Nice and clean although a little tired in decor. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Good position for travel. The area was a little threatening for us at first but we soon became accustomed.

• Erik (8/5): Nice stay in a multi cultural neighbourhood - I love the neighbourhood with African restaurants, good and cheap barbers, an area where you can buy exotic food and you won’t see many tourists. The hotel is good, and it offers a fantastic breakfast. Nothing to complain.

Het ontbijt geweldig en heel verzorgd. Als vrouw alleen is het raadzaam voor het donker in het hotel te zijn. Bed te hard en op tv alleen Franse zenders

It is located close to Metro for ease of travel around the city, and it was surprisingly quiet. I did ask for a bath which would have made my 5 night stay so much better for my feet and legs after all that walking. The area walking from Gare du Nord is a little intimidating, but there were no problems at all.

• Michel (7/5): Het hotel is recent vernieuwd, het buffet ontbijt aan 15 EUR is OK en de metro op 150 meter ! - Alles is nieuw en werkt. De locatie is ten noorden van Paris Nord in een rare buurt. Het hotel vroeg 10 EUR om bij uitchecken de valies enkele uren te laten staan!

• DRP18 (8/5): good value Paris bolt hole - the hotel is in the same district as the train station , about a 10 minute walk . the hotel is absolutely fine for a Paris stay , with the centre a bus ride away which costs 2 euros each way . the breakfast was good. rooms were small but not surprising for the price. the hotel is good value . we requested a top floor room which was quiet. the area around the hotel has a lot of immigrants / homeless people which some may find intimidating. We didnt see any problems or issues with them and locals just went about their daily routine as if they werent there.

It's a fair walk from Gare du Nord, with heavy bags, but is situated on a side street, so largely unbothered by noise. Check in was simple and efficient, and the room was adequate for a one night stay. Nothing to mention
• BambiE96 (6/5): Great hotel in a not so great location - Great value hotel with clean and modern rooms. We didn’t hear too much noise outside at night and the hotel staff were very helpful. It was a 10 euro cost to leave our bags on our departure day. Not too long a walk to Sacre Coeur and Montmatre but a lot further to other main areas. We didn’t use the metro but we used many of the taxi companies which were good. I would advise against walking anywhere in this area, especially at night and on your own, as it felt extremely unsafe. If you're booking through Eurostar be sure to check the trip advisor reviews not just the reviews on the Eurostar website, I didn’t and if I had I probably wouldn’t have chosen this hotel from the numerous negative reviews commenting on the location.

• mrnostalgia (6/5): I felt safe (inside) the hotel as apposed to leaving the hotel - The Hotel & staff were absolutely fabulous ,excellent. 10/10 Unfortunately - I’m sad to say it was a different senario when venturing outside the hotel in this neighbourhood,hotel is near Marx dormoy & la chapelle which have probably been described as sketchy & edgy . I always felt scared & on edge leaving the hotel.

• Franck (8/5): - Chambre très confortable et très propre, décorée avec goût. On s'y sent bien. L'établissement est proche de la Gare du nord et situé dans un quartier cosmopolite. J'ai été stupéfait par les commentaires de certains clients sur le quartier, commentaires fleurant mauvais le racisme. C'est juste un quartier populaire et cosmopolite. J'ai eu un peu peur de la mauvaise isolation phonique (portes des chambres bruyantes quand on les ferme, bruit de l'ascenseur, circulation dans la rue. Toutefois, les autres clients ont été discrets et la circulation a cessé assez tôt dans la soirée. Je n'ai donc pas souffert du bruit. Une seule remarque négative : la chaise de la chambre à changer (siège enfoncé et déchiré).

I also asked them to write me a card and cupcake as it was my birthday as they’d done so for others in the pictures but I didn’t get anything.

It was the general area. We booked for convenience to the Adidas Arena. Would not stay here for general tourism.
