- AJ P (2/5): - For a renowned Hotel brand, I was shocked and appauled at the level of service at this particular venue. Baggage did not get sent to my room for over 2 hours, despite numerous calls to the reception desk. In addition, housekeeping did not complete their service, again despite, leaving the service room sign on for over 4 hours and no action taken. Having then called the reception a further 3 times, I had to locate housekeeping myself to ask for this to take place. Will not be utilising this brand at this location again.

- Marie (6/5): - Bathroom had a foul odor of sewage ask to change room or fix issue they claimed it was fixed but the smell never went away, I call to ask about restaurant they said their were 12 restaurants and all were booked I could not make a reservation I was told only the lobby could be walk in and dine, but later found out that was not true, found an Italian restaurant there with not one guest and I didn’t need reservations not sure what that was about Also there’s not 12 restaurants, was a bit disappointed. But the location was awesome close to most of what we needed. The guys in the front who gets you taxi were awesome very friendly and helpful!

- Sohail (8/5): They have the best bellboy from Nepal - Lots of options, bars, restaurants under one roof, the SPA is great, the barber shop is friendly, sports bar is not too noisy, location is convenient, and the breakfast is elaborate. Rooms are not appropriately described for everyone to understand the offerings. Surprisingly they changed my room to my requested choice of smoking room even when they didnt have any at checkin, so quickly, before I laid my hat in the smoking room.

- Yasmin (6/5): - I had issue with my key, despite me tioning it the first time, it was not fixed until i was locked out and had to wait outside for security to come and fix it and it took more than half an hour and i had to go down to reception multiple time just for them to send someone. Initially i was dismissed and told "its working" until i found someone who actually helped me. I would recommend it but the being locked out of my room after a being in extremely hot weather and not getting to relax was off putting. Aside from that my stay was pleasant.

I started measuring my wait times after the first day and spent almost 35 mins waiting for elevators on day 2. They need more to deal with the flow of people!

- JENANNE (4/5): - This is a nice property but I had several issues during my stay. First night we didn’t have any hot water so I had to take a cold shower, no one followed up until I called the second time the next day. The coffee maker malfunctioned and the coffee pods were basically exploding each time I tried to use it. After cleaning the room they did not replace the clean mugs and I would have to wait a long time when requesting items. On the second day the hot water didn’t work again and it took a very long time for any one to come fix if. I had to call twice and waited which threw me off schedule and delayed me significantly. The hotel is nice and clean but too many issues for me to ever stay here again.

An Outrage as a hotel resident The rooms took ages to be cleaned - lifts were not working all the time . It was a disappointing stay and for the money we paid it was fundamentally wrong .

- Peter (2/5): - Terrible Hotel! Outlined is the issues I faced: - Checked in on Friday 11th March. It was my birthday and my fiancée and I arrived at 1pm. Our room wasn’t quite ready so we agreed to leave our bags and come back for the keys later. Passports were scanned and local taxes paid at this point - Arrived back at the hotel at 4pm and asked for our room key. Another member of staff tried to check us in again and charge us for local taxes - we provided the receipt, handed over our baggage card and explained we just needed our room key. Not a great start. - We were given our room key, and told our bags would be carried up. 45 minutes later, no bags so I called reception who said they were on their way. I went down to reception and all staff acted as if no bags existed, and couldn’t recall one hour previously us handing over our baggage slip. We were then asked to rummage through the racks at the door and in the bag for our cases - they weren’t there. - 2 hours later, still no bags, my fiancée is at this point crying in reception thinking our bags are lost which had our newly bought wedding rings in them! - At 6.30pm our bags turned up after the Manager had located them in “long storage”. To compensate we were asked if we wanted a free meal.. the last thing we wanted was to spend anymore time in the hotel! No compensation for the fact we had no clothing to change to use any of the facilities! We’ve contacted the hotel directly to request a refund for the first night

- Syrah (2/5): - By far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Budget chains would put this so called 5 star hotel to shame. For starters how do you leave guests without any towels in the room? The bed sheets were never changed during our stay (6 nights). If you weren’t woken up by the sound of the construction work, you could sleep to the blaring music coming from the hotel’s restaurant/ club. They also tried to get me to pay the tourist tax twice! They clearly can’t even update their system to note who has paid and who has not. Let’s also talk about how the key card for my room stopped working and they asked me why? They also didn’t know what decaf coffee was in the breakfast area.

Usually stay up on the gold floors and utilize the room but this trip due to covid was not open. Only challenge was the breakfast, not equipped for hotel when its busy for events. But LOVE THE PEOPLE, management,the whole staff is top notch!

- Verified traveler (10/5): Nicely updated and friendly staff - Busy property on Shk Zayed Road. Great location. Slightly understaffed at reception leading to queues at check in/out. Otherwise friendly and courteous. Rooms recently refurbished so for a property from the early 2000s, it feels fresh and modern inside! Lots of clubs/bars etc onsite but best to book those well in advance of your stay as they dont have special spaces for hotel guests.

The restaurants are not so good as all of them permits smoke inside, really disgusting. Not much available hands sanitizer inside the hotel. The breakfast are ok but they are not taking too much actions to avoid and protect against Covid. No hand sinitizer are available inside and you need to share cutlery with others guests to serve yourself on buffet.

My wife and 2 year old arrived in the early hours of the morning well before check-in. Having given prior notice, Fairmont did an amazing job by preparing my room early so that we could rest properly after a long flight. The room was lovely and clean. Very spacious considering this was a one bed room. Beautiful view from the room and the blackout curtains allowed us to have a peaceful sleep at night. I would most definitely recommend this hotel and will stay at this place again, and hopefully soon!

There is a small marjet around the cirner and plenty of restaurants and fast foid places in walking distance. The location is perfect with the monorail less than 3 minutes away and the museum of the future also in walking distance. Will visit and stay again.

- Verified traveler (4/5): - The staff is very friendly although a receptionist lied to me about how noisy my room would be and 2 days into my trip I got covid and had to isolate for 10days although I didn’t leave hotel premises. The manager was professional and helpful in making me change rooms. Most gym equipment is not working, internet is not very fast my North American standards. Some hotel guests make lots of noise but this can be outside of hotel control. The rooms are nice and the food is good and the hotel is centrally located.
