Book this place - you'll be glad you did. Note: Reserve the boat transfer from the local airport to the hotel. Fun tip: You'll find a sandy spot on one of the nearby islands as well. Enjoy!

Sea swimming and diving off the pier an added bonus. Lunch menu is superb, dinner less so, but over all a great place to stay and chill.

Victoriya (2/5): - Very disappointed with this hotel, false advertising, the sea is full of sea urchins and dangerous to swim, restaurants is very expensive no other options to eat out as the hotel is in the middle of nowhere in an isolated island, they didn’t give me refund for 4 nights I checked out early at that time they said there should be no problem but ended up loosing my 4 nights worth of money, very frustrating experience with them.
Kayla Danielle (10/5): - Lovely hotel with pool and sea swimming. Food was excellent however don’t recommend the Adriatic Shrimp unless you want to spend the meal with your fingers in your food. Fantastic breakfast buffet as well. Very relaxing stay and can see why we found many repeat customers. Hotel can also arrange transport from the airport which allowed us an extra 2 hours sleep on departure!
Virginia (10/5): - The Hotel was Very Nice. The views were absolutely Beautiful. The only thing we did not like was you had to take a 1 hour ferry to get to Dubrovnik. And a 1 hour ferry back.
Lee (10/5): Superb hotel! Cannot fault it. - What a fine hotel this is! I had high hopes but it still exceeded expectations. Private Transfer is definitely worth it if your time is limited. Food is pricier than city but quality is superb and the breakfast is perfect. What really makes the hotel is the staff. Extremely good at making you relaxed and feeling welcomed. When the weather turned and an issue with our return day arose, they had arranged a boat, a driver and a new hotel so that our stay was seamless… and all before we had time to realise there was a problem. We will be back!

C (6/5): Didn’t meet expectations unfortunately - The hotel has great views. However, we found some of the facilities could be improved. It offers a pickup by speedboat (10 minutes in the boat, the rest by car) from the airport. If you travel to the island on the ferry no offer to collect you from the quayside or just your cases was available. In the heat it is quite a struggle for an elderly couple. The welcome by the young receptionist was ‘indifferent’. A male waiter was also similar throughout our stay. The older receptionists were fine and the breakfast lady was excellent and very helpful. The restaurant has a wonderful view but there were so many wasps and flies around we gave up eating outside and sat indoors. Excellent choice at breakfast but no cover for the meats and cheese so the flies were attracted to them, very off putting. We had just one lunch and one dinner, both were nice. We tried the little family restaurant next door and we enjoyed the food and the happier ambiance plus it was much cheaper. Our room, a Junior Suite, was large with a great balcony and excellent bathroom. No tea/coffee maker but we did have a kettle. No coffee sachets and no fresh milk just powdered milk. The TV has lots of channels - it would help if there was a printout of the channels. Small pool, not many sun beds but plenty down at sea level. No bar service down there which would have been nice. Sipan is very quiet with just a couple of kiosks. We went for 5 nights, 2 would have been enough as hotel lacked joy.
David Joseph (10/5): - We loved our stay at Hotel Bozica on the island of Sipan (a short ferry-ride from Dubrovnik)! It’s in Sudurad: a small, quaint village with a beach-bar and 3 great restaurants. There’s also 1 in the hotel, but the menu is pricy. It’s definitely worth it and tasty, but if counting your euros, maybe don’t make it a nightly habit. HOWEVER, if you don’t get up for Bozica’s full complementary breakfast you’re missing out. It’s got everything, including eggs made-to-order in any way, personally served to your table. The hotel rooms don’t look like they’ve been updated in a bit, but only minor things like scuffed paint and some fickle electrical switches were troublesome. The main lounge and bar look fairly recently redone though. And the LOCATION is amazing! I’ve traveled a lot and this hotel has the best location out of any I’ve visited. The Adriatic is right at your feet, with the hotel built into a hill all the way down to the sea. There aren’t natural sandy beaches (though some other resorts have created man-made ones), but Sipan’s pebbly beaches and rocky coastline are still gorgeous with crystal clear water, amazing swimming, and kayaking! Also bring shoes for the pretty hiking trails. Just get a room with a sea-facing balcony: you’ll never have trouble waking up when you can enjoy your tea/coffee while sitting outside, taking in the view! We went on the “shoulder” season in early September when things slow down. We will definitely be going back to Hotel Bozica soon!

