Guest Reviews
- zEnd89 (6/5): Great location, outdated hotel - Great location if you want to go to visit the Pyramids, but not much else to positive about it. The breakfast was very limited and not really fresh. The hotel itself is very outdated and my girlfriend didn't really feel safe around all the men working there and staring constantly so we didn't feel like trying the pool. The reson for the 3*'s is the good location and the great taxi service they had.
- 909reberk (10/5): Surprisingly Great Stay – Clean & Friendly - I was initially hesitant because of some older bad reviews, but I’m glad I gave this place a chance. The hotel was very clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. It seems like the management has really improved things. I had a comfortable and pleasant experience, and I’d definitely recommend it to others now.
- 787merah (2/5): Don't waste your money !! - Avoid hotel at all costs! Communication is horrendous.
Dirty bed, broke air con, never solved any of our problems I could write pages about what about to us during our stay but unfortunately it doesn't give me that option. I stayed in this hotel a number of times thinking it was one off incidents but when I returned with my children never again. Complete joke. There discrimination is Completely off. Don't waste your money!
Waiter staff lovely literally only nice thing in this hotel.
When my driver come to pick us up to take us to the airport he was told by front dest no one in that name is staying at this hotel. If I didn't have Internet my driver would have left and we would have missed our flight.
Hotel is a complete joke I'm sorry to say.
- zhrfatima (8/5): Hotel near Pyramid Giza - Its basically an old classic hotel. I was on group vacation, choosing this hotel bcz its near to Pyramid (take around 15 min with bus). Room was clean, air conditioning is functioning well, hot water is also available.
Breakfast is so so, as an Indonesian, i think it needs more salt and msg 🧂🤣
.
Oh one more..
Something i didnt expect that they actually allow smoking cigarettes in the lobby 🫣
- Mark (8/5): - The hotel staff take wonderful pride in the property and service. And the hotel is very attractive. Breakfast is excellent. However, it is difficult to evaluate the hotel because the government is building the meteo on Alharam- making it more challenging to walk to the pyramids, or any nearby business.
- Vanessa (10/5): - I have no complaints except a very tiny insignificant one that the TV remote didn't work, which made it hard to watch TV because i couldn't change the channel. But that didn't matter to me. I'm only mentioning it because I found it a little funny. The room was more beautiful than advertised. It was nice and quiet and spacious and very comfortable. I loved the balcony. I enjoyed the view from there. The staff was very friendly, which was wonderful. I definitely recommend staying here.
- Mohammad (4/5): - Not clean, old furniture and very slow response in services
- Hakouna (4/5): - Hot water didn’t work and the hotel is not in a good condition or area
- Smpopple (2/5): Website Lie - My main reason for selecting the Grand Pyramids Hotel was its apparent proximity to the Giza pyramids. The hotel’s website claims “just few steps from the great pyramids area”, but when I asked the duty manager approximately how far from the pyramids, he advised “much too far to walk”. I took a Careem taxi (Arab area equivalent to Uber), and the drive took slightly more than 50 minutes; and when we got close a security guard prevented our driving to the entrance as “Careem cars not permitted”. So I did end up walking - the final half-mile or so to the pyramids compound entrance. My experience makes me wonder what other website claims are untrue - certainly none of the restaurants advertised seemed to be open during my stay, except for the breakfast room. Sadly the hotel was far from living up to its description as “Grand”, with many public areas shabby and quite dirty. But my bedroom was large, comfortable and clean, with a view of the back of a nearby block of flats and the busy elevated highway running past. At least the hotel’s duty manager had been truthful, and on a positive note every single staff member I met was unusually friendly and as helpful as any hotel staff I’ve ever met.
- Abdul (2/5): - I did pay for the hotel with cash money
- annedT2707LV (2/5): Horror Hotel - Avoid this hotel. Not in a good area at all. Rooms are old and dirty. Bed blankets, carpet, walls and upholstery stained.I can’t believe a tour operator would place British tourists here. Miles out of Cairo and Hotel tries to extort a high price for taxis. Download Uber app.Breakfast poor, most hot food, cold.
- travelingtgirl (6/5): Needs renovation - We transferred to the this hotel as an upgrade but the only difference was it was less noisy. Rooms smell, moldy bathroom, and stained carpets. The breakfast choices were not desirable. Close to restaurants but on a street with heavy traffic. We stayed for 2 nights only. It has a bank and ATM for money transfers which is very convenient. Staff was helpful and tried their best to meet our needs.
