Guest Reviews
- 551zoranl (4/5): Bad - So disappointing. Two days in a row, we couldn't find any beach chairs, not on the beach or by the pool. When we asked for help, customer service just said, "Sorry, it's our busy season, we can't help." The next days, we had to set our alarm early in the morning to snag chairs. Every day, we waited 15 to 20 minutes in line for breakfast, lunch, and dinner just to get in. For what we paid, we had a terrible experience at this hotel. I wouldn't go back there even if it was half price.
- hollandw753 (10/5): Great experience - I went during March 2026, and I had a fantastic time. The buffet food was great and very clean; there were plenty of options for everyone. The drinks were also not watered down and were easily accessible. Our room was clean, and the shower was big with warm water. The service was very good; everyone was friendly. The one thing that went wrong was that we couldn't get beach towels for 3/4 of the days after asking multiple times and asking various people. I would happily go back again.
- O7364TPannc (2/5): Unhappy customer - I was very disappointed with my stay at this all inclusive resort. The room was not properly cleaned on a daily basis, which was frustrating and below expectations. The food was also quite poor, lacking both quality and variety throughout the stay. Communication with the staff was difficult as many were unable to speak English, making even simple requests challenging. Additionally, the house wine was of a very low quality and not enjoyable at all.
Overall, the resort did not live up to the standards typically expected from an all inclusive resort. I would not recommend this resort, it was the worst resort that I have ever stayed at.
- richardgZ2628CY (4/5): Too much work - hotel switch/name change. - False advertising - bait and switch.
We had previously vacationed at the grand oasis palm. The room looked as when we stayed overlooking the koi pond and lagoon. No stairs or ramps, and restaurant near the elevators and walk in pool near by, ideal for our twin infants and strollers. The grand oasis palm shared wifi, restaurants and pools with the hotel next door the grand oasis and everything between the two were open.
On arrival at Cancun there were long line up to nexus kiosk just for them to tell you where to wait for the transfer.
Upon arrival we were taken to the hotel next door the grand oasis ( the hotel that looks like 2 triangles)
At check in we were told the grand oasis hotel was renamed to the palm and the old hotel was sold to the Hilton and not part of this hotel.
They put us in room 504 which smelt musky, old and tired, no draws to put clothes and 6 hangers, the sink tap water smelt like grey water, tiles chipped, and shower filled up as you took a shower. How do they expect 2 adults to live out a suit cases never mind 2 infants as well.
The elevators do not go down to the restaurants, beach area or theater for kids shows. There are ramps but none for the theatre and they are so steep and dangerous. Not wheelchair or stroller friendly as the ramps are 22-35 degree incline . Our double stroller had to be taken backwards down the ramps something my wife was unable to do. Going up and down the 7 ramps 4 or 5 times a day is too much work. The top ramp is dangerous as you have to keep left as there is an open stairs with only 6 inch clearance something I caught when one of my wheels went over the stairs the first time using ramps.
Kids daycare is only 4 yrs and up, kids shows inaccessible by stroller. Captain Hook pirate boat is 3 yrs and older.
We complained about the room and told we had to wait until the next day for the supervisor to give them the room scheduling. Wth computerized systems and they have to wait for a supervisor? We went back at 6am only to be told supervisor not in until 8 am. After breakfast we were told we have another room in the left triangle building but had to wait in our room for the bell boy for our luggage to be collected and again had to wait for the bell boy to deliver our luggage. Our new room was slightly better but nothing like the pictures. Again the room was tired, but at least it had draws and overlooked the grand oasis Sens nee grand oasis palm where we had previously stayed as the GOP.
Although a lot of the access between the 2hotels is now walled over, and we later discovered on our own, that they still operate as before sharing pools and restaurants with limited access to restaurants for the GOP and we had to take the long way around to get to the other side.
Utubes videos going back to 2023 showed the palm as it was back then and the pictures and description on Sunwing shows the rooms from the now Grand oasis Sens as the grand oasis
palm.
As I have been to this hotel before I would never have picked to stay on the left side of this hotel campus.
It makes me wonder if you can ever trust this hotel chain not to bait and switch hotels names especially as I saw them renovating some of the rooms in the nicer part of the building but not the older side.
Food was not much better than Cuba, with chewy beef, pizza was oven baked with fresh topping on a store bought cardboard base! In the buffet restaurant we had to wait to get 2high chairs. My wife would get food and we would still be waiting for 2 high chairs despite numerous request. Steak was chewy unless you paid at $150 for a tomahawk or lobster tail. Booking other restaurant was only the day before. Not a family resort unless your children are 4 yrs or older and like to climb stairs or steep ramps.
- I5645DOmelissaj (6/5): Beautiful place with bad food - Beautiful resort with friendly service. Very clean. The spa was lovely and the massage was heavenly. However the food included in the meal plan was barely edible. However there was enough variety that we didn’t go hungry. Drinks are included but you’re in for a long wait in line at the bar. Lots of sales people on the beach selling trinkets and tours.
- Sunshine38429691476 (2/5): GO HERE IF YOU LIKE DUMPS - Myself and my family were all really unwell due to the uncooked food and disgraceful hygene. This hotel is a dirty, run down, mouldy, cheap, rip off, dump.
- monicalF2068GW (2/5): A disappointing hotel in a lovely setting - We read the reviews before leaving and took the good with the bad. We should have ignored the good. The food was appalling. It was overcooked and cold. We were first into the buffet at lunch one day and the food was still cold. We were hoping if we got there when the buffet began it would be hot. We could hope! If you want hot food get the omelette at breakfast. That was good. We did not get to use all the food places that were advertised on the site where we booked. They just said we could not enter and to go to another. I will be bringing that up with the company I booked with. I need to be able to trust them and they need to do their due diligence. They advertise a lazy river and I saw myself floating down it with a Pina colada in my hand. I got the Pina colada, many Pina coladas, but there is not a lazy river. There are insufficient loungers. One day a fight broke out because someone thought someone else was "stealing" their lounger, because their towel had been on it, unused, since 6.30am. You have to go down before 7am to get one. Waited on 2 occasions to get towels for the beach as they ran out of clean towels. We were constantly badgered to buy into the resort. They are all there as you get out of the elevators. We said no and it took days to be left alone, though they had 1 more try on our last day. After the food it was unlikely they would get a sale from us. Toilet backed up. We were told that we could not flush toilet paper in Mexico. Checked with friends who go to resorts in Mexico, some have been to many different ones, and no one has to put used toilet paper in bins next to the toilet. One day we did not get room service so a bit of a problem when the bin is full of used toilet paper. Things we looked for in a resort were a pool bar, beach bar and kayaks. Pool bar - check, beach bar - check. Kayaks - I guess that is a check. They had 2 for the entire resort and you are only allowed to use them for the kids races in the swim area on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. We said, well no!, we are excellent kayakers and we wanted to explore but we were refused. We kept laughing at the fact that the friend with me had more kayaks than the resort. She has 4 and the resort has 2. We made the decision before we left that we were going to relax on the beach and forget about everything else. We did lay on the beach and enjoyed the sunshine. Took great photos of us not enjoying the food and great photos of us enjoying the drinks and the beach. If you decide to go to this resort then you need to go with the attitude that no matter what happens you will enjoy what you can enjoy and remember you are on vacation and forget about the rest. I was on vacation and watching other people taking work phone calls on the beach so overall I was better off than them as they were working and eating bad food. I was just eating bad food and lazing on the beach because I could not kayak. If you choose this resort - Good Luck!