E.M.S. (10/5): What everyone needs! - At first I was concerned with location of the hotel... Turned out to be outside of Dubrovnik, but not problem to access the city as well as enjoy being outside of it too. The airport service is on the pricey side, however, with the service and convenience, it is worth it. Local transport to the island is reasonably priced and combined with Uber is really easy as well. Just watch times for the boats (about an hour ride). The hotel itself is fantastic! People, location, breathtaking views, serenity and wonderful food! Jump in the sea or the pool. The set up there is perfect to relax and enjoy. Child friendly, as well as perfect for a romantic getaway...A must visit!

Amy (10/5): - We loved Hotel Bozica. It has its own private pool and beach, well-stocked bar, very friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast and a good restaurant. Our room was very spacious with a private balcony overlooking the sea which was lovely. The hotel organised car and boat transfers directly from Dubrovnik airport to the hotel's own jetty (about 40 minutes in total) which made the journey there and back extremely easy. The hotel is located only a 5/10 minute walk from the beautiful village of Sudurad which has a few nice bars and restaurants, as well as a convenience store and wine tasting shop. Apart from the amazing azure sea, Sipan itself has some wonderful walking trails, some of which include viewpoints with the most incredible views of Sipan and a number of the other nearby islands. The only criticism of the hotel is that the portion sizes of the food are far too big. My friend and I only needed to share a main meal and that was enough. The portions are far too big for one person meaning the food waste must be quite substantial. This is a shame as the food at the hotel is really tasty and well-cooked. Apart from that, though, I would definitely recommend Hotel Bozica and Sipan as a wonderful place to enjoy a holiday. I just wish we had longer than a weekend to enjoy it. I will be back.

Jessica (10/5): - Hotel Bozica was a beautiful stay on Sipan. This island is very small and this is probably the biggest and one of the only hotels on the island. It’s situated on a hill with a beautiful view and private beach access - most beaches in Croatia are rocks or small cliffs - and there were lounge chairs and umbrellas for us to use. Great pool and breakfast as well. Room was slightly dated but the view makes up for it.

Anna (10/5): A Croatian Gem for Rest and Relaxation - A very special place with a wonderful family feel, perfect as a break between our sailboat charter and an upcoming stay in Dubrovnik. The pool and ocean swimming areas were idyllic, the breakfast full and tasty, the AC worked in full blast and the staff even provided ice when needed. The town is very quiet but quaint and we could easily walk to some local restaurants. Hote arranged an easy private boat transfer to the mainland. An excellent value and truly charming place. Next year when the island gets better internet then I’m sure the Wifi will improve. Don’t miss Bozica for an idyllic few days in the Dalmation coast.

The restaurant had a terrific menu with wonderful views of the blue Mediterranean water. The staff was very accommodating: upgraded our rooms to put our family next to each other. I rented a really nice bike from the hotel and had an amazing ride across the island.
Verified traveler (10/5): - The location was stunning, right on the edge of the ocean with private swimming pool and sea swimming and jetty, views were wonderful facing south west, sunrise, sun all day and sunsets. Activities were available, we did snorkelling, swimming, canoeing, walking, island hoping and a visit to Dubrovnik. The facilities were exceptionally clean and well appointed. The staff were all extremely courteous and helpful about things to do and see and also how to get about the island ferries and the best times to visit Dubrovnik and get around. The staff were polite and attentive without being obtrusive. Cons include air conditioning that could have performed better particularly at night. The range and quality in the menu could have been better to match the high standard of the property, its location and the excellent staff especially as there were not many options to eat out in the small village.