- JessicaFarry2 (4/5): Room was filthy - I’ll start off by pointing out that this hotel saved our bacon when the hotel we had booked decided that they didn’t have room for us when we arrived to check in. Our tour guide brought us here. Staff were really friendly and reception area was lovely, thought we were onto a winner but then I saw the room. It was filthy. Wifi barely worked, there was so much noise i couldn’t sleep. It was only for two nights so I put up with it as they had done us a favour by getting us sorted so late at night. Breakfast was ok, not great. Not sure how this is a four star hotel to be honest.
- 186361Steve (2/5): Worst ever stayed in - Hotels, third of three used over the 17 days.

NO WAY is this a 4-star hotel, 2-star at best. The place was dirty, the breakfast was dreadful, and no way were we eating dinner there. Thank god it was just a 2 night stay for the 3 of us in 1 room. Our Hvezda guide arranged with the reception to give us an alarm call at 03.00 to catch a plane. You guessed it, they did not do so. To get something to eat and to get a few cans of beer we had either ask the desk for delivery service or go over 2 VERY BUSY and dangerous roads to MacDonalds. Avoid it like the plague.
- Conquesttaxis (4/5): Run down but staff very nice - The rooms are spacious. Staff were really nice. Helpful and accommodating. The rooms could do with a deep clean and modernisation. The bathroom was old and very run down. The corridors were run down. Everywhere was dusty. House keeping don't start till 9. Buggered if you need an extra toilet roll! (Belive me! )
Good location for the pyramids but next to a very very busy road. Tooting all day and night. No where to go in the evening.
Most of the staff tried there best. Porters and security very welcoming.
Breakfast wasn't great and did deserve to be free. Again waiting staff were great.
Wouldn't return for the above reasons.
- Tourist777751 (2/5): RUN! Complete DUMP - Every picture that I saw if this place was a lie. The location was a ghetto looked like a war zone. Hotel was run down. The lobby was the only decent part of the hotel to deceive. The pool area over run by feral cats some trapped in cages. The rooms were infested by bugs, degusto h stains on carpets, rips on sofas, bathrooms dirty , found blood on sheets of bed. Complained to hotel manager & he refused to speak to me a FEMALE. Dismissing my concerns for safety ( door woundnt lock), cleanliness ( multiple dirty rooms, windows on the 4th floor were blown out, serious damage to walls , torn carpets. Do NOT believe any of the pictures that you see online of this place being grand because it’s a DUMP. Do NOT venture out in the neighborhood of this hotel because your security will be in danger . Location is dangerous . We requested to ge moved & every room was a dump . We checked out a few hours after checking in & hotel REFUSED to refund . Hotel manager wanted to give us a free meal no way I would eat in that place . Manager would NOT speak to females.
- RohanChristian (10/5): Excellentr property - were there just for a night but enjoyed the stay. the rooms are spacious. excellent service and view from the room. had a pool facing room. the break fast spread was excellent with something for everyone. lunch was also good the kids loved the same.
service was top notch.
- JAMAL (2/5): - تم ارسال الملاحظات
- yehia (2/5): - I just found out that they charged me $187 instead of the price quoted by Expedia, I didn't know
- Elim (6/5): - They need to clean the halls and update the entire property.
I think need re evaluate its category from 4 stars to 1 star, honestly.
- Dilka (8/5): - clean was not the best, dust everywhere, blankets were old and dirty when arrived, refrigerator are super old and dirty.
- Bassam Hassan (8/5): More attention needed for sheets & towels cleannes - The staff were good and service was great but furniture were old and bed sheets weren’t really clean
- Verified traveler (4/5): No spa, needs renovation - Lovely staff, the buildings are in desperate need of renovation and cleaning.
Spa closed some years ago
- Leslie (6/5): Not a 4 Star. - If this is a 4 star hotel, I'm Oprah Winfrey. Hotel is in major disrepair other than the lobby and dining area. Most of the staff were nice but some were rude and only cater to Arabic guests. Bed was uncomfortable. I would rate this hotel as 2.5 star which matches the low price I paid.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Disappointed - This hotel seems like it was good 20 years ago. Carpet and many of the furniture pieces are filthy. (I’ll include pics below). Rolling blackouts. Shower often didn’t work. We changed rooms however and it was fixed. In need of a massive overhaul. Way better options in Giza or Cairo. Would not advise a stay here.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I don't recommend this hotel to anyone under any reason.
