• Daniel (6/5): - Very convenient location, very friendly staff but the room stunk especially in the morning due to the drains. Probably wouldn’t stay again unless in a pickle.
• Abi (4/5): - The property is in a good area and easy to access as it’s close to the station. Our room had a really horrible smell to it which I think the staff were aware of as every-time we came back to our room the window was open and there was a automatic squirting air freshener that went off all through the night. The walls are very thin, we could hear people in the room next door talking at 5am as if they were stood right outside our door. The pipes make awful noises all night and you can hear the street noise very loudly as the glass is only single glazed.

• Matthew (6/5): - Very old and dated hotel. Ideally suited for Hyde Park hence why we used it. For a one night stop over where you are spending minimum time in the room it's ok. Bed and hot shower the basics of what you need.

• Meg (4/5): Economy is about right - You get what you pay for… Light above the bed didn’t work, stains all over chair, shower had black mould, sticky bathroom floor. Easily the worst part was the night sleep, the floors are so creaky I was kept up until 3 am by various other rooms. Got 4 hours sleep and then reception wasn’t open on time so had wait longer to check out, luckily I had left more time before my train!

We expected 3 stars hotel as it but I think it’s poorer than motel in US. It’s not work as what we paid! Now we have to go pharmacy to buy anti cream for our huge red dots!!

• Amandeep (4/5): Wouldn't stay again. - A basic room. If you're just looking for a bed, it's an option. The toilet flush was broken, the sink is clogged, the beds are very uncomfortable (you can feel the springs), the bed sheets are old (they have bobbles). The room was clean but I would wipe down surfaces, yourself. The cleaner or one of the hotel staff came into our room around 9am (did not knock beforehand) to tell us we need to check out while we were still in bed and check out isn't until 11am. There is an available iron if you need it but it cannot be used in your room. Stairs are like standard house stairs so keep that in mind when thinking about what luggage you will have. However, it's so close to Oxford Circus, Edgware Rd, Hyde Park and Marble Arch. Saying this, i would spend another £50-70 per night and stay elsewhere
• Shah MD (2/5): - Worst hotel I stayed in my life so far. Avoid this hotel by all means. The window doesn’t close properly and i was shivering in cold. They don’t turn on the heat until 3pm. I have cold and flu by staying there. Also a bad headache. Ruined my trip to the UK! AVOID AVOID AVOID!

• Nicholas (4/5): Not great - Exceelwnt members of staff but hotel barely a step above hostel. Cheap stay but not great. Smelt of old stale tabacco, multiple burns in carpet, really thin walls, but at least i know the people next door had fun. Tv control didnt work, wifi decided which device it was working on, never worked on my laptop and occasionally on my phone. Felt like a halfway house with the metal door tgat closed over reception. Not great.

• Ryan James (6/5): Please hear this out. - I was delighted to have been told that I did not need to share toilet as the booking was a deluxe room. However, I think the sheets being reused as well as the duvet covers and pillow cases. The most disgusting part was when I found 2 bed bugs on the single bed. I told reception and was reassured that it will be escalated. Kindly make sure you have followed the standard of cleanliness especially we just got out from pandemic and flu season is around the corner as well as the bed bug issues in London.

• Lesley-Ann (4/5): - This property is in a great location, however the internet is inadequate and the toilets do not work well. The rooms are small but this is expected in a lot of old hotels. We also had to wait quite a long time for reception to open when we arrived and had no means of communicating with anyone. They left a phone number to call which we could not use since we had no phone plans. A simple sign like ‘back in 10 minutes’ could help!

If you are picky and want a modern hotel its not the place for you, but if you just need it for sleeping and roaming around its great.

• THOMAS (6/5): Location good hotel v bad - Location good, shower not in room, down weird corridor to bathroom with lots of shampoo bottles etc, shower head broken, just came off. Room nice size, quiet, tv kettle. Room dirty, carpet filthy, really bad. This one should be off the list until OYO based in India do some maintenance, new carpets, showers. Atrocious never again dont go!!! Receptionist was the moodiest one ever like a comedy sketch she had such a bad attitude and chip on her should that it was funny.

