- Egor (10/5): Great place to stay when travelling with a family - Amazing price-value ratio. Got a family room which is very spacious and has a separate small room for kids, I'd say it's enough to accommodate up to 5 persons. We had a view on the forest so it was quiet. Worth mentioning that housekeeping is wonderful, the room is clean and even tea/water was refilled daily. Staff is friendly, breakfast is OK considering the price (~7 EUR per person for buffet), even proper coffee machine is there. Sandwiches in the fridge next to reception are good. A few cons: - while you have a couple hyper- and supermarkets nearby, a few restaurants/cafe/fast food places, the restaurant in the hotel is only open till 4pm, so finding a place to eat after that time is a bit tricky (unless you're OK with a food court in a shopping mall in the next building) - the forest is close and is a nice place to walk, but the highway is on the other side with no ground-level crossing (going into underground one with a stroller is unforgettable experience) - bus stop is somewhat close, but expect traffic jams and fully loaded express bus route (some routes are less packed); walking to a metro (or MCC) station is difficult because of the bridges, construction sites and distance. We tried it once, but used the buses instead after - everyone who tried breakfast complained about egg quality -- probably it's better to change a supplier

- Saif (6/5): Decent hotel for 1-2 night stay - Decent hotel for a budget stay. Room A/C did not work, but for the price, we cannot complain. Staff was very helpful. Hotel close to bus station from which you can reach metro in 20 minutes.
- Leonid (8/5): Грязно, не понравилось! - Много раз уже останавливаемся именно в этом отеле. К сожалению, нужно искать другой. Обслуживание вежливое, но мнения и пожелания наши никому неинтересны. Просили номер подальше от лифта и ресторанных вытяжек (мешают гулом ночью спать), получили номер рядом с лифтом и рестораном. Огорчила очень плохая уборка в номере. На раковине засохшая грязь, ванна не моется никогда, валяются волосы, занавеска ванны вообще как с помойки - страшно прикоснуться. Чашки грязные, бар пустой, пятна на матрасе, ну и шумный номер - хотя просили лично потише. Парковка платная -200 руб. Отель старый, нуждается в капитальном ремонте номеров и смене оборудования. Жаль - местоположение для нас очень удобное, но санитарное состояние очень неприятно.

- Evgeniy (8/5): Приезжайте в отель Максима Славия! - Первый раз я остановился в гостинице Максима Славия в 2010 году, подходы к самой гостинице были закрыты и повсюду велись строительные работы по расширению шоссе. Со временем все обустроилось и идти от остановки до гостиницы стало более комфортно. Не смотри на три звезды, в отеле очень чисто, уютно, а особенно белоснежное постельное белье. Приветливый и всенающий пресонал гостиницы всегда помогут найти нужное место в Москве. Евгений

- Girish (8/5): - Rooms are neat and clean. The staff is also polite and co-operative. The location is close to Nash Supermarket which was very useful for our stay. The charging ports are slightly difficult to manage with.

