Guest Reviews
- Journey10995694424 (2/5): Shocking. - Shocking experience, and a ruined holiday. We didn't plan to stay there, but we were sent there by a sister hotel, as they couldn't host us. When I came to the lobby I already had a bad feeling, as it smelled like weed, and didn't seem too clean. But when we went to our room, I was shocked to see how dirty it was! Dirty matress, white stains on the table, hair and dirt in the floor, broken toilet, dirty stains everywhere, also signs of bedbugs! I checked other reviews and our fears were confirmed. Also a pile of some maintenance rubbish, just in front of the door, and loud banging of other people's doors. We refused to stay there. I had to disinfected all my belongings after spending there an hour. Absolutely unacceptable. I can't even imagine how they've got 4 stars. We couldn't find an alternative accommodation as it was the night time, so ended up returning home. Still better that staying in that place.
- Oliver (10/5): - Great
- Hughes (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (2/5): Very poor -
- Craig (2/5): Very poor - The location The room was tiny, dirty, hot and the photos on the website are nothing like the old beaten up version of what you really see. We asked for our money back and managed to find a really nice place just across the street. Don't waste your time going here.
- Jamie (8/5): Very good -
- Flierman (1/5): Disgusting horrible and bad service -
- Kirsty (5/5): Nice location. - Location. Needs an upgrade
- Ellie (3/5): Okay if you want to be near Hyde park but rooms need taking much better care of. - Lovely from the outside and even reception area nice. Good location to tube and hyde park all in walking distance. Kitchen amenities okay. Reception is the only area seemed to be taken care of. Corridors smells fusty and unclean. Rooms didn’t seem very clean and everything a bit worn especially the shower. On one occasion (we’d used it before and was okay), the bathroom sink sprayed out jet black water - no exaggeration. We took photos and showed to staff member on our way out. He shrugged and said he’d try to get someone to look at it but to not drink the water. We asked if there was any bottled water we could take up as it was 32 degrees, he directed us to the Sainsbury’s round the corner.
- Natasha (1/5): Bad - First issue, we received an email to advise the original hotel we had booked was closed and had been moved to the sister hotel which was a further 15 minute walk away , we contacted the hotel via booking.com on Tuesday 1st July to check if we were still booked at the sister hotel, to which we were advised yes.
Friday (day we arrived) I had sent a message to the hotel again via booking.com to advise we will be arriving late due to travel from Swansea (4-5 hour journey) and they responded to advise that the reception is 24/7.
Friday evening, we arrived at the sister hotel to find that we were not booked there and that the original hotel was open and they cancelled the rooms they had booked the week before, which would have been the week commencing 23rd June 2025 (so when we had contacted on the 1st to confirm which hotel we were advised the sister hotel even though the original hotel was open and taking bookings as planned) we then made our own way to the original hotel which was a 15 minute walk with all of our luggage at 10:30pm at night and as a group of 3 girls in London we felt very unsafe and frightened.
Upon arrival at the original hotel, we checked in and went up to our room 317, to find it in horrific condition, mould in the bathroom, dirty bed sheets and mattress, kitchen surfaces and sink unhygienic, dirty stains all over the walls and the floor looked very unclean and felt we couldn’t walk on the floor barefoot. We called reception, who advised us as we were booked in the cheapest room they couldn’t offer us a better room (we paid over £400 for our stay, which is a lot of money), but they offered us a room in the basement, to which we asked if we could see first before confirming we would accept it, when we went to see the room it wasn’t in much better condition having damp on the walls, but we agreed to accept the room due to the fact that it was midnight and we had no where else to go or no money to book elsewhere.
- Christopher (1/5): Bad - I would never stop here again.. absolutely nothing Executive about these apartments
. Unclean.. bad odours in the room. For the amount we have been charged I feel completely ripped off
- Samantha (5/5): Good location, substandard accommodation. - Location was great for tube and parks, staff on blade so very polite and helpful Very basic rooms for price , no air con or fans although fan was provided when requested but it was broken. Only one towel provided for 2 people, had to go to reception to get more. Shower not working properly, cracked tiles in bathroom. Rotten woodwork on doorframe in bathroom. Blind at window had holes in it so let light through.
