• Elke (1/5): Nightmare at MGM - My partner and I were woken up at 5am by the lack of air con, and couldn't go back to sleep. When we left the hotel room at 8:30am, I called front desk, and left a clear message to have the air con fixed. I returned to the hotel at close to 11pm, and walked into a very warm room, though the thermostat reading was 18.5 degrees C. So I called the hotel front desk manager, who arrived with housekeeping staff, who brought along a handheld thermostat at my request. It showed a room temperature of 26.5 degrees Celsius. The staff ended up having a heated argument with us, claiming that they did what was required. No apologies whatsoever. After 30 minutes, we were offered either an upgrade, or have an engineer over to fix the air con. It was 11:30pm, and we had a long day. We were utterly disappointed with the service, and the defensive attitude of the staff. We were not prepared to pack up and move to another room at close to midnight, when we would be checking out the next morning. In the end, we checked out and left at midnight. The manager unshamefully reminded us that since we booked through Booking.com, there would be no refund. I requested an email as a record of the incident. Until now, we have not heard back at all.

The room size was spacious, clean, and provided a relaxing atmosphere that made my stay truly enjoyable. One of the best things about the room was that the mini bar was included, which was a nice added bonus. I would also like to extend my appreciation to Yannes, who went above and beyond to provide exceptional service during my stay. When we realized that we had left some important documents in the hotel room after we had already departed and arrived back in Hong Kong, we were worried that we would not be able to get them back in time. However, due to the importance of the documents, courier companies were unable to accept the order. That's when Yannes stepped in and offered to deliver the documents back to us personally from Macau to Hong Kong. Yannes was a true professional and her dedication to providing outstanding service was unmatched. She communicated with us effectively and kept us updated throughout the entire process. Her willingness to go the extra mile to help us out was truly appreciated. Overall, my stay at MGM Macau was a wonderful experience, and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. • Xuan (4/5): not worth to staying twice - location is convenient to old town, room is spacious room is getting old and not matching premium room pricing. little feeling on premium room service v.s las vegas MGM two bed room staying experience. staffs seemed too relax and no mindset of proactive helping although all seemed polite per standard. overall it seemed the hotel is lacking professional management and no any supervisor to stay on top of the service delivery, in particular for guest who booked premium room.

You have to lug your luggage they a mall, which no one helps you. Then across the aquarium lobby and to the front desk. With 4 pieces of luggage and two of them at 30kg it’s not easy.

• Jeffrey Wayne (2/5): Much better options - Total experience was terrible from the Macau ferry shuttle bus where we were dropped off on opposite side to reception then had to find our way through the enormous complex with little or no guidance from hotel employees. I could continue to shore my entire awful experience however I feel management their deserves no more of my time. I suggest the Venetian I moved there and it was excellent.
• echubb (10/5): Amazing Room and Views - Stayed here with my buddies for a bachelor party - was one of the nicest rooms I've ever stayed in. Staff was pleasant but clearly didn't care too much for a group of young guys since we definitely didn't look like "ballers" even though we were staying in one of their multi-room suites. Overall, the room was very nice and well-appointed. I would definitely stay here again.

The shuttle bus is convenient for the casino, but totally inconvenient for overnight stay. Taxis are difficult to find, directions within the hotel and the adjacent mall are also scarce and in many cases misleading. Nothing really wrong, but certainly not a 5 star experience.

• Verified traveler (10/5): MGM In Macau + Wonderful. - The Hotel itself was first class but the gaming area lacked a little atmosphere compared to other Casino's i have been in. Also the Restaurants in the hotel were a little disappointing. There wasn't a lot of variety to chose from compared to say the Crown or Venetian so in that respect I wouldn't stay there again. But you couldn't fault the room or the staff.

• Verified traveler (10/5): The staff are 6 star. - The staff are 6 start and trained to perfection. I have stayed in more expensive hotels and received considerably less attention. The Airline lost my luggage for 36 hours and the staff could not perceivably been more helpful. I wish I could have tipped everyone from Bellboys to Hotel Manager. Well done MGM Grand ... take a bow.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Free upgrade to 2 bedroom suit - The receptionist is very friendly, but very slow and mess up the rooms arrangement. Recommend that they need a bit more training before serving guests in the front line. One thing worth to mention is that 2 of our twin Grand ocean view bedrooms got free upgrade to 2 bedrooms suit, as our family booked in total 5 grand ocean view rooms, the receptionist said it is as a gesture of goodwill that I'm staying here again.

• Kevin (10/5): Top hotel!! - I've stayed in many a top hotel but this exceeded all expectation. Unbelievable is the only word to describe the room,en suite.....jacuzzi, experience shower and adjoining lounger area,kitchenette.

