Bathroom was amazing, had large bathtub. Located in North Bund, a short didi ride away from main tourist sites. Staff were helpful and professional. The hotel lobby was so luxe and their restaurant was very nice too. I would definitely stay here again. Everything was perfect.

The room is very small and it is fully occupied by the bed. Bathroom can be more spacious if they eliminate the bath tub. And let describe my awkward experience I had at the Hotel Spa. I reserved for a deep tissue massage, as after a long time of travelling, I need to stress a little my muscles. The massage went well but by the end the therapist started to play with my nipples. I said her to stop but she continued and on the top she wanted to make me a blowjob. I said again to stop and I felt very uncomfortable and I started to get stressed. I went to a hotel spa to have a real massage, if I needed a massage with happy end, I knew where to go I refused to pay the charge and at the end as nobody speaks English, the communication was with Google translation, they called the police. Again the communication was difficult, so I give up, as there was no meaning to continue the fight. On the other hand when I arrived they didn’t had the reservation, although I had reserved since 14th of January 2026. The next morning they found the reservation The charge for the 3 nights was 2400 yuan, they got a deposit of 3500 yuan and during my stay, 3 times the reception had informed the Bar & the Restaurant that I couldn’t charge a bill to my account as there were no money, so check your reservation and check frequently your account She above

- AndrewN424 (4/5): Not what it is cracked up to be. - We stayed here twice, at the start and end of our tour of China and this is a composite review. The hotel is well located for the Bund and views over Shanghai. On the first occasion we were early attempting to check in and were turned away until 1500 - an hour after the advertised check in time! When we got into our room it was spacious and comfortable, but the air conditioning did not cool, rather it warmed an already over heated room. This was still the case for our second visit. On this occasion our room was so small there was scarcely space to get around the bed without walking into the TV - definitely not acceptable. WiFi was poor and so slow as to not be worth using.

The room was what I needed and comfortable. I travelled alone and the staff were always helpful. Concierge checked on me when they saw I was waiting a while. I tend to be super early !! It’s a little luxury and care without breaking the bank.

- 803msf (8/5): Retro style hotel - The location is ok. Short walk to the large SMP mall and Cruise terminal metro station. Rooms are fairly large, with a full size tub and walk in shower. There are a number of construction sites around the hotel, with work commencing early in the morning and into the evening. I suggest asking for a higher floor room, which is a slight improvement. Breakfast is ok; eggs can be cooked to order however there is only brewed coffee from an urn available.

I much prefer to do my private business in peace. Location of the hotel is away from the busy street which we enjoyed. Breakfast buffet was decent with a selection of western & local fare but presentation wise did not look great.

The room has floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides facing 24/7 construction sites. While soundproof glass blocks most noise, low-frequency vibrations persist. Remarkably, the adjacent bathroom (only one wall away) stays quiet – suggesting this room needs extra acoustic insulation.

El chico de recepción no nos gustó nada, a parte de la falta de comunicación ya que no sabía a penas inglés se le suma el desinterés de denotaba, por lo tanto la comunicación y la atención fue bastante regular. No nos explicó que nos iba a cobrar más en la reserva como depósito y que la devolución se haría automáticamente en unos días, nos fuimos del hotel con cierta intranquilidad por no saber que iba a pasar con ese depósito.

That was rude. Especially when I just asked how much I was charged for the deposit because it wasn’t showing up on my bank statement. - 776demetriab (6/5): Find someplace else. I’m sure there are better places in Shanghai. - I was really excited about staying at this hotel, but the stay was an overall disappointment. The room is nice, but it overlooked a construction site and construction starts at 6:00 am in the morning. When I asked to be placed in another room I was told there were none available, even though there were clearly rooms showing as available online. Breakfast was subpar, which falls in line with the subpar so-called Michelin Starred restaurants they have in the hotel. I was pretty certain I booked a room with breakfast, but apparently I booked a reservation without breakfast. After some back and forth with the hostess, I was told that I could eat at the pitiful buffet, but before I could even put a fork of food in my mouth, the hostess came to the table to have me sign a bill for a room charge! There was no table service whatsoever as the waitstaff was virtually nonexistent, and it’s more of a get up and get water yourself type of situation. Overall, between the construction, horrible view and pitiful excuse for a breakfast that is not included, I cannot and would not recommend this hotel. In fact, I am pretty sure a hotel stay anywhere else in Shanghai would be a better experience than what I experienced here. So do yourself a favor, stay someplace else.

We stayed for two nights and were disappointed. The hotel barely qualifies as a three-star — the room was very small, with tiny windows and a view of a construction site. Furniture was old and worn, and there was a strong musty smell, likely from the nearby pool. The worst part was the check-in: we were charged 30% more than the booking price, without any explanation. Only after asking, we were told it was a deposit — but no one informed us in advance. After check-out, we were refunded the deposit but asked to pay again for the stay, so now we’re waiting for our bank to process the refund. It was frustrating and unexpected, especially since our expenses were carefully planned in advance.