- Phil (7/5): Decent room spoilt by no air con on a very hot weekend - Clean, good location The first room we were given pigeons had got into the room! The hotel changed our room straight away.
The room was very hot, a fan was provided as no air con, but still very hot.
Shower head wouldn’t stay on.
- Brian (8/5): Very nice place to stay - Being central, close to tube station and other facilities. When coming into contact with staff they were polite and helpful. Apartment could have been doing with a tea towel and dish cloth. Also air conditioning as it was hot.
- Krzysztof (7/5): Good - It wasn't in a basement like last time, so fortunately, we couldn't hear the underground. This time the room was on the top floor and the hot weather during the stay proved that a fan instead of air condition is not enough to cool the room.
- Kayla (8/5): Very good -
- Rebecca (6/5): Pleasant -
- Dylan (2/5): - Room was dirty. Paint coming off the walls. They checked us out the night before we were due to leave so our keycard didn’t work when we came back at 10pm. Cockroaches in the bathroom
- Anonymous (4/5): Would not recommend. - Linens were clean, great location We were told a month ahead of our stay that our booking was being moved to a sister property. Arrived at sister property to be told it was back at original location. So not a great start. Arrived and reception area was disorganised and member of staff ignored me whilst he worked on the computer. We were then given our room (018) which was accessed by a glass walkway which was dirty - bits of wiring and bird feathers. Room had mould in the bathroom, marks on the window blind and on light switches. Smelled not fresh. There was also a leak from the skylight window so I stepped in a puddle when I got up for a wee in the night.
The bed linen and towels were spotlessly clean at least.
- Anonymous (8/5): Overall great value for money and location. Would stay again - The location was great and near a lot of tube stations The rooms were quite warm but in all fairness a fan was provided even though it was quite noisy. Only one pillow per person on the bed. The blinds in the room had some very weird looking stains.
- Hannah (4/5): Good location to Hyde park but basic accommodation - In a good location and good facilities in the apartment The window opened onto a communal area, mould in the shower, flat pillows, no air conditioning, marks on the wall.
- Dawn (6/5): Pleasant -
- Mary (6/5): Overpriced for the accommodation we had - Convenience of the hotel to Hyde park and tube station We were emailed that we were moved to another hotel and when we arrived on the 4th July at the new hotel we were informed that we were back to the original hotel! No one had the decency to email us. It’s is advertised as executive apartments the main reception looks lovely but when you get upstairs it’s very dated. Our apartment had two beds, one being where the small kitchen was and then a separate shower with toilet. Fridge shelf on the door was broken. Another fan would have been helpful as it was super hot while we were there so we had to keep changing it to the other room.
- Aideen (1/5): Bad -
- Johnny (6/5): Pleasant - Great location Wasn't the cleanest, and the staff weren't too interested with rushing to help on check in etc. The building was absolutely boiling which wasn't helped by the weather, but regardless a little aircon would be expected for the price.
- Sian (5/5): Passable - location was fantastic and staff were nice we had no pillow cases on the bed and the pillows were stained, when given pillow cases they were dirty also. the heat of the room/ floor was unbearable , dust everywhere in room.
