Guest Reviews
- Rachel (8/5): Convenient and comfortable - This was in a quiet part of town but the SMetro was at the door and easy to get around. It had good facilities and plenty of space.
- Dagmar (10/5): Good place - Suitable apartment, close enough to get into the center of the city.
- Samuel (10/5): - Excelente
- Feliz (10/5): - It was amazing. Dario was very helpful throughout.
- SkiAlta (10/5): - Clothes washer in unit was very helpful. Lots of space and decent size bathroom. Kitchen had everything needed. Internet was spotty.
A recommandé.
- Verified traveler (6/5): family week end - the apartment is spacious, furniture is outdated as well as decoration. area is quiet, could be good for a group of young people
- Jose (10/5): - Very nice place, a tram close to the appartement and very good hospitality
- BenjaminR6572 (8/5): - The property within the easy access to the public transport and it’s just infront of the property. The landlord (Biago) is very helpful and supportive in everything. Excellent! Just a small thing to do (by the landlord) is to always make the property smells good/fresh for any occupants or occupier before their arrival. The property smells cigarette, also the WiFi sometimes is not working. But, it’s still a good place to stay. We’ll definitely come back in future.
Stanze spaziose, pulite e zona tranquilla. Personale Disponibile.
- Mario (8/5): - Personale disponibile e gentile. Wi-fi lento in certi orari.
- Jodi (8/5): Fantastic find! Friendly host! - Great location for getting around Milan by public transportation! The apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed.
Grocery store close by open 24/7.
Great information (maps etc) ready for us upon arrival.
Our host (Dario) went above and beyond to help with requests. Such a thoughtful and kind man!
We would definitely stay there again!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Way to expensive compared to what you get.
- fazza (10/5): Great location with a car - Free parking excellent train metro, and bus links to town. Nearby supermarket. Groucho the host very helpful. Facilities in the apartment good and very spacious. We had apartment for 5 two storeyed
- karwa (10/5): Milano City Residesce - Sehr sehr gut danke alles sauber und perfekt für Familien Urlaub hi
- G (8/5): - The trams and busses were very close in the neighborhood to get in town.
- Satu (10/5): - Ihana formula viikonloppu Monzaan. Hyvä sijainti, nopeat junat ihan vieressä.
Ruuanteko mahdollisuus oli upeaa.
- Francisco (8/5): Excellent hotel for the price - even though it was not a regular hotel I would stay here again. our room was big and comfortable and right in front of the tram and train stations. We were even given a parking space a couple of blocks from the residence.
- Daniel (6/5): Solid apartment - It was really just a layover for us but it met our needs. The staff was very accommodating when we arrived very late.
- Gary (10/5): Perfect for groups - The apartment was perfect for a group of 4, if we had been a group of 5 or 6 it would have been a fit of a squeeze. We got a friendly and informative welcome and the apartment was a home from home and we wanted for nothing. Buses, trams and trains run right outside the front door and the neighbourhood was safe. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
- YEAN HARN (8/5): - Air-conditioning not good and the bed is old with cracking sound
- Verified traveler (6/5): Clean and convenient but noisy and oldish - Situated in the plaza just stop the tramway.
Surroundings are of no interest and could be borderline at night.
We went to the expo and the location is only 15mn drive away which was convenient.
Apartment is clean and sleeps 4, and 5,6 with the sofa bed in the kitchen/living room.
However, fridge is very noisy to sleep in this room. The beds were average but too short to be comfortable for adults (1.80)
Overall apartment is clean but noisy with the tram outside, the traffic and the paper thin wall (you hear everything from wake-up clock to snoring)
There is very limited outside parking at night and there is almost no way to park in front of the apartment building.
The welcome was cordial and appreciated as we arrived late.
We feel it was not worth the 230 euro and we will instead try to find 2 bedrooms at a chain hotel in the farther suburbs.
Alles was voorzien.