The hotel is a short walk (involving steep hill) to Sudurad with 3 tavernas and from here the ferry runs to Lopud island and Dubrovnik for day trips. The best aspect of our stay was the beautiful and private sunbathing areas right on the sea. We stayed for 10 days and could have asily spent the whole time reading and watching the yachts come in and out of the harbour.

The hotel is on a hillside so access to the clear waters of the Adriatic is by steps to waterside terrace. No beach, but that’s normal in the area. Swimming pool and lovely terrace for relaxing at hotel level. Consistently good food - breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Great service! Hotel will arrange transfer by speedboat from Dubrovnik (at a cost) or pick-up from the nearby ferry port (free). Be aware that Sudurad is tiny so not the place if you are looking for nightlife!
Anthony (6/5): Location outstanding; the rest - meh! - Best thing about the hotel is the location, which is exceptional. Also, enough loungers so you can find free ones just about any time you want to lie by the water. Decent breakfast buffet but nothing special (the best part of which was the excellent cook who will do you fresh omelette or scrambled/fried eggs - she was a star and always friendly in the morning). In my opinion, however, this wasn't really a great 4-star hotel. Aircon in attic room could not cope with summer temperatures, bed a bit saggy and lumpy, towels in bathroom the worst I have had in any hotel, wifi comes and goes and there is a wasp issue throughout the hotel (counted 12 dead or dying ones on the stairs and corridor on way back to room). Also, the bar/restaurant is overpriced for the island and the bar down by the water's edge was not staffed or cleaned up for the week we were. On the whole, the staff were really very helpful but were not always easy to find and some of them (the family owners?) did not seem super friendly or interested in guests. Sudurad is very small with only 3 restaurants and a bar but has a nice, relaxed feel and locals are friendly. I have to say I would go back there but I think we will try the other hotel on the island, in Sipanska Luka, next year.
Verified traveler (10/5): Idyllic getaway - It’s hard to decide what makes this such a perfect place. From the stunning view to the impeccably clean room. The polite, friendly staff and the delicious food. We loved the little extra touches- being met off the boat, homemade bread every morning with local honey and figs, every member of staff introducing themselves and smiling. The harbour is a short walk away where we caught a ferry for a day trip to Dubrovnik and enjoyed drinks in a taverna with more local people than tourists. As you will see in other reviews, don’t come to Sipan if you want a busy nightlife but do come if you want to relax, surrounded by stunning views and, at Hotel Bozica, be treated with excellent service.
Robert (10/5): Mid August break - A great spot, the staff are all lovely / great service and the views and outside areas are fantastic. Good snorkelling around the rocky areas close to the hotel. The food was great, top quality with huge portion size, bring your appetite! Sudurad is busy with sightseeing boats during the afternoon but the hotel is far enough away that it remains peaceful and relaxing.

From the speedboat that drops you at the quay, the friendly staff, the good food and the sparkling blue Adriatic right by the hotel, this is a great spot for a few days. Combine it with a stay on the mainland and visit the Old City. Menu might be a bit limited if one stayed more than a few days but for a short break doing very little this is the spot.

It is located on a beautiful island, very peaceful and relaxing with stunning views from our balcony. All staff at the hotel were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. There was an amazing choice of food at breakfast and although we only ate a few times in the evening the quality of the food was excellent. Paul (10/5): Stunning location with it's own beach. - The island is small and relatively isolated - this suited us very well but if you are looking for nightlife and excitement don't come here. Take the hotel transport from the airport - it is an island and ferries only run occasionally! You don't need a car - walk or take a bike - Great fun. The weather in October was just wonderful - sunny and 23C - but we were told that we were lucky! The time just flew by Don't forget a visit to Dubrovnik old town - the ferry will take you there - another not to be missed experience
Anne (10/5): Wonderful stay at Hotel Bozica - We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Bozica. We were made to feel very welcome and were treated like special guests from the minute we pulled up to the dock. The staff was lovely - everyone was professional and helpful. We had a beautiful room with a great view from the balcony. We rode bikes, took a hike to see the sunset and had lazy meals in the little town. Staying at this hotel was a highlight for our time in Croatia!
Eve (8/5): Lovely hotel but some bad rooms. - We booked on the basis of a room allocation on arrival. The room we were given was in the attic with velux windows and no view at all. It had very low beams with sharp edges which had to be negotiated when getting into bed and in the night when going to the bathroom. My partner gashed his head on a beam. I would not have booked the hotel if I'd known that there was a possibility of being allocated a room like that. We asked for a change of room and were given a nice balcony room with sea view just for the last two days of our stay. Apart from that the hotel was very nice and the food was excellent. I would recommend the hotel as long as you don't have an attic room.