- garyjl2013 (2/5): Definitely not 4 Star worthy... - We stayed at this hotel as part of a tour. The hotel website pictures are not consistent with what you experience. The hotel was dirty and run down. I have been to four star hotels that are not new, but they are at least clean and service is good... this was not. Breakfast on the first 2 days was served on styrofoam plates. Day 3 there were more guests and it was better and buffet style that day. But definitely not consistent. We returned here for one more day at the end of our trip and were assigned an even dirtier room with stains on the carpets that had not been vacuumed in a long time. This time the heat didn’t work and the staff offered no help other than charging us for tea.
- Susan (8/5): This is a fine place to stay. - I thought this place was pretty nice. Not too great on the Wifi but everything else seemed ok.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This is the worst hotel I stayed in it in my whole life. They have the most rude staff I ever met. I travel a lot locally and internationally and I stayed at many stars levels hotels and hostels from one star to seven stars and never faced such rude staff. Avoid this hotel and never book in it. You will be throwing your money. You know, throw your money from the window will be much better than staying even for one night in this hotel. Stuff are very rude specially at the reception and the management and the security. All of them they push you in a bad way to get extra money from you which is against the law and against all the norms. Also, they never read comments and special requests from Expedia Chats and they do the complete reverse of that so you pay them extra money. Also, they never reply back to your requests neither by email or phone or call or through Expedia. The hotel has none of the amenities mentioned and they were laughing in a rude way that this is something from the past beautiful history and that we are dreaming, and it is good that they give me a bed to sleep in. Stay in a tent in the street is better than staying with them. One star hotels are much better than that, I dunno how Expedia keeps them around. The only thing is the housekeeping team is not bad. But the hotel, they frightened me and I left the hotel after an hour and they refused to get me back any of my money.
- Rayan (10/5): Good experience - It was amazing stay, decent staff
- Amgadfgyassa (6/5): Average hotel - It’s good located near the grand pyramid but the bridge in front of the hotel make it not clean without clear view.
The food is low quality not good taste and
The toilet is average cleaned
Rooms is moderate furnishings
Staff try their best to help you but with minimal tools
- MahmoudH517 (8/5): Very good hotel - Nice big rooms, nice staff, however, they must take care of the cleanness.
The breakfast was normal due to COVID-19 but the standard not good for me
The drinks were two options only and no coffee :(
The air-condition not working in the lobby
- omarsV2590IV (2/5): The security of the hotel harass with the tourisets, it's not save at all - The security of the hotel harass with the tourists, it's not saved at all. the security pf the hotel harassed my customer. I called their manager. no one made anything. the worst hotel in Cairo. So bad
- Saleh (2/5): - Bad hotel bad service they will rip you off your money
- Layhla_G (8/5): Pyramid vibes - A lovely hotel in the busy Giza, once you inside all city noise subside.
Great pool area with lovely bar area.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very spacious with a lovely balcony.
Breakfast was good.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Good locatoin. Helpful staff. Poor quality and really dirty floor in the room. Broken down taps, door handle
- Tracy (2/5): - Several years ago probably a "grand" hotel but now sad, tired and in desperate need of a refurbishment. Expedia need to due more recent due diligence as website pictures did not accurately portray the hotel and its facilities.
- Opera123456789 (2/5): Terrible Hotel - Very old. Neglected. The breakfast is bad and includes old vegetables and bread. The room has nothing in it and the fridge is terribly neglected. We needed to call the staff every day to ask for toilet paper.
There are constructions in the street and it is dangerous and impossible to walk there. No safe option to get out without a car.
Stay away!
