Guest Reviews
- HAMUTAL (9/5): -
- Priscille (8/5): - Location is terrific No porter service available.
- Rosana (10/5): I hope to come back! - I had a wonderful stay at Courtyard by Marriott Ginza. The team was incredibly kind, warm, and attentive throughout my stay. I even forgot some valuable personal items, and they went above and beyond to help arrange sending them safely to a friend in Japan. Their care, honesty, and professionalism truly stood out and made a big impression on me. I am very grateful for their support and would absolutely love to stay here again.

- ALEJANDRO (10/5): - Todo exelente, ubicación, atención, seguridad, comodidad, procuraría mejorar opciones del desayuno
- RAJESH (8/5): Overall as pleasant experience at the hotel - It was a good experience. The staff is helpful and tried their best to please. However the English language skills could be improved especially since the hotel represents an American chain. Breakfast was adequate and filling. However unusually expensive which encourages people to explore other avenues which abound around the hotel. The Ginza was very close by and all the famous shops were a walking distance away. Also getting trains took a while getting used to for a novice but in a day or two we could get around rather easily. Getting a Suica card on arrival was rather helpful and helped paying for verytrain tickets , in taxis and in almost every shop. Easily rechargeable in any railway station. Worth getting one on arrival. Credit cards are also very helpful.

- Anil (2/5): Sad. Had to cancel stay very moment we checked in. - Rooms were very small. Access and rooms were too small for tall people like us.
- Katie (10/5): - The buffet is expensive but it’s really the only feasible dining option for breakfast. Very geared toward Asian cuisine but some options were avail for Americans. Rooms are VERY small but there to sight see so weren’t in room but to sleep.
- Munkhuu (8/5): Very good -
- John (10/5): Great stay! - Great hotel! Near so many shops and very easily accessible to the trains.

- Omar (8/5): Very good -
- Du Cam Ly (8/5): - All round good stay. Buffet breakfast included in room price is convenient and good value for money. House keeping was excellent, and the team on the 10th floor were very helpful, and always did a wonderful job. Only complaint is that when I was checking in, and asked for an additional night stay, the male desk clerk said I had to book through the 3rd party online provider I had booked with, and could not book at the desk with him. I knew he was just being lazy (which annoyed me a lot), so I just let it go, and came down the next morning to book an extra day with the lovely lady at the desk. Please Marriott, get rid of the lazy staff like this, they are not good for your business. He was middle aged Japanese man with mostly grey hair, and could have booked an extra night for me, but could not be bothered. I was the only person at reception at the time, so he cannot use being busy as an excuse. Apart from him our stay was very good :)
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yiwen (10/5): - Good location and friendly staff
- Dianna (10/5): - Great location and excellent staff! This was a wonderful home base in Tokyo-- close to the subway, safe, clean, and a beautiful room. The breakfast buffet was great and we had great meals each and every time we dined in-house. One of our favorite hotels in Tokyo!
- Emiliano (9/5): Superb -