- Yrjö (8/5): Asiallinen huoneisto! - Kaveriporukalla katsomassa lentopallon EM-kisoja.
- Family (4/5): Disappointed , Poor management - Just stayed there for 10 days. Before the trip, I confirmed with the hotel twice through emails in finalizing when and where for the check in (5 days before). I thought is all taken care of since we told them we do not have a local cell phone, however, when we were there at the destination in a hot sunny August with heavy luggage, nobody there as I expected. We need to run around and ask for a cell phone to call them. Once arrived, they told us the apartment have issues 2 days ago and need to relocate us to other location. I wonder why they not notify us before our departure. WIFI not working 2 hrs after check in. pot and pan in the kitchen are all scratched up. I never believe I can follow the TV program, conversations and when they go to washroom at night from my next neighbors. Being in the middle unit, I am in stereo mode all the time. With the tram right in front, I pretty good figure out the schedule in mind prior the sound.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Average Place - the hotel did not have a 24hr attendants , the building was old . the apartment was clean and comfortable enough . The location was far from the heart of the city and the neighborhood was not the best .
- K Shabbir (8/5): Not a bad choice. - The location was well connected via public transport. The neighborhood was a bit quiet and not much eating places around. You can find Mc Donalds and a shopping centre in the next bus stop. I think it will be a good place for long stay travelers. Apartment and the management is very good.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Roomy and clean. Even direct public transport to the EXPO
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great transportation options, not great area - Well taken care of and perfect for our needs, but nothing is good about the immediate area. You can get anywhere you want to go quickly due to the train line right across the street. If you do not need to walk to the nearest convenience, it is a great choice.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good location. - Good location, The train station in the front of the house (only 2.2 Euro to Expo). The small apartment but has every thing you need. The staff was very helpful.
Wifi was slow.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - neither photos nor location correspond with real apartment...
6 floors, no elevator, no hot water, no internet. Nothing worked!
- Greg (8/5): Close to transportation, Friendly managers - The room is cozy, small but large enough for a family of 6 like mine. It is loud at night, and the "bedroom" upstairs is blocked from the AC. However, they do have a wall made of Plexiglas to keep out the night traffic and trains. The manager was very nice, and fast. He showed up quick, told me everything I needed to know about the room and how to get around the area, and left quickly. They have printed maps in several languages, as well as recommendations on restaurants, sites, and transportation. It was all detailed quite nicely. A big plus was that there were plenty of towels, and unlike most apartments, plenty of soap and shampoo is provided. Parking can be a problem during high traffic hours, and must be paid for on most days. Be sure to have a phone with service, when you get there, you must call to get in. There is a phone number by the gate. I had to ask a local to phone for me, it was not fun, but everyone around seemed friendly for the most part. Also, get them to show you how to use the key for the front door, if you are not familiar with that type of key. My daughter kept getting it stuck.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A little out of the way, but conveniently located all the same. Very helpful staff. The apartment was comfortable and we would stay again.
- maco (10/5): - The room was spacious, clean and comfortable.
If you are sensitive person, bit noisy. But we didn't mind a lot.
The staff were sooooo nice peaple and the location was not center or historical place.
But It was very convenient. It takes 20 minutes to Dumo by tram.
I definitely recommend visitor to Milan.
- Joo Kean (8/5): Great for public transport and good service! - I would recommend this place for small groups. We were a party of four and were extremely comfortable here. Neither the apartment nor surroundings were anything fancy but the apartment is completely functional and it has all we need for our short stay. There is plenty of shelves & storage space with complete kitchen and the staff attending to us were responsive via email as well as in person. Check in was a breeze. Best of all, this place is well serve by public transport. Bus 92 is especially useful coming from the railway station as it stops right outside the apartment. My group came to this place on our return to Milan after touring Northern Italy and travelling with bags got easier once we familiarised ourselves to the transport system - this place is very well served. Apart from the juice and water we got on our first trip, the management went so far as to present us with a bag of rice and coffee on our return visit which is so thoughtful. Keep it up, City Residence!!
