Jihan (6/5): - This property is in an excellent location, surrounded by various restaurants and walking distance to the metro station. The Mall of Emirates is either a 20 min walk or one metro stop. The most positive review goes to the hotel staff. All the staff are extremely helpful, efficient and do go out of their way to make sure customers' are comfortable . However there are issues with the hotel. Every Friday evening the hotel hosts a party on the first floor and the noise travels to the guestroom making it difficult to rest or sleep. The bathtubs and bathroom doors are worn out and has got rusts and stains. When I walk down the corridor and in my room the vents constantly gave out a malodourous himid scent which was unpleasant and I had to open the windows.

Just one station away from Mall of Emirates Staff & Service: Quick to response, good service & always ready to help Shuttle: Not many hotels have this service. They have a shuttle service to "The Beach JBR" & The Outlet Mall. Breakfast: Lots of options in breakfast, food is good. Improvements: The need some renovation, as the hotel is quite old. Cleanliness can be better.
jacqueline (2/5): Needs a Major Renovation - The staff at the front desk are lovely. HOWEVER...bathroom sink leaks. Ceiling light leaks. Mould in tub. The bed is like a rock. The SMELL of Smoke coming from the man next door was like no other. I had to leave hotel by 7am. I wanted to be sick. This is not for a family. It needs a full renovation and NON SMOKING means NON SMOKING...you can't let people do whatever they want.

The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Especially Avneet from their room service team. However, they can improve on a few areas such as cleanliness and amenities. They aren't bad, but not of the 4* standard I'd say.

The case was started investigating and yet no update was provided in the later even i checkout. Its budget hotel and metro in near walk able 5-10 minutes. this is the only hotel i have lost anything entire my life.

Housekeeping was pathetic .. it took them an hr to provide dental kit and 45 mins to provide a bottle of water. The hotel took a deposit of 300 AED on my card which so far not been refunded Overall a really bad hotel and pathetic experience. 0/10 rating.

Breakfast nothing special and problems with colleagues being charged for it when reservation stated included. Long discussions to have it removed. Never again.

Disappointed since the travel agent Expedia fall to provide a 4* accommodation as promised. Recommendation: The breakgast needs to be more professional chef. The rooms needs maintenance. Old carpets ,& wall stained. Needs a full redecorating Bath room broken under sink. Was pleased in a smoking room. The staff were kind and helpful - changed room to non- smoking. This is a 2 * hotel. Not a 4* as promised by Expedia. Not worth the price I payed over £125. per night. I was disappointed but made my stay a happy & pleasant one.
MOITHERI (8/5): Friendly staff - What was not good is that the hotel is advertising lies saying they offer free shuttle to and from the airport of which is not true, when we wanted the shuttle to the airport we were told that we need to pay 170dhs for it. The hotel is old but the staff is nice they always gave us a good service. The breakfast is the same everyday and limited.

Verified traveler (6/5): Convenient location and value for money. - This hotel, certainly at the rate I paid, represents fantastic value for money for a convenience one night stay. The room was mainly clean and well presented. The staff were all universally friendly, pleasant and efficient. In this area I can't imagine a better choice in terms of value for money. The hotel is within walking distance of the metro and there is enough shade for this to be done even in early summer months. Taxis are easy to find outside. There is also free underground parking, but the entrance is not easy to spot as it is not well signed at the road. The breakfast was standard for the UAE in this type of hotel, but certainly not bad. Service was friendly and the food fresh. My only complaint is that I requested a non-smoking room and, although there was a small plastic sign on the table in the room to identify the room as such, the room smelled very much of stale cigarette smoke. So much so that my shirt left to hang over night smelled of smoke when I put it on in the morning. Not sure whether this was smells through the AC or older usage of the room, but this would prevent me as a 'never-smoker' staying longer.

HN (8/5): Satisfying and comfortable stay - My stay was a comfortable one. The staff was cooperative and room service was prompt and thorough. The hotel had good amenities as well. The location was a quiet and peaceful one and it was close to the Mall of Emirates. I had to stay in a smoking room on the first night, because we were told a non-smoking room was unavailable. However, the next day we were moved to a non-smoking room. The internet situation was not so good, because it was very difficult to sign in to the wireless network on the laptop and we were offered very limited download limit with an extra charge on more usage. There was also a $100 USD deposit which we had to make at check-in, which is unusual for a hotel like this (we weren't even informed of this beforehand). The bathroom had a leaky tap near the toilet, but it was fixed quickly. Aside from this, the rest of the stay was comfortable and I would stay there again.

Brandy (2/5): Hotel is Trash - When i arrived the receptionist gave me a hard time about checking in. Staff at this hotel was very rude and not helpful at all, when trying to ask them questions they get very short tempered and raises their voices at you. When i called for the manager the receptionist spoke to him on the phone he did not come out to speak with me the first time i had a complaint about how i was being treated. When i finally had a chance to speak with him all i got was a rude and nasty attitude. I was expecting to be able to use the pool but it was not available. The internet at this place is horrible and the channels were terrible as well. They charge you for ice10 AED which should be free and upon checking out the receptionist at the front desk tried to cheat me out of money and when i told him he did not give me the right change, he began to yell at me telling me i stole from the mini bar when i paid it already with the 500 AED deposit i made and i was made to pay 29 AED more so basically i was robbed and i would like expedia to get my money back or at least get me some free nights at a better hotel to make up for this horrible experiance
elhadi (6/5): Good hotel with substandard breakfast - Arrived before checking in time and sat at reception with my eyes closed, a security tapped my shoulder "you can't sleep her". Was chocked but the front office manager apologise and was swiftly checked in.

