Guest Reviews
- Giuseppe (7/5): -
- Angeline (8/5): Would stay again due to location and price. - Well situated close to Plaka.
Traditional decor.
Lift from first floor . Decent breakfast. Nothing in particular. One day they forgot to leave clean towels however there were clean ones every day and sheets changed within a 6 night stay.
- Michael (8/5): - Friendly staff
Close to the acropolis No toilet paper in the toilet
- Biersteker (7/5): - Personeel vriendelijk en behulpzaam, locatie erg goed, bed erg fijn. Voorzieningen zoals vermeld aanwezig. Kamer en badkamer roken wat muf.
- CECILIA (10/5): -
- Mary (9/5): Very good - I liked the location. It was a very good value for money. I didn't like to coffee machine at the breakfast. I substituted it with tea.

- Oksana (10/5): Really enjoyed the stay here. - Really enjoyed the stay here. The location is excellent and makes it easy to get to many sightseeings on foot. The hotel was clean, and the service was very good. We arrived in the morning to drop off our luggage; the room was ready, and we had an early check-in. Breakfast was simple but fresh.

- 868kim (2/5): Left after one night – unacceptable standard and zero follow-up - We had booked and prepaid a 7-night stay at Acropolis Museum Hotel (28 Feb – 7 March), but ended up leaving after just one night. Unfortunately, the experience fell so far below expectations that staying longer simply wasn’t an option.
Upon arrival, we were told we had been “upgraded” to a Deluxe Double Room. If this was indeed an upgrade, I would be very concerned about the standard of the regular rooms.
The room itself had multiple issues:
The bathroom door handle was loose and repeatedly fell off
Lighting in the bathroom was extremely poor, and ventilation didn’t work
While showering, you could clearly hear conversations from the breakfast area
Overall, the room felt worn and poorly maintained
The noise level was by far the worst part. The hotel is located on a busy street, and the room had virtually no sound insulation. Traffic noise continued day and night, making it very difficult to sleep.
While a flat-screen TV was provided as advertised, it only offered local channels, which felt quite limited for an international hotel.
All of this stands in stark contrast to how the hotel presents itself, claiming to offer “modern amenities and comforts” following renovations. That was simply not our experience.
What makes this even more disappointing is what happened afterwards. I contacted the hotel to raise these issues and request compensation, given that we had prepaid for a full week but only stayed one night. Apart from a brief acknowledgment saying the matter would be forwarded, there has been no meaningful response.
A hotel can have shortcomings—but ignoring guests afterwards is far worse.
In summary:
Misleading description of room standard
Poor maintenance and basic facilities
Severe noise issues
Completely unresponsive customer service
We left after one night and received no proper follow-up. I would not recommend this hotel.
- Silvia (7/5): - Location is perfect.
They gave a very noisy room, but the staff was gentle and moved me to a better one.
- Kristin Teigen (8/5): -
- 393dimitrih (10/5): An experience that exceeded all my expectations - Firstly I want to prefix this review that am a graduate from an elite School of Hotel administration and worked
in EVERY member of the staff was friendly, courteous, helpful, hospitable and eager to create a special experience for me, and from what I witnessed, for the other guests as well.
Breakfast was fresh, plentiful and of excellent quality.
The hotel is a classical building with a lot of personality and special touches. The bed was incredibly comfortable(Cocomat bed) and I consistently got a good nights sleep. I also felt very safe staying there.
The location couldn’t be beat. The Koukaki neighborhood is a culinary Mecca, plus all the major sites of Athens are in walking distance.
I hope I have the opportunity to stay there in the future!
- J. (7/5): so nice to be in Athens again - The hotel is located near to the metro and the Acropolis, it is really easy to get there, also with a luggage; there are not many restaurants next door (but a coffee-shop), but if you don't mind to walk 5-10 minutes, you can find both the more and less touristic ones with excellent food. And you can almost see the temple of Zeus from your room window. The hotel is located next to the avenue where the traffic never stops: the first night was difficult, but afterwards I got used to the noise. Also, the central heating schedule of the hotel is a bit strange: they heat during the night, when you are asleep and under the blanket, and don't do it in the evening and early morning, when you actually need the warmth, but it is possible to use the room's climatisation system (although it makes terrible noise) and extra blankets, so actually it is all OK. The strangest thing in the room was the table: it was very high and clearly meant to be used for make-up, but not sitting at it and working, so I had to use two pillows to be able to work with my laptop.
- Maciek (9/5): Świetna lokalizacja blisko Akropolu - Fajny hotel w zasięgu spaceru od Akropolu. Śniadanie też dobre. Ciekawy wystrój Warto byłoby odświeżyć łazienkę
- Mehmet Ali (5/5): - Acropolis'e ve toplu taşımaya yakın. Yataklar rahat. Temiz. Çok yol gürültüsü alıyor. Banyoları çok eski. Duşakabinler çok küçük. Kahvaltısı çeşit olarak yetersiz. Plaka'ya (şehrin hareketli yerine) uzak. Tekrar gittiğim zaman tercih etmem.
- Marlene (10/5): Lovely stay near the Acropolis - We really enjoyed our stay here. The building has character and the interior design gives it a boutique feeling. - Storyteller552326 (10/5): Comfortable and recommended - We enjoyed our 4 night stay at the Acropylis Museum Boutique Hotel. Upon arrival from the airport, it's a short walk from the Metro. Behind the hotel was very walkable to the tourist area, and 2 blocks behind the hotel are some pubs we enjoyed. The room itself was nice and clean and as expected. The breakfast was very good and enjoyed each morning. As others have noted, there are stairs. So, after a long day walking, be prepared. We thought it was a great value and would recommend to other travelers.