- Williamson (3/5): Good for location only due to concert - Good location Place was dirty and covered in dust, bathroom door didnt close, TV didnt work (asked staff to fix this and nothing was done about it), no air conditioning, ceiling started to drip dirty water, only 1 pillow per bed, towels not replaced during stay
- Thomas (4/5): The location is smazing but once past reception is very run down we were in basement and the little courtyards leading t - Location is great and staff friendly Room was very run down bed extremely uncomfortable bathroom was dirty and shower door wouldn’t shut microwave wasn’t wiring in kitchen no fans in room
- Avidtravels96 (4/5): Poor - I stayed here recently and unfortunately, I wouldn’t choose to stay again. While the location is definitely a plus just a short walk to Hyde Park the overall experience didn’t match the price or expectations. Firstly, there was no air conditioning in the room, which made it really uncomfortable, especially in warmer weather. You can open the windows, but that doesn’t do much to cool the place down. Cleanliness was another issue. The room didn’t feel properly cleaned there was dust on surfaces, bits of food under the bed/next to the bed and the bathroom could have used a much more thorough once-over. It just gave off a tired, slightly neglected vibe. The bed was extremely soft way too soft for me personally, and I woke up with a sore back most mornings. That might be down to personal preference, though, as some people might like that kind of mattress. There’s also minimal service this isn’t a traditional hotel with a staffed reception around the clock, so don’t expect much in the way of assistance or amenities. It’s more like a serviced apartment setup, but even then, it didn’t feel particularly well-maintained. Overall, the best thing about the place was the location, but everything else was pretty disappointing. With a bit more attention to cleanliness, comfort, and maybe at least a portable AC option in the summer, it could be much better.
- robert (6/5): - Not too bad for the money. A little run down, needs some maintenance. But the reason that would stop me staying again was the heat! It was a very warm day/night that I stayed, but on entrance the lobby was lovely and cool as it had air conditioning. The remainder of the hotel did not! It was 37 degrees in my room! With only a pedestal fan in there that didn’t work!
- Michael (4/5): Disappointing -
- Jack (5/5): Ok - Good location Had a email to say I’ve been moved to a sister hotel down the road, got to the other hotel said my room wasn’t ready waited nearly an hour went back up to see what was happening and they said I’m back in the original hotel no communication which resulted in missing my reservation for food.
- Wilson (4/5): Good location however filthy - Location was very good The cleanliness of our room was appalling. One of the hottest days of the year and the window does not open.
- Noele (8/5): - All ok- once we were at the correct hotel. I’d been notified we’d had a change of venue. Went to the new hotel to be told we were actually at the original. Added half an hour to our tight schedule which was frustrating
- Nicola (5/5): Passable - The location was good. The bed was horribly uncomfortable and one of the (lumpy) pillows didn't even have a pillowcase on it. Only one towel each, no hand towel or bathmat which meant we had to use one of our two towels to put on the floor when stepping out of the shower so as not to make the floor slippery.
- Liz (8/5): Great base in a good location whilst at a concert in Hyde park - Location was excellent for the concert we went to at Hyde park. On a lovely street and great to venture out for a really decent breakfast. Price was not too expensive. No pillow cases- just the pillow for one and a pillow protector for the other. I reported at the reception that we needed two pillow cases but nothing was done. No mugs in the kitchen area despite having a kettle and tea or coffee. Not the cleanest in the bathroom but for the price I don’t think too bad.
- Peter (8/5): - The accommodations were basic, but solid. I didn’t need much but noticed the microwave didn’t work, the shower door didn’t close easily and the pillows were flat and uncomfortable. I’d stay again, for that price, but travel with my own pillow
- Neil (8/5): - Location good, with a useful kitchen
- Clifford (6/5): Tolerable. - Good location Rooms were in need of decoration and maintenance / repair and poorly equipped, microwave did not work, broken/loose/cracked switches and sockets, window blind dirty and heavily stained, only 3 spoons, two knives, two bowels and one plate between two people. No forks to eat with!
- B (8/5): Very good -
- John (6/5): - Pros:
This hotel is in a great location, walkable to Paddington station (UBER will not pick you because the ride is about 6 pounds). The staff was helpful and pleasant.
My room was on the fourth floor facing the street. It was roomy and comfortable with a kitchen (stocked with cookware, plates and utensils). I was able to make breakfast or dine in.