- X9910EYdenisa (2/5): Avoid at all cost - I can’t believe the ratings… walls are paper thin, can here couple in next room having sex. Any conversation/tv/urination and bowel movement activity are heard. This isn’t even worth the discount we got booking.
Our room had 2 broken lamps, a headboard shelf on the wall that was in danger of falling. This is a miss even at 1-star rating.
- M3573ODbarryr (2/5): The worst experience ever, they ripped us off for the environmental tax - Dirty rooms , cockroaches and black mold , they false advertise on there website, the place is nothing like the pictures
- JustChuck95 (2/5): NOTHING GRAND ABOUT THIS OASIS... - I rarely leave negative reviews, but my stay at Grand Oasis Palm in Cancun was deeply disappointing and far below what should be expected from an all-inclusive resort.
From the moment we arrived, the experience started on a frustrating and stressful note. The front desk initially could not locate my reservation. After an extended delay, it was discovered that they had entered my last name as my first name in their system. This clerical error caused unnecessary confusion and significantly delayed check-in. After traveling, the last thing guests want is administrative disorganization at arrival. The check-in process overall was chaotic, inefficient, and poorly managed. Staff appeared overwhelmed and unprepared, and there was little communication or sense of urgency. We felt like an inconvenience rather than welcomed guests.
Unfortunately, the room condition made matters worse. On the very first day of our arrival, we had to call housekeeping to change the sheets because they were visibly dirty, including the pillowcases. That is simply unacceptable for any hotel, let alone a resort that markets itself as a relaxing vacation destination.
The physical condition of the room raised even more concerns. The ceiling was visibly damaged, as if someone had attempted to pry into it at some point. The shower drain cover was not properly secured; it was merely placed loosely on top of the drain. Each day after housekeeping cleaned the room, the drain cover would be moved and left exposing the open drain hole, creating both a safety concern and an unpleasant sight. There was also a noticeable unpleasant odor near the bathroom area. The room felt outdated, poorly maintained, and neglected rather than refreshed and ready for guests.
To make matters worse, live nightly music blared through the windows, making it nearly impossible to fall asleep. The noise carried well into the evening and the windows provided little to no sound insulation. After long travel days and excursions, rest should not be a luxury. Instead, sleep became another frustration during our stay.
The food and beverage experience was equally disappointing — if not worse. The food was not lukewarm; it was cold. We wanted to provide a fair assessment, so we intentionally arrived right when one of the restaurants opened to be first in line. The restaurant had literally just opened, and the food sitting out was already cold. That alone speaks volumes about food preparation and quality control.
Additionally, buffets did not replenish dishes as they neared closing time. Instead of refilling items, trays were simply left empty, leaving guests with very limited options — in some cases, only salad and fruit. The food itself lacked flavor entirely. It was bland, uninspired, and honestly just not good. For an all-inclusive resort, this was incredibly disappointing.
However, the most concerning part of the entire stay involved the dinner reservation system. I repeatedly attempted to book dinner reservations through the resort’s app and continuously received messages stating that all restaurants were fully booked — every single time.
Not satisfied with that response, I went in person to try to make a reservation. I was told that if I purchased an item from a specific menu, I could then be accommodated. I honestly could not believe what I was hearing. To test whether this was truly the case, I purchased the cheapest option available — two beers. Immediately after doing so, I was allowed into a restaurant that was nearly empty to enjoy dinner.
This experience was extremely disheartening. It felt like a clear money-making tactic designed to push guests into unnecessary purchases under the guise of being “fully booked.” For an all-inclusive resort, this practice feels unethical, misleading, and completely contradictory to what guests are promised when booking.
Additional frustrations included limited seating at the pool and beach, long elevator wait times, inconsistent service from staff, and a general lack of organization throughout the property.
Overall, Grand Oasis Palm significantly overpromises and underdelivers. Between the reservation confusion at arrival, dirty bedding, visible structural damage, maintenance concerns, cold and flavorless food, lack of buffet replenishment, disruptive nightly noise, and what felt like deceptive reservation practices, this was not the relaxing vacation experience we expected. I would not recommend this resort and would strongly encourage others to carefully consider alternative options before booking.
- carlawO5191PP (4/5): Loud, unclean and overcrowded - This place is great if you enjoy a 24 hour party atmosphere and screaming children. If not, don’t go here!
The rooms have zero noise insulation and loud music is blaring until 3am every night.
The facilities are old. Rooms smell of mildew, public areas are dirty and don’t seem yo be cleaned often. The pool toilets were horrid and unusable.
The food wasn’t terrible but the buffet lines were too long and it’s nearly impossible to get a reservation at one of the sit down restaurants. The resort does not seem to have enough staff or amenities for the amount of guests at the property. The “bites” buffet area was incredibly crowded, hot and smelled of bleach.
We ended up leaving for another resort due to the noise and unpleasant environment.
- Curious778608 (8/5): Don't hesitate to book! - Just got back!! 🥁 loved it!!
Celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary, and for what we paid it was a bargain. Beach, awesome and very safe for small children. Food 7 out of 10. Once you get the hang of the app, or speak to the concierge desk, they will show you how to book the restaurants. Tip, get a private transfer, super quick and efficient. We paid extra through onthebeach. Pools started to warm up as we were leaving so you'll be fine. Kids loved it.
Pirate Ship, worth doing 100%.
Staff that we encountered were lovely!
Tip, Get a boat next door to isla mujeres, and get a golf buggy and tour the island and beaches, (we went three times) thank me later 😉
You can upgrade wristbands to black and use next doors restaurants, approx £40 per day/night per adult. We didn't as we were happy with tbe 3 a la cartes you get at grand oasis palm. Relax, dont stress, you'll have a blast! Enjoy!!
Family from the UK, 2 adults, 3 kids, 11, 5 and 4. PUP! ⚽️
- nancymU9775JE (8/5): Not a resort we'd come back too - Adequate but disappiontent with the upkeep example First room bathroom door jammed couldn't open it Moved to different room bathroom taps leak out onto counter Shower ran hot no cold water control
Room was dusty ie lamps had a coat of dust I have asthma this is an issue for me
As for the positives food variety was very good Lots of choice Service in the buffet & alacarte restaurants was excellent
- adamj719 (2/5): Honest review - don't spend your hard earned money here - Let me start this off by saying that I'm not a complainer. I have travelled quite a bit, particularly to Mexico. I know what to expect on a vacation like this. My wife and I have a young family, kids aged 3 and 6 and needed a break so booked a last minute trip to the Grand Oasis Palm in Cancun.
