- Gal (10/5): - This hotel is amazing!!! It is newly renovated and everything is in brand new condition. The interior design is OUTSTANDING. You have to see it to believe. If comfort, design, quietness, cleanness and luxurious are important to you don't miss out on this stunning hotel. The location is prestigious, very close to Marble Arch and Oxford street. The SPA and Gym are beautiful and equipt with everything you could want, even a beautiful Yoga room available 24/7. The staff is very welcoming and attentive. If traveling more than one person, choose the slightly bigger room as the wardrobe area is limited.

We left our thoughts with reception and await the hotel managers response. Great location and could be a real jewel.

- Lee (6/5): Not value for the price - The room we had, while quite large , was “tired “ and in need of some refurb eg sides of bed “frayed”. The sheets were not what we would expect for the price. Room not well serviced ie tea/coffee not replaced and no robes. When we asked for these they failed to arrive - had to ask twice. Also after being given a late check out by one hour, the room key was not adjusted so didn’t work! So all up, not value for money

- Cheryl (10/5): Anniversary stay - unforgettable and amazing - We decided to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary here. The location was idea plus we could make use of the spa facilities and enjoy an afternoon tea to add the extra special touch to our stay. This hotel is, truly, nothing short of amazing. Whether this be in relation to the elegant decor throughout, the amazing and friendly staff, or the delicious food and drink offerings, this hotel has it all. Upon arrival we were personally greeted by the very kind doormen and very swiftly taken through the check-in procedure, all with a friendly and helpful touch. We were very kindly upgraded to the 'wow suite' at check-in, which was massively appreciated! Inside our room, iced prosecco and cake were waiting for us and a handwritten note from Edward - which we thought was such a brilliant and lovely touch - thank you Edward. Our room was huge and featured an amazing four-poster-bed with star night lights and a decor which I found very classy and chic. Both bathrooms were stunning and very clean. We enjoyed our stay so much we are already planning to celebrate our birthdays here, our expectations were high when booking but were well and truly exceeded during our stay. We just couldn't think of anywhere else to stay!

- Lindsay (6/5): - It was OK but we had to ask 3 times for the mini bar fridge to be turned on & for bath robes which come as standard. Each time we were told someone would come up to the room straight away. They never did. So fridge never worked & no robes for the entire stay. Also the “no show” fee was charged after the first night (one nights stay). Apparently the receptionist hadn’t stopped this when I paid in full on arrival. This was soon sorted & reversed but just another inconvenience.

- Tom (10/5): Perfect, Central London Getaway - The Montcalm is a superb hotel for anyone looking at staying in central London location with quick access to all the city has to offer. It's also worth mentioning the hotel location is ideally situated so you don't suffer any of the noise that could disrupt your rest.

- Anthony (8/5): Worth a stay - This is a lovely hotel with great access to Oxford street. Rooms are very nice and the beds are comfy. Our overall stay was great but a couple of times the service could have been better. Took an hour to get an iron after 4 attempts and the bar area needed a thorough clean, concierge was excellent
- Michael (2/5): Avoid - really inflexible - Avoid - really inflexible, they just want your money. Booking was when London was on red weather alert and transport into London was suspended. We asked if we could the booking could be postponed but they refused, so all the money was lost. Dreadful - customer service are just words to them
- salem (2/5): - very bad room .. i had a problem with the sink and they refused to change the room and they sent a guy at 12 AM to fix the sink and still makes bed smell , The safety box wasn't work , A very bad smell at the halls and can not open the window. it was unbelievable stay at this hotel .. at the end when i went to check out i waited for 20 minutes to get my clothes from the laundry.

