Perfect location, across from the obelisc, the two main downtown arteries, theatres, restaurants, subway at your doorsteps, money exchange, shopping, etc. The property is very well kept, bathrooms look like new, beds are very comfortable, the staff goes above and beyond to help you in any way. This will be our hotel of choice when in Buenos Aires.

The only complaint was that we had to ask for ice every night. I really liked the big bathroom & the decor in rooms and halls. EL Carbon is a restaurant across the big street & down a little ways on the street that is lit up & doesn’t allow cars. The prices are incredible inexpensive & the meals are wonderful.

Staff was wonderful-what you would expect from a good boutique hotel. Facility was old, well-kept, well-built; it had an historic aura. Our room was smallish but very adequate, well appointed, clean, especially for the price and location. Then I sat on the bed. The mattress was the worst I have ever experienced, worse than a Motel 6 reject; way out of place for such a nice hotel. But for the mattress we would without question stay there again; as it was we would have gone somewhere else if we were staying another night. I feel a bit guilty writing this, but fellow adventurers should be warned.

But the hotel is quite old aged, the room is small and the carpet & curtains are dirty, the bathroom is ok but the shower water is powerful. The break is simple and no much to choose. If you need a quiet sleep, don’t choose the one facing to the street.

Some small negatives was a horrible tv reception.But I wasnt there to watch tv . Also there was only one trash can which was in the bathroom and was small. But if you are not a good spanish speaker,this hotel is good.The staff speaks English well even though it is not their native language .

- Sharry (10/5): Excellent location, helpful staff, comfortable roo - Park Silver Obelisco was a very convenient, comfortable base for our visit to Buenos Aires. Staff were helpful in checking us in a bit early, and in arranging a car to the airport at the end of our stay. The hotel is within walking distance of many key tourist destinations and right on three subte lines. Our room did not have a street view, but it was tastefully furnished and very comfortable with excelllent lighting, including for reading in the bed. The bathroom was large and modern, though the shower door on the bathtub was oddly installed so that getting in and out was difficult. Breakfast was a good, typical continental spread, with cereal, yoghurt, pastries, meat and cheese, served in a nicely furnished, bright space. We would definitely return to the Park Silver Obelisco.
- Dilshod (8/5): Hotel Park Silver Obelisco Review - The overall stay was pleasant and positive. The hotel is in downtown BA - walking distance to most major tourist destinations. The service and cleaning staff were great. One small con - I was given a room with a tiny window that faced the wall and the carpet was very dirty and full of stains. So make sure to ask for a room with a window and clean carpets. The room had a mini bar with items reasonably priced comparing to prices at nearby stores. All in all, I would recommend staying at this hotel.

Although the rooms are rather small they are clean the bathrooms are fine the showers are great.. I quite enjoyed my stay here and the proximity to the central part of Buenos Aires he's very good. I recommend this hotel to anybody who may be visiting Buenos Aires.

- Mauricio (6/5): Convenient location, good hotel , very noisy room - The location is very good , once you enter first challenge are the front doors some works some not, no sign pull -push and is a nightmare to park a taxi in front of the hotel. Once you are inside check in is faster, but you should pay extra for evrything, there is no a flat rate ( I like that) . My room was on second floor front and is terrible noisy all the street noise goes into my room, needs isolation. Honestly is good just for a very short business trip, nothing more

They let us check in early & we had a reasonable room overlooking the Obelesco with a cute little balcony. It was clean & the bed was very comfortable & the room was surprizingly quiet. Highly recommended!
- .Charles (10/5): - From the moment we entered the lobby we were treated as the most welcome of guests. For the next two days it was the same or better. The room was well appointed, not what we thought "big", but big enough. Location is one of the best, very central.

Since we arrived late in the evening, we chose this hotel because it was supposed to have a restaurant on site. Our room was on the 8th floor with a city view and the famous Obelisk. - Robert (8/5): Great location, Great staff! - This hotel in right across the street from Buenos Aires' reknowned monument namely "The Oblelisk of Buenos Aires" in the popular St Nicolas Square. The subway is literally outside the hotel door. The hotel is impeccably CLEAN and the front desk staff are all very friendly and personable and speak great English. My room was very clean and comfy however I have 3 complaints about my room. The first is that there are NO ENGLISH channels on the tv which is odd considering the fact that many US citizens visit BA. The second issue is the shower area of the bathroom is quite narrow and has this move-able door-like glass structure that you will need to maneuver to get into the shower/bathtub the space is narrow and if tub is wet you can slip and bust your head trying to maneuver that glass door thing, I ALMOST DID and it was quite scary. Someone who is considered "heavy set" or above average weight, will have difficulty getting in and out of this shower as there is not much room to move in/out of it SAFELY. The third issue is the carpet, while vacuumed, was still dirty with multiple black/brown stains from previous spills etc. Everything else about the hotel was perfect however and I'd actually stay there again due to the friendliness of the staff, it's overall cleanliness and it's ideal location in the heart of BA

Location is nice if you want to go walking around the downtown and the port; also an easy taxi ride from Palermo. Only negatives: The air was very dusty when we got there, had to run the A/C for a while. And the hotel shuttle to airport EZE was on-time, but the driver was kind of gruff and his old car smelled like gasoline and felt like it was about to die.

