- Maryam (9/5): My stay was great overall. - The hotel was neat clean and rooms were comfortable. Staff were helpful, spoke English and pleasant. It was further away than I wanted to be but easy to find and walk back to. The bed was a bit hard and the bathroom is starting to show signs of aging. As a Muslim the breakfast options are very limited.

- Miroslava_Koleva (4/5): Value for money is bearable, but I don't think I would repeat. - The main thing that I liked was the location. It is within a 20-minute walk to the pedestrian street. Not ideal like 5-10 minutes, but for people used to walking, it is doable to walk there, around, and back. The food at breakfast was okay, but the restaurant in the lobby was quite overpriced. From our room, we had a view of the Bund as well, for which of course, you pay extra. It looks dated, and there was a heavy wet smell in the upper-floor rooms. The AC can't be switched off completely, which can be troublesome. There were no vanity supplies. The water in the pool looked yellow, apart from it being very small. The restaurant at the top is very old-school, and the rooftop bar turned out to be closed for a long time. I was quite dissapointed, maybe because I had higher expectations from the photos.

Wir hatten am Anfang ein Zimmer im 6. Stock, wo wir nachts die Lärm aus einer Karaokebar hörten - nach Beschwerde durften wir aber in den 13. Stock wechseln 2. teilweise mangelt es etwas an den Englischkenntnissen der Angestellten - aber zum Glück gab es 2 männliche Mitarbeiter der Rezeption, die rasch geholfen haben 3. sehr ärgerlich ist auch, dass ein „Deposit“ von 500 CNY pro Nacht zusätzlich auf der Kreditkarte belastet wird, wenn das Zimmer wie bei uns über booking gebucht, aber noch nicht vorher bezahlt wurde - am Ende hat die Abrechnung der Kreditkarte dann aber gepasst - die Info wäre aber z.B. vorher über Booking com hilfreich gewesen

- Manuk (7/5): Могло бы быть неплохо, но вид на стройку все испортил. - Прекрасное расположение, рядом две станции метро (включая прямую линию от аэропорта Хунцяо), в пешей доступности набережная, старый город, парк Ююань и другие достопримечательности. Очень приятный и дружелюбный персонал. Планировка наших номеров отличалась от фотографии на Букинге, поэтому вместо «окон в пол и вида на оживленный город» мы получили два окна, наполовину загороженных мебелью, выходящих на оживленную стройку. Это, к сожалению, испортило все впечатление от пребывания в отеле. Такж в описании номера были указаны ванна и душевая, по факту была только душевая, а сама ванная комната очень маленькая.

Las camas son sumamente confortables y su desayuno muy variado, el personal en general es muy atento y busca como ayudarte. Por elección siempre es el hotel favorito y si pides cuarto con vista al Bund es espectacular. Nos cambiaron de habitación por que no tenían la que reservamos, nos resulto poco cómoda y finalmente nos buscaron una habitación que nos resultara cómoda y nos hicieron el cambio. Nos cambiaron de cuarto por que no tenían la habitación que solicitamos, en lo personal, la habitación nos resulto muy poco cómoda con una tina enmedio del cuarto, ya que aparentemente es más amplio que otras habitaciones pero la tina lo vuelve incomodo por que todo lo demás esta amontonado, no la sugiero.

The window panes cannot be open for cool air. Breakfast is not nice.