I'll start by saying, I should have read the reviews more carefully, as I can echo some of the sentiments in the more recent reviews. Even still, with a 4.0 out of 5 on trip advisor, I expected more, much more.
We were unable to spend any time in the pool, even on the hottest day, as the pool was absolutely freezing. I say this as a Canadian who can certainly handle the cold. There would be the odd person that would jump in, but they were out within seconds. Disappointing to say the least, as this is what my kids looked most forward to.
The sand on the beach was nice, but be warned, you need to get out to the chairs early, if you want a spot. I was there between 7 and 8 am most days to get a spot and at that point over 60% of the chairs were already taken. The ocean water was lovely and I did see them raking the beach in the mornings as well. However, when building sand castles with my kids, twice we noticed human feces wash ashore. This is quite obviously not the hotel intentionally doing it, but I'm sure boats are dumping near the inlet and it washes directly onto the beach.
The food at the buffet was awful. My wife is celiac and she was forced to live on eggs and fruit, due to 2 different gluten cross contamination incidents. The restaurants were okay, but the gluten free offerings were next to nothing. The lines to get into the buffet at peak times were upwards of an hour... so don't sleep in! We even had one morning where we arrived at 9:30 and were waiting to get into the "Bits and bites" buffet. It closes at 11, so we figured we had lots of time. We waited for approximately 40 mins before a staff member came up to us and said that we would not make the cut off for service and were asked to go to the main buffet, where the line was another hour long.
We paid for an upgraded room with a pool and ocean view. The view was pretty good, the rooms were dated, but average overall. This was not a disappointment as we don't spend much time in the room, other than to sleep. The issue was that the music would go on until midnight at the earliest and I'm sure the windows were single pane glass, which made it incredibly loud in our room. We ended up needing to downgrade the room to get to the backside of the hotel, which we were grateful for. The noise was less there and the kids could finally get to sleep.
Also... you can't flush toilet paper here, so be warned. All toiler paper goes into the garbage bin next to the toilet. Our kids did not understand at first, so we had a couple of incidents. I also feel that the resort may be understaffed with cleaners, as we had the door hanger on our door every day, mainly to remove the trash next to toilet, but they only came on two of the 8 days. First world problems, I know.
There is one thing that I didn't want to mention in this review, as it could have potentially been a number of coincidences, but I wanted to give a full review for people looking to book in the future. The majority of the guests are Spanish speaking, my family are not even though we try our best and always try to use manners in conversation. The bar, buffet and burger/hot dog stand lines are long and it seemed to me that several times as I, the gringo, would get to the front of the line, the attendant would stop service to go wash cups or have something else to do, after watching up to 10 people be served non-stop prior to me. I tipped, used manners and made my best attempt to make requests in Spanish, but this happened to me several times throughout our vacation. Call it a coincidence if you like.
I've never written a negative review about any resort or place of business in the past, so this speaks volumes to me. This has been long winded but to summarize, pay the extra money and go to another place where you can flush your toilet paper...
- troylA7300RO (8/5): We enjoyed our 4 nights stay. Thank you Grand Oasis staff! - Overall, we enjoyed our 4 nights stay at Grand Oasis Palm. A huge plus for us was that the resort has a great beach. Other resorts had unswimmable beaches. It’s more of a family resort, but the nightlife is close by in the hotel zone area about 10 min uber.
The buffets were good. Some great food and some not so great food options. But there is options at least!
We were unable to book a dinner reservation on the weekend which was dissapointing.
Besides that, that staff were very helpful and kind during our stay. It’s definitely not a ‘fancy’ hotel but it is nice, and clean which is important. If I were to stay in Cancun again, I might return here depending on the competition.
- roxhensas2025 (2/5): Worst resort, don’t get membership! - Worst resorts at all, I have silver plus membership at Oasis I had try all them locations, very old rooms , i have priority for reservations at restaurants and beaches ,but the staff still say this restaurant is not available this beach is not available, so don’t spend money for this resort. I should have room service free, but they said 18$ for person, food is not good at all location we tried, I’m very disappointed, staff is Zero helpful,
- Ken_in_Orleans (8/5): Three Star Resort with Five Star Staff - This was my second time at the Grand Oasis Palm in Cancun. Having had a fair amount of experience in the Cancun and the Mayan Riviera all the way to Tulum, I write this review with that experience in mind. While by facilities alone, I would call the Grand Oasis Palm only a three star, there were five star elements to it.
The staff at this resort were amazing, going out of their way to make us feel warmly welcomed and saw to any needs we had with the highest level of professionalism. This positive comment applies to all the staff from the beach bar, reception, serving staff and others who worked tirelessly, doing their best to make the vacationing experience as best possible.
As for food service, I will only comment on the buffet that had a large selection of well prepared and presented dishes to choose from. The soups were outstanding and the variety of sushi was surprisingly good.
The facility is a little weathered overall where it is overdue for renovations. The resort needs a lobby bar. Once the rain pounds, there is only one other day time bar on the Oasis side to get beverages (other than table service at the restaurants). The sports bar is limited in both size and drink selection. The busy beach bar is wonderful, but it definitely needs an additional bartender, or two.
I do recommend the Grand Oasis Palm in Cancun as a budget friendly, all inclusive resort but I do see this facility as a three star with five star staff and four star buffet, therefore overall, I selected four stars for this review.
- P1460OZjorgeg (10/5): Amazing vaction in the greatest place - Best place to enjoy vacations with family, clean rooms, amazing views, excellent services, lovely place, polite personnel and ready to help and assist, great experience, highly recommended
- charisssc (6/5): This is a family resort - We were placed at Grand Oasis Palm as part of a timeshare presentation, which we had to sit through. We were promised the stars and got the sand.
That said, this is a family resort, and if you have children, I would definitely recommend it. There is a lot going on for kids. They even have their own pirate ship that sails out into the ocean several times a week, which is pretty cool. The entertainment and shows were fantastic and very well done.
The food is about a 3-star experience. If you’re looking for gourmet options like prosciutto sandwiches or fancy fruit, you won’t find them here—but you definitely won’t go hungry. One thing I wasn’t a fan of is that they force you to download their app, which is the only way to book à la carte dinners and see daily activities.
The rooms were disappointing. My husband and I were given two twin beds instead of one bed, not by choice. We had no balcony, the safe was broken, and the bathroom smelled like mold, which made the entire room smell musty. Keeping the bathroom door closed helped a bit, but it wasn’t ideal.
The location is great. It’s about a 30-minute walk to downtown Cancun, where there are lots of restaurants, bars, and shopping. Just a 2-minute walk to the right of the resort is where the boats depart to the island (Isla Mujeres). You can spend the day there enjoying beautiful beaches, great restaurants, shopping, and even affordable massages. The island is about 7 km long and costs around $30 per person round trip, and the beach there is absolutely breathtaking.