A comfortable, stylish, central location from which to explore with Av de Mayo just round the corner and the chance to get a bite to eat in a non touristy local restaurant with lots of atmosphere. Had very limited time in the city; the hotel made a big difference in making my stay in Buenos Aires so enjoyable and pleasant. Recommend Tiendra Leon for airport/hotel transfers too - worked a treat.

Balcony door seems to cancel the street noise very well. Would recommend it. Excellent location: in front of Obelisco. Very near to Florida Street, Plaza de Mayo and walking distance to Puerto Madero, Retiro and Recolecta. A subway and bus station are located in front of the hotel.

The front desk is super efficient and speaks excellent. If you want to stay in central Buenos Aires you certainly can't beat this hotel when it comes to value for money.

- Bob (8/5): Park Silver Obelisco Hotel - This hotel is right across the street from the Obelisk, and it is a very good location. Very close to the opera house, restaurants, and shows. You can walk almost everywhere from here. The only time we needed a taxi was to go to La Boca, since it was a little farther up the road. Also, there is a money changer (Western Union) three doors up the street that gave us the best rate to change dollars to pesos. The staff was very nice and helped to book us a very good Tango show. They gave us advice as to where we could go safely and were always warm and friendly. NOTE: The shower in the room has "A LOT" of pressure, and the wall / door to the shower is very weird. Just half the length of the shower, so it was very easy to get water on the bathroom floor. Took a couple of showers to figure out that you have to "lift up" the shower door, so that you can position it correctly on the side of the tub.
- Verified traveler (8/5): No frills, clean, secure, and centrally located - The staff at the Park Silver Obelisco Hotel at the best part of this hotel. Very accommodating with directions, maps, suggestions on best way to travel to city destinations (subte, taxi, bus, walking?). The desk staff brought us a hot cup of water for tee at three o'clock in the morning without any hesitation what so ever. The hotel is in a well lighted sector of center city next to the subway (subte), taxis, restaurants and walking distance to some city points of interest. The sector is comparable to New York's Broadway and Times Square with big billboards and giant advertisement screens. If you opt out of the breakfast, there is a Starbucks next door.
- Kathy Cam (10/5): Reception Staff are Amazing - We had a very pleasant stay at the Park Sïlver hotel, due in main to the lovely Reception staff, who went the extra mile to make sure we were well looked after. It proved necessary when we missed our flight home, due to incorrectly reading the flight details. The staff - Juan, Sophia and a lovely man who I can´t remember his name, sorry lovely man, spent hours helping us get flights back to the UK, they were amazing and sympathetic at the same time. Can´t thank you enough. As I write this we are still in transit, in fact at the moment Madrid, its been a lot of hours and three flights but without the professionalism of the Reception staff we would be in a far bigger mess and who knows still in Bounes Aires. If you want to be looked after find your way to the Park Silver. Kathy

- Karen (6/5): Poor service at it's best - I have stayed at many hotels and have never received service as poor as this. The staff was extremely unhelpful throughout the whole stay. On top of that, nothing was functioning in the room we received and had to relocated to another room after we insisted on speaking to the manager as the staff refused to accommodate us. The room key would not work and each time we needed to get in the room we had to ask hotel staff to let us. The bathroom pipes leaked causing a mini flood the first day we arrived and the wifi did not work the first 2 days we were there. The worst part of all was that upon arrival and leaving the hotel the staff didn't even help with our luggage to the taxi Overall, I would not recommend this hotel considering the price you're paying and I'm sure there are better options in the same area.

They sell te rooms as a 4 stars placement with a Sturbucks in the next door, interconnected form the lobby
- yyyyyyyyyy (8/5): Outstanding Value - This hotel is very well located near the centre of Buenos Aires. The room was a good size, well appointed and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent and the staff helpful. Overall it was excellent value.