- Dr. Ömer Sahin (10/5): Best domicil for your stay in Shanghai - For a good 15 years now, we have always chosen the Renaissance Yu Garden Hotel whenever we travel to Shanghai. My wife and I recently stayed on the Executive Floor for a week. We have been thoroughly satisfied every single time, without exception. The hotel is in an excellent location. The underground station and numerous shopping centres are all within easy reach. The staff are always very polite, hard-working, attentive and focused on guest satisfaction. We look forward to being looked after by them every time. Under the exemplary leadership of the experienced Mr Johansson Li and Mrs Coco, the staff members Loren, Charlie, Rose, Jane, Farah and Janice work tirelessly to look after the guests. Yuyuan garden lo quiero dejar para otro dia Si ya has visto Nanjing Road, Anfu Road, el Bund y Jing'an Temple, hoy haría algo más distinto y con ambiente. La opción más agradable para pasar la tarde y noche sería perderte por la French Concession. Tiene calles arboladas, casas antiguas, cafeterías, tiendas pequeñas y mucho ambiente al atardecer. Puedes caminar por Wukang Road, Ferguson Lane, Yongkang Road y acabar cenando o tomando algo por la zona. Si quieres algo más “Shanghai de noche”, puedes ir a Shanghai Tower para subir al mirador y luego cruzar a la zona de Lujiazui para ver los rascacielos iluminados desde abajo. Las vistas nocturnas desde arriba son de las mejores de la ciudad. Otra opción buena es combinar la tarde en Shanghai Natural History Museum. o Shanghai History Museum y luego terminar en Xintiandi o en la Concesión Francesa. Mucha gente recomienda Tianzifang de día y French Concession o Xintiandi para la tarde-noche. Si ya has visto bastante de Anfu Road, hoy quizá haría Wukang Road + Sinan Mansions + Xintiandi, porque tiene un ambiente algo más elegante y diferente por la noche. The room was clean, but there is one downside: the air felt a bit stale since the windows cannot be opened, and the air conditioning alone wasn’t enough. We called reception and they brought us a portable air unit, which helped a lot. There was also an air purifier already in the room, so they are clearly aware of the issue. It’s not the staff’s fault, but it can be a bit uncomfortable. They also offered to change our room, although the portable unit solved the problem for us.
- Patrizia (10/5): Hotel spettacolare 😍 - Hotel bellissimo con posizione strategica, davanti alla stazione metro e a pochi passi dal Bund. Camere molto spaziose, ottima la colazione e il ristorante, personale gentilissimo. Da preferire senza dubbio l'affaccio sul Bund che è spettacolare. Nulla.

- Anja (7/5): Was Ok - The location was really great, and the staff were very friendly. The entrance and lobby were very nice. However, the room itself appeared quite worn, giving the impression that the hotel is very old. In particular, the wooden cupboards had a strong smell of old, damp wood. The silicone in the shower was yellow and black. The corners in both the room and bathroom were dirty and showed many dark stains. The pool area was disappointing. It looked so dirty and outdated that we didn’t even want to go into the pool. The view was barely visible due to the dirty windows from outside. Additionally, the internet connection was very poor (no internet at all!). Overall, from an international perspective, the hotel would be considered a 3-star property.

- Florence (10/5): Lovely hotel next to YuYuan and close walk to Bund - Loved location close to Bund and Yu Garden. Great room and views of Bund skyline. Room good size and beds comfy. They provided slippers. Good service and easy check out. Infinity pool was nice. Hotel gym also convenient. Starry night bar at hotel had a good floor to ceiling view of the Bund night skyline . Nothing comes to mind.

Es gab keine Kaffeemaschine im Zimmer, nur Kaffeepads (die wirklich kein Ersatz sind); die Zimmer waren um 15:00 noch nicht bezugsfertig; Temperatur im Zimmer war nicht einstellbar.

As guests with executive lounge access, we enjoyed complimentary in-house breakfast with a diverse selection of delicious food options. The executive lounge staff were particularly outstanding, providing exceptional service throughout our stay. The bed was uncomfortable due to a dent in the mattress and its firmness. Combined with a pillow that provided zero neck support, it was difficult to get a good night's sleep. Both the mattress and pillow need to be replaced.

- Lena (7/5): Bra läge, men ful utsikt samt dålig restaurang - Bra läge nära gamla stan och shopping. Välstädade rum Fruktansvärt ful utsikt mot byggarbetsplats. Dålig belysning i badrum, det går tyvärr inte att sminka sig i badrummet, då det är alldeles för mörkt. Vill även varna för hotellets restaurang, dyrt och med oätligt mat, en restaurang som ej passar in på ett 5* hotell.

- Sarah (10/5): Beste Wahl im Herzen von Shanghai - Die Lage war perfekt! Direkt am Yu Garden, 15 entspannte Gehminuten zum Bund. Direkt gegenüber die Metro und in wenigen Minuten sind Didis vor dem Hotel. Dennoch sind die Zimmer zu einer eher ruhigen Straße ausgerichtet. Wir waren im 10. Stock und hatten eine unfassbare Aussicht auf die Skyline und haben trotzdem keinen Muks von draußen gehört! Das Zimmer war sehr groß mit großen, bequemen Betten und viel Platz für Gepäck und um sich frei zu bewegen. Ausstattung top! Das Personal war purer Zucker. Hilfsbereit, freundlich und stets für uns da. Frühstück war auch super. Viel Auswahl an chinesischem, aber auch westlichen Essen. Frisches Obst, guter Kaffee und der Suppenroboter war ein Hit für die Kids. Und das alles zu einem unschlagbaren Preis! Wir kommen definitiv wieder!