Cristina (2/5): Golden Tulip is a Golden Disappointment! - When I first arrived, the receptionist could not tell me why she needed 500 AED from me. I was confused since I had paid my entire bill online. I had to ask her 3 times. She finally informed me that it was for the bar in the room. I had to give them 500 AED for a deposit on liquor and I do not even drink! I woke up at night so many times. The AC was so noisy and I could not sleep . I left for the day and when I returned at night, my hotel was not cleaned. The bed was not made and the towels were still on the floor. Free WiFi?? Not so fast. You only get 500 mb per day. Oh how they failed to tell me that! The front desk receptionist told me I could go to the restaurant on the 1st floor to get free Wi-Fi. I went and could not get access. When I came back down to tell her she rolled her eyes at me and said there was nothing she could do! I finally had enough and asked to talk to the manager. He offered me a free glass of wine, but I do not drink!

Verified traveler (6/5): A 4 star hotel that requires a 100$ deposit - After paying the hotel rate fully during checkin they asked for a 100$ deposit. You can expect this from a cheap motel or when renting an apartment but not from a 4 star hotel. The location was good though

Mario (8/5): Comfortable as home - I have stayed at your hotel several times and love it; however, this time I was not happy. I happen to know your staff very well and they me feel at home. I invited one of my friends one your house keeping crew to come and say hello although he was working in a different floor. He told me that the rules required that he not visit any room. Needless to day I insisted and he came by one morning to say hello and catch up since my last visit. he was very frighten that he would get reprimanded. I hope this wasn't the case as I call the manager to let him know that It was my fault and no blame should be put on him. Please keep up the friendly atmosphere and let your hotel crew make everyone feel at home.
Asim (4/5): You can find a better place than this - The hotel on the whole is OK. Nice and pleasant staff. The problems: 1. Free wifi means you can browse, anything else pay 65SAR extra / day 2. By mistake I booked for one person w/breakfast, Had I booked for 2 it would have been 25SAR extra, They wanted 75 more, finally negotiated to 50 extra per day 3. Old establishment, had slightly moldy smell in room Certainly you can find better place for SAR 550 per day in dubai

Danny (6/5): Nice Hotel - Nice Hotel . good location in Barsha. the only problem is that is it noisy, with 2 night clubs in the lobby and the lobby is open to all floors, ever time they open the club doors , you can hear the loud music. lower floor are more noisy.

Ray Issa (10/5): best choice - The hotel is more than excelant starting from the very helpful stuf on the reciption to the lovely clean room and . every thing is great all what you need in the room even the irony table. The location of the hotel is the best thing 250m from the metro station and one station to Emirate mall and every thing is closed 38 minute to DXB airport by metro many shops and restaurant around 3 minute walk. I will chose this hotel again and again .
Yazin (10/5): Spotless rooms, great staff & next to the Metro! - I love staying at this hotel! Pros: - The rooms are spotless! I mean, they are ridiculously clean .. I'm abit of a germophobe, so cleanliness ranks really high on my list. - Wifi is great! Good speed (I do alot of my work on the laptop, so this one's important too) - Very close to the Sharaf DG metro station (just a five minute walk) .. also restaurants and grocery shops are very close by.. - The staff are always smiling, and are really friendly. Never had issues with them .. and they even bring you a glass of juice at the reception (it's the little things :) Cons: - Not really a con, but the breakfast - while good - is somewhat limited. Maybe have a chef that does eggs?

Saudi Visitor (10/5): Great Package - Very good deal as a price...convenient location to metro station....nice breakfast...comfy beds...clean rooms....helpful reception staff...took some time to check-in (15 mins) but was well received with warm towels and refreshing drinks...spa was very expensive and not worth it...
manishd (8/5): Gold Tulip in Barsha, Dubai - There are many 4* hotel in Al Barsha, Dubai but Golden Tulip has good reputation among many of them. The stay certainly lived up to their reputation. Metro station is 250 mtrs away which can't get any closer. Buffet Breakfast is nice and Room condition is good as well. Overall good stay

caitysue42 (8/5): Long layover stay - Had a long layover in Dubai and picked this hotel. Probably could have picked a hotel closer to the airport. Seemed to be in a good neighborhood and was very clean. Greeted with a nice drink when I arrived. Room was very clean and there is free wifi (that's not readily advertised on the hotel website). If you get room service fish and chips, just know that you will be getting a ridiculous amount of food.
greg (8/5): Good Stay - Just stopped in for an overnight stay and have nice stay. Was allowed to checkout late due to late afternoon flight. Good place for a short stay.
Miss Ahmad (4/5): Not a decent place to stay with children - Very filthy condition such as carpets, furniture. Staff was ok but there were other things that bothered me. No Internet facility without charges even in lobby. One area was called "locker room" where there was free wifi from 2pm to 1am but that was a pub. Not suitable with little children at all.
Mike Snr (8/5): comfortable stop - This hotel was within walking distance to a major shopping centre which is where the hop on hop bus service operates. hence for our 4 day stay we enjoyed the hotel the bar and the free wifi from the bar at happy hour. we arrived at 7am and the room was ready by 8.30am! we enjoyed breakfast then had use of the room right after. This hotel also has a small roof swimming pool always welcome. we also enjoyed a late checkout at 12 noon. This hotel is also close to a train station on block away. to find this hotel would recommend travelling from the airport by taxi or private transfer which we did. Staff very helpful.
