Guest Reviews
- Michael (8/5): - Arrived early, and the staff were very helpful. I was able to leave my luggage until check in. Unfortunately I left my phone at reception when I left my luggage. The staff when they found it ran after me to get it back to me. Thanks.
Right in the centre of Dublin.
Room and bed were great. Slept with no interruptions from outside.
- Christiana (6/5): Avoid, if you need a quiet night's sleep. - Groundfloor works as a nightclub, so even on the 3rd floor you can't sleep due to the music and screaming. Music starts at 11 and stops at around 4 am, so you can forget about resting. Amenities include earplugs. At least the staff was polite and the room clean. The noise.
- Anthony (10/5): -
- Graham (8/5): Great value, perfect for a short stay. - Everything met my expectations.
I didn't take breakfast due to time constraints. The receptionist could have been more friendly, she seemed stressed.
- Marta McCracken (10/5): - ♥️ ♥️
- Paul (7/5): -
- John (7/5): Had a great stay if you’re into night life this is the hotel to stay in for the night - Great atmosphere good music bottles off alcohol was only €2
- Eileen (7/5): -

- Amy (8/5): - The design of the lobby and the deluxe double room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable The rooms were a bit too dated
- zakanel (9/5): -
- Denis (9/5): -
- Des (10/5): Excellent Hotel - Just about everything really, we have stayed there before and it really is a beautiful Hotel and the location is excellent for theatre, shopping and the luas is literally a 3 minute walk away. The complimentary Coffee and croissants where excellent 👌. Not much just minor things, could be better selection on the TV and the room was a little chilly in the morning but that could have been down to me not knowing how to use the central heating
- Tom (8/5): - Staff. Breakfast (simple but good) Noise
- Faye (6/5): -
- Damian (8/5): -
- ryan maher (8/5): - Room was very hot
- Niall (4/5): -

- Wayne (6/5): - Hotel was clean booked room was room 101 got the room left cane back cudnt get into d room we had to go get staff who had to go get maintenance man to fix lock as was dead kept flashing red so we went to bar after few hrs asked was it fixed we were told no so she loved us to room 100 after it all but room 100 was fab room so we were happy with the room was just all d hassel of going from room to room after we paid like diceys was brilliant drinks was cheap and great time in there and the hotel itself Moving rooms cos lock was broke in our room we booked
- Blathnaid (5/5): - The style The rickety bed, the creaky floor, the noise from the nightclubs
- Hannah (5/5): - Clean room, staff were easy to deal with Weird smell in room. The room was way too hot and we could only open one window. There was night club that was very loud and went on until 3am. Couldn’t close the window due to the smell and how hot the room was
- Trish Ryan Buckley (6/5): Good value - Price and room were great .. Room 30 avoid it as it's right over the night club and unfortunately we did not know this on check in,so staying at this side with a child is not ideal especially when it doesn't end until 2 30am on a Tuesday night.
- Steve (6/5): Location was excellent but in a lively and therefore noisy area - Location Dated
Noisy
- Sandra (5/5): - Very clean and nice and big room for a pretty good price There’s a club underneath the hotel so it was very loud at night and little disturbing
- fulvio (5/5): -
- Marguerite (10/5): - The ro was amazing an fab facilities Breakfast would of been nice
- Leon (10/5): -
- Ava Mai (5/5): -
- Adam (6/5): Affordable- would only stay for a max one night - Location was great Room was very aged and incredibly dusty , a ray of light shining through the window was able to recognise how much dust was floating around the room
- Murray (8/5): -
- Shane (9/5): Fab location , great room , - Extremely noisy at 3/4 am when the night club finished
- Gabriela (1/5): - I would not recommend this hotel if you value peace and quiet. My stay was extremely disappointing due to the noise levels. It turned out that there is a nightclub located on the first floor, which was not clearly communicated beforehand. At night there were loud crowds, shouting, and even fights on the street right outside. The noise continued until around 4 AM, making it impossible for me to get any proper sleep.
I find it hard to believe the positive reviews claiming that the hotel is quiet — that was definitely not my experience. If anything, those comments feel misleading. Aside from this major issue, the stay might have been acceptable, but the lack of rest completely ruined it for me.
It’s not a safe place for a stay!
