I’m a big fan of all-inclusive resorts, especially in Cancun and the Riviera Maya, but our stay at Zilara was something else. It was our 10-year anniversary and we were super excited. The team knew about our special occasion and went above and beyond. They upgraded our room for free and surprised us with champagne and chocolate cake in the room. It was the perfect way to kick off the trip. We were surprised to find that almost all the rooms have ocean views. We upgraded to an oceanfront room on a higher floor and the view was just incredible. The room was huge, honestly felt like a suite, and it even had a jacuzzi inside. Super clean, super comfy. There are 7 restaurants and none of them feel like your typical all-inclusive food. There’s Asian fusion, seafood, upscale Mexican, a farm-to-table spot, and a rooftop restaurant with unreal sunset views. Food quality was great across the board. Portions are small but you can keep ordering, and everything tasted fresh. The hotel is located right in the middle of the Hotel Zone, where the beaches are that unreal turquoise color Cancun is famous for. We were lucky and had zero seaweed during our stay. If we wanted to go out to the mall or places like Coco Bongo, we just asked the front desk to call a taxi and within a few minutes one was waiting outside. It’s only about a 5 to 7 minute ride to most of the main spots, so the location felt super convenient without being chaotic. One of the biggest surprises was how quiet the property is. Since all the rooms face the ocean, you don’t get street noise at all. Even with the lively vibe around the pool during the day, the overall atmosphere felt calm and relaxing. At night it was peaceful, and we slept incredibly well every single night. The main pool is an infinity pool with a perfect ocean view. Some parts are chill, others are more lively. They had a foam party over the weekend which was a blast. There are cabanas around the pool that usually cost extra, but the team gave us a discount for our anniversary. Loved every minute there. The service here really stood out. Everyone was professional but relaxed, never pushy. They gave us space but were always around when we needed something. No weird tipping vibes or fake friendliness – just genuine, warm hospitality. We've stayed at a bunch of adults-only resorts around here and nothing else came close. Worth It? This was hands down the best value we’ve ever gotten for a vacation. My sister in law told us to book through Travelingos, a local agency, and I’m so glad we did. They work directly with the hotel and got us way better prices than anything we saw online. Plus, all the little extras we got were thanks to them. Highly recommend checking them out if you're planning a trip to Cancun. Hyatt Zilara was incredible. We’ll definitely be back. Huge thanks to the staff and to Travelingos for making it so special.

We also booked a spa day for an extra fee and it was very relaxing. Also, a big shout out to Carlos for capturing beautiful pictures. I loved them. I can’t wait to go back.

He was running the valet during our previous stay a couple years ago and is the reason we stayed at the hotel again. We will continue to stay at the Hyatt downtown because of JIM! Smaller resort with the attention from the staff as if you are the only persons there. Food is a solid 3 out of 5. We were here when it was Secrets Capri and the food was amazing. Beach bar is pizza and no more Cevichi bar. Capri Grill Italian was good. Hotel did pop up lunch and dinner options including a Brazilian night but would have preferred more local Mexican food and fresh salsa.
- pamelawC3057HA (8/5): Some of the Best service in Mexico - Spent a 5 day mother/adult daughter getaway at Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya...and the hotel, especially the staff, exceeded almost all of our expectations. Having been awarded a Hyatt Guest of Honor pass by friends, we were upgraded to an Ocean Front suite, complete with champagne and goodies delivered each day by 2 of the best butlers in the business, Fernanda and Renata. They went above and beyond to make certain that our stay was everything we had hoped, including a cabana rental for a day. The guest yoga instructors, Amber and Eric Blumberg, started our day with inspired yoga overlooking the water made the trip divine. The entire crew, including the spa crew, was fantastic and the spa was gorgeous. Highly recommend although the place is a bit dated and the "fiesta night buffet" left much to be desired. The people and the vibe at this place make up for it!

- SamXoXo (10/5): Fab hotel - Hotel location is fantastic - on the Cancun hotel strip but the beach is still relatively private. Hotel itself is gorgeous - large lobby in the centre with bar and entertainment area, a la carte restaurants are separate in a garden area which made them feel more intimate. Hotel has more of a party vibe than Zilara Riviera Maya (and younger clientele - mainly 30/40s) but still pretty chilled. Great entertainment in evenings - white party / acrobats / stilt walkers - a step above usual hotel entertainment. Don’t miss the cocktail bar (The Den) which is just off the main lobby area We had an Ocean view room which was huge with a jacuzzi tub, gorgeous view and large balcony. Pool has free and paid cabanas. Free ones tend to be reserved by towels by 7am but no people til lunchtime - hotel should really stop this and limit reserving to 1hr. On pool party days cabanas become crazy expensive but you do get a bottle of champagne or tequila included. Beach has free cabanas all day which always seemed empty. Beach area was lovely if a bit busy - a lot of Instagram photo shoots going on! Food and service at restaurants was very good - good quality meat at buffet too. A la carte weee walk in - Maria Marie was my favourite - allergies well handled. Fantastic omelettes at breakfast! Staff are great but did notice a bit of a Hote at all in how tippers / non tippers were treated - it wasn’t easy to get change at the hotel which didn’t help (bar staff were changing $10 from their own pockets - management should really help with this). On a few days I had no change til after lunch and I was very aware of the difference (servers still polite but noticeably less attentive).