It's is in a fantastic location with an excellent water frontage for sunbathing , swimming and relaxing ( no beach as such but this does not detract from its setting - typical Croatian water frontage) Sudurad is a charming little village , frequented by boat trips during the day and flotilla overnight stays - the hotel is an easy walk to the village providing a varied setting and alternative dining The hotel itself , including all staff is lovely - the only downside , typical for Croatia is the price , not cheap and typically well in excess of UK prices for meals especially . They may be pricing themselves out of the market as a result as it is at odds the with the general economy of the country
Verified traveler (10/5): Quiet hotel in beautiful location - We were greeted warmly and personally by the reception manager and that warmness continued throughout our stay. Food in the restauraunt was very good, the local whole fish excellent! The prices were as you'd expect on an island. The restauraunt next door was also very good. We left at 5.30am on our last day, and the hotel arranged for an excellent packed breakfast to be put out for us, not something we had expected and just one example of the lovely service we received there. The location is stunning, our room overlooked the bay and the hotel has a large private sea swimming area. There was also a smaller pool that was warm. The rooms are slightly old fashioned but spotlessly clean and the shower above the bath very powerful. We hope to return in the future, the setting is idyllic and we had a thoroughly relaxing few days there.
Verified traveler (10/5): treat yourself - Our fourth visit this hotel - you can get there by public transport, but we opt for the luxury of transfer arranged by hotel, car from airport to small harbour and from there on speedboat to the hotel jetty. great welcome, lovely room with sea view and french window, and everything just right. Including its location, close to small fishing village and to regular ferries to Dubrovnik and neighbouring islands. It is just the right size, not too small and not too big. It never feels crowded but never feels empty. Same cast of waiters, receptionists, and others. Wifi is great and all other amenities are smart and clean and comfortable.

We ordered proseco that was flat without pearls. Waiter himself admitted that the quality of the proseco is poor. The wine wasn't great either. We settled for beer in the end at 60 kuna a small bottle. On our last night we saw a rat running across the restaurant floor. Not a nice sight.

Corinne (10/5): Relaxing hotel in a stunning location - A wonderfully restful place with an amazing transfer option by boat organised by the hotel. This was a unique experience. The hotel is metres from the sea in a beautifully elevated position with it's own jetty. Our room had a balcony sea view across to Lapud and the approach to Sipan and the village of Sudurad. We loved watching all the boats coming and going. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, as were all the public areas. The staff were wonderfully attentive and nothing was too much trouble. This is not just a "run of the mill" hotel. We really felt looked after by the staff and that they wanted to do everything they could to give us a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The hotel food was amazing. An extensive buffet choice at breakfast with an option to take on the elevated terrace overlooking the sea. We loved the menus, the quality of the food and the atmospheric setting. The waiters were charming. We loved everything about this hotel. A real gem.

The hotel staff was very attentive, onsite restaurant staff included. The dinners we enjoyed were delicious! The view from our balcony of the Adriatic Sea and village was stunning. Many of the guests seem to be returning visitors. We would do the same and will recommend it highly to friends visiting Dubrovnik.

Charles (10/5): Delightful hideaway - A short boat trip to the hotel's own landing stage and you are in the calm of small island life, but not lacking in either comfort or things to do. Laze by the pool, swim in the sea (but watch out for the local boatmen who don't fully understand the word slow), take a bus to the other end of the island which is if anything prettier, catch a ferry to the other Elaphite Islands (or even to Dubrovnik), but overall revel in a place which has been largely forgotten by the tourist crowds and yet has everything you could want for a quiet break in the sun.