There are also options for deep-sea fishing, Sea-Doo rentals, and other fun activities. You can hop on the local bus for $1 USD and ride up and down the hotel strip, which is very convenient.
One warning: to the woman on the beach offering hair braiding—never again. I let a random person braid my hair, and it was an awful job. I was not impressed.
As for the beach at the resort, it’s very small—you can walk from one end to the other in under a minute. It is clean, but there are not enough chairs, so many people end up sitting on their towels. On the plus side, there was very little seaweed, and overall the beach was nice.
Overall, despite a few frustrations, we had a great time. Hope this helps, and enjoy your trip!
- heathkelly2023 (6/5): Good - Rooms were dated without balcony. However; they were clean.
Food was good.
Resort bracelet opens room door. However; bracelet SHOULD be used when charging items to the room. When checking out, front desk said we had charges to our room that we did not use. Scanning bracelet would prevent unwanted charges.
- 747rahulk (2/5): Never come to this place even if you are on budget - Made the bigest mistake of life booking this filthy hotel. Never come to this place even if you are on budget and if it seems cheapest in the area. There is a reason that they are cheapest and it's not worth even your single penny. This place is full of disgusting dishonest liers from checking desk to customer service. In every area of service they fail miserablly. This is the first time I am leaving such a pathetic review while staying at the place. First it took me three hours for check in, after being tired from flying in. Second, despite my booking which said children are included with adult in the booking policy, they asked for extra hefty money for them, which I have to eventually pay for because the hotel denied to refund. (Thankfully I got that reimbursed from my card). I booked superior room being their O reward member which says sea view, but they gave me back street view which so much noise of cars and trucks that you can't sleep in night. Their was not a single night where I did not have to wake up due to a loud truck or bikers noise with a constant background noise. The room and moreover the bathroom is so small that you can barely stand in it without touching the walls, see the pictures attached. The rooms are also dirty and filthy with broken floor and walls with paint coming off, and when you ask you change it then don't even engage your request. I went to their customer support desk three days in a row to request change my room, but despite assurance on very first day they never did tha, while they kept chasing in new guest everyday. That's why it felt that they all were ill motivated and racially discriminating in prioritizing room as well as amenities to their own people rather than helping their foreign guests. They will leave the full trash can in the corridors in an enclosed heated sunny space, so that the moment you come out of elevators, you are sucked up into rotten smelling area like a sewage or landfill. Their is on a average 30 min to 1 hour line for every time you go for breakfast, lunch or dinner which is traumatizing and kills your hunger and mood. So much of wait time everywhere, whether food, games or activities. I wouldn't comment much on their mediocre food (like their fruit juices were just water with a tinge of fruit for flavor, but their hygiene is certainly questionable. See the picture of this dirty uncleaned glass on the glass counter which says it all. Even at their premium restaurant like las agave, we were given dirty uncleaned and stained spoons which suddenly filled us with disgust in the middle of our dinner. The worse are the pools always with cold water, even colder than ocean. It's not heated at all and neither any hot water tub or zuccuzi out side or inside. You need to pay 30$ for 30 min of hot tub at spa, which is mostly outside for common use at any decent hotel. This place is nothing beyond a highway motel with cheap food which also comes at so much of pain. I wish I could have changed my stay, but so much money wasted at this place and they ruin our new years and Cancun experience like hell. Certainly never coming back to this disgusting filthy place again! Hope this hotel AH MFs managers and customer care people read this review thousand times and feel the pain I am feeling every moment at this place. Bottomline "DONT COME HERE" to have some peace of mind!
- U5378VAkatej (2/5): Avoid at all costs. Especially families!! - I don’t even know where to start! This hotel is 1-2* at best and that’s only because the beach is lovely. So as a family of 5 arriving here in December 2025 we were greeted with unfriendly reception staff, and a hotel lobby that had a very disgusting smell. We travelled for 11 hours and thought it was just us being overly tired and not in the greatest of moods. We checked in and headed to our room. Which don’t expect to get in the only 1 lift that works as it has a line and people still
Push through. We headed to the stairs with 3 children and numerous suitcase and struggled our way up to the 3rd floor. When we opened the room we was all speechless in disgust. For one there was only 2 beds for 5 people even though we pre arranged another bed to be in the room, (don’t even bother phoning down to see if it’s on its way up as you will be greeted with bad customer service and putting the phone down on you mid conversation). The bathroom is pretty much see though, so if you don’t want your kids to see you in the shower then you better wear your swim costume 24/7. The bathroom was dirty. The toilet flush didn’t work and the mirror had scratches and stains all over it. The wardrobe - if you can even call it that - was a 2 door coat closet with 6 hangers that had to fit in 5 people’s clothes and the suitcases, as obviously there was not room to even walk past each other let alone store suitcases. When the 3rd bed finally did arrive, the mattress was that yellow it could have been brown. Frustrated and hungry we decided to go grab a quick tea from the buffet restaurant . I say buffet very lightly, there was 2 very small sections to choose from and both was completely unedible. We then had 3 kids starving and a tiny, dirty room. We headed back anyway to get some sleep where we was very reluctant to get in them beds. But don’t bother trying to sleep as the entertainment is that loud it felt like it was in our room. The next morning needless to say we checked straight out and booked another hotel. We couldn’t even spend 12 hours here. Alls I will say it’s like a local hotel. Don’t try and even find another English speaking person anywhere on the hotel grounds. Avoid the pool area as there are 10 sun beds that you cannot move so your kids are expected to play the other side of the pool area and you cannot move not see unless you want to get shouted at by staff for slightly moving a chair! The biggest thing that persuaded us to move hotels was how unsafe this hotel is.. no balcony just a window that doesn’t lock and is a Straight drop down, a shower with no drain just a huge hole in the uneven tiles, big gaps in the stair ways with very slippery floors. I have never left a review before good or bad but please be warned do not waste your money and have to spend twice like we did. Avoid this hotel at all costs!
- 858latarshab (2/5): Do no stay here if you don't want food poisoning - All U wanted for Christmas was to be in a warm place with decent food, drinks and my baby-luv... Instead I got only warmth,baby-luv and food poisoning that destroyed the entire trip. The food quality & preparations is unsanitary and taste-less. Lines on Christmas day (and every day after) were 2hrs long for all restaurants and they didn't take reservations for any restaurants unless it were the 2 you had to pay for and I was told even there food choices weren't good selections from other guest . second night stood on line for the Maki Taco restaurant for over an hr to be told we couldn't be seated because they closed at 9:30pm. The resort was severely under staffed. lot's of seating outside but we couldn't sit there, Did they forget it was a holiday week. Of course no because they took our money and checked us all in. I believe I got food poisoning from the pool bar/ food area where they were giving out barely cooked burgers & fries. Another guest was with me in the customer service office complaining about the same things and how this is disgraceful that they're serving such crap of food to us , but the staff looked uninterested in what we're saying to them. After a plate of cheese fries with pico on them 2hrs later I was feeling the effects... The rest of the trip went down from there. Tried to make dinner that night but after 2 1/2 wait for food again (we made the cut that night) my stomach couldn't do it and we had to leave.. it was so bad we had to call the hotel Dr because I had uncontrollable vomiting & diarrhea for hours with other symptoms... I was bed bound for the next 2 days until I could hold it together to catch a flight back to the states it was very scary for 2 of those days. I'm home now and stomach is still messed up after 4days!