- Uma (8/5): Good for those who have work in Ginza area, walking distance everywhere .. rooms are decent size for the area and good v - Location is perfect for Ginza area Service can be friendlier..
- Cindy (10/5): - The staff were very helpful as our flight was delayed getting there and ended up checking in at midnight. Staff was able to recommend great ramen place which opened til 4am!! Location also very convenient for shopping and getting around using the metro.
The staff were good in providing directions to places we wanted to visit (ie: restaurants, shopping....).
The 3 restaurants at the hotel were very nice. We tried only 2, ramen and sushi, and both were excellent!! We didn't get to try the beef place as lunch was only available Fri, Sat and Sun.
- Sachin (10/5): - Everything was top class!! Very clean, safe, in the heart of shopping district and close to subway.
- Jacinta (10/5): Exceptional - Staff were excellent! Restaurant was wonderful, food and service. Business service center better than most with the private rooms to do zoom calls with privacy.
- Ruby (10/5): Exceptional - The breakfast and location was excellent! Close to the train station. The amenities and hotel staff was also excellent. We will definitely stay there again when visiting Japan. We did not dislike anything. Everything was excellent!
- Peter (4/5): Disappointing - Absolutely not worth the money .
- Ernesto (9/5): Superb -
- Kasat (10/5): Exceptional - The property location is very convenient. Its very close to railway station and taxi are available easily. Staff at property are very helpful and attentive. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We are vegetarians and veg menu was a great relief. In room dining to be available all time and not only untill 11 in the night.
- Erreave26 (10/5): Exceptional - EXCELLENT LOCATION
VERY CLEAN HOTEL
DELICIOUS AND WIDE VARIETY BREAKFAST
- Erreave26 (10/5): Exceptional - EXCELLENT LOCATION
- Thomas (10/5): - Super solid value, well located
- David (8/5): Hotels.com reservation was in reliable - Booking was made thru Hotels.com but reservation was not in system. Fortunately hotel was able to accommodate us
- Perry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ben (9/5): Superb - Good location and comfortable room . The bar is close too early.
- Tao (10/5): The location of the hotel is perfect. The size of room is great, specially in Ginza. - The location of the hotel is perfect. The size of room is great Nothing
- Nicholas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anh (9/5): Superb -
- Clinton Chi Ngong (6/5): - Rooms were very out-dated. Need renovation. Everything seems to be back in the 80s and room and corridor smells funny
- ERIC (10/5): - Great location, and good service!
- Sukhbaatar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jeremy (4/5): Disappointing -
- Fong (9/5): Superb -
- Chiang (8/5): Very good - Location and price. But I booked this in June when Japan hasn't opened up The long bath is kind of old school anf frankly dangerous. Prefer just a shower
- Gökhan (6/5): Pleasant - The location is good, next to Ginza. The rooms need renovation. The bathroom is small and uncomfortable. There are better and cheaper hotels in Ginza
- Benny (8/5): Recommended hotel. - location is close to ginza shopping district. Easy to find restaurant or convenience stores. Pillow is not fluffy. amenities is not complete. No concierge desk or bell boy desk.
- Michiko (8/5): - The people were very friendly and I am satisfied with the food. Location is quite good for me. The bathroom sink was very low. But I will stay there again.
- Ami (8/5): - I loved everything about the hotel except, the window view was back of the hotel and the only thing I can see was the back of the tall building. I felt like I was in Manhattan.
- Shigeyuki (8/5): - The hotel itself was nice but because of the constructions that is going on next door caused a bit of noisy situation
- Daniel (10/5): A great place to stay in Tokyo! - Easy check-in, easy safe walk from train station, English friendly, great breakfast!!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The bed is super hard. Very old hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Location, Service and Comfort - Always amazing service, well maintained room, great location. This is one of a few that I consider as my base of operation while in Tokyo
- Verified traveler (10/5): - great location, nice frontdesk staff and F&B staff
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I specifically chose this Courtyard-Marriott Hotel because I am a member of the Marriott Chain and I was under the understanding that no matter how the booking was made, that I would get my rewards points.
I was totally disappointed to have learned when I checked out that this was not the case and that because I went thru expedia I would not receive membership points. Yet, when I arrived and checked in at the Hotel, I gave my membership number and they checked it properly and i was not told that I would not receive any credit reward points. So, staying in this highly expensive hotel for the value, considering that there were other much nicer and lower priced accommodations, i consider it to be a bad choice and one which I will not repeat during my next travels to Tokyo.
I hope you share this note with other so all can be alert of this total misalignment and what I consider to be a deceitful practice.
If I won't received rewards points, then tell the clients up front before the reservation is made, so other options can be considered.
Regards and thank you for the chance to express myself and provide feedback.

