The jacuzzi was full of moulds and when i tried to turn it on, bits of dirt came out of the water outlet. The metal part of the shower hose was detached, only being held by tape. The exhaust wasnt working, the light bulb inside the orange box on the mirror wasnt working. The remote of the aircon unit is broken, only being held by tape too.

- Christopher (4/5): - *I know a lot of reviews of this hotel are glowing but I urge you to read the Google reviews to get a clearer picture. Had we had read them I don’t think we would have booked this hotel. * The best way I could describe this hotel is a hostel with private rooms. I have stayed in hostels around Europe with the same service for much less money. I honestly would say that this place isn’t worth 4 stars. We were told to move after our first night due to deep cleaning. And we were given a much worse room than that we had paid for. It’s important to note that we weren’t the only ones. The entire 2nd floor was emptied. When we asked if any other rooms were available, there wasn’t any and no compensation was offered. The air conditioning in the room was broken and made such a loud noise that you couldn’t sleep, the bathroom was tiny as was the room itself, and the double bed was just two mattresses with a sheet over it. Also in the bathroom they only give you three small sachets of soap and no shampoo etc were provided (again makes it feel like a hostel). Additionally, the pictures have clearly been taken with a wide angle lense as they are quite small in reality. If you want a great location and that’s all you care about this hotel is really good. But if you wanted a nice hotel “experience” you can get a lot better for your money. The staff were friendly but weren’t sympathetic to the issues that we brought to their attention.

- chloedE5188SG (2/5): Rotten Orange - We booked the Junior Suite in this 4 star hotel as a treat because it included a large bath and the hotel had a rooftop restaurant. Upon arrival, we were advised to enter via the back entrance by a hotel staff member and no help was offered to carry our cases up the steep stairs to reception. The main entrance also inc. steep stairs. The receptionist was friendly and helpful and advised us to leave our luggage in a communal waiting room downstairs, as check-in was not until 3pm. Our luggage was not securely locked away. Once in the room we noticed the dirty, sticky head/back rest attached to the bath and were very disappointed. Everything was grubby, dusty or sticky - surfaces, blinds, floors, shower inc. mould. The shaving mirror glass was broken, the tissue box empty & not even a bottle of water was offered in the room. Several lights didn’t work, there were just two sockets - one USB by the bed & a plug by the desk. The rooftop bar/restaurant did not exist and there was no lighting on the 4th floor exterior which inc. a smoking area beside several metal gas tanks! The wellness centre was closed. I complained to the manager about the dirty bath and room that evening, who told me he would come to look at it shortly - he never came. This hotel is a travesty. It doesn’t have any tof he facilities/services listed on the hotels.com site. How it has a 4 star rating beggars belief.

- angelikakX4448BB (2/5): Shabby chic but great location - This was a 4 stars hotel maybe 10-15 years ago, now it is not even 2stars. The once nice furniture is now shabby, as is the bathtub. Everything scratched and rusty No soap, no napkins, no courtesy set, just 2 little soap sachets. Aircondition old and full of dust. The bed hard and with squeaky bedsprings.. the positive points are the location and that the room in all it’s shabbyness was perfectly clean.

Staff on arrival claimed no such correspondence had been received and basically falied to acknowledge it despite my proof when presented. An additional €60 later i was allocated a different room. Bedding, blankets specifically, were sub standard quality and looked about 30 years old. TV didnt work.

- AmilaX (6/5): Close to Vatican - The place is close to the Vatican and the city centre, plenty of restaurants around. The room is pretty small but clean. The staff was quite friendly. The hotel is bit aged and the bathroom facilities aren't that great either. The in room AC is full of dust and has not been cleaned for last 20 years at least.

- Fazakerley71 (2/5): Awful! - Do not book this hotel. The rooms are shabby, dirty and certainly not as they look in the pictures! You are provided with 2 very flimsy pillows and a very thin blanket. On night 1 we asked for extra pillows and a blanket as we were cold we were told that was all they could supply. Raised it with love holidays that night they said to take pictures etc of the room and that they would contact the hotel. We went to reception the next morning to raise the issues again I was informed we would get more pillows and a blanket. Nothing came again asked but still didn’t arrive with what we had asked for. The dust in the air con unit was I would say 2cm thick and with my daughter being asthmatic this aggravated her asthma.The whole room is sub standard and filthy. On the 3rd night we were provided with one extra pillow ! We should have been there for 4 nights but we couldn’t stay for the final night as it was so bad. We then had to be out of pocket to book somewhere for our final night. We informed reception that we were leaving and asked for a refund on the tourist tax for the one night which we were told we would receive in 3.-4 days this still has not been received despite us emailing them! DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL it’s disgusting.
- Q1499GSsues (10/5): Lovely...if dated hotel ..very clean ..lovely staff. - When reading the reviews for this Hotel..I had concerns but...it suited all our needs very close to the vatican...very clean..the bed was changed daily fresh towels too lovely and soft...staff were very helpful and informative...however the hotel is tired and there is no roof top bar or hot tub...we wandered each night found an aray of lovely restuarants close by serving lovely food and drinks.