- Heather (8/5): - It was very noisy and very warm in the room
- Judith (8/5): Good - Central, something different unique
Clean lovely staff Noise but got the ear plugs, smell of cigarette smoke in the room
- W (5/5): -
- David (7/5): -
- Trevor (5/5): Convenient Location but dont plan on sleeping - Staff were friendly, rooms were fairly compact but clean Noise noise and more noise. Although the location is good for accessing the city..my research into its whereabouts or more what was going on it the basement of the hotel should have been better.!!..Nightclub in the basement floor of hotel and there was music thumping from 7pm in the evening until 2am , when they supply new packets of earplugs in the bedroom..you know you've made a mistake...the bass noise from nightclub got louder at 1am and there was no chance of sleep..even with earplugs!!!!
- Michelle (5/5): Only stay if you’re ok with club noise - Location in terms of proximity to everything Inc bus to airport was good. As a lone female traveller staying there on a weekend night when the club is happening- not ideal. My fault for not doing proper research. The smell of cigarettes that greeted me when I came back in (windows were open as the room was very hot and the day been hot). Then leaving the next day, the smell of booze from club night before was unpleasant.
- Paula (8/5): -
- Natasha (9/5): Pleasant stay - Room was just beautiful. Staff at check in wasn't the most friendly person.
Quite noisi as rooms are just over a night club
- Catherine (10/5): Brilliant - As described in the booking info, there was loud music till early hours but we expected it! The rooms were huge! There was light breakfast in the lounge which was great. A lady who appeared to be more senior came to meet and greet us each day checking everything was ok. She was very accommodating. Wish the bar opened earlier than 4pm for residents
- Al Ami (10/5): -
- Paulo (1/5): - Noise
- white (7/5): - The family delux was hugh The noise from the nightclub till 4am was frustrating
- david (7/5): enjoyed our 1 night stay would go back again - location, great bars food outlets in area very lively at night , easy access to car park beds were a bit hard, there is night clubs all around, so you will hear late music but hotel states that their is noise and didnt bother us
- Brian (10/5): - The room was especially beautiful, we really enjoyed the decor The fact that we couldn't stay an extra night lol
- Brenda (6/5): -
- Kristian (4/5): OK - Breakfast was a joke. One croissant and a glass of juice. When I arrived at the hotel to check in, I happily walked up to the counter and was greeted by a girl who couldn't even look up. No "hello", no "welcome", no smile. Only a question about whether I had booked a room. My first impression of Ireland could only get better, which it did.
- Aiden (8/5): -
- Agnieszka (10/5): -
- Tomasz (8/5): ogólnie ok. - Fantastyczna lokalizacja, mimo braku wykupionych śniadań mogliśmy rano rozkoszować się kawą lub herbatą i croissant.
Interesujące wnętrze pokoju - kominek, zabytkowe meble i te dwa krany oddzielnie z zimną i ciepłą wodą.
- John Paul (9/5): - Nice big bedroom with adjoining tv room. Lots of space. Nice and clean. Good location. A bit noisy with the nightclub behind the hotel but ear plugs sorted this problem.
- Gourlay (7/5): -
- JACKIMUS1982 (10/5): Central , cheap, cheap drinks , noisy - Excellent location , Bad for Noise but you should know this before booking there. €2.50 pints unheard of anywhere else in Dublin. Staying in the hotel gives you free access to nightclub. Do not book the hotel if you intend on being asleep before 02:30. If you're looking for a cheap central location with unheard of drinks prices and food!
This is the Marmite Hotel, you'll either love it or hate it.
- Thomaz Denez (10/5): -
- Jack (10/5): Excellent value for money - It's a nightclub with accomodation and super cheap drinks. If you need to sleep before 02:30. This is not for you I should have brought the lads
- James (7/5): Cheap and cheerful - Bed is very comfy Difficult to turn on the shower and the noise from the nightclubs below is insufferable
- Seamie (6/5): -
- Leo (4/5): - The room was fine. If was spacious. The noise was TERRIBLE. Avoid at your perril. I was on the third floor and the noise from the nite club was intolerable until 3am.
I arrived at 10.30pm to the rudest person I've come across in a hotel.
The shower was awful.
