- Eyup (9/5): Très bon séjour dans un cadre exceptionnel, avec un personnel attentionné et un petit déjeuner de qualité face à une vue - L’endroit est exceptionnel, avec un emplacement idéal et une atmosphère très agréable. Le petit déjeuner est très copieux, varié et de grande qualité. Mention spéciale pour la vue à couper le souffle qui rend ce moment encore plus agréable. Une très belle expérience dans l’ensemble. J’ai passé un bon séjour dans l’ensemble et tout s’est bien déroulé. L’hôtel est agréable, avec un emplacement exceptionnel, idéal pour profiter pleinement du séjour. Le personnel est accueillant et attentionné. En revanche, la chambre familiale était un peu décevante, car elle ne dispose pas vraiment de vue et donne directement sur d’autres fenêtres extérieures, ce qui la rend assez sombre. Je pense que ce point devrait être précisé au moment de la réservation afin d’éviter toute mauvaise surprise. Je tiens également à remercier tout particulièrement Nadeem, Betty et Selma pour leur gentillesse et leur professionnalisme. Ils ont été très serviables, attentifs et ont largement contribué à rendre notre séjour agréable. Un grand merci à eux pour leur accueil et leur disponibilité.

Close to all the tourist places, close to public transport. Couldnt have asked for a better location. Nadeem, Salma and Gozde were very friendly, polite and helpful with any questions we had. Breakfast was good, lots of options and kids really enjoyed it. Rooms are a bit outdated and desperate need of a revamp and modernisation. Daily cleaning service isnt great. Besides making the bed and tidying the bathroom, not much more. For a 5 star i would have expected the room to he cleaned properly daily. Wifi was poor and non existent. Airconditioning in the room didnt work. i understand it is centrally controlled, but unable to tailor for the room. Dissapointed with the individuals working the entrance of the hotel. Very unfriendly, never greeted or smiled. Expect a lot more for a 5 star.

Era para ter 3 camas de solteiro e 1 sofá cama, ter vista para um ponto turístico da cidade e nos deram de fundos, de frente para umas construções. Solicitei outro na recepção e para a Salma, responsável e não nos trocaram. O banheiro com suporte de toalhas quebrado, no chão. Toalhas e pisos esgarçados e com rasgos, sem amenidades habituais para um hotel 5 estrelas, o café da manhã caiu muito a qualidade. Já não tem frutas secas como tinha(tâmaras, damascos, etc). Frutas frescas só laranja super moles de tão maduras e maçãs. Os frios ressecados por, provavelmente terem sido manipulados na véspera. Nada estava apetitoso. Nem parecia o mesmo hotel que ficamos em 2024 e porisso voltamos. Lamentável. Outra coisa que foi terrível foi termos combinado o transfer para o aeroporto as 15.15 e só chegou 15.50. Tínhamos que estar no aeroporto até 16.30 e chegamos 17.20. Quase perdemos o embarque. Foi uma correria

- Karlis (5/5): Old and not renovated hotel with no attention to details - Location is excellent. Everything around is walking distance. Nearby tram can get you also outside old tow area. I liked gym. Even if it is small, it still looks quite fresh and has everything for intermediate fitness activities. Food was ok but not heated well and became cold in 5 mins. The hotel interior and furniture appear to be from Ottoman times — not in a historical or charming way, but simply old, unrenovated, dusty, and worn out. We were disappointed the moment we arrived. I even reopened the room photos to check whether I had selected the correct room, because what we received looked nothing like the pictures. The rooms have clearly not been renovated for at least 15–20 years. The photos online are heavily overexposed or seem to have been taken decades ago to make everything look brighter and cleaner. In reality, the brightness of both rooms and hallways is at least 40% lower than shown in the photos. Noise insulation is one of the worst I’ve experienced. The windows are extremely thin — you hear absolutely everything from the street, with almost no difference between having the window open or closed. I strongly advise against choosing a “city view” room unless you want constant noise. The room doors also provide almost no sound insulation; even bathroom doors block more noise. You can hear water flowing through the sewage pipes and even your neighbors showering. As for the “city view,” it might only be worth it from the 5th floor or higher. Otherwise, the view is mostly of old, poorly maintained buildings, which I would not call a real city view. The internet is a disaster: 2–3 Mbps at best, with frequent disconnects. Reception repeatedly said that “IT will check,” but nothing ever changed. The dishes and tableware at breakfast were unacceptable. Every morning I had to search for clean plates. They seem to rinse dishes with cold water rather than properly wash them. Many plates still had food particles from previous guests. I often had to go through 5–8 plates just to find a clean one. Be aware that the gym and spa are only available from 10:00 to 22:00. Finally, the hotel replies to every review with the same generic statement — “we strive to improve our services” — yet nothing actually improves. These issues remained the same.

