• Edith I. (7/5): Ideal location for tram travel to city sights - The hotel is near the tram 22 stop of Pohorelec and this tram can also be used for sightseeing. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, quick and easy check-in and check-out. The hotel is promoted as luxury, but it doesn’t quite match that category. However, it has a very nice restaurant with excellent plenteous breakfast buffet with lovely indoors and outdoors seating, a large comfortable panorama room inside with a few plugs for charging electronic gear. Around the corner is the Strahov monastery which also has a lovely courtyard with restaurant and much more. The price for the room I had was high both in regard to facilities, shape (sloping wall from roof) and even the location, which is uphill for about 100 metres from the tram stop 22 and all the rest. This does not appear in the hotel description, but would have been helpful to know in advance. The whole area has roads and pedestrian paths with cobblestones, which make walking tiresome, since you have to watch your steps all the time.

When the room was cleaned, the beds were made, and towels replaced - but dirty mugs were left, the teas & coffees were not replaced, the bathroom was not tidied.

• Eleonore Federica (7/5): Value for money could be better - Large and varied breakfast, nice position with a view on the city, area is quiet and perfect to rest. Staff is kind. No clear instructions were given upon check in on room cleaning, so our room was not cleaned for 3 days though we stayed out 9 to 5. On the desk in the room we found a card saying that canceling cleaning would lead to a free drink. However the cleaning has to be requested, so that was a bit misleading. Big problems with room temperature, when we got in it was 27 degrees (in April the outside temperature is well below 20). We asked and were said that the air conditioning was heating only, and we could only turn it off and open the window. It never really worked (it is a bit odd for a 4-star not to be able to have a normal temperature in the room).
• Ronan (8/5): Comfortable stay and friendly service - We loved the quiet location right by the Strahov monastery and the delicious breakfast buffet. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. The room was comfortable. The area is close to the historic castle and views of the whole city are lovely 2 mins away. There is a local brewery next door and the cathedral and cloister. It looked a little bit dated in places. It probably needs an update as the decor was 1990s. The walk is steep if you are going or coming to the city so best to take a taxi back up.

Die Zimmer sind sehr schön und sauber.Das Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück mit allem was das Herz begehrt, superguter Kaffee. Im Restaurant waren wir abends zum Essen alleine, relativ hochpreisig und mittelmäßig. Aber es gibt in der Nähe Möglichkeiten um Essen zu gehen.

We had a slight hiccup upon check-in, but they worked closely with us to resolve our issues and were just a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend staying here to see Prague.

Ich hatte das Glück, über Ostern einen sehr günstigen Preis ergattert zu haben. Die Klimaanlage kühlte nicht sondern heizte. Leider stieg die Temperatur auch bei ausgeschalteter Klimaanlage - wahrscheinlich, weil auch die Nachbarzimmer heizten. Schlafen ging nur bei geöffnetem Fenster, selbst dann wurde es nicht kühl.

• Jan (6/5): - Hotel na krásném klidném místě blízko Strahovského kláštera. MHD v blízkosti. Bohužel některé pokoje mají propojovací, špatně zvukově izolované dveře do vedlejšího pokoje. Toto nebylo nikde inzerováno. V případě hlučnějších sousedů je to docela problém a velmi to snižujě komfort ubytování. Nelze ani rezervovat dva pokoje vedle sebe propojené spojovacími dveřmi v případě skupiny např. 4 osob.

It was absolutely terrible, everything was cold. And it was only 8 o’clock in the morning. Despite this, we were satisfied with the hotel and would recommend this hotel for people who like walking. Although there is public transport very close to the hotel.

• Karin (9/5): - Wir sind immer wieder gerne hier. Die Zimmer sind sehr gemütlich, die Lage ist schön ruhig und doch kommt man gut zu Fuß ins Burgviertel. Das Frühstück bot eine gute Auswahl und die Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Leider konnte man dieses Mal die Lüftung im Zimmer nicht abstellen, weshalb es etwas laut war. Dies sollte aber am nächsten Tag gleich behoben werden (nach unserer Abfahrt). Wir fühlen uns dort sehr wohl und waren bestimmt nicht zum letzten Mal dort.

Staff was pleasant, breakfast was great and bed were very comfortable. Really not about the hotel but if you are walking be ready for a workout walking back up the hill on Uvoz, but this is the price for the amazing views.

I liked the location The breakfast was a disappointment. Apparently, it was not included. This was not communicated well on the website. The communication from the staff was not correct (and even a little condescending), which resulted in me receiving a bill of CZK 570 afterward for a little bowl of yogurt and a coffee .... The cappuccino came from a machine instead of being homemade. You would expect that at that price. The fruit didn't look very fresh either.

Lovely restaurants nearby too such as a special setting next to hotel at Na Pekle - Klášterní pivní & vinný sklep.

• Jens (9/5): Great stay, lovely hotel and friendly helpful staff. Would definitely stay again. - The room was spacious, the bed was super comfortable and the pillows as well. Breakfast was excellent, big buffet with lots of choice and most importantly laid out in a logical order, i.e. easy to find the plates and knives and forks. Setting the Aircon to the temparature I wanted in the room was impossible. I set the aircon to auto, and at 5:30 in the morning I woke up and the room was boiling, 30 degrees. So I had to open the window and outside it was -6 degrees. Aircons in hotel rooms are generally a problem no matter where I stay, so this is basically par for the course. Someone should invent a user friendly hotel aircon interface.... they'd make millions. If you're going to use the sauna or spa, there are only 4 loungers, just something to keep in mind when you use the sauna, when I was there it got pretty full with 6 people, luckily I was finished with my session so it didn't affect me but others would've been without a lounger.

• Ben1275 (8/5): Very pleasant stay - Stayed for 2 nights on a business meeting which took place at the hotel. Rooms are fairly dated, but the hotel compensates for it with excellent service (special thanks to Darina at the reception for friendly help!), good food and seamless running of the meeting center. Location seems to be another asset, though we made relatively little use of it.