Nightlife is great on resort so never a dull moment and there are shows bars, restaurants, lounges and performances in the lobby all night long. My husband and I are in our mid 30s and we had a great time. It’s not a party hotel, but it is really fun even still. There was a foam pool party and an all white party on the resort also. They have hookah in one of the bars in the hotel for xtra ($60). All of the rooms are beachfront. I never write reviews, but felt like I had to. Room service is 24 hours and amazing! Get the seafood pasta with extra seafood. There is no charge for the extra seafood. Thank me later! Poolside Cabana is $150-$200 but we sat and listened to the timeshare people and got a $200 credit (they give you the credit whether you purchase a timeshare or not we knew we were not purchasing. We just wanted the $200 credit for cabana lol and it was well worth it! We only listened for one hour and received the best poolside cabana during the phone party with a free bottle of champagne and drink/food service.) the swim my pool was fun. There are comfortable large loveseat type seating on the beach further down that are free and there are waiters that will come out to you on the beach and ask if you want anything to eat or anything to drink. There are men on the beach constantly asking if you need any thing like cigars or cigarettes or… Anything else wink wink lol. There is an ATM on the resort that gives pesos and American dollars. The gift shop sells tobacco, cigars, rolling papers. Etc. if you like milkshakes and want to get drunk, the mudslides are great. Zilara spoiled us… We don’t wanna go anywhere else. I have been to Finest Playa Mujures & this resort was so much better. The crowd was mainly 30s & up and all races, but I saw a couple 20 something’s sprinkled in there. If you’re a Spring breaker or looking to meet guys or girls, I would go somewhere else. most people appear to be coupled up or professional (but fun, youthful, and polite!). It’s really fun! It’s just not 17 year old spring break fun probably lol. keep in mind I am 35. Sorry for typos as I am using voice text and it is midnight. staff was also amazing and so friendly. They put their hands over their hearts every time they see you. Can’t wait until renovations are complete. I believe they will be complete in February 2026. We will be back as soon as they open! Hopefully the price doesn’t go up to drastically. The photos truly don’t do justice to this place… You have to experience it.

Shout out to Giovanna and Chef Pablo and Marcos at Asiana for taking care of us, and Fredy for the special birthday treats! Loved that the coffee shop opened early and had lots of snacks throughout the day. Rooms and balconies were beautiful. Our biggest complaint was the lack of beach chairs - if you weren’t renting a cabana, you were kind of screwed. The cabana rental model needs to go.

- E4781MYgregs (10/5): Best all inclusive in Cancun, hands down! - Hyatt Zilara Cancun is the best all inclusive resort I have every stayed at. There are several reasons but the main reason is the location. Every single room has an ocean view, and overall the resort is located right on the beach so you're constantly hearing the ocean waves and it's always right there. Folks travel to Cancun for the ocean, and it's always right on top of you which is the whole point. Zilara also has a huge gym, complete with lap pool that faces west which is awesome for late afternoon dips once the sun sets on the main pool on the beach side. And to clarify, it is 100% adults only. I've been here twice now, and there's zero doubt I'll be back for a 3rd 4th and 5th trip as well. Highly recommended!

What a truly consummate and knowledgable professional. Evelin made our experience very personal and pleasurable. Honestly, we had a few hiccups on the way to the hotel, but once there Evelin made it all better by personalizing our experience. The hotel staff were exceptionally personable without being pushy.; everyone from Wait to Bar to Pool Side staff were pleasant. We even had an opportunity to speak with the Resort General Manager, Edwardo Rojas who was also extremely personable and welcoming in a genuine way. We’re looking forward to returning to this Mexican Gem of a resort and Management Team! Get there if you can too. You will have to wait till the renovations are dine though as they’ll be closed for the next 8-10 months getting the Hotel Hyatt Zilara ready for your most memorable dream experience.

Hotel did not disappoint in shutting down in style. We were treated as vip’s and got the best service from GM Eduardo, his assistant Wendy and also from our favorite waiter Arturo at Punta Vista, manager Luis at Spice always so attentive, best Old Fashion from Ernesto at Den, excellent bar service from Eduardo, Eliseo, Felipe, treated amazingly by pool attendants Ivan and David and lastly by my very favorite Ligia who goes out of her way to always tend to our every need. I will miss the resort and all the wonderful staff that has become my Cancun family. I will definitely be waiting for reopening to see all the new renovations and to see my family again!

Rooms nice and cool and spacious with built-in jacuzzi tub. Pricing was too much for ALL inclusive in Cancun. Hotel was not that busy and entertainment excellent given closing celebration for staff. Check in and out too timely and slow. Transportation to/from should be cheaper and more readily available. I'm a Marriott member and thus I like their service for the price better.

