• Dave (6/5): - The hotel is fine, it is located next to the grand canal so there is lots of activity and noise. The bed was very uncomfortable too firm for me causing some pain. I never gave the hotel an opportunity to address that.
• Jeffrey Chin Loong (10/5): - This is by far the best hotel in our trip to Italy. The hotel has amazing views of the canal, it's situated in an area that's quieter with a few nice restaurants. It's very convenient, and if you arrived from the train station, its about 9 minutes walk and no bridges to cross, so no problems with luggage. If you book the rooms with views, you can enjoy the balcony with views of the canals, it was great. The amenities were great, nice shower facilities, the continental breakfast was amazing too. Very quaint as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
• Patrice (6/5): - Staff was nice. Rooms were small and very little storage for a 4 night stay. Beds were hard and pillows were like boards. Breakfast was typical European…meats and cheese and croissants it was fine. We asked for more pillows and never received them. Our friend had a broken hairdryer and she was not offered another one until the last night. Location was GREAT!!! Lots of shopping and dining and water Vapporetta was wonderful and very close by. It is a 15 min. walk to the train station. Location was great! We would not stay here again.

The day before arrival we asked via chat if we could check-in late and got the message they'd keep the reception open 'till midnight. The staff was incredibly helpful and the room itself was great and spacious. It's not a 5star hotel, but services and comfort are on level. 10/10 would stay again.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Nice location - Good location as it right by some restaurants with a sunset view, however a bit noisy. The room was super spacious but hardly any sunlight due to being on the ground floor. The aircondition was a savior. Room was generally clean.
• Silvia (8/5): - This hotel is small and clean. We found it a little confusing to get from the airport to the hotel, but we eventually took the Alilaguna boat (orange line) and asked to be dropped off at the Guglie stop, which is right in front of the hotel. Our room was spacious and tidy, with a lovely balcony that overlooked the canal. The air conditioning worked well (we went in the hot month of June). A good restaurant was located just outside the property, offering good food at reasonable prices. However, on Fridays, the restaurant had a DJ who played loud music until 2 a.m. The restaurant was on the side below our balcony, and the noise didn't really bother us because we used earplugs, but I thought it was worth mentioning. The gentleman who checked us in didn’t provide much information, so we had to ask several questions about WiFi, cleaning services, etc. The lady at the reception the next day was very helpful and polite, which was a nice change. Breakfast was included, but didn't start until 8:00 a.m. Unfortunately, we couldn’t enjoy it since we were already out exploring at 7:00 a.m. to avoid the crowds and take nice pictures. Overall, our stay was enjoyable, and we would definitely stay here again.
• Vera (10/5): - We stayed in Palazzo Cendon at the end of June 2025 (2 adults and 13 year old). It was all we needed and expected. We wanted to stay in Venice, authentic place, but in less busy area, overlooking smaller canal. We stayed in Junior suite with balcony, facing a canal. It is an older building, decorated in old time charm. The balcony was perfect. In the morning it was getting morning sun and in the afternoon it was in the shade, so we could sit outside and rest without sweating and watch every day life. The room has AC, not running as cool as we would like, but sufficient enough for comfortable night sleep and day rest from the heat of the day. Room and bathroom were clean. The hotel has an elevator, if your luggage is too heavy to carry up the stairs. We purchased breakfast at the hotel one morning (10 euro/each, running from 8am-10am), it was good. Several restaurants/coffees/crape shop near the hotel. Unfortunately, there is a construction going on on both sides of canal (raising sidewalks). That meant restaurant next door had tables right below our balcony and you could hear guests talking till 1-2am. We slept with ear plugs, so it was fine. But there is a noise of everyday life if you are on canal side. Everything is close at Venice.The hotel has Crea,Guglie and The Archie waterbus stop near by (3-6min walk).St Mark's Square 30min easy walk.Guglie stop has also a separate waterbus to the airport, not from the airport, Alilaguna company, 18 euro each, about 40min).

I really enjoyed exploring Cannaregio, the neighborhood where the hotel is located. And it’s a less than 10 minute walk from the train station! I highly recommend :)

• Timothy (8/5): Hotel right next to the Venice canals - This hotel was a great location for us. It was very close to the train station in Venice and we had a lot of bags so that was very helpful. The people were very nice and helpful. The hotel was right next to a cafe that we used quite a bit. The only downside was the beds weren't as comfortable as we would have liked but they were ok.