- GRT5 (10/5): Nice apartment - We reserved a large two bedroom apartment which was perfect for our family of 5.
Spacious, Airy, & cleaned every day. At first appearance neighborhood seemed questionable, but this was misleading as we found the locals very friendly and helpful & area was safe. At corner is metro, take bus 92 for city center.Friendly cafe around corner for morning coffee and pastries. Upon check in we. We're given helpful map with listing of local eateries. Asian buffet three blocks away which was great for dinner!
- RR (8/5): Nice hotel - We ended up extending our stay! What a great place. Lovely staff, ros and location!!! Great value! Highly recommend!
- RR (8/5): Highly recommend - Great value, great service, friendly staff, easy enough to get around. Would def recommend. We were there with newborn twins. Great family friendly place.
- Daniel (10/5): Amazing staff, conveince to mass transit - Dario went beyond call of duty to make my family and I feel at home. I definately recommend this apartment for a family.
If you are looking for a place in the center of the city, this is not it but bus, tram and subway are literally outside the building. The price is just right.
- Coll (10/5): Great location, clean and comfortable - A lovely apartment. Close to transport, restaurants, supermarkets. We were able to walk into the city with our 3 children. Parking available out the front. Beds very comfortable. 5 of us stayed so a little squashed but this wasn't a problem. Good washing machine. Good kitchen. Very clean. Dario very helpful with instructions and letting us in late at night.
Had a terrific time. Would certainly recommend
- Thanh (6/5): Inexpensive residence hotel - Crampy sleeping areas with a good size kitchen, all furnished by Ikea. There's nothing to see and do in the neighborhood, however there's a tram and a commuter train station within a few minute walk from the residence. Only recommended for budget-conscious travelers.
- Cindy (10/5): great facilities and clean apartment - Good layout, can sleep a lot of people (up to 5). Very clean place, right next to Lencetti train station. Supermarket close by. Lots of equipments provided, even a washer.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Apt with all necessary amenities - Great value for the price we paid. The mattress was a bit soft to our taste, otherwise, it was perfect!
- Jesse (10/5): Nice place!!! - Staff was very helpful!!! Always asking if we need anything! Always willing to help!
- Anthony (10/5): Good hotel Milan - The staff were extrwamly helpful Biaggio explained location of all major facilities, shops etc and as this was our last destination and as we were flying late afternoon they kindly stored our luggage until we had to leave. Covieniently located right next to train station. A few blocks away from you good quality restaurant and fast food stores. The room was comfortable for a family of 5. Bath linen was provided vevery second day.
Also a great few little extras like water and juice in fridge and a few breakfeast / snack items provided,
- Nadia (8/5): Spacious and close to the metro - The apartment was the exact one that was shown on the expedia web site. Spacious for our family of 5. Clean and cheep. Quiet area, just a bit too far from the city center. The metro is directly across the street and is very easy to catch in which ever area you wish to visit. There is a supermarket around the corner for any grocery shopping.
- Andrew P (8/5): Good for family - Overall, I would stay at this place again given its proximity to public transport. Our family of 5 was well accommodated. The staff was very nice. It's outside the city center but everything is easily accessible. It is not a hotel per se but the residence owns a number of apartments in a building and rents them out. The rooms are basic (like an Ibis) but everything that you need is there. There is not much going on around the hotel but a great restaurant (Vulkania) is about a 10 min walk away. In order to check-in, you need to contact the representatives so they can show up and go through the check-in process and if there is ever an issue, you need to call them. It's a bit of a pain but they are very responsive. Overall, for the price that I paid in the middle of July, it was well worth it.
