- Tianshu (10/5): A Rare Classic Beauty - It’s a classic, full of that old Shanghai style. It’s a little oasis in the otherwise crowded and bustling glass and steels of modern Shanghai. It’s beautiful in a quiet way from a quieter era. The location could not have been better. Right in the center of the best areas but hidden just a few steps into a deeply treelined street. Rooms are big, bigger than expected in Shanghai where real estate is at a premium. You get history, comfort and convenience all in one place. We’d stay here again in a heart beat We got our morning coffee across the street at Peet’s. If there was an option to get a cup of coffee without the breakfast buffet, it would be a dream. The courtyard in the front is a perfect spot to sit and sip a cup of coffee while watching people going about their lives in the morning rush

Located in the French Concession area of Shanghai, the hotel is surrounded by restaurants, shops, malls, and stylish cafés, making it an ideal base to explore the neighbourhood. The breakfast buffet spread could be more well organised. Make it make sense.

La chambre (notamment le lit) était très confortable et bien au calme pour ceux qui auraient besoin de se reposer c'est idéal. La salle de bains était très spacieuse et très chic avec ce marbre sur le sol et les murs ! Dans un style "bourgeois" mais vraiment qualitatif. Peut-être relativement cher si on compare aux autres séjours que nous avons pu faire en Chine mais ça correspond plutôt bien au standing de l'hôtel et à la ville. A noter pour ceux à qui ça peut déplaire que la rue est assez guindée.

Very easy to walk to tourist attractions/ hub areas. Super comfortable rooms and great amenities. Nothing! But as it’s an old building you can hear corridor noise from your room so maybe take this into consideration if you are a light sleeper. My WiFi also didn’t work.