- eleanor (6/5): Resting point - The internet didn't work for most of our stay, the floor was stained, we stayed in more than one room and all of them were in the same condition. The bathroom doors were broken. There is a major language barrier if you speak English which also makes things difficult. The staff did there best to accomodate
- valeriep294 (4/5): Terrible Hotel - We had to take the Manager up to our room to prove the bad state of the room, not vaccuumed, the bathroom not cleaned at all, the beds were made, not sure if the linen was changed!! Manager's response, this happens. The breakfast was poor, the bread and pastries stale and dry, omletes made ahead of time and stacked on a dish, long wait for a cup of coffee, fruit not very fresh. The wait staff not so friendly. Made it difficult for us to justify a tip. The road to the hotel is extremely poor and the area very dusty and dirty. The staff were helpful and friendly.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This place was an absolutely filthy hotel. The room carpet was a disgrace and the skirting boards had layers of dust throughout the building. The children’s play area was full of broken and dangerous equipment with workmen’s tools nearby. We were told at the pool only 2 sun beds for 1 room. We asked where our 2 kids were supposed to sit and they shrugged. We’d obviously Booked and paid for 4. Breakfast was clearly what was left from the day before including mashed potatoes for breakfast. Tables were full of crumbs from the previous evening. We got there first in the morning so it wasn’t just people before us. This was a horror show of a hotel. We booked out early even though they refused to refund us.
- Syed Anwar (2/5): - The hotel is not even 1 star room bathroom every were broken reception staff really rood room service really bad a/c not working i stayed 9 night without a/c it was really hot toilet flashes not working when I ask to fix no one comes heardley you can't find any stuff there is no gim no sona food is discusting every day same food all Egyptian food i had a very bad experience in my life please remove your system this hotel i want my many refund only out side looking nice inside really really bad conditions shour is not working properly i can't explain how bed hotel is & there service
- Mohamed (2/5): - Disapointing staff.was accused of stealing a towel at check out
- Moe (6/5): - The property designed to be the best from location and construction point of view. Staff might needed to be better selected or trained on how to work in tourism industry. The facility have all what a tourist may need during the vacation time, however staff are not willing to make things happen and respond to guest needs.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property was located near the pyramids. The amenities were very nice and comfortable. The breakfast was very nice. It was definitely an excellent weekend.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The proparty is old stile and very good but , unfortunately there is no maintenance and outside is very dusty and noisy.
- Ekaterina (2/5): - It is most terrible experience , I left hotel after one night !!! It is terrible dirty place in all Giza !
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Very bod food and bad staff in restaurant bad quantity of food . I reached to restaurant at /9 pm I found no food .
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly staff and clean hotel.
Highly recommended
- Ahmad (2/5): Worst hotel in the world - Dirty bedsheets, very old rooms, damage a/c and refrigerator, bad staff attitude, the reception guy he want to let me pay 15$ extra because my czn visit me in the room and he talk with bad words because I didn’t give him a tip , hope to remove the hotel from the app
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Depends on the geast, it is cheap, not bad, but need renovations
- Kamal (6/5): Nothing nearby. Canal across the hotel disgusting - Washrooms had no toilet paper. Rooms have no Wi-Fi (Only in lobby). Very basic hotel. Same old breakfast every day. Absolutely no change in menu. No smiles on any faces except the odd ones out. Poor location and no shops or restaurants nearby. The canal facing the hotel is ugly.
- Nigel (8/5): - The hotel desk staff were very good with excellent English. The room was very comfortable with a good A/C system.
- Taleb (10/5): - A nice hotel and nice stuff, the service was great.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Not pleasant. Not recommended in current condition.
- jorge (6/5): Cairo hotel. Just fine - The hotel is ok for the price but the area is not nice. They did not mention that the free internet it’s at the lobby only and it’s no good st all. Not many options to eat at the hotel either.
- Beth (6/5): Close to Restaurants, Spinney Market, Pyramids. - Very secure hotel and stuffs very friendly.
Nice and clean swimming pool.
Great patio!!
Nice a/c
- Verified traveler (6/5): Low Cost, Low Quality - The hotel had a very tired and worn out feel. The carpet was extremely dirty throughout the hotel. The walls were dirty, everything needed freshening up. The kids were very disappointed that the indoor pool was dirty and out of commission during our entire stay. No Wifi in the rooms. Wifi in lobby was spotty at best. The area was very crowded and loud. Not a pleasant place for an evening stroll. All that said, the price was decent and, if you're not planning to spend much time at the hotel, it works.
- Patricia (4/5): - WiFi never works alzó the room is too dark and rags where ver y old. The elevator area to dark also bit the staff at the hotel very kind and nice
- Verified traveler (4/5): Room condition - No coffee maker cloth iron not well equipped room
They ne d to do better to keep and generate tourists traffic to hotel. More efforts are needed to improve facility
- Mikki (10/5): Great releaf from cairo. - Was great, The room was quiet unlike elsewhere in Cairo. close to pyramids
Really nice... It was good to have a nice place to stay... Great value.