- isaac (6/5): Nice but not 5 Star - I wouldnt call it a % star hotel, fistly alot of loose parts around, including the taps in the shower falling off, Tv wasnt working, hair dryer was missing the head, towels had stains on, paint around the windows was very messy. Bedisde reading light idnt work. We wanted to use the spa, but was told you have to book in advance this was at 9am when the spa opened and we had to check out at 12 but the next option was at 12. Never had to book to use a pool in hotel before ,we called downstairs to the lobby they than got us a half hour slot. I dont think a it should be like that when a hotel advertises a spa.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing experience - Amazing weekend, from having the door opened for me and my bags carried for me, to the comfort of the room, the luxury look, and the friendliness of the staff, I would 100% recommend! Had some issues with the outlets (for chargers etc) as they were new and did not seem to be working, but within minutes maintenance was there and fixed it for me! Lovely staff, super comfortable bed, amazing bathroom (missing the shower already!), great location, and nice clean room with lots of mirrors.
- Temitayo (2/5): Terrible service and hotel - 2 nights stay with no water! There was a problem but they couldn’t come up with a solution. Even if they couldn’t fix it. It was valentines weekend, literally couldn’t shower. I had to get them to find a solution for me and my partner as we had reservations that were booked months in advance for the weekend. We finally were able to go to the their partner hotel across the road for a shower (this was after acting out of character for justice). They couldn’t even offer to move us to the other hotel. Had to go across the street in the rain to shower and come back to the room to get dressed, when they could have offered to move us as a solution

In the morning of our stay there was no water to our room so we was un able to shower. Reception told us they hope it will be back on soon, but it didn’t so we had to check out without being able to have a morning shower. Disappointed! as reception did not offer an alternative room. Would not book with Montcalm again

- Rhian (6/5): Nice stay, poor service - We had a nice stay. The room was comfortable and had all the amenities you would expect. However, I left something in the room on check out, and called as soon as I realised (less than 24 hours later). I received no help at all and didn't receive the item back. Really disappointing.

- bethanie (6/5): Not what I expected - I booked a last minute for a family member and I. We turned up to the hotel and the check in went smoothly but when we arrived to the room it looked very dated. The shower has black patches on the wall and the room smelt of cigarette smoke. Whenever I turned the tap on in the bathroom there was a funny smell which was very off putting. The wallpaper on the walls was also coming away and looked like it could do with a refurb. I was also dissapointed when I went to the bar and asked for a cocktail and got the simple response of ‘I am too tired you can only have beer, wine or spirits no cocktails’ I have never experienced that sort of service before. The spa was nice but hygiene wise again was disappointing.

Did not like the fact that Expedia refused to compensate for the club lounge being closed saying that even though I booked a Club room I did not have the free access as it was not stated on the booking details. All Club rooms at the hotel come with free access. Hotel verified this and upgraded our room to a suite in recognition of the fact. Very poor service from Expedia

- Carolin (2/5): Awful service - closed hotel - I arrived to a closed hotel, I had sent an e-mail saying I would be receiving post. No answer, the day before my arrival they hotel sent out a confirmation of the booking. When I arrived (in a taxi) from Heathrow, a note on the door saying the hotel was closed and to go to their Paddington hotel. I didn't stay in their Paddington hotel which was more like a hostel. Maybe stop taking bookings and payments if you cannot offer a stay?

- Andy (10/5): Great hotel in good location - Lovely hotel, staff very attentive/helpful. Although with the present COVID rules the hotel was still a good place to stay. Afternoon tea with free flowing Prosecco is a must try and lovely food. Hankies restaurant was also really lovely place for evening meal, Indian style food and pleasantly presented in a different format.
- Jehanzaib (8/5): Good hotel in central London. - Nice clean hotel. It’s located in the very start of oxford street next to Hard rock hotel/Cafe. We booked this hotel thinking we will be right in the middle of the Oxford street but the hotel is located in the very start of oxford street on Marble Arch and 5 minutes walk to EDGWARE road. If you plan to go to Piccadilly Circus, you will have to take a bus. Location was still not bad at all. 5 minutes walk to oxford street. Rooms were nice not so big but that’s common in central London. We did not try their breakfast so can’t review. Nice and quick service on arrival and check out both. Overnight parking outside the hotel is free until 8:30am. If we don’t find even better location in future, we will definitely come back to Montcalm.

The owners should consider in investing in some new carpets and a paint job in order that the hotel is up to the high standard set by the staff.