- O1199MGmichellel (2/5): Not 4star accommodation - Gave us a single bedroom upon arrival, when we paid for a double standard. Had to share a single bed with my 6ft 2 partner for the first night. Room full of ants. No electricity on the second day until late in the afternoon, so had no shower or way to charge our phones. Roof terrace and bar not open. No restaurant. Therefore no where to just relax after a busy day as unable to stay in the room for long as there is minimal lighting as all bulbs are covered with a orange filter, making it impossible to see anything. TV did not work. As the room is rated 4star, we had to pay the top end of city tax per night, per person. This is a 2 star hotel at best.
- RamiJJ (2/5): Worst hotel I have been in - One of the worst hotels I've ever been in. No bathroom amenities at all. Spent two days asking for soap and shampoo. After first day of using the hand towel, they took it away and never replaced it. Two days with NO hot water and the excuse was "can't find spare parts to fix the machine". Very old and noisy air conditioning unit with a remote control that doesn't even work. Terrible dark room. One night I came back to find the room door left open. Even with the "not bad" location, never stay in this hotel.

Nachdem angeblich kein anderes Zimmer mehr frei war (auf Expedia zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch einige Zimmer verfügbar) hat uns die unfreundliche Rezeptionistin einfach noch ein Leintuch in die Hand gedrückt und meinte wir sollen es doch einfach über die Flecken ausbreiten. Generell ist das Personal nicht sehr bemüht. Die Einrichtung ist total demoliert - alles wackelt. Die Wände im Zimmer sind mit grauem Stoff bezogen - der Stoff war total staubig sodass auch Nicht-Allergiker zu Allergikern werden. Lage nicht ideal da alles (bis auf den Petersdom) sehr weit zu Fuß ist. Alles in allem schlecht. Positives: Vergleichsweise relativ günstig - aber der Preis erklärt so einiges…

- annapZ8519IW (2/5): Terrible - The hotel promised everything you’d want from a hotel, including hot tub and loungers on a roof top space. The reality was far from this. We had no electricity for two nights (only booked for three nights), so no phones charged and had to hang around to get it fixed. Couldn’t even get a coffee in the hotel she pointed us to a cafe outside when we asked. Room was disgusting frayed decaying laminate. The bed had only 2 pillows, 1 sheet and an uncovered old duvet. This and more has been reported to “love holidays “ and I have heard nothing since. I was astounded to see it’s still on their website. Don’t go near it !
- Theresa (4/5): - Location was great. Young staff members were polite but didnt have any answers. The rooms were NOT sound proofed, as stated on their website. Roadworks were so loud the room was shaking and you could hear people chatting in the corridor. We found that the terrace gad been closed for 6 months, which is one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. This was so disappointing. The room was cleaned daily and towels changed regularly but there was a squashed bug on the wall all week.
- 962jaza (2/5): THE WORST HOTEL IN ROME - When I arrived, the place did not have soap that I requested at the reception and it was never provided, until a waitress was seen, the bathroom had damage to the shower and was dirty in the part where the soap went, they charged for the use of the iron. , the television without the possibility of use due to its arrangement, the uncomfortable beds, the bad water pressure.

The orange sign helps find the hotel. Over all it was a good stay, Throughout or trip in Italy we have seen a lot of rooms and this wasn't the worst we have seen.

- Isis (8/5): - Thank you to all. Peaceful Hotel and walkable everywhere. I did not see any extra amenities except the WiFi. I have an inconvenience with my reservation dates and we had a miscommunication situation..they said they will not charge extra but at the end they did charge me and that was not ideal since they told me first they will not charge. Regardless thanks anyways, but it’s not pleasant what had happened.
- Denise (4/5): - The pictures on the website are not up to date. There is no roof top bar and the rooftop spa/hot tub did it have any water and was dirty. Our door had to be splayed to close and after a day out we returned to find the door open where staff did not close for behind them after cleaning. One of our rooms the tv did not work. No cups in room for bathroom and no coffee. When asked we were told they stopped coffee in 2920 with Covid. We had to go outside hotel to get food or drinks. Would not recommend to stay in. Do not let the pictures fool you.
- Ally (6/5): - Overall decent stay for the price, the ac doesn’t work but most hotels in Italy don’t have working ac so we weren’t too bothered by that. Our safe wasn’t easy to get working and the fridge wasn’t working which was inconvenient and it’s pretty loud as the walls are thin. But it’s in a great area lots of amazing restaurants especially the one next door and a quick walk to things like the Vatican. Check in process was super easy and the staff is very friendly and accommodating as we had to stay an extra night last minute due to a train strike and they accommodated us right away even though the request was very last minute. Overall a pretty decent place to stay if you want to be central to everything but save some money.