- SleepyTravllr (8/5): Would stay here again - This hotel was a very pleasant stay. At the last minute, I needed to adjust my checkin pricess, and Dario was very catering. While I never personally met him, I was able to speak with him quite consistently. The location is right near the apartment entrance. I enjoyed how easy he made understanding the metro and subway system to a first timer. The WiFi was working pretty strong, but went out our last night there. The apartment was clean and comfortable. Loved the washing machine! The kitchen was well suited, as were the bedrooms. I stayed in the loft style. Was right next to the street, so it got a bit noisy at night, but nothing that disrupted my sleep. The ac is controlled by remote and worked pretty well, though we barely used it. It was easy to follow Milan's intense recycling project, for the green-hearted. Basic cookware and cutlery were provided, making this whole apartment style a true immersion into Milanese lifestyle. Close to grocery store, McDonald's, bakeries and sandwich shops. They are all just a short walk straight down the block, about 5-7 minutes walking. The bus was right outside the gate, so it seemed easy to ride, though I never ride it during my stay. Had towels provided and beds were dressed with decent sheeys, but I still used my own. Comfortable space for 4 ppl. Would definitely stay here again.
- Family of Four (4/5): Near tram but not much else, noisy neighbors - This apartment seemed like a good choice for a family of 4. The loft was a nice second room for kids to escape to. Good free WiFi. Breakfast was a bit minimal, with some packaged biscuits and jelly, but there is a market 15 mins walk away, and the kitchen is pretty well equipped. There are no room numbers on the doors, so twice the first day, we had people disturbing us, trying to get into what they thought was their room (there are shared corporate apts here). At midnight, I had someone put their key in our door, and I felt they were going to gain entry, so I had to block the door with my body. There is no deadbolt or door chain to over ride key access. We didn't know if this person's key really could open the door, but I had no way of assuring this. A quick call to the manager informed us that there was a confused guest, and this was not someone to cause us harm, but by then we were all scared awake for most of the night. Fairly safe neighborhood, but on a busy street. Groups of people come home late at night and congregate in the breezeway outside the ground floor and converse, which can be very noisy. If you stay here, be sure your cell phone has service; otherwise you will have to arrange an exact meeting time with management, and if you have any trouble in the night, you are on your own. The price was good, but next time I will pay just a bit more and stay in a real hotel (with a lobby and 24/7 staff).
- Gary (6/5): Good budget location - This is a good place for someone/family on a budget. It is comfortable but not superb. It was great to be able to eat our breakfasts and some other meals. The beds were OK but could be better. The washroom is adequate but the shower is small. I would still recommend this hotel for someone who is travelling with a budget in mind.
- Joseh (8/5): O.K. However..... - This place is o.k. But one thing made it unacceptable. The noise at night is not acceptable. There is no sound insulation at all. You can hear outside activity very loudly. Young people seem to return from clubbing at all hours of the night ( 2-5 ) and usually they are in a loud party mood. Shouting and door banging and stair climbing unbelievably loud. Sorry no good!
- John (2/5): what a dump - This place was awful. Tiny cramped fire hazard within a poorly maintain dump of a building.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Ideal for what we needed - We needed a relatively cheap appartment for 5 (2 adults 3 children) to enjoy a 4 day break in Milan. This appartment provided the ideal accomodation. It is roomy enough and has all the equipment needed. There is a large supermarket close by so we didnt always need to eat out. The tram stops just across the road and the train station is over the raod too. The metro is a little longer walk but still very handy. Wi Fi was also appreciated. Overall a great place to stay.
- Zahrah Jaafar (10/5): Bonjorno Milano !! - The apartment was nice & clean. It is near the tram stop & the Metro.
The bedding is comfortable. Plenty of clean towels.
However the heating & the shower is a problem - since we live in a tropical climate - we do not know how to operate the heating system but overcame the situation after calling your staff/Dario Bonasia - although during check in he did explained to us on the apartment facilities.
The apartment has only 1 bathroom & it was quite an inconvenience for my family of 6.