There was a cool- local wedding going on while we where there. Great experience.
The breakfast was really good.
Easy to get to on public transportation:
Metro to Giza station 1EL /pp
micro-buss to Ring road overpass: 3 EL /pp
(flag down a van with the door open "yell Haram to the micro-bus driver and make the pyrimid symbol with your hands.) You can also take the taxi from the metro.
Walk 100m South under the ring road underpass... you should see it from there.
There is a food district really close (by-crow flies 300m SWW) head west from El sayaad restaurant and you should see the area.
They spray for mosquitoes all the time. I was not bitten once
Had to go to the reception area for free WiFi. Paid wifi was available in the rooms.
- Dermie (8/5): Well located, better priced! - A very nicely, presented hotel. Beautiful layout. Was a massive let down in regards to Internet, was advised there would be 'high speed' wired internet access in your rooms, the price they charged per day was absurb and the actual internet seemed non-existent. Few staff aren't very helpful and there was a certain communication barrier.
Wael, is a manger in one of the restaurants and is one of the best people I have met. Mohammed, who works in souvenir store within hotel is most welcoming too.
This hotel is well worth the price overall. Very close to Giza Pyramids and only 15 minutes away from Cairo.
- Verified traveler (4/5): A/C was broken, staff unresponsive - A/C was broken, Housekeeping & reception unresponsive
- Ricardo (4/5): Good hotel terrible location. - It's a nice hotel but it is located in an ugly neighborhood. Yes, it is pretty close to the pyramids but that's it. The city is loud and filthy. Also, the TV and AC were not working, I reported that 3 times and nothing was fixed in the 4 days we stayed there. Staff is friendly though but they do expect a tip every time they help. Additionally, I booked a room with view to the pyramids and I had a view to a building that was under construction. I would recommend to stay in Cairo better.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Overall good experience. Is a good hotel with moderate to good amenities especially when factoring in the price.
- lee (8/5): - About all is good .
- not good hotal (2/5): No good - Hotel in bad area no wifi in the room to much dust I will never go to that. Hotel again
- Verified traveler (2/5): Bad hotel - Was horrible, the hotel is in the middle the dangerous neighborhood. You can't hang out. One day we request breakfast room service and never received.
- hesham (8/5): good stay - it's good in total
- Mohamed (2/5): Do not recommended it for a freind - The hotel is very old it needs urgent complete maintenance and refurbishing, the bathroom was a miss water was not flowing properly switching between extremely hot and cold while taking the shower the windows were note properly maintained some there was a cold air flow coming to the room (it is winter time the AC was not working on hot every time you must call for the maintenance to come and fix it which took nearly one hour every time you switch the heater on)
room service is very bad you need to call at least two times before they answer you also the reception you minimum call three time before somebody answers you.
most of the Staff are not helpful even the breakfast buffet was not good variety was very limited you can not enjoy even a tea or coffee as it was hardly warm if you want to enjoy it hot you need to order it from the staff to bring it from out of the restaurant.
- tamer (10/5): GRAND PYRAMIDS HOTEL , GIZA , EGYPT - This hotel is quite good in itself , the problem is the neighbourhood is a trouble , from 8 years when this hotel was build all around it was not like that , in the past when guest sit on the pool they was seeing the Giza pyramids , but actually to be fair it is still very good for 2 days family with children trips & the price is good too , I like the owner of this resort doing the most with this fair price to keep the resort so good from inside , but it is important to make the air condition in the reception higher cause it was low , over-all it was great with a nice view pool and garden , quiet smart resort , I advice it for family and children resort .
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ahmed and Sharif, the tourists guides are awesome - Excellent experience. Ahmed and Sharif made our trip spectacular
- Verified traveler (2/5): Bad hotel - This is very bad hotel I stayed in my life. Staff doesn't allow anybody to come to your room. No friends will be allowed to visit you even normal friends.
- SMH (8/5): My trip - The overall check in process was good. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. But the only setback was that there was a construction opposite the hotel and the were not many shops in the surrounding area that are open.
- ilene (8/5): nice relaxing holiday - had a very pleasing stay hotel was clean & fresh, linen and towels were changed every day, room service was good also. was bit hot in reception where I had to spend lot of time for use of internet but found the fresh air machine worked wonders ,internet was not as good as I expected so that was disappointment for me other than that could find no fault.