I couldn’t stay in my room so he moved me to a freshly cleaned room for one hour. Really helpful and charged me nothing. Most hotels in the world over could learn something from this man: help customers in whatever way you can, don’t charge them unnecessary and they come back, tell their friends and write good reviews! • Andrew (8/5): A comfortable short stay. - For a short stay in central London, this is really good. The gentleman on reception was friendly. I found there was no TV remote control in my room, and he went straight away to fix the issue, bought new batteries and came to my room in minutes with a control. Great service. My bed was comfortable, and I slept well. A shared toilet between floors is a bit of an out of date thing, but the room had a shower, and was basin, so it's not all negative. No breakfast was seen, but there are plenty of very nice cafés around the hotel. For a short stay, it's a very good choice.
• Kamil (2/5): Scam - Arrived tired. Lady at the reception asked me fill up the check in form just to tell me there's no room available for my booking. I've been left helpless with no place to sleep! Tried to contact OYO helpline with result. Booking another hotel in a rush and paid fortune. Next day i found out that I've been checked in anyway in that hotel! This is a fraud and it will be reported!

There was a shower cabinet in the middle of the room, but towels were not to be seen. I could hear the people in the next room talk. I will not go there again

• G (2/5): Look elsewhere. A reason it is so cheap. - I had a cancelled show in London and asked if there was a chance of transferring my stay. They would not even entertain the idea. After a lot of calls to OYO helpline, who on either end of the call understood the language I done it through online chat. Was prepared to pay a penalty etc. I checked, plenty of room available. But a flat out no.

Breakfast delivered to room which consisted of 2 pieces of toast wrapped in serviette portion of butter and jam, so not even continental, we had a family room which was 7 flights of stairs up ,, glad we had no children with us . • Bronwynne (4/5): - The young lady who check us in was very helpful and courteous, unfortunately it went down hill from there. On our first stay there the room smelt musty and was very small. The bathroom was ok and the shower hot. The bed was old and very lumpy making sleeping uncomfortable the pillows were old and flat. We both got up the next morning feeling like we had not slept. the 2nd visit was in a room with single beds and there was not enough room to swing a cat. It was difficult to close the door and we had to wrestle our bags in a very confined space to close the door. The space was even less than the 1st room we had. There was a shower and the head of the shower would not go into the holder so it was hanging the whole we were showering. The room smelt musty and not well cleaned. We had to carry our bags up 4 flights of stairs and back down when checking out. The only good thing was it was not far from the pick up and drop off point of our tour. I don't recommend this place to anyone.

• Terry (6/5): Value and improving - This is a budget hotel and I was happy to accept all that that meant. Reviews I read told of a poor ,free, breakfast, that has been sorted. I had two rounds of hot toast, a bowl of cereal, orange juice, butter and jam all delivered to the door after I phoned reception and always with a smile. True, the toilet was a floor down but I had an excellent but small shower and towels provided. I think it would be good of the hotel to mention when booking the fact that it was a shared toilet as I only discovered this after completing my booking. Other reviewers mentioned hard use and lack of cleanliness and i agree but, you get what you pay for and this was great value.

Since the doors Are looked during the night the doorbell rings loud during the night when people trying to get back home. Small, old and seems dirty. If that is because of the standard or not I don’t really know, but it gives me the chills..

• Frederick (6/5): MARYLEBONE NOT QUITE MAYFAIR - London is a very difficult place to find a decent hotel at a reasonable price. For it's price range, Boston Court Hotel left a little to desire. Although our rooms were comfortable and clean, the re-fit of this old Victorian/Georgian Terrace was rather dated. It certainly could do with some upgrading. The only redeeming factors were the location and convenience.
• Verified traveler (4/5): Very dirty and unsuitable for small children - Disgustingly dirty room and definitely not suitable for families with small children. There were 66 steps up to the family room, with no lift. The windows were sash windows which were low down and therefore very dangerous for small children. The room was constantly hot, including the toilet cistern (and toilet water, for no apparent reason.) They included a desk fan but this did very little to help. Both the shower/ toilet room and bedroom were filthy; we found lots of long, thick black hairs all over and thick dust everywhere. The mattresses were full of black dots which could easily have been mould but I didn't investigate this too deeply for my own peace of mind. The staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast was surprisingly OK. Location is excellent- just round the corner from Edgware Road and Marble Arch. The road is very noisy, though which disturbed our sleep as we had to have the windows open all the time due to the excessive temperatures.