I supposed that the apartment will be cleaned daily & the breakfast basket be topped up daily.
The apartment is near a Muslim restaurant & mosque - as we are Muslims.
It is near a factory outlet- Boggi.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Cosy yet noisy at night - Nice location - 1 min walk from Metro (the suburban line).
Got water + juice + milk + bread for welcoming.
Very nice host - introduced us to the wonderful yearly event the Milano Fair.
It's a ground-floor apt so it is pretty noisy at night, especially when there is a big truck driving through.
- bhavini (10/5): Friendly service..more than we expected - The lady looking after this apartment was lovely. We phoned the number on the front door and she drove down and gave us the keys straight away. She had already supplied us with loads of croissants, tea/coffee supplies and 2 pints of milk. The apartment was cosy and clean. Even when checking out she let us stay until our flight time as she did not have anyone else booked in. I recommend this for a great girly get together and families.
- dina (8/5): Milan Hotel - outside busy city center - Parking - very difficult to find parking.
Location - we picked this hotel because it was close to a family member we were visiting.
Getting to Milan city center - very easy by tram, stop is very close and one tram takes you right into the center.
Checking in - Nobody is on site so you need to coordinate your arrival time so that someone can meet you. The entrance to the courtyard is locked and we didn't know how to let them know we arrived, but someone was coming out so we went in. In the courtyard we waited with all our luggage. Had to use our cell to call management to let them know we were there. Person who met us was very nice.
Hotel/Apartment - The place was clean and comfortable. The fridge had water, milk and juice for us, and there was a basket of breakfast items/tea, etc. The kitchen was also equipped and there was a washing machine in the bathroom.
- Katie (10/5): Hotel Residence Milan - This place was great for my husband and I, as well as my parents to stay in a nice place with a kitchen, and be able to stay together for a decent price. The only problem is that as tourists - we did not have a cell phone, or know how to use the pay phones to make local calls, so calling a number was very difficult. Luckily, a friendly neighbour saw us waiting and called the number for us! :D Other than that minor detail, I would reccommend this place for a group of people who want to save some money! Also, there was an underground train station that connect with the metros and therefore centre-ville that was cheap and easy to use.
- Verified traveler (8/5): City Residence Milano is an apartment for lease - Maybe you can tell by the name, but this is someone's apartment that they decided to rent out as a 'hotel'. Thus, you arrive in front of a building with no sign whatsoever that you are at the right place. We arrived at night, which I would not recommend anyone of doing. There is a tiny sheet of paper with a phone number on a wall next to the gate. When you call the number (assuming you have a cell phone, which we didn't), the friendly owner/manager will drive to the apartment and give you the key. We went to the neighboring middle eastern restaurant (great pizza! and friendly staff) to call. The apartment is modern and nice equipped with IKEA furniture. There is a kitchen, living room with two single beds and a 'loft' with a double bed. The loft is really a metal floor that they built into the room for extra space. They have air-conditioning and a small TV as well. The fridge is staffed with minimal provisions for one breakfast. If you stay more than one night you can go shopping to the supermarkets that they will provide you a list of. We used our GPS, which found the nearest one. Otherwise you may need a map or speak italian to find it. Parking on the street is safe and plenty in the evening. There seem to be a lot of schools around, so finding a close parking spot can be difficult during the mornings and early afternoons. The metro stop (Lancetti) is right in front of the building and is two stops from Porta Venezia station, where you can get a metro to the town center. Right around the Lancetti metro station, there are a number of people lingering around, which can make you feel unsafe. I recommend to take the tunnel to cross the street. On the side where the hotel is, the residents are very friendly and no one is loitering.
Overall, I recommend the apartment, but be mindful that it comes with no service whosoever.
- George (6/5): A lot smaller than it seemed on the internet - A lot of traffic noise at night and all of the windows had non transparent glass. It was therefore not possible to see out from the apartment. We would not have liked to stay any longer than the two nights we had planned.