• Carol (8/5): - We stayed in Grand Studio for 2 nights. The room was spacious and clean. Bedding were comfortable. However, curtains couldn't cover the windows well and sunlight shone into my room in the early morning. There is no bathrobe in the room unless you ask for it

• Hon Ming (8/5): Almost a magnificent hotel - One of the grand hotels in Macau. I enjoyed seafood so much, this stay I came across a special brunch offered on Saturday and Sunday. A selection of brunch sets provided wide range of fresh seafoods at a very attractive price. And a wide range of wines to match foods at a good price. The only bad feeling brought to me was the service of the gym room. After checking out, I asked them providing me for taking a shower in their changing room, but refused by the gym room receptionist. It's the first time I was rejected for taking a shower in a first class hotel.

• xusheng (2/5): Terrible hotel ever, never stay again - It was terrible stay, I will never stay in this hotel again. The hotel has a lot of unreasonable rules and look don't care the guest at all. Maybe they make too much money on Casino, that is why they don't care regular guest.

• Amy T (8/5): Fantastic Hotel with comfy beds and awesome pool - The hotel has a beautiful pool which is not crowded with kids during my time there. A lovely place to relax and wind down during the day. The patisserie serves some of the best pastries in Asia. The cakes are delicate, dainty and divine. We managed to try five different ones and I wish we could try them all. The high tea from their cafes are just as good! The casino is not as crowded so it's nice for amateur gamblers like myself. Not intimidating at all. Nice spacious room with a huge bathroom. Beds were really comfy and the complimentary drinks in the fridge was much appreciated on a hot summers day! However, with that said, there are little things that could be improved. One of the main one is that our room had a faint smell that lingered around (likely that the previous guest was a smoked). We spoke to reception but all they could do was send someone up to spray air freshener which did not last during our stay. Also, currently, MGM only includes free transport to the ferry terminals, unlike the Venetian which includes free shuttle to other hotels/casinos. It's not the end of the world.
• N (8/5): very comfortable room - it was my first time to stay here even if I have been to Macau many times when I used to stay at Lisaboa, Mandarin and Wynn. Hotel room was very clean and nice and have an excellent sea view with high floors. Overall, it is quite nice , 5 star hotel , however , please note the following : 1) I stayed at non-smoking room, but it smells a lot of smoking in the corridor since I reckon many people staying at the same floor may somke at thier room. 2) The staffs at buffet restaurant at 1st floor, was very blunt and unkind with no smile at all ( I was wondering if they fight from early morning !). Nevertheless, the coffee and desert were very nice. 3) I tried the French restaurant at 1st floor for dinner and the taste was quite excellent and I strongly recommend to try dinner set menu if you like French or Italian food. Overall, hotel was quite nice. ...

• Kris (10/5): Great location and value - When I went I paid a little extra for the Grand Studio and it was worth it. There are only 2 of those rooms available per floor (on each side) but given the space and amenities it is a great deal. The hotel is in walking distance of all of the historic sites. Moreover the front desk staff is very helpful. They also have a list of popular locations (in English, Chinese, Portuguese) on a small piece of paper that you can give to taxi cab drivers. I was not overly impressed with the restaurants on-site, but you are in walking distance of many options.
• Rob (8/5): Overall Pretty Good - We stayed at the Icon in Kowloon and the bed and room were probably better which is a shame given I paid more for the MGM. Staff & service were great and the food awesome. If your a gambler then this is the place to go as it's really setup well.

Staff were incredibly helpful, polite and very approachable. Whilst the spa facilities offered the ultimate relaxation. I can not wait to come back here again!

• Andrew (8/5): Nice hotel, good location - MGM Macau suited our needs quite nicely for our first trip to Macau. The hotel was in good, clean condition, well decorated, and welcoming. The casino is split into non-smoking and smoking sections, with the better action in the smoking section (as the predominantly Asian clientele tend to smoke). The gaming is OK - mostly Baccarat, some Roulette, Sic Bo, but only a few tables of Black Jack and Craps. It's hard to get a drink on the gaming floor beyond water or tea, as drinking and gambling do not go hand-in-hand in Macau as they would in Vegas. The location is convenient for visiting other casinos on Macau island, as well as exploring central Macau. Free shuttles take you to the more distant casinos, Cotai island, ferry terminal to Hong Kong, etc. I would definitely stay here again, although for a second visit I would likely target Cotai.
• Emma (10/5): Best hotel room I have ever had - Okay, so we were upgraded to a suite as it was my birhday, so I cannot comment on the standard rooms. However, the suite was amazing. Views over the water, 2 huge bedrooms (one double, one twin), 2 amazing bathrooms win jacuzzi baths and large showers (bath in twin room was right next to window, overlooking the water) and a half bath. Large living room, small kitchenette. Lots of cool gadgets, a coffee machine and wardrobes bigger than I have at home. Service was great, we ate at the French restaurant which was lovely. Casino felt a little grubby and was very smokey (full of mainland Chinese people who smoke like chimneys). But the Wynn casino over the road is much nicer and right next door. Free shuttle from the ferry terminal and hotel within walking distance of the old part of town. My husband travels a lot for work and spends half his life in hotels, even he said it was the nicest hotel room he has ever seen.