This hotel is one that the locals come to with their families... This was the worst experience I've ever had in my life on vacation. Lines to eat at any time of the day!?! Insane! Food looked like uncooked, poor variety or just not safe to eat.
Do Not stay here! I wouldn't wish this experience on my worst enemy. If you stay (rooms I'd give 3star we stayed at the Sens)here don't eat or drink here unless it's from the coffee shops that's the only sanitary places we went to that cared about cleanliness .
- jessicatJ2292JK (2/5): AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!! DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ILL! - Worst holiday of my life! We booked for a week over Xmas & it was honestly the worst hotel we’ve ever been too! On day 3, we all got ill with a stomach bug as did EVERY other guest we spoke to. The hotel was completely infected. Prior to this, you had to queue for at least an hr every night to eat at the all inclusive restaurants & the food was awful. The drinks were cheap & nasty & undrinkable so we had to go out & buy our own & keep them in the fridge in the room. The beach stank of sewage. They’re were hardly any beach loungers so if you didn’t get there at 6am you had to sit on the sand all day. No Diet mixers for the kids, no chalk for the pool tables, queues for an hr to get into the shows. No blankets for the beds (clearly because everyone had the bug so they were all being washed) Please avoid this hotel. The staff were rude, no one cared we were all ill. Hotel was filthy. Just do not go there, book somewhere else. We all couldn’t wait to leave!! Worst holiday ever!
- deantE7735JY (2/5): SANITARY ALERT! Viral Outbreak and Deplorable Hygiene Conditions - Rating: ⭐ (1/5)
Avoid Grand Oasis, The Pyramid, and The Sens. A massive gastrointestinal outbreak is affecting nearly 80% of guests with severe vomiting and diarrhea. The hotel is hiding this crisis.
Critical Issues:
• Zero Hygiene: No soap or sanitizer in public restrooms or buffets.
• Contamination: Tables are never disinfected; pools are murky.
• Sewage: Strong stench of waste on the beach from suspected drainage leaks.
This is a serious public health hazard, not just bad service. Do not risk your family’s safety. Formal reports have been filed. Stay elsewhere to avoid getting sick.
- Foodconissiour (2/5): Im going back to the pyramid next year - My first time here was back in 2022
So I was eager to bring my family this year.it had changed so much and I did not enjoy it.we booked the grand thinking it was still the vip bracelet,to find the top room was the Sens.at check in they charge u 755 pesos (40$usd) ridiculous for environmental fees
Never had to pay such a high price for that before .we were only allowed to eat at 4/10 restaurants
2 of which were never open ,the food was the best part tho .the hotel structure was different and confusing, the bathroom occasionally smelled like sewage.when came time to check out they cut off your bracelets and you don’t get to keep it
Sad bcz I look forward to collect my oasis bracelets.next year I will be going back to the pyramid
It is way better priced than the grand oasis.this was one of my worst times at a oasis hotel and I’ve stayed at the sister companies atleast 5/6 x already
- jeffgV7281RM (4/5): Disappointing all around - We had booked a “five star hotel with king bed and an ocean view” for our 5-day anniversary vacation.
Instead we got a three star hotel with double-beds and view of the top of an adjoining building.
They knew we were arriving around noon — they had no room until 3:30. They did give us wristbands to get food, but no access to our bathing suits or a changing room.
The pool was small, the “pirate adventure” section was broken and closed. The beach was very small, crowded, and dominated by a loud guy playing loud music, and loudly trying to convince people to participate in his activities. The beachside bar was understaffed and had a limited selection.
There were only two restaurants available. One was outrageously priced. The other was a third rate buffet with mystery dishes labeled like “beef.”
We weren’t even put into the hotel we reserved. They put us into the adjoining hotel Sens, which was permeated with the smell of Pine Sol, and into the disappointing room already alluded to.
An all-around disappointment.
- Tonibufton (2/5): Not good so far! - Only arrived yesterday and it’s not recommended by me. The hotel stinks, certain floors are really bad. It’s like a waste smell. We’re on the 7th floor but only 1 lift works so it’s a long wait. We tried using the stairs but we have 3 young children and the stairs aren’t safe… concrete, all different heights and no signage so we ended up in the kitchen. Which smells even worse than the hotel! It was unbearable down there. The biggest problem we have is we paid for a room for 5 people… 2 double beds and a sofa. But we just got 2 double beds and now we’re being told there are no rooms for 5 people. We’re spending 2 weeks here and plan to look at our options today as we can’t manage in a room this small for 2 weeks. So if you’re a family of 5 definitely don’t book this hotel.
I do agree with the other reviews that the hotel is very dated and nothing like the photos.
On the plus side, the staff have been very nice so far and were happy to be in Cancun.
- 975drinas (10/5): Thanks - We enjoyed our first big family vacation at Grand Oasis Palm. The rooms were clean, location was great and close to Isla Mujeres ferry, lots of pools to choose from, and decent dining options. The beach area was nice too. The lines were long at the buffets and bars and limited kid-friendly food choices but we had a Miguel as our server three times and he went above and beyond for us. Miguel was able to get us seated quickly and he was able to get my picky kids quesadillas and rice. He had the best service. Overall we had a great time and would come back again.
- F4691HZkylek (4/5): Group Stay at Grand Oasis Palm — A Disappointing Experience Overall - We traveled as a group of nine (two families of four and one single) and unfortunately encountered numerous issues during our stay.
Rooms & Reservation Limitations
The rooms were far smaller than advertised and didn’t resemble the photos online. One of our rooms had no hot water for the entire stay. When we asked about upgrading—willing to pay any necessary difference—we were told it wasn’t possible because we hadn’t initially booked two separate room reservations. For a resort trying to provide service, this felt unnecessarily restrictive.
Pool seating was extremely limited, and unlike many other resorts, there was no indoor or covered common area with tables and chairs. Since the first couple of days were rainy, this meant we had nowhere dry to sit except our rooms.
Dining, Drinks & App Problems
The resort requires restaurant reservations through an app. While it allowed us to book for all nine people, we were separated into different tables every time we arrived. Lines for drinks and food were consistently long, and drink quality varied dramatically from bar to bar. One evening in the sports bar, the bartender took only part of our order and then walked away to serve someone else.
The sports-bar arcade was poorly maintained, with many games turned off or not functioning at all.