There was a large wardrobe with an iron and tabletop ironing board. The laundry room was on the third floor.
The best part about my stay is that the cleaning staff did not disturb you unless you requested for the room to be cleaned.
Cons:
There is no air conditioning only a fan. It was very hot on some days and nights. I could open the window but there was no mesh to keep the bugs out. Under the bed needed cleaning.
If they installed air conditioning, I would stay there again.
- Nahom (10/5): Exceptional -
- Barnaby (7/5): Comfortable - Easy check in and an easy place to sleep. 9/10 location! Two fire alarms going off at 8am and 9am.
- Anonymous (7/5): Good - Very good location Lost property here that I could not get back.
- Mohammed (6/5): Pleasant -
- Melanie (4/5): - Room too hot, no aircon and no fan provided. Window would not stay open, kept closing had to prop open with a toaster to allow ventilation into the room which then invited a pigeon into the room.
- Benjamin (2/5): - I stayed here for one night (thankfully) last weekend. I was sent an email less than a week before I was to travel explaining that I have been moved to a sister hotel. I was supposed to be staying with family in the apartments and they weren’t moved? So I had to walk an extra 15 minutes with heavy bags in the pouring rain only to be told they were fully booked (The excuse was that the Exec Apartments were closing down but have managed to start back up again?) and they sent me back to the apartments where I walked back in the heavy rain and eventually got checked in, soaked from head to foot. Nightmare start.
I booked this as the accommodation location near the underground and parks for convenience, but the room's condition was utterly unacceptable.
I was put in a basement apartment, which the cleanliness was way below average, dirty blinds the toilet seat was broken and there was litter in the courtyard and a rat poison box for me to look onto. Then after an uncomfortable night on a terrible mattress I found out that the tube runs underneath my room so I was woken at 6am with constant trains thundering underneath.
This cost me £231.20 through Hotels.com, who aren't interested in my complaint. I recommend that you do not stay here at all. The entire customer experience coupled with the awful accommodation ruined my weekend with family.
- Belocalovingham (2/5): JUST DO NOT BOTHER! - I stayed here for one night (thankfully) last weekend. - William (10/5): - Great location and wonderful staff!
- Mohammed (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anna (6/5): - I just got back from my trip yesterday and after several reviews both good and bad I still decided to book here. Overall, the hotel was just okay. You get what you pay for. It was clean and easy to check in/access, the location was great literally 2min walk to Hyde Park, bus tour stops, city bus stops and a few little cafes for meals. The rooms are small but not as bad as I was expecting from the other reviews I read, the room was pretty spacious in my opinion which was great! My cons however were the room has no air conditioning and it gets' very stuffy/hot at night which was pretty uncomfortable for my husband and I. They provide an electric fan but even that didn't fully help. The shower was tiny, maybe the smallest we've ever used, we made it work but definitely made the experience difficult when it would get so warm at nights and wanna freshen up 1-2x a day. Our water pressure in the shower was also very low and made showers longer. We wish they provided a little more body wash and shampoo we ran through ours in about 2 of the 3 days. Bring or buy your own if possible. The bed was pretty stiff but not unbearable, we were okay with that since we were there a short time. Out of 10 I'd give the hotel about a 6, it was clean and they also provide luggage storage for 10pounds.
- Muhurie (6/5): - It's a very clean hotel; however, during booking, they should let us know the room's position. For example, my room was underground., IImagine that's insane for such an amount of money; an underground space with no view and no air feels cramped. Okay, but let the customer know where they are reserving during the booking process.
- Simone (10/5): - You get what you pay for but I was treated with hospitality and respect would use again.
- Rianne (10/5): - Enjoyed our stay. The staff member was very friendly and welcoming, and the rooms were nice and clean. It would be great if they could add an ironing board and iron, a couple of extra pillows and a hairdryer. But overall, very happy with our stay, and would stay again. So many food options in the area and a 3 minute walk to the rube station.
walk to the tube
- Benton (5/5): Passable - Location
Staff Beds
Shower
Condition of the room
In the basement
- Amanda (7/5): Good -
- Seachild (5/5): Passable - Good location The room and facilities inside were not clean.
