• angspar18 (10/5): Stay at Hotel Romanico Palace for an authentic Roman experiece - The hotel is beautifully decorated with curated local antiques as well as locally crafted furniture and painted by a Florentine artist. The rooms and bathrooms are large and bright.. The amazing location is a 5 minute walk to Borghese Park and the Via Veneto and about 20 minutes to the Spanish Steps. The staff is friendly, gracious and organized. Breakfast was amazing, the food and especially the view.

• Pierre-Paul (6/5): Séjour qui nous a coûté cher pour dormir. - - L’emplacement (entre 15 à 20 minutes du centre et des monuments principaux) ; - La literie ; - La majorité du personnel qui est souriant et disponible. - Le prix élevé pour accéder à la piscine (non compris dans le prix de la chambre) : du coup, pas de piscine durant le séjour alors que ça aurait fait énormément de bien aux jambes après nos nombreux kilomètres marchés la journée ; - Le petit déjeuner : en toute sincérité, c’est l’un des pires (voire le pire) petit déjeuner que nous ayons goûté. N’est pas du tout digne d’un 4 étoiles. De nombreux produits mais tous provenant des supermarchés. Les jus de fruits sont réalisés à partir de concentrés (il n’y a pas de jus d’orange, ce qui est quand même curieux), le café est imbuvable, les fruits ne sont pas bons et certains ne sont même pas mûrs, les tartes/gâteaux sont industriels, les pains sont des pains surgelés réchauffés, œufs brouillés qui ne goûtent rien (spongieux, ….), lards grillés de mauvaise qualité qui baignent dans l’huile et le gras,… Bref, notre petit déjeuner se limitait chaque matin à : verres d’eau, du pain avec beurre, et des céréales dans du lait chaud (pas de lait froid à disposition). Pour finir, l’hôtel propose des boissons (dont jus d’orange, smoothies, etc.) et d’autres choses à la carte et donc en payant un supplément : ceci accentue la notion que nous payons un prix pour un petit déjeuner qui n’en est pas un et que si nous souhaitons vraiment d’autres choses - comme un jus d’orange -, nous devons payer davantage …). Je suis rarement critique mais un petit déjeuner de la sorte ne peut pas exister dans un 4 étoiles ; - L’insonorisation de la chambre : nous étions situés du côté de la rue principale, nous entendions le trafic à l’extérieur. Nous entendions aussi les portes des chambres voisines qui claquaient et qui faisaient carrément trembler les murs/plafonds de notre chambre. Sans parler des discussions dans le couloir que nous entendions aussi. C’est dommage car nous avons aimé la qualité de la literie.

Breakfast room was at the top of the hotel with a wonderful view and god choice of food. Easy to get into centre of Rome either walking or on the bus. Shower was in the bath and a bath mat would have been useful to avoid slipping. Coffee at breakfast could have been better.

The hotel was beautifully decorated, the ambience was so welcoming. The staff was extremely helpful, professional and courteous. Janina was especially helpful. She spent several hours tracing down a phone that one of my traveling companions lost. In my opinion she went way above and beyond! She persisted until she found the phone and was so kind to my friend who was panicking and devastated at the loss of her phone. I was extremely impressed with her perseverance. She needs to be recognized for her determination to help a patron. 5 stars to Janina!

• Jagoda (2/5): avoid this place - I almost never leave negative reviews, but this experience was so unbelievably bad that I feel obligated to warn others. We specifically requested two separate beds, which the hotel confirmed in advance. When we arrived, surprise - no separate beds. Apparently, their “confirmation” means absolutely nothing. The bathroom drain was completely clogged, causing water to spill out and flood into the hallway. Disgusting. The bathroom curtains looked like they hadn’t been washed since the day the hotel opened. Honestly, it felt unhygienic. The bar prices? Completely outrageous and unjustifiable. And then there was the breakfast - absolutely terrible. The eggs smelled bad, like they were no longer fresh, and the coffee was easily the worst I’ve ever had. In Italy- a country famous for its coffee - that’s almost impressive, in the worst possible way. The only decent thing was the bread. And while all of that was already unacceptable, the worst part by far was what happened at check-in. The staff tried to make a photocopy of my credit card. Not just take details - actually scan it and store a copy. When I asked why, the only explanation I got was “it’s for the system.” That is not an explanation - it’s a red flag. I have never encountered anything like this in any hotel, ever. It felt invasive, unprofessional, and frankly unsafe. Avoid this place at all costs. photocopying my credit card

• 304andreeau (10/5): One of the best Roman "Jewels" in Rome - The hotel has an amazing architecture, respecting the roman design, that gives you a glimpse of all famous places in Rome, located 10-15 min walking distance from all Rome "jewels", combined with great service (reception and restaurant staff were very polite and helpful when needed). Our deluxe room has also a separate lounge area with a small couch and second TV, plus a small balcony to enjoy the sunny and warm temperature outside. From bathrobes, slippers to all bathroom necessities (including a shaving kit for men), this hotel appealed to all our senses, making our stay in Rome exceptional. We highly recommend this amazing hotel!