Previous guest's coffee cup, glass and sticky crap still on the table. Let alone their human waste in the bathroom. I left early without even bothering to ask for a refund.
• Pierre (2/5): You Get What You Pay For - I was given one of the front facing rooms which has balcony railings outside the window with coloured flashing lights. In the daytime you don't notice them but when I went to sleep after midnight you certainly do! The light comes around the edge of the thick curtains and flashes at a random speed lighting up your dark room which was really annoying. I just couldn't get to sleep for hours. The reception was closed with shutters down and these lights were driving me mad as I had to work the next day and was getting very tired. In the morning I complained to the manager who was really unsympathetic because the room was so cheap. Told me where the hidden switch was to turn lights off (bit late now). He finally agreed on a partial refund (which I thought was fair) but then changed his mind when Hotels.com called him (but Hotels.com gave it anyway (thanks)). Also breakfast is a mini box of cereal and skimmed milk (well it was cheap!) so do yourself a favour and get something decent on Edgeware Road around the corner! Room v small but just about OK, although had to go up stairs to use shared toilet and wifi didn't work for me. You can also hear the traffic from the main road at night (but then again you are in London!) Yes it was cheap but there are others of a similar price too.
• Peter (2/5): Good price and central location, odd checkin - Great location at the price, and I mean really good. Superb value if all you are after is a crash pad. However, reception tried to take money off me again when I was pre-paid through expedia, and struggled to find my booking. That said, I was given a better room than I booked so made up for the confusion. The triple room was spacious, but the bathroom had a bit of smell about it, and while there were three cups with teabags and milk, no kettle! Room was also little cold and had to rearrange the beds to get to the heating controls, while the single glazing made for a noisy evening through to midnight.

Although breakfast included it was not available before 8am... I had to leave at 7.40 each morning and notice informing guests"only after" 8am. Location great, room clean and tidy and great places to eat within walking distance. Yes, I would book here again.

• Mohammad (8/5): Nice hotel with great location - Great location with nice people at reception. Good condition of room with hitting. Missed liquid hand wash as they only provide soap. Feel safe and secured while we stayed the hotel.

• Guillermo (2/5): dirty it is no way 3 stars! we are angry! - bathroom too small dirty we stayed 2 nights and asked for get it cleaned and never did.no brkfast included thats a lie. theres no even a dinningroom. the recepcionist welcomed us in pijamas. never gave is back 10 euros we gave in garantee for a convertor. just because is London they can charge whatever they want for a bad place like this. Not fair that expedia offers these kind of places and not aware of the real thing. mosquitos stung all night.

• Roger (4/5): Great location. Not a great room. - The only thing good about the hotel is its location, so for the money it's probably no surprise that the room was n't great.
• Verified traveler (2/5): Don't ever stay here - Room was not clean never felt clean. Bathroom was very dirty hair everywhere. Shower didn't work well and the water smelled. When we got up one morning there were 8 people randoming laying in the hall by the front door. Reception didn't open until after 8.
• Diane (6/5): cheap and cheerful - Booked this hotel last minute as we (3 adults) were going to a concert in Hyde Park. We paid only £43 each for a triple room with en suite shower room, a single bed and a double bed, with breakfast. Great location, Oxford Street, Marble arch tube etc minutes walk. We didn't expect much but for one night it was fine. Toast with Jam and OJ were brought to the room for breakfast. To be honest, it was a bit cramped for 3 of us, tired old decor, beds not the best, was fairly clean, girl on reception very pleasant. For £43 per person for one night it was what we paid for.... we would stay again if we were on a budget.