- Michael (10/5): Was a good place to stay for end of a most excellent holiday - Close to Royal parks, nice high street close by Nothing
- Ortega (7/5): Good -
- Pamela (6/5): Basic with a 5 star location - Location is perfect I think if they dropped the name executive then people wouldn’t expect too much , it’s a basic apartment with minor flaws clean enough location is the best and the price should reflect this
- Hannab (7/5): Good - the location Need to purchase new blinds they were grimey from the kitchenette area.
General maintenance.
Toilet seat was broken
- Tim (8/5): Convenient Accommodations for Good Value - This property is very close to Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens and several Tube stations. There are lots of shops, restaurants, and pubs within easy walking distance. The accommodations are basic but comfortable and include a small kitchen. There are coin operated laundry machines and a lift. I have stayed at this property several times and have been very satisfied.
- William (3/5): Poor -
- Joshua (10/5): - For the price amazing value
- Mcgregor (8/5): Very good -
- Klaus (2/5): Nice location but terrible accommodation - Location close to shops and restaurants and tube station. The accommodation was way below expected standard compared to the exterior of the building in a posh neighbourhood. It was further badly maintained and dirty.
- Maja (5/5): Great location if you can overlook the room issues - Great location, quiet surroundings, accommodating staff. Wasn’t very clean or kept.
- Aaron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jeny (8/5): Very good -
- Milovan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Erin (6/5): Pleasant -
- Dakota (5/5): Passable - Cozy really nice view
- Quelhas (6/5): Pleasant -
- Valeria (3/5): Ok but not ok - The location is great, and the reception staff are friendly. We were given a room where the key didn’t work. The receptionist apologized, explaining that the room hadn’t been used in a long time. The couch was extremely dirty, and the bed was sagging in the middle; the mattress was much larger than the bed frame.
- Nagyad (4/5): A noisy and less-than-pristine room with an excellent location. - The apartment is in an excellent location, right next to Hyde Park and close to a shopping street. All kinds of shops and restaurants are just a minute away. The room was not clean, and it seemed as though the window had not been washed for years. What could have been a pleasant view was completely obscured by dirt. The window did not close properly, allowing even the smallest noises from the street to filter in — sirens blaring through the night made it particularly loud, and cold air seeped into the room. The walls between rooms were extremely thin, to the point where even a neighbour’s whisper could be heard. This was exacerbated by an adjoining door between the rooms, which, despite being locked, provided no sound insulation. Sleeping was difficult, especially when neighbouring guests were noisy.
The floor was heavily worn, and the bed was sunken and uncomfortable. Over the course of a three-night stay, the room was not cleaned, and towels were not replaced. The ceiling light bulb had been removed and left on the table. While the bathroom was reasonably clean, the water pressure in the shower was very weak.
- Martina (8/5): I would suggest it! Would consider it again for another trip to London - It was comfortable, well organized and worth the money! Cleaning service should have been done at least once a day
- Elaine (1/5): We didnt stay, there was no heat or water so we got put into another sister hotel which was rubbish! - We didnt stay, there was no heat or water so we got put into another sister hotel which was rubbish! Ignored emails we sent regarding our disappointment. Will never book again. We didnt stay, there was no heat or water so we got put into another sister hotel which was rubbish! Ignored emails we sent regarding our disappointment. Will never book again.
- Dawn (6/5): - Bathroom had black mould
Asked for a second pillow which didn’t materialise despite staying more than one night
No individual heat/air con option in room so couldn’t adjust heating
- Antony (7/5): Good -
- Αλεξανδρος (8/5): Generally value for money - Location was great (central location, next to underground stations and buses, market)
Amenities were value for money
Heating was sufficient Noise from outside and from neighbouring appartments
- Janet (10/5): - We came for a theatre weekend and it was within easy access to the west end.