- Ankhbayar (6/5): -
- John (7/5): - The old world charm, my room was of a bygone area... Which I loved It's does seem, that the hotel didn't have a restaurant are a residents bar, which made me feel that the hotel was a second 5o the night club.... And the shower was in bath, could be updated
- raymond (8/5): -
- King (1/5): I wouldn’t stay here again. Too loud and the facilities are old and need to be uosated - Terrible location (too loud - close to all night clubs). Elevator/lift was too small so I had to climb 6 flights of stairs to go to my room. The chairs in the living room were uncomfortable- get a couch
- Eamon (9/5): Great value, great location, nice rooms. - Excellent location. Lovely room. Nice complimentary breakfast (croissants, orange juice, tea/coffee). Friendly staff. Noise from nightclub downstairs/next door goes on until 2am. The ear buds provided in the rooms don't block anything.
- APOLLO (10/5): -
- Luca (9/5): -
- Rodolfo (8/5): - Posizione centrale, tutto bene. Niente
- Sharon (1/5): - Comfortable beds & location to city centre Rude staff twice went to reception over heat im room second time got a fan that arrived covered in dust no fan gaurd. Then to realise that every nightclub including hotels was on till late.No complimentary water in room paid €10 2 small bottlee in nightclub as nowhere else seemed to have it.Security staff ,bar staff late night reception staff very rude.Woild most definitely not stay again needs a revamp. Some basics hospitality needs.
- Serdaru (8/5): -
- Shannon (10/5): -
- chris (7/5): Just ok wouldn’t stay there again - Great location When I was trying to sleep there was a lot of noise outside & music from the nightclub was a bit loud
- Niamh (5/5): A mixed bag of a hotel - If you're lucky, you'll get a well appointed room with a comfortable bed and spacious bathroom and almost 3 arms chairs to sit at while talking or relaxing. It can feel lavish if you like an old-timey atmosphere. The furniture pieces can include an armoire and an old writing desk. Theyre not useful really, but they're a nice touch. Most likely left over from the original use of the building. The problem is: booking a 'double room' doesn't guarantee what kind of room space you get. I don't mind the fact it has a nightclub in built with the hotel, it's actually part of its shtick. The staff provide ear plugs and understand not every guest will attend. But the room we got recently was missing an armchair and desk. I assume they were removed to facilitate a cot or something but were never returned. We asked for them to be put in and we were told where we wouldn't get a table, we'd get an armchair. We were eventually given a slippery desk chair and that had to do. I understand this is a niche personal experience and doesnt reflect the entirety of a stay but it was disappointing to be left without features of a room. The tea making station was left lacking because there was no room to actually make the tea. The peddestle where one needs to boil the kettle didnt reach the floating shelf provided. We had to boil our kettle on the floor. That's kinda stupid. Plus, side note: the lift is terribly small. Do not use it at all if you're claustrophobic or overwhelmed with bags.
I'm including the pictures of the room from my latest stay versus the one from my first stay. They're both "double rooms".
- anthony (10/5): worth every pound. - sound place great staff nothing.
- Foteini (7/5): -
- Derek (8/5): - It wascso central to all shops and bars We had to complain about a couple of things that were wrong in the room, and the noise coming from the disco, which went on until 3 a.m., wasn't good.
- Hafwen (8/5): -
- valeriefX3687VF (2/5): Noisy, old, smelly place Avoid - This was by far the worse so called hotel we ever stayed in, thankfully for just one night as going to rugby match. It smelled of urine, very old and run down, floors that creak, windows that let in every noise as they are so old, bathroom door bangs loudly if you don't remember to hold onto it to close quietly, totally unfriendly staff, so uninterested. Room was so hot and flooŕ seemed dirty, not to mention the loud thumping beats coming from the hotel clubs that went on to until til the early hours, with loads of very loud young ones congreting for hours outside the hotel after club finish followed by some loud undesirables up and down the streets going through bins and on one occasion nearly fighting and cursing. A rough area that didnt feel safe. Not even a decent comfortable bar to have a nice drink after the match. We left very early the next day so thankfully to get out of that place. Avoid unless you like no sleep, no comfort, dirty smelly so-called hotel!
- Sinéad (5/5): Extremely noisy - Staff were very friendly and helpful, facilities clean. I was not aware there was a night club in the hotel as well as others on the street, so it was extremely noisy until about 5.30am and I slept very poorly.
- O'Connor (9/5): - Good location The music from nightclub, but they do provide earplugs 😂
- Doireann (10/5): -
- Antonio (9/5): - Buena ubicación
- David (10/5): - The room was beautiful Comfortable and clean