- Wai83 (8/5): Lovely hotel - this is a lovely hotel, location is very close to a mall which has great Cantonese cuisine. It is about 10 mins to start of the Bund and is about 40 mins walk to Nanjing Pedestrian street where all the shopping is. We stayed in a deluxe room and they were huge, with big bathrooms as well. The reason i did not give 5 stars are just small details, only one side of the bed has a USB port, hair dryer is very basic for a 5 star, we also was looking forward to using the pool but it was under renovation. When we checked in I would have expected them to tell us that where breakfast is and the time but we thought maybe it was detailed in our rooms but it was not. Instead we had to ask. This is my second time in Shanghai and I do prefer the location of the Radisson Blu New World. Room has a box for tooth brush and toothpaste, comb, vanity kit, shower gel and shampoo bottles. Slippers, robes and an ironing board. Overall great hotel, would suit people who prefer to be a bit further away from the hustle and bustle.

It is a walking distance to Shanghai Bund around 10-15 minutes walk and close to some shopping malls. The staff service was ok. They are quite helpful with our request but lack of proficiency in English. The interior of the room is quite old. I found the bed was not comfortable (too soft) and the air conditioner is somewhat warm (need to open the window to make the room cool) but the room is clean though. In my daughters room there was no bathroom curtain to block view from the bed room so you can forget about privacy when taking shower (perhaps this room is intended for honeymoon couple)

- Brenda (6/5): It was ok. - Helpful friendly staff. Good size room. Great bath. Comfortable room. Room smelled like old cigarette smoke. Could not get the wifi to work.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Lack of hospitality - The female receptionist was very rude, impolite,was talking to the other male receptionist in her language while we were trying to ask questions.From the beginning she wasn’t quite wanted to help us in any way. The room windows were open a lot of dust was in the room and it was too late to ask for any one to clean the dust on the floor so we thought the next day it will be cleaned but the room hasn’t been mopped off dust until we left which resulted in severe asthma attack since I am allergic to dust . I was using inhalers all the time in the room and was unable to sleep or enjoy my stay in Shanghai due to asthma . Since the receptionist was rude I didn’t want to ask her for any other help such as room cleaning so I asked the concierge Travis , he promised to attend to it but the room wasn’t cleaned off dust . I couldn’t sleep and has been suffering from asthma all throughout my stay . The concierge do nothing about organizing tours , they recommend an illegal marketplace which we were sent by a shuttle car trying to sell us products underground. The hotel is located in a very convenient place but I don’t think I will ever come back or send any friends because of the lack of hospitality.

- Sutini (7/5): Pleasant stay with a great location, but room for improvement. - The hotel’s prime location was highly convenient, but the standout feature was the thoughtfully designed bathroom amenities. The heated toilet seat, along with adjustable front and rear wash functions and an integrated heater, added a level of sophistication and comfort that elevated the overall experience While the hotel appears to have undergone renovations, the wooden furniture retains a rustic and classic aesthetic, leaving it unclear whether this was intentional or if the pieces are remnants from the past. Additionally, being a classic building, the room’s ceiling height is relatively low, and the mattress could be upgraded to meet the comfort standards expected of a quality hotel.

- Athanasios (10/5): As usual good - staff is super friendly especially their concierge extremely helpfull, as usual China Wifi in Hotels is restricted making working almost impossible only point is the bathroom had a strange smell maybe from the sink drain quite unpleasant. This was my 5th or 6th stay the location only 15 mins from office and two metro station next door nice
- 9xavierh (4/5): Not a business hotel for foreigner - Old hotel. Small room. High cost. Not speaking English. Not possible to have a coffee only in the morning. Would not recommend it for foreigner as difficult to get right services. Ned's to be modernisé and refreshed for this cost. A pity as the location is not bad.

- Akriti075 (8/5): Very good - Great Location, close to the Bund (not on the Bund). Rooms are comfortable and spacious. Good breakfast. Why is there no (opaque) door on the toilet!? or a curtain on the bathroom window? There are places you need privacy even from your partner :D

- cyongyong (8/5): Worth the stay - Stayed here for 3 nights . I got assigned the corner room with a huge bath tub. Overall room has the old Shanghai feel to it but is clean. The house keeping giving us 4 bottles of mineral water everyday . Keep up the good work house keeping team. For the price is worth the hotel room

- Lara (6/5): Noisy environment, unhappy staff - It was overall clean. Concierge was willing to ask everything. (Practicing English I guess.) As of April 2024, there is a construction going on right in front of the hotel. It seemed nonstop 24/7 so was very noisy. Staff was never smiling. Don’t know why, but everybody was really unhappy.
