 4 minute walk to Petronas Towers. Plenty of dining options within walking distance and the KLCC shopping centre. We had a 2 bed apartment which was very spacious. The swimming pool was clean and soft fresh pool towels available. We used the day spa facility for massages & facials - highly recommend. The staff were very welcoming and went out of their way to assist us. Overall, our stay was most enjoyable. Due to traffic it took 2.5hrs to get from the airport to the hotel. The return trip was quicker at just over an hour.

I don’t think the room had been cleaned to a satisfactory standard before our stay. The bathroom in particular was not very clean, especially the shower. There was plastic cellophane on the floor in the bedroom suggesting the room had not been hoovered before our stay. Staff were ok, not particularly friendly or accommodating (we requested a late check out as we had a late flight and it was only possible to extend for an additional 2hrs. On our trip, we also spent 3 nights at the Ascott Star which was a superior experience, I would recommend you stay at the Star, it is nicer than the Ascott and the staff and service are much better!

However it got too dirty this time, and everyday it wasnt cleaned properly and the facilities are getting too old.