La amabilidad de la recepción deja mucho que desear, educados pero muy secos. La tarjeta de la habitación, se desconectaba casi todos los días, y había que volver a recepción para ajustarla. Algunas toallas, deshilachadas, para tirarlas. Y el spa, es la mínima expresión, a no ser que pagues. Pagamos un extra por vistas al Bosforo, pero las vistas eran mínimas, casi de lado.

- Winter (8/5): “Top Location, Top Breakfast, Questionable Key Cards 😄” - Our stay at the Legacy Ottoman Hotel was fantastic from start to finish. We stayed in a Junior Suite, which was incredibly spacious and offered stunning views overlooking the hills dotted with beautiful mosques — a truly memorable sight to wake up to each day. A special mention goes to Nadeem and Salma, who were both exceptionally attentive and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. Their service made a real difference and added a personal touch that we really appreciated. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with plenty of variety and quality options to start the day right. The hotel’s location is also a huge advantage — it’s close to everything, and we were able to walk to all the major attractions with ease. This was especially welcome given how much amazing food we were enjoying at the many great restaurants nearby! Overall, a brilliant stay in a beautiful hotel with outstanding service and an unbeatable location. Highly recommended. While we had a generally pleasant stay at the Legacy Ottoman Hotel, there were a few minor issues that, while not deal-breakers, did become a bit frustrating over time. One of the main annoyances was the room key card system. Each time you pass through the security gate at the entrance, it can deactivate your card, which then won’t let you back into your room. This meant multiple trips to reception just to get it reactivated, which quickly became inconvenient. The building itself is quite old, as it is government-owned, and while it is still maintained to a good standard, you can definitely feel its age in certain areas. We were informed that renovations are planned in the next couple of years, which will likely make a big difference. Overall, these issues were relatively minor, but worth noting for future guests so they know what to expect. The hotel is still comfortable and well-kept, but a few operational improvements would go a long way in enhancing the overall experience.

- Alexandre (6/5): Un hotel correcte mais certainement pas haut de gamme - L'hotel est trés bien situé, proche du grand bazar, de la citerne et de differentes mosquée et des departs des ferry. De plus le quartier est assez vivant avec une bonne offre de restauration. Le personnel de l'hotel est serviable. Enfin l'hotel est equipé d'un spa / hammam. Cerise sur le gateau, c'est un beau batiment tant à l'interieur qu'à l'exterieur. L'établissement se positionne comme un 5 étoiles, mais à part l'effet waouh; on se rend rapidement compte qu'il n'est pas au niveau: la climatisation était en panne, les chambres sont vieillissantes et mal isolées phoniquement ( coté atrium le son resonne et donc on entends du bruit jusque parfois 1h du matin), et le matin vers 7h on entend le personnel qui s'active ( et les notifications des sms dans le couloir...). La piscine est franchement froide et le bassin trop petit pour nager. Coté restaurant, c'était plutot bon, mais le service est à revoir (on m'a servi l'entrée et le plat en meme temps, malgré nos differentes demandes)

Reservamos con meses de antelación y conseguimos muy buen precio. Las habitaciones del hotel tienen 20 años y se empieza a notar.

Location - it is amazing, best one, close to everything, walking distance from main attractions, surrounded by lots of restaurants, small shops, coffee shops. Second thing is that they provided an upgrade. I complained about bad in the first room, and they immediately reacted, and instead providing same quality of room, they gave us junior suite. Hotel is definitely due for upgrade and renovation. Furniture is very old, used, and poor quality. Dont understand logic behind rating it as 5-star hotel. Only two elevators, and very slow. Windows are not good, we felt cold, specially in the bathroom. Jacuzzi wasn't working. I needed to call reception and asked all the time for hand soap, vanity kit, iron, as it was not provided in the room. Curtains are dirty and washed-out. Overall it is overpriced for the quality and service they provide.

- David (5/5): This is not a property deserving five stars. - Breakfast was fine, seafood restaurant was very good. Staff were friendly enough. They responded quickly to expressed concern. The hotel is run down. The pool is basically a cold plunge. Wall paper needs replacement- it looks dirty. The bathroom needs the caulking replaced - black mold.
