- Kepri (10/5): - The staff is always beyond nice and friendly. The place is always clean. If the beds were a little less hard it would be heavenly. But otherwise a fantastic place to stay near lots of things!

- Daisy (6/5): Attentive staff but tired interior and facilities. - The hotel is outdated and tired. It’s in a very good location and the staff are very attentive. However, the facilities definitely need upgrading. For example, many sockets are loose and broken. The hairdryer is still of old fashioned on the wall type. It’s very tricky to style and dry the hair at the same time. The room is full of bad drain blocked smell so I have to buy air fresher to disguise the bad smell. All staff are very helpful and polite. For the price, I don’t expect it to be a 5 star facility. There are plenty of newer and sleeker choices in the market in Taipei.
- Sandra (6/5): - The location is fine. The hotel is nice, the room I had was fine and soundproofed which is a deal-breaker for me as I'm highly sensitive to noise. The staff was nice, but as usual in China, Taiwan, they barely speak english so that was a bit of an issue sometimes. The only real down I see is the smell in the hallway that was not the best and the freezing A/C making it hard not to catch a cold with the outside temperature difference.
- Simin (8/5): - Great room view directly opposite the Taipei Arena. Short walking distance to the Taipei Arena for catching a concert. The pillow is too soft, would be better if hotel can provide 2 pillows for each bed or firmer pillows for better comfort. Check in & check out were done by self service kiosks. Although this was convenient & we did not meet with any issues, it would be great if there were some greetings from the staff as it felt like no customer service was given throughout the stay.
- Li (8/5): - Clean room and spacious. Staff are friendly and helpful. Corridors, carpets, lifts are old . Bathroom is abit old in hardware and the shower is in the bath tab but the height of the bath tab is quite high, not easy to step in and out. Location wise- close to MRT. Many restaurants around the hotel. And the gym facility provided is excellent.

The Hotel itself has unique architectural features in terms of the shape of the hotel, built around a large buffet restaurant, many curves, and welcoming hallways. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

- Tze Chung (10/5): - Stay was excellent. Front desk staffs were very helpful and responsive. Hotel locates in a nice and safety area, close to two subway stations (both within 5 mins walk) and bus stops. Lots of restaurants around including both luxurious and economical. Opposite to Taipei Arena.

- Momo (4/5): - Room is clean and spacious with two king size beds. Shower hot water can be unstable at times. I was there for two days. First night was great. However second night there was loud bass sound coming from 16th floor pub. I had to go down to the lobby and complaint to the hotel but the loud bass lasted overnight till 2 or three. Disappointed, it is not a cheap hotel. Beware your corner suites!

- Deborah (10/5): - I am impressed with the spaciousness of this hotel, including the lobby, sitting areas on each floor, dining/restaurant, my hotel room/bathroom, and the fun see-through elevators which are plentiful with nearly no wait time! I had a lovely view of the city from the 15th floor which I enjoyed day and night. Both coffee and tea (plus bottled water) are provided each day. Super comfortable bed allowed for restful sleep and relaxation. It was my little piece of heaven for 6 nights. The only negatives I can think of are the shower temperature is not easy to adjust and the hotel is a little far from MRT station (maybe I'm spoiled.) The Breeze shopping center is right next door for food court, supermarket, etc. A comparatively larger size Seven-11 is connected to the hotel so you don't even need to leave the hotel to get snacks or other daily use items. I would love to return to Illume in the future!

No water in the room - empty beaker, you have to make a pilgrimage to the remote and frustratingly slow water dispenser. The staff failed to explain key info - how to get to your room! The hotel is cavernous and there's insufficient signage. Breakfast is good and varied, but limited fruit options and no fresh juice.

The crew reacted quick and were resourceful. We retrieved our bag before heading back home, thanks to the hospitality, kindness and efficiency of the public service in Taiwan.