- Nelly (8/5): Extraordinary hotel for the price. - Wonderful place, friendly staff, family oriented. Very well located and would return in a breeze anytime.
I can only highly recommend this hotel.
- Verified traveler (4/5): It was definetely....an experience! - Lots of issues with the language barrier, which is expected. However if they want to keep their "4 star" status, major improvements are required in this area. Being bilingual is not just about saying "yes sir" or "no ma'm". That's what was happening the whole time :(
- mak travels (6/5): needs a good cleaning throughout - The hotel was a bargain at $36 per night for what you get. The room was nice but dirty...the walls in the room had black dirt or soot on them and if you rub up against them your clothes need to be washed. It looks like they never wipe down walls or clean the drapes. the carpets were dirty and dusty and there was mold and mildew in the bathroom.
The nicest thing about this hotel was the compound was walled off so you are isolated from all the dirt and grime of being in Cairo and inside the compound was a nice pool, landscaped areas, outdoor bars and a bedouin tent for entertainment in the evening. Location was also good with access to the pyramids only a few minutes away and only a few seconds to get on the Ring road which circles the city.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Having visited Cairo on a number of occasions I have to say that this hotel offers the best value for money I have encountered to date. I will certainly return there.
- Damian (8/5): Great oasis in a rather hectic city - This hotel is located in the Giza area of Cairo. It is about 4.5 miles from the centre of Cairo, and about 1.5 miles from the Pyramids. I got an amazing deal through hotels.com for 10 nights. Even though I booked, and got an economy room, it was very spacious, as was the bathroom, and had a fridge. The bed had a lovely firm mattress, for a great nights sleep. The shower had great pressure, with constant hot water. There's a wonderful huge pool, with plenty of sun loungers. The restaurants serve pretty good food at very good prices. Even room service is not at all that expensive. The hotel has its own taxi service, which is still cheap compared to the west. Outside the hotel, cheaper taxis wait, and a price can be arranged for where you want to go. Just around the corner to the right of the hotel on the main road, is a local supermarket. Great for stocking up your inroom fridge with water and snacks, and so cheap. Free wifi is available in the lobby area 24/7. It is rather outside downtown, but I found that to be a blessing. Downtown Cairo is a cheap cab ride away. Or better yet, get a cab to the Giza metro, and take the metro into the city for only one Egyptian pound. I walked to and from the Pyramids several times, about 20mins each way. On two occasions I even walked from Giza metro station back to the hotel. That walk is not for the faint hearted!!
- lisa (6/5): nothing wrong, nothing amazing - solid hotel, decent location. staff is friendly and the place is clean. tourism in giza/cairo is lagging big time, and it shows everywhere. the whole place has a sad atmosphere, and the hotel was the same. i imagine when the industry is booming it would be a lively place. but, as is, the hotel was clean and fine.there is nothing wrong with the hotel. it just seems a little desolate. the breakfast buffet was lacking though. overall, it does the job and the price is fine. oh, no alcohol. and the tour guide info person in the lobby was very good.
- P Ag (6/5): Value for Money - The only thing which you will find useful for this hotel is it's value for money and close proximity to the pyramids. Else this hotel is far from Cairo city center. A big negative for this hotel is its poor customer service ! But not sure if I should complain considering the price I paid for this hotel was not exorbitant.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good hotel - Room service was excellent, staff all very friendly and helpfull.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great Hotel,Comfortable stay.. - Very comfortable beds, clean well kepped hotel, breakfast is plentiful..staff aim to please, i would definately stay there again..away from the hustle & bustle of town..
- Shahid (8/5): Good Hotel - The only thing, which did not suit us was its distance from Cairo. Heavy traffic and too much time spent on the road.