Service & Atmosphere
Service throughout the resort felt inconsistent. As English speakers, we often received noticeably less attention than Spanish-speaking guests. While the resort seems to cater more to locals, the service gap was hard to ignore.
Beach & Accessibility
One day, someone defecated in the ocean and the waste floated near the shore, which understandably disrupted our beach plans. Additionally, buses cannot physically fit onto the property, so we had to be dropped off and picked up on the street rather than at the entrance. This was inconvenient, especially with luggage and children.
Highlights
The bright spots of our trip came from the sister resort Sens. Adrian at the bar and Hervin on the Sens beach provided outstanding service—friendly, attentive, and always helpful. The resort towels were also large, soft, and genuinely adult-sized.
Conclusion
Despite a few standout staff members at the sister property, the Grand Oasis Palm itself suffers from too many issues related to room quality, service consistency, layout, and guest experience. We would not return based on this stay.
- pgodbout (8/5): Poor to great in 5 days. - Ar first, we weren't impressed. The drinks were bad, the food was worse. We also had a small room without a view, two full beds on the small side and 5 of us staying. We paid the 1000+ to upgrade to a family suite at the palms. What a difference a room can make. Between that and finding the good bar (the one by the main pool at the Syn) and the better restaurants, life changed. Get the frozen daquiris and pina coladas. They even cooked up our fresh caught barracuda from our fishing adventure.
- 686jain (2/5): DO NOT GO HERE! Disappoint awaits - Check in desk very busy. 4 people there only 1 working 3 just standing around. No eye contact or acknowledging waiting customers. Didn’t get my luggage for 6 hours after 3 calls to guest service.
For some reason, room is equipped with a safe from the 50’s with an actual lock I have to administer with a lock that was never given to me when checking in
Shower! Temperature does not get hot. Gets somewhat warm and varies wildly due to time of day. Not even warm at times, simply cold. Maintenance offered no assistance, they don’t comprehend the concept of a hot shower.
Looking for ginger ale, cream for your coffee or even Apple juice. NOPE
Food is disgusting. Food that may be reasonable is only available for extra cost
Celebrating Mom’s 83rd. Didn’t care at all. Nothing special for my elderly Mom probably on her last trip
DO NOT GO HERE! It’s pitiful and the staff show no compassion, empathy or care of guests. We seem to be a nuisance to them
Bulldoze the place and start again
- jessicarJ6303OH (10/5): A Hotel With a Soul - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5-Star Review – Gran Oasis Palm Hotel (Cancún)
Stay: October 19–26
Our experience at Gran Oasis Palm was, without exaggeration, unforgettable. We traveled as a family to celebrate two very special occasions: one of our children’s birthday and our oldest son’s engagement. From the moment we arrived, the hotel and its amazing staff made each celebration feel unique, personal, and truly meaningful.
We have stayed in high-end hotels before, some with international certifications in customer service, but nothing compares to what we experienced here. There may be larger, more modern, or more luxurious hotels out there, but when it comes to genuine hospitality, warmth, and human connection, Gran Oasis Palm stands in a category of its own — with no competition.
if we talk about, Restaurant Service – Truly Exceptional
We want to express our sincere appreciation to the Food & Beverage team, especially the servers at Agave and Cocoa:
Ignacio Alcudia Rodríguez
Alexander
Luis Castro Hernández
Jesús Lázaro Romero
Their kindness, joy, professionalism, and sincere service made every meal special. They didn’t just “serve” us — they made us feel at home. Their smiles, attention to detail, and natural warmth are the kind you never forget. They are a big reason why we want to return.
The Hidden Hero was Esmeralda Santos Romero
We also want to recognize someone who does a job most people never see — but should absolutely be celebrated.
Mrs. Esmeralda Santos Romero, from the public areas / housekeeping team, is a true star. We met her several times while she was cleaning the restrooms by the bar and other common areas. It is a tough job, often unnoticed, but she did it with love, dedication, pride, and a beautiful smile every single time.
While others would close the restroom to clean, she never did. She would always say kindly, “Go ahead, don’t worry,” and still left everything spotless. As a mother of four, I spent a lot of time in those areas with my kids, and I had the chance to see her work many times — always with the same positive spirit.
She is the kind of person who reminds you that true hospitality comes from the heart, not from a job title. We hope management recognizes her, because she is one of the reasons this hotel has a soul.
Another Hero Without a Cape was, Enoc, Our Room Attendant.
Enoc was in charge of our room, and we cannot thank him enough. Traveling with three small children means our room could get messy very fast — yet every day, he left it spotless, fresh, and even added thoughtful little details that made us feel truly special.
We saw him working early in the morning and still working late at night, always with patience, kindness, and genuine care for his work. People like him are the heart of true hospitality.
A Hotel With a Soul, Gran Oasis Palm offers something very rare: it feels like home. It’s a warm, welcoming environment where smiles are sincere and service comes from the heart, not from a script.
We know there are many more people behind the scenes that we didn’t get to meet, but we are sure they are all part of this incredible team effort that made our stay so memorable.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for an experience we will never forget.
Thank you for the kindness, the celebrations, and the way you made us feel valued.
Thank you for proving that true luxury is not found in buildings or décor — it is found in people.
Yes, we will return. And we strongly recommend that others give themselves the chance to experience this hotel the way we did.
The Rivero Family
- Chadjackson1977 (10/5): Still impressed on 2nd visit - So glad to be back here 3 years after our first visit.
This time we have opted for the "Grand"Oasis Palm after staying at the Oasis Palm on our first visit, and whilst the latter was a great way to start our experience of Mexico, we are finding that the Grand suits us a little better now that the children are old enough to appreciate some of the fine dining available with this accommodation option.
The rooms are similar in both hotels, and service in our opinion is still fantastic across the board.
We found the pool in the grand to be quite calm, with more shaded areas and trees dotted around to protect us from the sun.
Although there are some amazing shows put on by the entertainment team, the hotel lacks any areas to sit down for a drink around a table unless your party are all over 18 and can use the cantina, or any of the other "adult only" bars.
The introduction of the Oasis app has been been a great help, as booking a la carte restaurants last time was difficult (but not impossible) because our Spanish speaking was minimal to say the least.
Coming back after 3 years and seeing the changes made are a sign that the management are actively looking for ways to improve the hotel and the services and facilities available, and that feedback given by customers is being acted upon.
We still have a few days left, and will add to this review if necessary.
- jahkeew (10/5): Great experience - Bryan was great very friendly definitely recommend the food was excellent so savory finger licking good 10/10 service was the best
- Yolanda Ivonne Hernandez (10/5): - Ok, poor customer service
- Hugo (6/5): - It was ok for what it is described before booking and we basically just showered and slept there for the most part. We had issues with the bathroom from when we arrived where the shower would flood the whole bathroom due to no door. They finally moved us to a new room when the toilet wouldnt flush. Pools were ok but they didn't really have any activities going on like at other properties we have stayed at.