• Tien Dung (8/5): - Comfortable, convenient, walkable and good for value. Vaporetto water bus is just outside the hotel which face the large canal connecting to the Grand Canal. Great connection for Murano and Burano islands. About 5 minutes walk from the train station (same side).
• George (6/5): - Great breakfast, attentive service at the breakfast, and helpful receptionist at check-in. The hotel rooms are a little outdated. If your room faces the canal or the alley, it can get very noisy, particularly in the night from the crowd and the motorboats. Also, the shower stall does not have any place (such as a holder or a shelf) for things like soaps, shampoos or your razor, which is really inconvenient.
• KELLY (10/5): - Staff was friendly and helpful. Property is hard to find, but within short walking distance of the S. Lucia train station. Lots of dining and shopping options are a short walk away. Room was spacious by Italian standards and has a refrigerator. There was some noise (and cigarette smoke if window is open) from a restaurant across a narrow street from the hotel, but not too bad.
• Jacqui (8/5): - Lovely wee hotel with decent staff and the most amazing outlook. My husband and I stayed in a suite so had access to a small balcony overlooking the canal affording us a lovely view. Our room was comfortable with old traditional furniture which added to its charm. Kids were in a standard triple room and it did unfortunately smell of sewerage. We reported this but nothing seemed to be done. That was a bit of a negative but fortunately we were hardly in the rooms. Hotel was located in a good area with loads of restaurants and bars close by and around a 30 minute stroll to all the big tourist attractions. Great wee pub next door too. Also really convenient for the water bus with 3 stops within a 5 minute walk. Breakfast was enjoyable but be warned they start to close down before the advertised serving times. On our last day the kids rocked up with just over 5 minutes to spare and weren’t offered any meat or cheese for their rolls so had to make do with dry bread, although were able to grab some fruit and cakes from the buffet area so they didn’t go hungry. Overall a pretty good stay with a couple of things that could have been better, but these didn’t spoil our trip and we’d definitely use this hotel again.

• William H (10/5): Honeymoon - The hotel was a quick and easy walk from the train station in a less touristy canal that still offers its own unique experience. If you are staying im a room facing the canal there is a bar that does have a lot of activity until nearly 1am. Other than that its beautiful.

We could easily walk to all attractions and there were good restaurants nearby. The wifi did not work very well but it didn’t impact our trip that much. The breakfast was great.
• Danny (6/5): - Nice hotel. Booked for 3 nights. We had a standard room which was on ground level right beside the reception. Had a double bed and a single bed in the separate dining/lounge room. The toilet/shower is tiny. Barely any room to turn around especially for a larger person, but space is a premium in Venice so can't complain. The rooms were clean and the aircon and mini fridge worked which was good as it was hot during our stay. The only disappointment was the breakfast. I didn't expect a full buffet with bacon, eggs etc but didn't expect meager rashions either. Every morning the lady would ask if you wanted ham and cheese and were given 2 slices of cheese and 3 slices of ham each and 2 slices of a French roll. There was also a couple of croissants on each table. The biscuits, cakes and 3 or 4 pieces of slice bread on the table to choose from were there the whole 3 days we were there. We noticed the bread dry up and curl and the bread we were being given was a bit dry. There were no tomatoes, cucumbers etc so we brang our own. There were a few pieces of fruit, yoghurt in tubs and 2 or 3 cereals. The coffee machine was excellent and the highlight of breakfast and I'm not even a coffee drinker. That sums up how disappointing breakfast is here. On a positive note. Reception closes at midnight. We were going to arrive after midnight as our train broke down so we notified reception. The young man waited for us till 12.30am so we wouldn't have to do the after hours key find.
• Oliver (8/5): - Friendly nice hotel at good location (5minutes from main train, bus and waters station). Really helpful staff the room was very clean and well equipped. Lovely waterfront cafe and restaurant just on the corner. One bad point only we’re got a room with a miniature window. Overall this hotel was a great choice for 2 nights on affordable prices.
• lauriano (8/5): - Even though it was near the bus station and the train station, it was quite a walk to the hotel. 90° out so the walk was even more difficult. The hotel stay was fine. Room is very clean nicely appointed. Mattress little soft but manageable. Staff was very courteous and helpful. You must have Google maps to get from the train station or the bus station to the hotel. Road signs are almost nonexistent. Battery ran out on my cell phone and did get lost a couple of times. Suggest you have fully charged phone or extra battery.
• Galileo (8/5): - It’s only an 8-minute walk from the train station and there also a close water transportation stop nearby. It’s close to a lot of restaurants as well. However, there’s a little problem with the internet in my room and the television wasnt working as well. I informed the front desk but it wasn’t fixed. I think the problem is probably its proximity to the router. The tv always indicates that there’s “no signal”.