RJB (10/5): The ultimate location for a relaxing holiday - This is a quality hotel in a beautifully quiet and scenic location. The rooms, service and food were excellent. One very minor gripe was that the curtains were not blackout lined and the light came in early. I'll remember to take a mask next time, and there is no doubt we will return. For a fee, you can be transported from the airport to the hotel by car and speedboat.
Engaged Couple (10/5): A Real Find - My fiance and I have returned in the last few days from a weeks break at Hotel Bozica. The week was filled with sunbathing by the sea, pre-dinner cocktails in the bar, wonderful meals in the excellent hotel restaurant, sea kayaking and a couple of trips to Dubrovnik by ferry. It was everything we were hoping for and more. We were very pleased that we chose to stay on Sipan Island, which is utterly tranquil and idyllic, instead of incredibly busy and touristy Dubrovnik. It is only an hour by ferry to Dubrovnik so we had a couple of day trips, which we loved as it is a stunning place, but it was great to return to our sleepy island at the end of it! If you are looking for total relaxation, great food and friendly people this is the place for you. Having said this there is still lots to do (sea kayaking, mountain biking, exploring the island by foot, day trips to Dubrovnik/other nearby islands) if you get a bit restless. A wonderful trip we'll never forget.

kjm (8/5): Wonderful, peaceful break - Arrived with the hotel transfer service (which is a little expensive as they charge per person, but is worth doing to get out to the island without stress upon arrival). Hotel exceeded all expectations. Staff were kind and courteous. The room had lots of space (pick a sea view, it's worth it!) and had a lovely and simple little bathroom. The food and bar are reasonably priced, with excellent food on offer, plus service to bring it to you on any of the 3 levels in the outdoor area: poolside, down to the sea area, by the terrace restaurant. The breakfast was delightful, great choice and a person on hand to make eggs fresh however you fancied. The island is peaceful and quiet. Would recommend for romantic escape but they did have some children there too if you want/need to bring them along. There is a ferry that goes to the other islands and dubrovnik itself every couple of hours which is really cheap too. A wonderful stay. We will be going back!
molly (10/5): Great hotel on beautiful island - Staying at hotel Bozica was a truely lovely and relaxing experience. The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them. We were upgraded to a much larger room with a sea view for free as we initially booked the starlight room but found it a little small with no windows. But saying that all the rooms seemed fine. You pay more for what you get. The hotel is on a small island with only one restaurant and a local shop. You can catch a ferry to explore the other islands but we felt that the island of sipan was the best. Great for a quiet getaway . So quiet and relaxing and the water was crystal clear. We ate quite a few nights at the hotel restaurant as I read it had mixed reviews but the good was amazing. I would definitely go back and stay there next year. I'm so glad I found this hidden gem of a hotel as it's just what I've been looking for. Believe the hype and the good reviews.

Sea view from room so pretty and room more than adequate. Restaurant great, we ate there at lunch and dinner, the menu is varied and everything we had was excellent. Stephjd (10/5): A little piece of heaven in the sun - This was our 4th visit to this hotel which should tell its own story! This small hotel on a tranquil bay on the island of Sipan is truly the place to go if you want to completely relax in beautiful surroundings in a hotel where the staff have your every wish and comfort at the top of the agenda. The staff are, quite simply the most helpful and personable people you could wish for, and on top of that they have the time to talk and form a good relationship with every hotel guest no matter how long they are staying. You genuinely feel a part of the hotel 'family' and are treated as more of a house guest than a customer. The facilities are excellent and the quality of the food is too with a half board cost that would be hard to beat anywhere. We return home feeling refreshed and relaxed knowing that we will certainly go back for more of Bozica's magic.

Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel in the Sudurad (near Dubrovnik) - I had an overall nice experience at Hotel Bozica. They helped us out when booked for an airport transfer (a private car and then a water taxi which was a nice ride). The common areas were really well-equipped. No complaints there. But I have to say the room with sea view was a bit small. It was not the cheapest room but I am not sure what the difference was with the cheapest one. I was expecting something bigger and somewhat more comfortable. On top of that, the wireless network did not reached my room (A25) during the whole stay (5 days). The good thing is that I only need wifi to send/receive emails during the night but I guess it could have been an inconvenience if you rely on wifi for others things. On the other hand, the hotel provides bikes, diving equipment, has a great exchange rate and help out reaching Sudurad port. It is basically a destination for couples, very quiet and pleasant.

I would not recommend this hotel and location if you want anything other than rest and relaxation as there is little to do other than explore the lovely island which we loved. I really could not recommend this hotel more.

Hotel was spotless and the food was of a consistently high quality (chocolate pot to die for!). Location was remote and luxurious with the most amazing sea and island views. Islanders were so friendly and the ethos was one of support, cooperation and harmony which made the island feel authentic and very safe. I would not recommend this hotel and location if you want anything other than rest and relaxation as there is little to do other than explore the lovely island which we loved. I really could not recommend this hotel more.
Hannah and Dave (10/5): Wonderful peaceful location. - A perfect stay for the end of our holiday. Hotel Bozica has the perfect combination of relaxation, great food, comfy rooms and attentive staff. We payed a little more for a sea view room, simply stunning views over the Adriatic. There is an excellent family run restaurant next door to the hotel which serves delicious home cooked food if you fancy a change from the hotel restaurant although the food at the hotel was delicious, fresh and with a varied menu.
happyfeet (10/5): Paradise island getaway - Hotel Bozica has everything - an idyllic situation, a wonderful staff who treat you with the utmost care and attention, beautiful rooms, wonderful food....it really is paradise and for a complete wind-down and chill out there is no better place. Of course, I really shouldn't be revealing this as if too many people find it, I'll never be able to book a room for my next (and 4th) visit!
JC (10/5): Hotel Bozika - Great Location, food, people. Beautiful Location on the island of Sipan. The island is unspoilt and all the people we met were very nice. Quiet, relaxing, peaceful. Suitable for people needing peace and quiet to de-stress. If you need to be entertained then this is probably not the place for you. Transport to and from the Island to Dubrovnik is via a ferry - the timing of which is for the people of the island rather than tourists - so goes very early in the morning and doesn't go again until just before lunchtime the last one from Dubrovnik is 8pm so the precludes the possiblilty of a night out in Dubrovnik unless you charter a speedboat which is very expensive. Hotel staff would do anything for you We had a fabulous time!
Mickhard (10/5): An idyllic location for honeymooners & sun seekers - A very modern, tastefully furnished well staffed hotel with exceptional food. Although some reviews state amazing sea-facing rooms, the 'budget' deals on most websites really only offer the starlight rooms which means a room in the attic with restricted headroom in places - which was fine for us as we spent a minimum amount of time in the room!! The air conditioning worked perfectly to allow a very comfortable atmosphere to sleep in the otherwise very 'balmy' weather. Snorkel gear is essential but there are no reefs so fish species and over-fishing has lead to depleted and diminishing marine life. A great holiday with the accommodation being highly recommended.

Verified traveler (10/5): Best hotel if you're looking for peace and sun - Just the best hotel we stayed at in Crotia. This Island is a little paradise and the staff is amazing. Maybe a little expensive but so worth it! And there is more locals than tourists on that side on this island! ^^
justin (10/5): Beautiful and relaxing getaway at a bargain! - We had a wonderful relaxing few days at Hotel Bozica, which provided a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of Dubrovnik. Not much to do on the island of Sipan other than swim in the pool or Adriatic, which was fine by us! Wreoriented kayaks in Sudurad and spent a half day visiting a nearby beach and restaurant, which was great. The room was spacious and clean with a fantastic view. The hotel is definitely a bargain for the price. Would definitely go back again!