- shane (6/5): - Great beach
- Andres (10/5): - staff was great, loved it
- Maria Teresa (8/5): - Everything was good and the employees are very nice
- Oluwaseun (2/5): - This property looks clean from the outside but the rooms and restrooms are so horrible and dirty
- JAMIE (6/5): - While we have visited this resort many times and appreciate the upgrades, it was an inconvenience. Also customer service was lacking a bit this time, new faces not as pleasant as the old ones. When stating no thank you to excursions, was met with attitude. Im on vacation , let me be.
- Erica (4/5): - Like - rooms felt safe. Beautiful beach access. Cery decent coffee. Fresh fruit available.
Didnt like - felt rundown. Food at buffett and a la carte restaurants was not good. Rooms are small. Mirrors are peeling. Vents are dirty. 3rd floor roof tops, visible from 5th floor are filthy. Elevator stopped working with people inside.
- Nora (2/5): - I don’t liked
- Monica (4/5): - The sale people that want to sell you a membership! Very pushy and they get you the minute you check in the hotel.
- Armando (8/5): - The beach was beautiful, the service was great, the only thing is that they need to update the rooms and some places of the hotel/building
- jairum (10/5): - Staff
- sheena (6/5): - We enjoyed our stay. Would recommend especially with kids. Beach was perfect for little ones.
- Frances Cj (8/5): - Good Hotel with good staff
- Carlos Osorio (10/5): - Second time at Grand Oasis and it never disappoints!
- alicia (6/5): - This is my 3rd time going there.
They relly need to do some updating and upgrading on everything.
There was construction from 10am to 5pm in the building there was no notifications about construction and that was really annoying if you just wanted to relax in your room.
There are no beach chairs from 8am, the beach was a bit dirty.
They workers are over worked there.
Its a beautiful hotel, but please do some major upgrade in every thing.
They really need to update there chef in cooking especially the buffet.
- Romuald Ndal Ebar (6/5): - My family and I couldn’t sleep or nap during the day for all our stay because of the noises of construction works. Unbearable noises while we had little children. Other than that, things were ok
- Samina (4/5): - Dirty
- Diana (4/5): - I booked at Grand Oasis and was told my room was at sister resort not what I chose
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Horrible experience. Aside from all of the safety issues we had booked a 6 night stay. We only stayed one night and the hotel refused to refund us for the 5 nights we didn’t stay. Buyer beware, this hotel and Travelocity have some kind of scam going on between them. Don’t use Travelocity to book and don’t stay at the hotel.
- Mayra (10/5): - The service was excellent
- Rosario (10/5): - El hotel hermoso y muy limpio
La comida muy buena y mucha variedad, la atención también maravillosa es un lugar céntrico donde puedes encontrar de todo y volveríamos de nuevo
- Joel Alexander Rodríguez (2/5): - Worst hotel , food and service the only good service was from rodolfo at cocoa restaurant
- Holette (8/5): - Everything was so close even the beach, I like that.
- Maria Guadalupe (10/5): - I love ❤️ everything
- Iryna (6/5): - Food was not good. I am not a picky eater. I understand that it is not a 5 star hotel. But!! Usually you can find at least some safe choices like pasta or chicken and salad But even pasta and bread were not great. Overcooked. Big variety, but nothing tasted great by some reason.
Special dining restaurants were better, but also nothing outstanding. Not easy to make reservation. But we did try 3. Los Agaves was our favorite (service was great here)
Makitaco was also pretty good.
Room was ok. They cleaned every day. But toilet kept on breaking
The biggest issue for me was that in a huge 2 meter deep pool there was only one lifeguard. He was also not always paying attention. Although he did save someone at some point.
I liked that they had a coffee shop. And there was no issue finding a seat at the beach.
Seaweed at the beach was cleaned only once during our stay.
- 574melinac (2/5): HORRIBLE HOTEL! DON’T STAY! - If I could give a negative rating, I would — but since there’s no option for that, 1 star will have to do, though it’s more than they deserve.
First of all, there is no AC in the hotel. With the heat and humidity, it was miserable just standing at the reception. We visited in August, and it was overcrowded everywhere — but I believe it’s like this from June to August.
The restaurants were terrible. The food was awful, and there were flies everywhere, which made it hard for me to eat anything. The rooms were old, dirty, and had a strange smell.
The elevators? They didn’t work half the time. We stayed on the 6th floor, and there were times we had to take the stairs. Even when they worked, there was no AC inside, so when it was crowded, it was unbearable.
And the worst part — I came back to my room to put my toddler down for a nap and there was NO WATER. I’ve never been to a hotel where the water just stops working. I was shocked and furious.
We based our trip on good reviews, but honestly, I have no idea how anyone could recommend this place.
- Juana (6/5): - - I like the convinience of how close
- Sallina (8/5): - Good
- Maria Elena (8/5): - I like the food it was very good and tasty also like the pool and beach service was nice the only think I didn’t like is the service at the coffee shop the employees are not nice and they always were kind of rude. Everything else love it.
- Czarina (4/5): - I can say thay most staff are very good in the food service and rom service. However, our main issue is the resraurant availability. A lot of times during the day, many of the restaurants while we were there were not open. While they boast of 8 resraurants in ther website, only 2 is usually open during the day, and at dinner time the additional 2 or 3 restaurants require reservation. We usually end up falling in limr for 30 minutes or over for the buffet that serves "not very appetizing" menu.
We missed the private shuttle when we checked out because the hotel personnel signed on the paper that we were not there, when we actually were there an hour early for pick up so how could we have missed the transportation? He said he radio'd the front desk however we dis not grt notified, resulting for us to totally miss our already late shuttle. The manager of the hotel did not help either. They are not customer service driven, as he is not proactive in helping solve our issues, almost defending their staff for signing off that we were not there when in fact we have been waiting for our shuttle in the lobby for more than one hour. We had to take another transportation by getting a taxi to take us to the airport, almost missing out flight by a heartbbeat. The unnecessary stress could have been avoided to the already not very pleasant stay.
- Victor hugo (10/5): - very good
- karennU2658SW (2/5): Don't let the pictures fool you! - Don't be deceived by its looks, this place was a dump! First when we arrived at the hotel they took us to this room on the side to check in. I thought this was strange because in the 40+ years I've been traveling, this had never happened before. There was a big group of people just hanging in a big group in the lobby. Well, it turns out that none of our rooms were ready but they made sure they took us aside to get our money and credit card info. By this time its after 12 noon and people had been waiting since 9am. The manager would not come out to talk with us. We were told that we had to wait until 3:30 pm for our rooms. Now they had all of our arrival times because I sure the information sheet when we got there! No matter what time you get there your room should be ready! No where but a 2 stall to change your clothes and no air conditioning! Most bathrooms only had one stall! It was a mess! And that was only the beginning! This place has NO room service. All of the families with there children and NO ROOM SERVICE! WOW! TV didn't work, the cable only had a few channels and none of them worked. Had to call for repair. There was no hot water and we had to call for repair. The amstar representative NEVER came to the facility! Normally, the rep is there regularly to assist with excursions, activities and return to the airport arrangement. But this one NEVER came nor called! Most workers were nice but some were over doing it and picking on people for no good reason! I've stayed on other Oasis properties before but I will NEVER stay with them again!
