- Monique (6/5): Back to the 80's and the most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept on! - The room service was good. The main reason we didn't enjoy this hotel is because the bed was so hard that it felt like you were lying on a wooden plank. It was the firmest bed that we have ever slept on, and the worst sleep we have ever had. The hotel (generally) is really outdated, with heavy, polished dark timber panelled walls and low light interior. We felt like we were back in the 80's. The foyer is really large with no sofa's or seating, which made it look really sparse. The pool was not a pleasant space nor the gym. It's not a hotel I would visit again.

- Christopher (4/5): Good location, some staff made it uncomfortable - Bed was comfortable I just got a weird vibe from the staff, it felt like when I walked in I wasn’t supposed to be there. Felt like I wasn’t believed I had a booking even when I showed them it. Just felt a little bit strange.

- majid (5/5): One of the reason I stay always at The Emerald hotel the swimming pool so nice I use a lot - Breadsticks was good. Swimming pool was just perfect. WC had a big problem, it was not working at all. Plumbing came to fix it two times I could not sleep until 2:30am Two years a go WC of swimming pool had the same problem.

- sharinak (5/5): Do NOt trust concierge! - The views over the city were awesome. A tired old hotel and a hard mattress. I asked the concierge for a taxi to the airport, 30 min still waiting. The taxi dropped me off in the middle of nowhere and would not drive to the airport, so I had to order a Grab car. I missed my onward flight to New Zealand. The hotel left me feeling bitter.

- KWOK KAN (7/5): area is easier for traffic, but hotel is not back to condition since deteriorated about 10 years ago - The room was clean, but basically the same as 20 years ago, room may have been renovated but the power point and bath room feature were not up dated to meet the usage requirement. Little choice for breakfast. No power point near the bed side table. No standard face towel in bath room, just the small square towel usually for hand cleaning. No hanger by the wash basin for face towel. Only 2 free cloth hanger in the closet

- Calle (10/5): Emerald håller fortfarande stilen uppe - Emerald som är ca 30 år gammalt håller fortfarande stilen. Vi hade ett superior rum på 22 vån, stort rymligt med bra säng och en fin utsikt över staden. Vi bodde här i fyra nätter. Frukosten bestod av en buffé samt en "äggstation" där du kunde beställa. Vi som européer var nöjda med utbudet av frukosten. Swimmingpoolen på 15 våningen var uppskattad från oss. Hotellet ligger i ett område som är väldigt aktivt på kvällen. Många thai restauranger och fiskrestauranger som vänder sig till thailändare. Vi åt på flera, billigt och gott. Även många marknadsstånd. Ett välbesökt tempel ligger mellan tunnelbaneuppgångarna. Har man inte sett alla dessa ritualer så rekommenderar jag ett besök där. MTR station Huai Kwang ligger på gångavstånd, uppgång nr 3, är närmast hotellet. Vi åt i hotellets restaurang vid två tillfällen. Vi andra tillfället beställde jag in en biff som tyvärr var väldigt senig och seg. Påtalade detta och fick möjlighet att få en ny. Jag valde istället en fläskkotlett eftersom det köttet är mindre senigt. Jag fick en tjock mycket torr fläskkotlett. Påtalade igen att denna köttbit inte höll måttet. Då blev svaret "sorry sorry". Vi åt inte mer på restaurangen, vet inte om det var otur 2 gånger eller om kvalitén varierar?

- Oleg (6/5): Pleasant - Location This hotel is a smelly old shabby hole in need of renovation. The only plus is the location, but if you don't need it, then look elsewhere.
