- Wai Sum (6/5): - The hotel is a little bit too old and some of the amenities are out of order. During my stay, there were once 5 little flies in the sink coz the lights were not turned off. I am not too afraid of insects yet it’s still disturbing. And it took me a long time to check out coz they have to arrange someone to check if u used anything from the minibar although I paid deposit. Not to mention that I dun understand why the city tax was not charged once we checked in instead deposit of the tax (?) charged on check in and I have to pay the tax when left. It took me so long to check out, nearly 20 mins. Bad experience for the last moment :(

Roland in concierge and team, Raj in housekeeping was exceptional, Rajeev and team as always exceptional at breakfast with all the guest and of course front desk. All work with a smile and no matter what pressures are placed on them, they go the extra mile. Great hotel, great amenities, location works. Don’t hesitate in booking, I have stayed in a few on this stretch, this is the best.

The main issue was the VIP access was pretty much worthless. They wouldn’t upgrade the room - even though they were still offering the next room level up on their website. The restaurants worth going to are not affiliated with the hotel. Staff were nice.

Cigarette smell everywhere on the floor, even though it was a non-smoking floor and room. Avoid id you want to truly enjoy what Dubai has to offer.

They promised that the funds will be returned to me within the day and its been over 5 days and they stopped responding once they found out I was out of UAE. They also promised to compensate me which again they now claim has been rejected. Overall Disgusting hotel - despite shiny look in entrance. Its filled with nasty prostitutes Smelly room - problems with ventilations. (rooms smelled like curry) and there solution is to use air freshener. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL

Bed mattress needs to be replaced because it’s not comfortable and not acceptable compared to hotel level. On my second day the room was already cleaned. And i was taking afternoon nap and one of the housekeeping comes inside the room asking if want my room to be cleaned!!

Everything, from A-Z in this hotel needs adjustment. The photos posted are no way near yo the actual room. Its a 10-15 times exaggeration in reality.

In general it was an ok experience.

Check in was extremely pleasant, special thanks to Eslam, who made the entire stay comfortable. The rooms are spacious and amazing, the only comment is that they are starting to show some "aging" but are still beautiful and clean.

- azubaidi (8/5): - hotel is ok mainly because of the location and the 3rd party restaurant that is located at the hotel, otherwise the hotel is run down a bit, old rooms that are not renovated, staffing is reduced and no proper support and many delays from room service and facilities. rooms are are clean yet old. parking is difficult and no valet service after covid-19, yet most hotels in the vicinity offer it.

I don't know if all rooms are like this but mine was definitely not good. And this is a 5 star hotel. On the upside, entrance hall, pool, gym - all renovated.