Με άλλαξαν δωμάτιο ενω τους εξήγησα το θέμα και με πήγαν σε άλλο που είχα θέμα αντί για θόρυβο αποχέτευσης, είχε μυρωδιάς.Επισης είναι όλο το ξενοδοχείο με γυψοσανίδα διαμορφωμένο με αποτέλεσμα να έχει πολύ καλή ηχομόνωση και δεν υπερβάλλω! Το προσωπικό έκανε ότι μπορεί αλήθεια,αλλά δυστυχώς δεν αξίζει τα λεφτά του!

• Freckles1302 (10/5): Excellent on all counts - We stayed for 4 nights to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. The hotel was the perfect place for us. We were able to walk everywhere and enjoy a quiet respite from the city centre in the evenings. The staff were extremely helpful and there are lots of restaurants nearby. Highly recommended (as are the cocktails if you get a chance!)

The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated, with touches that reflect Roman culture and heritage, creating a sense of classic luxury. Both the rooms and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. There is some traffic noise from outside; however, this is understandable given the location and did not significantly affect the overall stay. While most aspects of the hotel met expectations for a four-star hotel, the reception staff were less welcoming than anticipated. The interaction felt somewhat impersonal, as if guests were being processed rather than genuinely received. Considering the price point and the hotel’s rating, a warmer and more attentive approach from the front desk staff would greatly enhance the overall experience.

We had a lovely room but unfortunately it was interconnecting, being light sleepers it wasn’t ideal but not too much trouble for the hotel to move us. Great attentive staff, breakfast was lovely a room with a view. Location is great still close enough for everything but a quieter part of town with some lovely restaurants nearby. Would definitely recommend.

• Kim (7/5): A nice hotel but hard to recommend with the daily house keeping issues. - It’s in a quiet location, not too far to walk to the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountains. The room was fine, not that big but we were out most of the time. There was a kettle and tea/coffee etc occasionally at least. There is a 24 hr reception and the staff were very helpful. Excellent breakfast choices available served in a very nice top floor breakfast room with great views across Rome. Lovely. The hotel is very nice and we enjoyed the stay, but it is let down by house keeping. We stayed 4 nights. On one occasion the bathroom had been done, the bed left unmade, tea/coffee etc not replenished, in fact we had to ask every day for milk, sugar, coffee sachets. When we mentioned the room not being serviced it was suggested we had probably left things on the bed or put the ‘do not disturb’ sign on the door.

• Paolanyc96 (10/5): Romanico Palace experience - As soon as you walk in the lobby you feel the Roman culture and history. The staff was extremely welcoming and professional. The roof top breakfast area was the best part of our short stay. Every room of the palace is uniquely decorated and designed according to Italian baroque style. It’s called Palace and you feel like royalties staying there!

• G571ADians (10/5): Gill’s Rugby Trip - The Romanico Palace is a superbly furnished hotel , conveniently located for visiting all of the amazing historic sites in Rome. The staff are extremely friendly , welcoming and efficient. Delicious breakfasts are served on the 7th floor terrace which offers rooftop views of the city. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel are many family run restaurants which offer excellent food at very reasonable prices.
• Cecilia (9/5): - J’ai passé un très bon séjour dans cet hôtel. Le personnel était sympathique et à l’écoute, ce qui a rendu l’accueil très agréable. Le petit déjeuner était bon et nous avons été particulièrement bien accueillis par la dame présente à l’accueil du petit déjeuner. La chambre était propre et spacieuse, ce qui a rendu le séjour encore plus confortable. Ce que j’ai le moins aimé, c’est que la literie était dure.

• Z4099SWstephanies (8/5): Great base for a Rome stay - Lovely room (if extremely eccentric) - lovely shower room and opulent decor. Comfortable bed and decent shower. This hotel is big and it’s a real rabbit warren but it’s clean and well maintained. Breakfast is good - pretty much the same each day but tasty and plenty of choice. Friendly staff although with the exception of the breakfast team we didn’t really meet any. Room very well cleaned. Like many hotels they don’t cater for women needing a towel to wash their hair. Big fluffy bath sheets and then tea towels (never sussed out what they were for) - needed smaller towels for hair washing but a minor detail. Great location - we walked pretty much everywhere from here in under an hour. Trevi fountain is ten minutes, Villa Borghese is ten minutes, about 35 to Colliseum