- Verified traveler (10/5): BEST HOTEL EVER - I stayed for one week in this hotel in MARCH 2013. The place is a right choice for business as well as leisure travelers. From Check in to check out everything went smooth. Location is GREAT and all the major tourist attractions of the city are near this place. Will definitely come here again.
- Torres del Paine (6/5): Price and Location - This hotel is all about the price and location. It sits next to the Obelisk and on a walking distance to a number of BAs landmarks, including the famous Galleria Pacifico. You can also easily walk from there to the Mitre station (for a visist to Tigre!) as well as the Colonia ferries. Reasonable/Good value for the money even though the rooms definitely are on the small side.
- scott weston (8/5): In the heart of downtown - I was three days ahead of my cruise, time enough to search out the town. In the shadow of the obelisk is how close the hotel is. Things are starred on the European standard. So their four star in the U.S. would only get a three. Which is to say no huge entry way, no pool, gym or anything that I would use anyway. The room itself is a bit European small but very nice and comfortable. High level of most everything in the room. The girl at the desk during the day speaks very good English. Two nons are no free breakfast and no free wi-fi (a charge for it) Getting to the hotel is easy enough; $11 will get you a bus to the doorstep of the hotel but be aware the bus trip even on Sunday took over two hours to travel less than four miles. Traffic was near gridlock downtown. Get an interior room if you want silence, being on the main drag I can imagine a street window would be noisy. If your going on a cruise the short cab ride will be $5. Because of Hoetel.com, the room was a great price. I found most everything else in town comparable in price to home. I would happily book this hotel again.
- unplugged (8/5): Great location and great service - We arrived after a 17 hour bus ride and were in need for some serious R & R. This hotel filled the bill. We were not able to get into our room until the official check in time (mid afternoon) but we managed to use our time wisely until we were able to settle in. The hotel room is beautifully furnished and we felt like royalty. The bed was soooo comfortable and the bathroom was also beautifully appointed. We had a view of city from our 5th floor room which was stunning. And the location of the hotel can't be beat. Great restaurants and shopping in every direction. The front desk staff were especially helpful and really went out of their way to make us feel at home. The only drawback is that breakfast is not included, but there are great coffee shops very close by so it was actually a blessing in the end.
- tufte (10/5): Great place downtown Buenos Aires - This hotel is placed right next to the obelisco and conveniently close to the subway so you have access to more vibrant parts of the city. Recoleta district is within walking distance (15blocs) where you among others can see the burrial place ov Evita and nice museums and parks. If you are looking to have a party weekend you might be better of staying in Palermo, but we had no problem with the location and had late nights out all over town and didnt broke ourselfes taking a taxi to get back. This will be a bit pricey for backpackers but for people looking to spend the long weekend its perfect. The staff if very serviceminded and helpfull with requests and had no problem offering us a late check out with no additional cost. The staff spoke Ok english (some very good) but this is Buenos Aires and you should practice your spanish as most people dont speak that much english.

Casa Rosado, Teatro Colon and Cafe Tortoni, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants are walking distance from the hotel. Convenient location. Clean rooms. Breakfast food selection is excellent. Internet service is excellent.

Our room had an amazing view of the Obelisco (ask for a room with a street view). The hotel was extremely clean and everyone on staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel.

- Fabien (8/5): Great place to stay in the midst of downtown - I really enjoyed this hotel. I had a deluxe room with a view of the Obelisco, which was great. Although a bit noisy with windows open, when closed, you would not hear anything. But then, this is a 15 million-people city, and I was right downtown. This is also the widest avenue in the world with 16 lanes total! So, that is then par for the course. Service was great, staff was competent and very helpful and room was very comfortable, although not as big as a deluxe room as we would find in the US. On my next trip to Buenos Aires, I would definitely consider staying there again. I also ordered a pizza, which was OK. Not bad, by all means, but not great. This being said, it was quite nice.
- Christian (10/5): Great hotel for the price. - Great hotel, easy access to subway and main streets, friendly staff right from the beginning, always courteous and ready to help. Room was okay, pretty standard for these kind of hotels, but oh my, the bed was wonderful. Either the linen or the mattress, I don´t know, but had a very pleasant sleep every night. Starbucks coffee is located just nearby the hotel. An even cheaper alternative is just half a block away. 100% recommended.

The only drawback was that the breakfast was not included and was very expensive ($15 USD per person/per day). But there are good cafes nearby where we found breakfast much cheaper. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a convenient location and a nice room!
- C. Dobler (10/5): Elegant hotel in the heart of Buenos Aires - This hotel is perfect for visiting Buenos Aires. A lot of sights are within walking distance from the hotel and the Obelisco is really right outside your window. Rooms were clean and pretty quiet regarding the fact that one of the main streets is passing by in front of the hotel. The staff was helpful. We had a really great stay in this hotel!