- zarad948 (2/5): Worst hotel experience of my life – we left after 12 hours of a 10 night stay - I’ve never written a review before but from start to finish this hotel was tragic.... so it deserves nothing less.
Check-in took 2 hours to check in despite only 2 people being ahead of us. The staff were unbelievably rude and claimed they couldn’t speak English to avoid dealing with issues. Even with my booking confirmation they couldn’t find our reservation and eventually placed us in a room next to reception temporarily until they could speak to our travel agents (UK time was 1am)
The reception area itself had heaps of mould on the ceiling but they masked the smell with overpowering air fresheners. The second we walked into our room the stench of damp and mould hit us like a ton of bricks which was absolutely horrific. The room was damp, filthy, and nothing like the edited AI photos they advertise online. I actually ended up sleeping in the clothes i travelled in and refused to get under the covers - i honestly would rather be in my own filth than that filth.
Our room was right next to an arcade...kids were screaming and playing until 5 am and at one point a grown man was singing nursery rhymes to them at 3am to notch for a solid hour. The kid to adult ratio was about 10 kids to every 1 adult and everyone there seemed to be local families. Zero chance of sleep or any form of relaxation.
Because they couldn’t find our booking on check in we were given 'lesser' all-inclusive privileges and told we could only use certain ‘restaurants’. Food was bog standard – you’re fine if your happy to survive off pasta and pizza.
After just 12 hours of what was supposed to be a 10 night stay we called our travel agent and arranged to move to another hotel.
We ended up staying at an adults-only resort and it was a dream – the best time we’ve ever had. It was a very expensive move but worth every penny to escape this place.
Unless your a local, PLEASE LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS AND AVOID AT ALL COSTS BEOFRE YOU BOOK HERE!!
- puneet (8/5): - Rooms are not soundproof… in the night it’s was disturbing any noise came from corridor.
- joshuacH8665OZ (2/5): Stay away. Please - Ive never written a review on a resort before, but I thought it was my duty to tell you, STAY AWAY. I have stayed at many resorts and this was by far the worst. The check in process was an argument, that really set the tone. They got our room reservations all wrong and did not want to fix it. They were rude and staff don't care. Please. I beg you. Look elsewhere.
- Ramona (8/5): - More food options and more flavor.
- johanna (6/5): - Our stay was good. The only thing we didnt like was that it was wayy too over crowded.
- Cesar (8/5): - The resort was spacious and clean. The elevators are way too small for the amount of people staying there however and would often have a wait time of about 5m just to get on.
- Christina (8/5): - There was construction happening during our stay right under our room that was so loud. We had to move rooms the 2nd day due to the noise. The pool bars were under staffed and you had to wait in long lines just to get a drink. The staff was nice when interacted with them but no one was over the top or went out of their way to assist with anything. It is a middle of the barrel resort that was confusing to know where you could and could not go due to the 3 resorts connected. There was hardly any AC in main buildings, the arcade area what a sweat shop with broken pool ques and tables. We probably won't return as there was just too much that wasn't good.
- Cassandra (2/5): - Worst experience ever! Too much to say and not enough space! Go see my Google review on this place. I highly recommend you believe all the bad reviews. Normally I try to get my own opinion as I feel some people over exaggerate but, this time I should have listened to them and got my money’s worth by booking somewhere else!
- Ferewini (2/5): - The service was very bad also food was terrible
- julia (4/5): - Unfortunately, our experience at Grand Oasis Palm Cancun was disappointing.
The elevators rarely worked properly, often requiring long waits or using the stairs.
The hotel interior, the levators and room corridors were uncomfortably warm, with poor ventilation and no air circulation.
At the beach, there were long lines for both food and drinks, making it hard to enjoy the experience.
The room was very outdated and poorly maintained, and the bathroom was in even worse condition, showing signs of wear and lack of upkeep.
The beach in front of the hotel is absolutely beautiful, with warm and Cristal water, but the hotel infrastructure and service need significant improvement.
- Mariglen (10/5): - Very good place with a family and good food!
- Stephen (8/5): - Not enough bartenders
- Lorenc (10/5): - Was very nice
- Jassy Ivellise (2/5): - I booked one Hotel. And was placed in another. They were connected. And we had had access. My biggest complaint is. The food offered was not good. The resturants you had to make reservations for offered almost the same thing in the buffet. Not much to do outside. You have to take transportation. Out because the hotel night life was nonexistent everything was watered down
- Marco (8/5): - .
- Joanna (10/5): - Not berry clean
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not a great experience - rude girl on the coffee shop area, forts & cups were dirty and we experienced bed bugs
- Diki (10/5): - Hotel is very good and food and all services
- Shakhzoda (10/5): - Good
- Carlos (10/5): - Everything was excellent.
- Garcia, Yazmin (8/5): - Air conditioning was not working well and there are too many people inside the hotel trying to sell you tour packages.
- Stephanie (10/5): - Family friendly resort with great customer service. Restaurants & beach were great. Standard room but water pressure in the shower was horrible. Would stay here again
- Maricela (2/5): - The oasis tours sell packages and dosent included everything that they tell you I hade two cases were I felt very uncomfortable I was made feel I didn’t belong there
- Neccy (10/5): - We loved this place
- Paulique (10/5): - Staff were friendly. The resort location was very nice. The beach was quiet, calm and very nice. We liked the hammocks in the water. We also enjoyed the lounge chairs in the pool. The pool was as also very nice. We enjoyed the restaurants. You have to reserve on the hotel app same day or before and it was well worth it. We also liked the free pirate boat road. This is a nice play to stay with family with small children.
- Praveen Kumar Bangalore (10/5): - Excellent amenities and surroundings
- John (2/5): - I was booked twice by grand oasis because the app malfunctioned. The customer service is atrocious. stay far away from the grand oasis anything it is utter and total crap. I asked for a refund and they ignored me so I was charged twice on the same day for two different locations. I am going to file a lawsuit.
- Krista (2/5): - Booked Grand Oasis Palm but they put us in the Sens next door. However they failed to mention they were doing construction, which is not good trying to get a toddler to nap. Then a huge pirate statue fell on my sister and they could’ve cared less. At least they sent guys out to fix it. Thankfully it didn’t fall on a child. Our toddler got sick and we asked for sheets and told them at 6 am and at 6:30am. Sheets arrived 7 hours later and then they called wanting to charge us extra for finding vomit on the sheets and not notifying them. Food wasn’t good either and it took forever for them to put new food out at the buffet.
- Stephanie (6/5): - I liked that is a very family friendly resort. I enjoyed the many restaurants. And the super calm beach.