- Maria (10/5): - Great attitude of service showed by Restaurant “FIORE” Staff, Front desk very kind and helpful (well managed reservations at restaurants and cultural events (musical).
Our only issue was that 5th floor rooms are facing to a wall. We had our window facing a wall.
Many thanks!!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Do yourself a favor and spend an extra $50 and stay anywhere else. I stayed there my partner and we were so disappointed. We assumed we would be staying at a Marriot with the same comforts as a United States Marriot and we did not. The hotel itself is old and outdated, the hallways smelled terrible. Our room was spacious, the air conditioning didn’t work, the bathroom smelled like mildew, the shower curtain was beyond disgusting. The employees were very helpful and the buffet in the morning was the only positive thing about the entire experience. I will never stay here again.
- Sam (8/5): - Fantastic location and a very easy walk from the Higashi Ginza station. Getting there via train / subway from Narita or Haneda Airports is very easy. Rooms are typically small for a Japanese hotel but very functional.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Rooms not hallways not the cleanest. More like a 2 star hotel. Staff are great and helpful.
- Luisito (8/5): A nice week long stay - convenient and accessible - The hotel is perfectly situated. I just wish that all their rooms would have an automatic free breakfast buffet. My hotel room is WAY too small. Its 13.3 square meters. I did not really check the size of the room when I was booking. Anyway the hotel is near the places I need to go to in Ginza. Though the hotel itself has the vibe of being a little on the older side, there is some construction beside it that may be an extension of this hotel. So a lot of things to look forward to with regards to this hotel. But all in all I'm happy with my stay in spite of the size of the room and bathroom. Though the rate can be friendlier like other hotels in the area, the location is quite convenient. The hotel staff was quite helpful and knowledgeable of English. This makes up for everything that the hotel lacks. Kudos to the people!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The high level of customer service. Lobby seats and also decor
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location, good service, WiFi and breakfast were nice. Not sure why Marriott pricing is so outrageous compared to Expedia!
- Felix (10/5): - Staff and food were exceptional, the location had easy access to transportation and shopping venues.
- Vijay (10/5): Vijay168 - I have only good things to say about our stay at Courtyard Marriott at Ginza. The only improvement would be a bar with better bar food (little tasty bites).
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location in Ginza. Close to shopping and great restaurants!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Breakfast buffet is fabulous. Staff is friendly and helpful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Everything was great, including the buffet breakfast.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The room I was given was tiny. I compared it to a colleague's room, which ws twice as large.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Apart from the staff, who were very accommodating, I felt the property is in desperate need of a refurbishment.
My first room was 11sqm, for JPY24000/night! I asked to change and was charged JPY5000/night extra which I paid because there was just no room.
My room was 21sq meter which was a better size. But because it was so old, it felt dirty and the plugs were exposed behind the bedhead and didn't work. There is no USB port in the room or the TV, so I had to go buy an adapter.
- Korbchol (10/5): Definitely come back again - We arrived at the hotel about 4 hours before check-in time. So we left our baggages at the concierge and went out for lunch and some shopping. When we returned, all our six baggages had already been sent to our rooms. That exceeded our expections! Great services. Great hospitality.
Good service mind.
- Joe (10/5): - This Marriott hotel gave my family a great experience and location. The staff were always willing to help which made our stay that much more relaxing and enjoyable. The only negative I have is the bathroom worked out but was a bit tight in comparison to other Marriotts.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Gym in Ginza! - Small room, a single. But that is typical in Japan. Everything was fine. And how great to have a gym!
- Wilson (8/5): Great location! - Very conveniently located hotel near the subway, shopping, and sites like Kabukiza. The breakfast was excellent as was the service. The room was small but clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend for business due to great location.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nothing particular. good service, good location, good everything
- Verified traveler (10/5): - First time staying here. The room at the top floor. A little small, but very nice and clean. Walking distance to everything in Ginza and Tsukiji. Will stay again.
- Nuttakorn (10/5): - Hotel wasp-acted in good location very closed to Ginza six. Located in the center area for Ginza. The Hotel staff very helpful for recommend, and make a restaurant' s reservation.
- Rebecca (10/5): Perfect location and wonderful, friendly staff - Location was fantastic, in the heart of Ginza, very close to Ginza Six. The staff were very helpful, helped me mail a package and several letters and postcards. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was nice, and they even had some gluten free bread, which I appreciated. Also the hairbrush they included with the toiletries was the best!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Perhaps it was high time during our stay, there were limited rooms available so we ended up paying a lot for their smallest room. Gentleman at the front desk seemed like he was having a bad day. No eye contact, not smiling and not keen on helping out. Other than that, hotel is located in a prime location and the rooms were very clean.
- Chi Keung Frederick (8/5): Will Stay Again ! - Good hotel for business trip, location is very convenient for meeting in downtown Tokyo.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location, extremely friendly staff. Excellent amenities
- Kevin (10/5): Great for business in Tokyo! - great staff and superb location
- ROBERT (6/5): - Rooms were smaller than normal for this price range.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The location is perfect in Ginza. Rooms are small but very clean and have lots of nice amenities.
- sharon (10/5): Amazing Stay! - Location was fantastic!!! Breakfast was superb. Service was also very good
- Joe (10/5): - The property is well located and although the physical infrastructure and rooms are a bit dated the level service I received made up for it. In particular I appreciated that they accommodated a very early check-in for me. As well, I tried to use the gym one morning but the door was broken and my card wouldn't scan and nor would the cards of the bell staff. There was a French bellman who took me through the back way reserved for staff use which recognize isn't per usual operational procedures, but by slightly bending the rules he allowed me to get my workout in rather than turning me away after my repeated attempts to access. Overall a pleasant stay.
- Dmitrii (10/5): Excellent hotel in its class - Great hotel! Very nice location, very clean, excellent breakfast. Stayed here many times.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good business hotel - Booked room last minute for a 1 night stay. Not the most spacious room, but looks clean and hotel has a good location in shopping area. Will probably book again for future business trips.
- Carlos (6/5): Good hotel for the price - The food was not very good the hotel itself was ok.
- Hor See (10/5): I like it - Near the center Ginza and walkable to shinbashi or yurakucho JR yamanote line. The best thing about the hotel is probably the service. People also speak very good service
- Ian (10/5): 4.5 stars, would do it differently next time - This is a great place, however unless you are really set on staying directly in the Ginza area - there are cheaper options that are just as good. This place is amazing though for what it is. Personally, I would stay around the Asakusa area and just metro it into the Ginza area.
- Sarah (10/5): - Great location and friendly staff! Staff has no problem speaking English :)