- SA (10/5): Soooo close to the pyramids - March 2013, emailed hotel asked for top floor pyramid view room 1513.paid 100LE to get to the hotel from the airport, 30LE to get to the museum or dinner cruise area. hotel charged 100LE to take us to the pyramids and drive us from one pyramid to the other and wait for us while we walked around (took 3 hours) Pyramid experience was spoiled by harassing Egyptians trying to sell anything and everything. best to get a taxi outside the hotel &agree on price before you start. The Pharaohs Cruise was great and the museum has the most amazing display of history. The people in the business center in the hotel were helpful and honest. You can use their computers and pay 30LE for 1/2hour internet access. The food in the hotel was lovely &very reasonably priced 100LE for 2 courses for 2 people. Be prepared for a very 3rd world experience - no police, driving chaos on the roads &litter everywhere. You can wear what you like around the hotel but it is advisable, for women, to cover up outside the hotel - the men will stare and approach you, making you more of a tourist target (to be overcharged for everything) and very uncomfortable. Don't get ripped off by the shops in the hotel - the supermarket around the corner from the hotel (5 mins walk up the main street away from the pyramids) sells papyrus pictures for only 15LE (not the 100 the shop charges) Other shops up that area will charge 30LE for the 3 pyramid figures. Totally awesome experience.
- John (8/5): Grand pyramids - Overall very good value for money.friendly staff. Clean rooms. Good selection of in house food. Night staff could be abit more informative
- Jess (6/5): Not too bad, but would not stay again - Location: It's good it's close to pyramids, but horrible area, you can't walk really anywhere. I hoped I could just enjoy the swimming poool, but it's in front of the hotel and just below 4 lines highway. It's noisy but it's not too bad as it is noisy anywhare in Cairo
Staff: Helpfull when possible, especially afternoon shift
Price: Comparing what what it is and what you get, it doesn't worth it.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great to be there - Good Value of Money....
Got more value Thai spend.....
- Ahmed (4/5): very poor service. rude people at the reception. - the small swimming pool was full of garbage of all kinds.
people at the reception kept me for nearly an hour to understand what a booking through expedia means and the to prepare the room.
when I last got the room, it was completely different fron the one displayed on expedia. I was booking for 2 adults and 3 children and I was told that the room would include two double beds, but it included two single beds, and when I asked for a third bed, people at the reception said they do not have any extra beds available.
The area around the hotel is very dirty.
at the morning, there was a water cut for nearly 30 minutes.
the water in the shower turned from very hot to very cold every now and again and unexpectedly.
- FedericoB (2/5): Very poor service and hotel - We had a room with several problems with the water, toilet doesnt work and shower either.
Overall hotel is not clean.
We had a room with breakfast included, but they charged the breakfast AGAIN after checkout.
Breakfast was very poor indeed.
I will definetively dont go agein and dont recomend...
- k.M.W. (10/5): Great deal - This resort was a great deal the room was huge, service was good and most of all the pool was the best in the area! The room was very clean and the air con worked to keep the room a very comfortable temp.
- Jamie (10/5): Brilliant - Very friendly and enthusiastic staff and only 10-15 minutes away from the Giza Pyramids.
- amira (4/5): - Hotel reception has no air conditioning and it was summer , room AC was not working
- London man (10/5): Excellent for family stay - - Good was fasting so they made provision in Ramadan for early breakfasts . Watch out for man with camel he can be very pushy for tips. Pyramids are 5 mins away and should cost no about £1.00 but you will prob pay £2.00 or 20egp.
- jay (8/5): Value for money - The hotel was great value for price. Located in centre with lots of places to see and eat out.
- GCGranville (8/5): Nice hotel in lousy neighbourhood - Interesting hotel: a peaceful hotel in a weird area. Giza is a dirty, noisy and crowded area. Giza is full of life, but the dirt, people, pollution and refuse just get under one's skin. The hotel is a pleasant oasis in the middle of all this, although with the increased urbanization of the local area it is losing its privacy and views of the pyramids; its closeness to the pyramids is maybe not important, as most people will take a taxi anywhere (although you can walk to the main entrance to the pyramids - it takes about 25 mins). One could stay in a downtown Cairo hotel, which will be more expensive but also less noise and dirty surroundings. Food is ok in the hotel, but maybe there could be more local dishes in the restaurants.
- mohamed (8/5): Beautful hotel, excellent service - The hotel is very good, cleanliness and room service are very good, the swiming pools are fabulous, and the buffet breakfast is excellent. But do not ask about the internet service; the cost is around £10 an hour??
- Verified traveler (8/5): Overall a good hotel - Rooms were clean and spacious, restaurant service a bit slow at times, otherwise anice stay.Travelled with 7 year old who enjoyed the camel ride in the hotel grounds
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not value for the money - Service in the hotel was quite poor. Breakfast not good and food poor in Italian restaurant. Pool area quite nice, but overall location "under highway" not too attractive if you don't hapen to like heavy traffic next door.
