Wendi (9/5): A lovely boutique hotel with outstanding staff - The food was excellent. The staff was amazing. The grounds and the spa were lovely. The furnishings and public rooms were beautifully decorated. The restaurant, the spa, and the building with guest rooms were all separate. One of the days we were there it was raining. Although they had many umbrellas, it was wet and slippery walking from one area to another. The bathroom in our room did not have a full door - it was a folding louver door so that when one of us went to the bathroom at night, turning on the light disturbed the other person who was sleeping.

The décor was elegant, and the spacious suite was simply stunning. Every detail, from the luxurious furnishings to the thoughtful amenities like bath salts for the tub, made my stay unforgettable. The service was exceptional from check-in to check-out. I can’t praise the staff enough—especially Yvonne, Mogomotsi, Smiles, and all the attentive porters. Nothing was ever too much to ask. When I requested a breakfast table for 10 to celebrate my grandmother’s 80th birthday, the team handled it with grace and genuine care. One of the most special touches was the personalisation throughout the property, especially the Mandela photos. It was a true honour to stay in a suite once occupied by the great leader himself. Every staff member I encountered demonstrated what exceptional service really means—professional, warm, and deeply committed to guest comfort. From being met at my car and having my bags taken, to being welcomed with friendly smiles, this experience was five-star in every sense. I couldn’t recommend it more highly. The One Thing I Would Change: If I could change one thing, it would be the selection of body wash and creams. For a property as sublime as this, the toiletries could be elevated to match—something richer, creamier, and more luxurious in both scent and texture. A classic soap bar would also be a great addition for guests who prefer it. Small touches like these would take an already exceptional stay to the next level.

Spa, it’s beautiful but the staff was a disappointment - Loved almost everything about the place besides the staff by the spa, very disappointing The staff at the spa, when booking the spa they didn’t give us more information about it, like the rooms outside.. when we got there, they didn’t give us a tour like most spa’s usually do but funny enough when we were by the pool we saw another lady giving another couple a tour, strange. I had to ask where the pool was and they didn’t even take me to the pool, they just directed me and told me I won’t miss it. Worst experience by the spa