Great selection of freshly made pastries.lovely deep bath in room with plenty of hot water We booked this hotel because it advertised a swimming pool. There is NO swimming pool.It costs 75 euro to use spa for 2 hours,it has a plunge pool,and a steam room.sauna wasn't working and no Turkish bath as advertised. It was also not heated properly, we were freezing walking around in our swimsuit.also shower ran cold very quickly. Extortionate price for what is offered
• Kate (7/5): Staff amazing, facilities less so - The hotel is nice and the staff were lovely and friendly. Breakfast was amazing and lots to choose from and the views from the breakfast room are across the city. Our room was dated. The bathroom sink leaked and even after a new part it still leaked. We weren’t offered to move rooms. The pillows were awful and honestly slept badly because of them but that’s down to my preference. A range of different pillows would have been nice. Spa facilities and the pool are not for use unless you pay for them. I felt that was slightly misleading as I had chosen that hotel specifically for the pool.
• davidjB2721HF (10/5): Comfortable and colourful - Stayed 3 nights in a triple room, double bed plus a single in a separate private area with its own TV, where our teenage grandson was very comfortable. The bus from the airport dropped us at the main station, from where it was an easy walk to the hotel. From the very start, the reception staff were friendly and helpful, letting us book in early as the room was ready. We had a 2nd floor suite, decorated with unmistakable Italian motifs and furniture, a classical statue and mirrors with ormolu frames, etc. The whole hotel is exuberantly and colourfully decorated in rococo style. The bed was very comfortable. Bathroom has a bidet and bathtub with shower over. Usual towels and toiletries provided. The mini bar was well stocked. Breakfast was in the 7th floor restaurant with panoramic views across the city. A good range of food (especially a good choice of bread), although the hot selection of scrambled eggs and bacon was unvaried. The coffee was more American than Italian! I would have liked fresh filtered coffee. We didn't use the health suite or pool. It seemed good value, as part of a Jet2 package. City tax is €7.50 pp/night Thoroughly enjoyed our stay
• Murphy (10/5): Great location, staff, value and design. Will 100% be back - Location, facilities, breakfast area and the design. Felt luxurious and convenient at the same time. Mini bar could be better, our room didnt have a balcony and I tried to upgrade but wasnt allowed would have been nice to be able to pay more for more.
• jackdM8660CC (6/5): Good hotel with bad spa experience - Nice hotel, nice rooms and good breakfast. Only big negative was the spa, cost €150 for us both for 2 hours. Booked for sunday morning, went down after breakfast no one to show us around or give us towels. Pool was cold and so were all of the showers. Tried using the phone to call reception but no answer. Not a relaxing or romantic experience at all. Left after 45minutes of trying to make the best of it. Went to reception to let them know and they were not interested in a refund. Asked to speak to a manager but he wouldn't come out of his office. Would recommend the hotel but definitely not paying extra for the spa, not worth the money at all!!!

• paulsK8739WW (6/5): Ok hotel in a good location.The rooms consist of a bed and a couch - Hotel is in a food location but we had issues with room keys daily.The room was really warm but unable to open a window because of a ventilation pipe right outside our room window.The other bed is not a bed it’s actually a couch with a duvet on it.If I had known this I definitely would not have booked.Also overcharged at checkout for drinks we didn’t order and overall disappointed with the hotel.

Not so close to the centre. I've requested double bed and this was approved by hotel, but 2 single beds were put together instead.

• Solomon66 (8/5): Birthday in Rome Great Hotel/Location - Stayed here to celebrate my birthday..we had a beautiful room great location..easy walking distance to Spanish Steps & Trevi Fountain. Breakfast was sufficient..plenty of of choice & lush cappuccinos! The rooftop views are stunning 🤩 The housekeeping of our room was hit & miss, lots of cobwebs around the bedside table lights. Bathroom & wardrobe space plentiful. We have great views & tall balcony windows we opened to let Rome in! The reception & bar area are stunning lots of great artefacts & places to sit & drink the very expensive drinks! They can book the hop on /hop off bus for you & provide maps & detailed info on restaurants etc. The gym is ok albeit small, we never did the spa too much to see & do out of the hotel. Don’t forget you have to pay city tax on departure. Great hotel great location

• Filip (6/5): - It is relatively central, so if you like walking a bit you could walk downtown in about 20mins. Relatively old building which is normal for Rome, furniture is not as glamorous as it seems on the pictures. The breakfast was generally not good.

• Paola (9/5): Magical Rome and magical rooms, perfectly in tune with this beautiful city that has captured my heart. - I really liked the wonderful breakfast staff, especially John and Manuela (or Emanuela), I’m not sure. Whenever there were small issues in the room, everything was quickly resolved. The rooms are beautiful, like a museum. It’s true that the hotel is older and could use a refresh, but considering that in Rome you mostly spend time outside, it was perfect for what I needed. I will definitely return. The soundproofing isn’t great, so you can hear everything from room to room; and in the morning it’s hard to sleep in because guests slam doors. We live in a world where people don’t really think about others…