- Patrick (10/5): Excellent hotel for price - No complaints about this hotel. High-end hotels are expensive in Moscow, and hotels like the Slavia are more affordable but comfortable alternatives. Rooms are simple but functional and reasonably up to date, clean and quiet. The rooms facing West experience traffic noise from busy Yaroslavskoye Chausse, but the noise-proof window blocks it out almost completely. The bed was very comfortable, neither too soft nor too hard. Staff were extremely friendly, and the cute girls at reception spoke English well. (Just remember that you're in Europe, not Oklahoma, so if you treat employees in a rude or arrogant way they will not keep smiling no matter what.) Wi-fi worked well. Drawback for the average tourist may be the location of the hotel, which is far from the center, and you will need to take a bus to get to the nearest metro station (VDNKh). The hotel runs a free shuttle there that takes about 12 minutes, unfortunately at the time of writing it only ran every 1.5 hours and only until 6pm. There is however a convenient bus connection on the other side of Yaroslavskoye across from the supermarket a bit to the North, several lines, which get you there almost as quickly and cost 35 roubles. From VDNKh, itself an interesting destination, the metro takes about 25 minutes to the centre.
- jackson76wj (6/5): reasonable, but very far - The hotel provided an affordable and comfortable place to stay in Moscow, but it is very far from the center of town. Its also far from the nearest metro station, so you have take the shuttle bus (not really frequent) and on weekends you take 172 bus or 76 trolley to Shokla station.
- Emma L. (4/5): Major Problems Getting to and from Hotel to Metro - The staff were friendly enough, and spoke enough English when my rudimentary Russian fell through. Breakfast was good. The major problem is with the unreliable shuttle service. Staff did not inform guests of a changed pick-up for the shuttle outside the metro. The day after, shuttle service was suspended entirely due to “technical difficulties” -- and this with two hour notice. I ended up walking 7 km from the metro one evening because the very bitter bus driver wouldn’t let me on with two suitcases. You really shouldn’t stay here unless you have a CAR in Moscow. The shuttle as I said is unreliable, and all but one of the bus drivers on this route was very hostile to tourists-- even if you can speak enough Russian to buy your ticket, and even if you’re not dragging bags. The city view was nice, and the “ruble machine” in the lobby was very good to have.
- mohamed (8/5): Good room. They will not go out of way for you - good room . good breakfast good wifi. Reception people are like robots. no such thing as going out of their way for you if there is a problem. you get room and no help after that
- Verified traveler (6/5): Reasonable business hotel - The hotel is a lightly renovated leftover from the Soviet era. Rooms are somewhat small compared with USA hotels, but everything is clean (no noticeable smells, stains, etc) and comfortable. Room temperature was good in February (10F outside), but was too hot for my taste in May (92F outside) - air conditioning was barely coping with the heat. Do not expect to find good food/drinks in the hotel - you'll have to go out for that. Due to the hotel location, expect either to use a Taxi (I used a mobile app "Yandex Taxi" and never had to wait more than 15 minutes to get a car) or get a rental car. Hotel located 300ft away from one of the Moscow's arterial roads, leading directly to the city center. Overall I would recommend this hotel to a price-concious traveler who is OK with limited services and travel-by-car location.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Comfortable enough for a one or two night stay. - It was clean and comfortable. There are no No Smoking rooms. The room smelled pretty heavily of cigarette smoke. The staff was friendly and spoke some English. The hotel was several miles from where the rest of my family was staying with friends. Continental breakfast was not the best, but was okay, not the worst either. The free shuttle only will take you to one place- a metro stop.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Getting worse - I stayed 4 times before at this hotel but this time the service was terrible. First of all, I did not get the room that I booked. Because they did not have available room for me. Then, I was told that they would change next day but they did not. Even though, I booked better room for me than my secretary and I paid extra, she stayed larger room than me. Whatever room you book and you pay extra, they give you whatever they have. Secondly, they have a shuttle to metro at specific times. I was there at least 5 minutes before the leaving time, but I could not catch the shuttle. When I ask where the shuttle is, they told me left earlier because it was full. I was going to exhibition and I had loaded with catologues and documents. I ask for the taxi and they told me to wait at least 30 minutes. So, I had to walk with my loads and find taxi myself. Thirdly, my room was very small, especially the bathroom. You can not take a shower without the curtain touching on your body. Also, when you take shower, the water covers all over the places and no way to get out without stepping on water. I do not know, but I doubt, the management has been change and the new management is no good at all.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Most Excellent Service in Moscow - 15 minutes by bus to the Metro station, Next to a supermarket, and about 5 minutes from the movies. Several restaurants within close proximity. Also there was a wonderful restaurant in the hotel. All hotel members spoke multiple languages very well. They were quick to please. Any items I had an issue with were fixed in seconds. I Rate their service as First Class. The rooms are a bit small but they are comfortable. (Most rooms in Moscow will not be big. Just the way things are unless you get a suite. ) Free Internet :) I definitely recommend staying at this hotel. I want to be able to visit in the future. and I will most likely stay in this same hotel.
- Fuad (6/5): Nice but remote hotel - Good, quality hotel, friendly service, good value for money. The only drawback is the remote location. Not close to any metro or train station.
- Dale (8/5): Maxima Slavia - It's a bit far out from the city centre, but on week days they run a regular shuttle to and from the local Metro station. The Restaurant at the hotel was poor, very disappointing. There is a supermarket next door which is convenient, also has a MacDonalds. Not very much locally at all, but it doesn't take long to get to Moscow city centre.
- Richard (8/5): Handy to supermarket - Great supermarket next door. Bus 76 to the Metro then everything is reachable. Good breakfast, staff a little too anxious to take away dishes. I saw all the sites with reception giving me a metro map and telling me the stations I wanted. Why did the bathroom light always start so dim and gradually become brighter?
- Bill (8/5): Good quality business hotel - This hotel is 4 km from the nearest metro, and the free shuttle runs only a few times a day. After midnight it is very difficult to get back. But the hotel itself is good value - clean, friendly staff, excellent breakfast, convenient 24 hr cafe - the only problem was non-functioning air-conditioning in 38 degrees.

- Vadim (10/5): Built from scratch to Western standards of comfort and service - all you need for not much money. The only drawback is the location away from everything in a residential area: I am originally from Moscow so no problem here but for a foreigner who does not speak Russian -- either rely on taxis or figure out public transport. If you can do it (both are good options) it does not detract from the value of the place; on the contrary, if you want to see the real life of the city and do not care for tourist traps -- this is for you. Note that I am pretty picky, too: I use dot travel up to 80% on the job and really, really hate poor service.