• Grant (10/5): - Great stay. Located in such a great spot in Venice. Walkable to all the major sites. A number of great restaurants and bars near by. The space had a lot of beauty & character. I recommend booking the suite with a private terrace overlooking a canal.
• Angelique (6/5): Chaotic - So many problems with this property. First we were getting scam messages pretending to be from the property, asking us to confirm our credit card details. I spoke to the property about it and they knew about it. I wonder how many people got scammed with this. Then we get to the property, junior suite, with some wine and cheese to enjoy our balcony, but the fridge was broken, which they didnt bother to tell us. We asked for some ice, but they had run out. Breakfast was chaotic and understaffed. They employ just one woman to do all the breakfast, all the clearing and topping up, all the cleaning, AND cleaning the rooms! Hence, water, juice etc was often empty and not being refilled properly, and the tables were not being cleared. They just need to pay a little bit more attention to detail.

Unfortunately it was a very hot evening and the air conditioning could not quite handle the heat in the room since it could only be turned on when we were in the room. It could not catch up since we started it when we got in around 9-9:30. The beds were a little uncomfortable and we did not sleep great due to that and the heat. On a cooler night I think we would have had no issues whatsoever. It was a very affordable option for us and again, a charming place in a charming city.

• Natasha (8/5): - Great location, great breakfast, nice and spacious room and bathroom. About a 10 minute walk to the train station and 15 minute walk to the bus station. Tip: If you don’t want to spend too much money on the water taxi, there is an express bus that takes off from the bus station that takes you to both airports for 10 euros per person. The only negative was the stiff mattress, it felt like the box spring rather than the mattress but other than that it was a very pleasant stay.
• Darlene (8/5): Great location. - The location of the hotel was perfect, only an 5-10 minute walk from the train station, and the staff was beyond accommodating and friendly. However, although the hotel Is clean, it is very tired and needs a facelift. The beds felt like prison issue, I don’t think we’ve ever slept on anything so hard and thin. The shower was small but it had amazing water pressure with hot water. I think it’s fine for one night but anything longer would be very uncomfortable.

Usual continental style breakfast with fresh rolls and croissants, meats, cheeses, fresh fruit and yoghurts. Very friendly staff throughout. Will definitely return on our next trip to Venice.

• Courtney (10/5): - Interesting hotel. Furniture made it feel like an old Victorian home. Our room also had a separate entrance from the street which was unique. The it conditioner didn’t keep the room as cold as I would have preferred, but it was adequate. And more pillows would be ideal. The room was a little dusty and could have been a bit cleaner, but overall it was comfortable. We loved the location - a short and easy walk from the train stations, which you will want especially if you have luggage. The areas is off the beaten path enough that it is quieter and less crowded, but still a short walk to the tourist attractions you would want to see. It is also located near some great restaurants. It was perfect for my husband and I to stay 2 nights. We would stay here again.
• Sergiy (4/5): - Whereas the property is quite ok and the towels some of the best ever, noise from neighboring rooms was awful to the extent that I barely slept. Won’t go again.

• Michael (10/5): Wonderful, typical Venetian night - Our stay was wonderful, albeit short. The room was cute and the decor was antique. I told my daughter that I felt as though I was visiting my rich grandmother (I don’t have one of those!). Although large by Venetian standards, all rooms are small and the tub is more designed for baths, not showers. The balcony gave a beautiful view of the canal and if you left the balcony doors open, a truly magical breeze fills the room. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The location is just a short walk from the train station so pulling luggage wasn’t a problem.
• James (10/5): - This was a very nice hotel, 8 minute walk from the train station. The hotel was in an area that was not so crowded, and there were three or four quaint places to eat that were not surrounded by thousands of people walking around you. My son and I went about 50 meters away and watched the sunset from the island’s point, it was gorgeous. The price was several hundred less than other hotels, worth it. The beds are very firm.