Unfavorable experience with 2 staff members. I had an issue with the misleading information advertised. Specifically the airport shuttle service. Site indicated transportation was included w/price. I asked to arrange pickup, (at check in) and was told hotel doesn’t offer airport transportation but could schedule a ride for $50. I showed him website advertisement. Their suggestion was for me to contact booking.com to resolve. I found it unacceptable, couldn’t see the logic in my handling it. I understand 3rd party site booking agreements, etc can complicate things. But for $400/night I expected more. Being solution based, I asked if they were willing credit ($50) off my room price, or issue refund and I’ll go stay elsewhere. She (Manager) refused. The (2) Guest service individuals I dealt with seemed dismissive, and somewhat argumentative. Also someone (guy) from the front called my room to set up car services. I stated the issue (again) about pricing, he wasn’t helpful. We went back and fourth about it, basic response was their policy to give airport shuttle. I asked for the manager, he asked me to hold, but was hung up on. At that point I went downstairs to speak with manager in person. In conclusion nothing was resolved. I scheduled an Uber for $16. Much cheaper than their option. Also wasn’t thrilled w/food options. I had dinner buffet and room service. Both lacked flavor. I wanted to like it. The best parts of my visit were my room, the beach and pools. The diner show was okay as well. 😕

Although we visited before the renovations, it's still nice and clean! I can only imagine with the renovation, how spectacular it will look.

Lots of classes and things to do although I didn't do any of them- just enjoyed the room and view. Already planning my next trip back!! Spa is also definitely worth the visit.

It was not only delicious but beautifully presented with a variety of options to satisfy any palate. The resort offers several fantastic restaurants, and we especially enjoyed dining at the outdoor restaurant, where we could take in stunning views of the water while enjoying our meal. Every room at the Hyatt faces the water, and we were treated to a spacious room with a large balcony. The linens were soft, and the shower amenities were of excellent quality, which added to the overall comfort of our stay. The staff truly made our experience stand out. They were incredibly friendly, helpful, and polite, always going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. We also appreciated the fact that the resort is an adult-only retreat. While we both love children, having a peaceful, quieter atmosphere was exactly what we wanted. It was wonderfully relaxing. That said, if you're looking for more lively activities, there’s plenty to enjoy! The resort offers fun events like foam parties, trivia, and "name that tune" games for those who want a bit more excitement. In the evenings, there’s entertainment, but we personally loved just unwinding at the beach and savoring the delicious food at the restaurants. All in all, this resort exceeded our expectations, and we couldn’t have asked for a better getaway. We highly recommend it!

I think as they renovate and reopen again it's a must visit place if you're looking for a getaway without kids or just wanna have a great time away. From the time we checked to the time we left our every need and request was taken care of from the dietary preferences for my wife to the need for drinks and accessibility for my wife to the ultra relaxing experience at the spa. We can't thank enough the people Jack, Emiliano and Luis from Playa collection to Gerrardo the chef who made our experience just extraordinary by crafting personal vegetarian dishes for us. The waiting staff Hugo, Alfredo, alberto, Luis, Ruben at the Punta Vista and Spice restaurants to the maitre d's sayra and monica. The room was always kept clean and every night our bed was made perfectly with chocolates on both sides for a relaxing night sleep. Some areas for improvement in the Spice restaurant Breakfast buffet for people arriving after 9:30 as most options would have finished but the omelette station compensated for the lack of buffet options, we got very bad neighbours to our left when we booked the poolside cabana, the lack of on cabana service options for munching with drinks but all these things were balanced by the very good and engaging pool party by the staff . I can't emphasize enough how well treated we felt at Hyatt Zilara

We left the resort three nights in a row to get a decent meal. The wine and cocktails were also poor for a five-star resort. The bartenders used syrupy mixes instead of making hand-crafted cocktails. I expected better for the price and ratings.

- DANIEL (8/5): - The staff is excellent except for the restaurant waiters are overwhelmed. We went to 3 and it took 15-30 just to take our order and the same to receive it. Some restaurants are hot and need a/c. Food is good at the Mexican and Asian Restaurants and room service food is good. The poolside restaurant is horrible and the buffets restaurant not good. Place needs to be renovated, the floors are cracked and the furniture is dated. The elevators take forever and one is broken. Out Jr suit was very comfortable. The shower and jetted tub were great.

It was hard to find a free Cabana and chairs and we felt like we had to rush out to reserve seats first thing in the morning which was not relaxing. The only other complaints are that the was NO pool bathroom and you had to walk inside the hotel. But we absolutely loved our vacation and the room was clean, comfortable bed and nice balcony.

- james (10/5): - Hyatt Zilara is okay but seems to be isolated. There are little shopping shops around the hotel. Cars are rushing on the front road and it is hard and dangerous to come across the road over the crosswalk.
