- Barry (10/5): - In old town, walking to all places of interest. Pick this location to be near everything. We come back every year and stay here for decent, cost-effective trip. Staff helpful, but little English. Breakfast complimemtary is very fine and tasty. Do it again, Agan!

BUT THE BATH AND TOILE IS VERY DISSAPOINTING: 1) The bathroom drainage is not good by the time you finish the water is at your ankle. 2) When you flash the toilet, water comes from behind and splash the metal dustbin hence rusted. 3) a smell is coming out of the toilet as its not cleaned well, the old brush has turned brown, the fold of the toilet is black, hence the smell coming out of that, had to close the bathroom to keep out the smell out of the bedroom. everything else good.

- julia (6/5): - The staff is very polite and nice. We stayed for 5 nights and on the second day the shower hose burst. They immediately fix it but now the water was liking from the Mai faucet so we had no water pressure. Also every day there was no water for short period of times.

- Craig (10/5): New Years 2020 A week at the Agan - We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Agan. The location was very convenient. We slept well. The building is consistent with the surrounding hotels. It is not brand new but clean and in good working order. Staying there for a week, we got to know most of their staff. They were organized and knowledgeable and very friendly. They managed some minor situations with meals or the room with us and others quickly, efficiently and very satisfactory. We ate at a few other establishments but found the Agan meals to be the best and the least expensive. We took advantage of a day trip to Troy, and the Airport shuttle. They can speak many different languages and they will try and find a staff member best able to communicate with you. Their English was very good and we highly recommend the Hotel Agan! We even stayed in to enjoy the New Years meal and entertainment. Enjoy your Istanbul Adventure at the Hotel Agan! We did!

- Verified traveler (6/5): - We chose this hotel for 2 nights because of the many positive reviews. But let me tell what I didn't like. Although booking a standard double room, we were given a very small one that looked like an economy room. There wasn't any space at all, no balcony also. When we checked in, the roomed smelled like paint or glue, not very pleasant welcome. The shower cabin was semi-open and all the water from the shower went to the floor and the toilet. The other thing that was unacceptable was that if you go to breakfast at 9.30a.m. there was nothing left to eat, I mean really nothing except bread and jams. There weren't even forks. I told the guy that was there but he just hid in the kitchen and didn't appear. Well, when I'm on a vacation, I'm not supposed to wake up at 8 in order to have breakfast. I have been to many hotels but even the cheapest ones offered something to eat until 10a.m. So I would not stay at this hotel again. The price I paid didn't meet the normal expectations of a good hotel.

- Amanda (8/5): Nice hotel close to main attractions - The hotel is situated above a restaurant / cafe in a street that is full of very interesting restaurants in a very popular area - this is pretty standard. Surprisingly not noisy at all. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. My room was perfectly clean with a decent bed and crisp white linen. The bathroom is new and clean with lots of hot water. The room is small but this did not bother me. Breakfast was simple but good. If you take other meals in this restaurant they offer a 10% discount for hotel guests. Within easy walking distance to main tourist attractions and the tram stops. Happy to recommend Agan hotel to others

And there was this food smell coming up on to 5th and the 6th floor (from midnight till morning) I almost got sick. I was moved to a room on the 4th floor following morning and it was okay, except for the fact that I could here next doors talking, watching tv and sneezing etc. Breakfast was okay, decor is very old and not so clean (table cloth in breakfast area), location is good - less than 10 min walk to Hagia Sofia & Galata Bridge. So many hotels available in the area so I recommend you stay in others

- Alice (10/5): Excellent Location - The location of Hotel Agan is perfect. All touristy places and historical places are within minutes away. Tram/Metros less than a 3 minute walk. Since it's in the middle of it all, there is never ending shops, restaurants (including Again Hotel's full service restaurant) The breakfast buffet is awesome. Good variety. The staff is accommodating and knowledgeable. Rooms are very comfortable with good mattress. Complimentary toileties even include ear swabs :) thumbs up. Housekeeping comes daily, and does a great job of restocking etc...but I usually just tidy up myself when staying at accommodations. I spent part of my trip just to relax and unwind since I am still on an extended trip. I needed the rest and the room was perfect for that. Highly recommend. Would be glad to return.
- Ms (10/5): Very Nice Hotel - This is one of the best hotels around the sultanahmet area. Its close to everything including the trum and metro station. The whole staff was very friendly and welcoming and they spoke a variety of languages and also they were very very helpful. This is our second time staying at this hotel and we would definitely come back.

- Moustafa Tahawi (6/5): Couple trip - The hotel location is very good as its very near to Sea (Marmara-Phosphor) - near to the train (Tram&Marmaray) - near to most of the historical places. However it has very small entrance hotel, the check in/out is 12:00 pm, also small restaurant with good free breakfast, only the reception talking in English, the cleaning of the room was very bad specially the pillows and the drinking cups, TV with Turkish channels only i tried to change the SAT but i couldn't. I Just recommend this hotel for the people who want to save money.

Overcharged us by treble for a taxi transfer that was arranged by the hotel & was told there was not a mini bus service for transfers but there was . There are trams for those that do not want to walk at the end of the street. There are plenty of restaurants to suit all budgets. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly. For a budget simple hotel it was perfect but do not expect Western European 4 star comfort. I would happily stay there again.

Effective provision for the basic needs of someone in need of comfortable, warm lodgings and a sense of safety. Fair breakfast but good dinner. Had a brief issue with the hotel cancelling my booking without my knowledge, but this was effectively resolved by the front office manager. Would advise the hotel get in touch with the client first as this could be very embarrassing.

- WC (6/5): Close to old town. - Staffs are great. Hotel is clean and close to attractions within walking distance. Room is small but clean. Walls between rooms are thin. No coffee maker in room. TV channels are all Turkish, only one English channel I found is NTH World Japanese news channel.

Istanbul is a great place to go...however beware of wondering pick pockets and knife point robbers! we learnt the hard way. No bad comments about the hotel and location! if you're after simplicity and convenience...I definitely recommend you stay here.