Best location
Very frendly staff
- Laimonas (9/5): - Excellent location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable bed. We had excellent city break. Road by the property bit too noisy.
- Cuchulainn (5/5): It wasn’t great but what happened after was worse. - Good location, nice decoration, ok WiFi, room was alright. I got to talking to some of the employees as some of them are nice people. Some are not so nice. I stayed here for a whole week during December and it seemed like decent value - not the best deal but also not the worst. I had no real complaints at the time. I was even about to write a good review for them when I could get around to it. Getting barked at and shoed out of the hotel like some kind of animal for simply stopping by to say hello was not the best experience.
I moved to Athens recently and stopped by this hotel from time to time, maybe 3 times at most (over several weeks) just to say hello to the people at the front desk who I remembered - some of which are nice people. I’m always about making new friends wherever I go. Most hotels have zero problem with that… in fact they consider it a nice thing that someone returns to say hello. If anyone at this hotel had a problem with this or considered it distracting to their business, all they had to do was politely say so and I would never go into their lobby again. I wasn’t trying to get in the way of their business or be a nuisance. However I stopped in yesterday only for the man behind the front desk to start shooing me out of the lobby in the most offensive way possible. “Out! Out!” he started saying as someone might to an animal or a criminal. Forgive me for saying hello. They’ve lost someone who planned to stay at their hotel again or at least give them a good review.
- Theodoros (8/5): -
- Erdal Can (7/5): Otelin konumu cadde üstü metroya yakın 4 dk karşıdan otobüsler geçiyordu. Plakaya yürüme mesafesi 20 dk acropolis müzesi - Kahvaltı F/P olarak iyidi. Duş almak zor duşa kabin küçüktü.

- Mohammed (8/5): - Wifi can be improved The wifi is very weak
- Oxana (9/5): -
- Loreto (8/5): -
- Iida (9/5): Highly recommended - Very clean rooms and friendly staff. Nice breakfast too. Near to the public transport and not so far from main attractions of Athens. Next to the busy street, so for some light sleepers it can be slight inconvenience.
- Frank (7/5): The hotel met expectations. - Proximity to the Plaka district, and to the Acropolis entrances and Museum. I appreciated their help in booking a taxi for the trip to the airport. The room I was given faced a busy road, and the windows were not sufficiently insulated to stop the road noise, which was bothersome at night. The elevator only operates from floors 1 to 3. There are still two sets of stairs to climb to reach the reception, and another set of stairs to reach the first floor. Cet hôtel est plutôt pour les sportifs.
- Cristina (10/5): -