• Tracy (10/5): Charming hotel - We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. The location, in the Canareggio area, is wonderful--it's one of the few parts of Venice that feels like an area where real people live, and because the Canareggio canal and other smaller ones in the area have wide sidewalks on either side, it's also a great area to dine canal-side. The breakfast was out of this world--definitely recommend--and we really appreciated our three person room with unique furniture and a clean modern bathroom.
• Nazanin (4/5): - Had aweful experience with mosquitos 😔 could not sleep over night and in the morning one could think we had chicken pox! 18 hrs passed and still looking aweful 😭
• Javier (8/5): - The hotel is in a good location walkable to many restaurants/shops and with the canal right in front. The room and bathroom were small but that was expected. This is an old hotel in an old city so don’t expect modern. It was clean but the towels need to be changed as they seem to be worn out. They did not accept AMEX to pay for the taxes or even the mini bar items however overall it was a great stay with helpful and friendly staff.
• olivia (10/5): - Was old world charm so dont expect moden how ever it was plesent and we had a room with a balcony to the 2nd biggest canal with views of the sunset and the ferries mins walk. Hotel staff where very helpful and knowledgeable.
• FRANCINE (8/5): - The reception was very friendly. The room was clean and the view from the balcony was nice. We asked for a couple of extra bath towels and they would not give them. Needs to be updated. Towels were a little threadbare, shower head sprayed in every direction and needed to be replaced, bathtub was chipped in many places, bidet had no water pressure and air conditioning did not work. Wouldn’t stay here again.

• hiep (10/5): - The reception persons were very nice and helpful. The location is very safe and convenient. The breakfast service was very good.
• Lorraine (8/5): - Rooms and bathrooms were clean. The staff were really nice. Very close to the train station. The only thing to be aware of is that if you have a room facing the canal, then a lot of the noise will travel up to your room. I’d recommend ear plugs if you’re sensitive to noise.
• Bridgit (8/5): - This was a beautiful old hotel, in a fantastic location for exploring Venice. We stayed in a junior suite overlooking the canal. Spent every morning sipping a coffee on the balcony watching the boats go by (the water buses are quite noisy if you’re a light sleeper!) Breakfast was basic, but that wasn’t too much of an issue as we invariably grabbed a coffee and aperol spritz mid morning! There was no kettle in our room, and after explaining to the receptionist a kettle and cups were delivered to our room (at an additional cost mind you!) Overall I’d definitely book again.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Venetian atmosphere hotel to stay - We travel as a couple 9 days in Italy by train, so it was very important to us easy reach to the hotel from the train station. Also since we in Venice to have hotel with old time atmosphere. Palazzo Cendon was the perfect choice. 10 minutes walk from the train station(with big luggage). The suite with the balcony was nonsense! Exactly with our expectations. The staff was friendly, helped as with iron, to book table at restaurant and other recommendations. The only thing that we missed in the room is coffee machine that was with cost and the TV was so small and old. (We didn’t watch but it looks pathetic). Not so important. Recommended!
• Gwendolyn (10/5): - Room was not in the main hotel but in the adjacent alley. It was noisy because of that and some construction in the inner courtyard. Size of room was good. The room really had no view. There are tons of mosquitoes and other bubblers who feasted on us. Breakfast was excellent and the service was impeccable. The breakfast attendant was very pleasant and had wonderful English. The hotel is conveniently located near a canal.
• Heather (6/5): - The building is old and interesting, and very clean. The linens were clean, but clearly old and dated. The balcony was nice, but the furniture is rusty. The pillows were nearly flat and the mattress hard, old and lumpy. Also, while there were a few well-priced nibbles in the mini-fridge, there was also a brochure for services, including room service for coffee, etc. When we attempted to order that, however, we were told, sorry, we have one person and it's too complicated, which was disappointing to have a balcony yet not be able to have coffee on it.
• Nadine (6/5): - It was a good place to stay. Clean, friendly staff and very convenient. The property is old though and can ue some upkeep.

• Pushpinder (10/5): Great hotel! - Great hotel. Bit of a walk (45min) to st. Marks square but still very lively so the location was prime. Had to check in ourselves with a code, and key was left for us in an envelope - super easy check in. Very close to water taxi stop that takes you to airport and back. A/C was working great. Shower was working great. There is a lively bar right next door and various delicious restaurants close by. Was a wonderful experiencs!