- Charsa (8/5): Rome weekender - We spent a fantastic weekend in Rome where we stayed at the Orange Hotel. The location of the hotel is perfect, and only minutes away for the Vatican City and Sistine chapel. It is also a great location for service buses, breakfast cafes and metro. The suite that we had was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. On leaving we accidentally left our jackets which were returned to us by the very helpful staff, grazie mille.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Mediocre at best - The location of the hotel was good. BUT this hotel has seen better times. The positive: Good location in Prati very near the Vatican, bus stops, shops and walkable from the metro. We asked to be relocated because the first room wasn’t very nice which they did with little hesitation. The new room had good air conditioning and was clean. The price is we paid was fair for what it is and how late we booked The areas of improvement: The hotel decor is TIRED. So much so that it feels seedy. The bed is hard and we didn’t sleep well for two nights. The windows are thin if noise bothers you. The rooftop (which is what made us book in the first place) was closed for refurbishment which was disappointing While the hotel boasts to be a 4 star, it isn’t.

- Gionata (10/5): - Expected tiny room but it was decent for the square footage and cleanliness. I'd stay here again. Staff was friendly. Cute decor. Lots of restaurants within 4 blocks. 1 mini suoermarket too. Is really close to Vatican. Is a hike from train (S.Pietro), so take a $8 taxi. 1 Usb plug. Safe, fridge, closet too. Has small elevator. Negs: tv was 16". No shampoo. A/C shrills but was nice. Noisy street at 5 am garbage men. And thin walls, could here next room. No restaurant noise on our side.

- Christine (1/5): Disgusting, crummy hotel. Management Refused to refund us even after seeing photos of our dirty shower and bedsheets. - Nothing ! Except The location is not too bad. Our room was disgusting. This is NOT a 4 star hotel! We immediately went to front desk and asked for a better room but he said this was not possible as they were full. We said we did not want to stay there. He had no solution, and even told her we had a ‘luxury’ room!The bathroom’s shower had mold, hair left on the walls, the stall covered with some orange plastic that was peeling.. we asked for blanket ( there were only bedsheets on the bed) and he brought ont while we went for supper. We searched for another place to move to and found something for the following day ( we had pre-paid for three nights). It was dark and we stayed the first night . When we woke up, we saw everything in daylight : the blanket he brought us had brown stains! The shower full of mold, the AC leaking on the floor , the weird walls covered with a grey cloth, the overall state of the room that needed a major over-haul. And the restaurant was closed- so no breakfast included. We went downstairs and told the front desk man we were leaving and asking for a refund. He spoke to his boss and offered an upgrade , as now it was suddenly available . We said it was too late, he should have told last night! And oh! They were going To give us breakfast at a next door restaurant if we stayed, but not if we left, but they still refused to reimburse us. I showed him all the pictures we took in the room: he didn’t seem to think the state of the room was wrong! He said his boss would get back to me later that day, but he never did. I wrote to this complaint department again next day, and the response was still the same: no refund, except for the city tax if I followed some process ( which I’m still waiting for).

We asked to see the terrace because that's what they publish and was ugly the spa (jacuzzi ) is very ugly, dirty without water.

The hotel was remote to the metro close by, restaurants, and hot spots. Nothing to complain about. We asked for a kettle which was initially not in our room and the staff were so friendly to even provide it to us during night time.
- Carol (4/5): So very disappointed - We chose this hotel for proximity to Vatican City and the many amenities; room service, rooftop meals, rooftop view, handicap, accessible everywhere. Well, the restaurant was closed . The Jacuzz you have to pay €32 per person to use. We called the hotel from the airport for early check-in were told we could get early check-in by 11 o’clock. We paid for a taxi service for all of us to get there including my mom in a wheelchair and were told there was no early check-in we’d have to wait till 3 o’clock no exceptions if a room happened to open up, it would cost us another €30 per person to enter any room early and they lied they said they never spoke to anyone and that was a big lie. And So we had to take my mom in a wheelchair and my whole family and go find a place to park for three hours sees me for hours while they read it up our rooms the handicap accessible part is they have a lift that takes you from the bottom floor to the base floor of the lobby there’s two lobbies ones on the left ones on the right basically ones in the front was in the back we can only answer the front one the Back being too many stairs. This is a big issue. The room had a big step up to the bathroom. The rooms were dirty, dusty, smelly and old. No toiletry articles actually had to ask for everything blankets, etc. not 4 star at all 2 at best. We booked 3 rooms and all 3 rooms sakes issues. My sisters room looked like there was blood on the wall.

- Lina (6/5): - There is a lot of mix feeling about this hotel. The location is great about 5 min walk to the Vatican. The room are so-so. No big deal. The first room the Ac didn’t work and and u can see there where some water damage or stain in the wall also it smelled moldy in the first room. The second room was good just water stain in the walls but the biggest problem was the noise that came from the restaurant which is 2 feet next to the hotel and did not close till 2 am if your a light sleeper they will keep you up. With the loud talking Shout out the the two male staff at the front desk. They were every helpful