We needed a room for 3 people which they were able to accommodate.
They’d complimentary tea and coffee too
- Shira (4/5): - The rooms were nothing like the pictures shown. We walked in there were marks and stains all around the room on the walls the floors and the ceilings. Bed and bathroom are the cleanest parts but the kitchen area and appliances were dirty. We booked the property for the kitchen facilities but we didn’t even use it because there was nothing to cook with. No cutting board, no knives and it was too dirty to want to make food. Also the place smells. like everywhere.
When we first got there we had the cheapest room and we weren’t expecting much but with the state the room was in we had to complain. The staff at the front desk was very helpful and upgraded us into a better room. When we got to the upgraded room it was really dim and dark the lights weren’t working too well. The kitchen area especially the worktop was stained and dirty, there was so much dust and stains on the ceilings and there was a crack on the bathroom floor. So it wasn’t necessarily cleaner but it was better I guess so very grateful for the staff that helped us at the desk they were very nice!!
On the bright side, the beds were really comfortable and the staff seemed very friendly. Also the location truthfully was incredible!! 5 minute walk from the underground so it made going anywhere so easy and coming back to the place so simple. Also there are decent places around and a few stores to get snacks from in the area.
It was alright I won’t be coming back though.
- Matt (1/5): Disappointing. Given another room in a different hotel which was much lower in quality. - Was moved to a sister property due to property issues. The room we was given was a much lower standard and was dirty and missing half of what I booked. No warning in advance they were doing this. Emailed the hotel to complain and haven’t even been bothered to reply to me.
- Tina (7/5): Nice hotel, bit basic but we had a big room. Some dirty parts but we were only there to sleep so didn’t complain. Wouldn - Big room First had an email to say that we had been moved to a different hotel due to unforeseen circumstances then when we arrived at the other hotel we were told no Infact we were at the original hotel!! No email to confirm this either. Was told I needed id when we arrived, I don’t have id and nowhere was I told I needed id before we arrived.
- TERRY (8/5): Great value for money , clean and quiet. - I was a little sceptical about booking this hotel due to the many negative reviews in the past , in my opinion they where totally unfounded, the reception staff where friendly and efficient , the hotel has a lift to all floors which is not always the case in this part of London , the room was large , extremely clean and very quiet, i will book this hotel again.
- Anita (9/5): Great location good room for the price - Good location Very mall bed for 2
- Benedek (2/5): Very poor -
- Ivana (8/5): The accommodation has everything you need for a short stay in London, and the location is excellent. - The location of the apartment is excellent, very close to the metro and bus station, and close to the central part of the city that you definitely want to visit.
The privacy is great.
The apartment has a fridge, microwave, two-burner stove, and there are a few shops nearby, which is great if you want to cook for yourself. There are very few dishes, and there are no knives or dishwashing utensils.
Our apartment was on the first floor which has high ceilings so you have to climb a steep ladder to get to the bed as it is built above the bathroom. The good thing about it (first floor) is that we had a balcony which was great and not described in the offer. The apartment, especially the floor, windows are dirty.
The kitchen, bathroom and bedding are ok, but the general impression is that it looks better in the pictures than in person.
- Soph (3/5): Poor -
- Manole (2/5): Mis 🅰️ - I stay 2 nights the first room was ok and I prefer to. Make check out to be ready to make check in for second day the second room was terrible TV already on and bathroom smell at vomiting like I say at reception aswell
- Chris (5/5): Very good location to both Bayswater and Queensway tube stations and we had everything we needed. - Room was ok From our room we could feel and hear the door leading to the lift being slammed continiously especially during the night.
- Oscar (6/5): Not clean - Location Total lack of kitchen utensils.
The room was not clean
Dark
- Frances (5/5): I wouldn’t be coming back and I do not recommend. - The location was good, easy access to public transportation and the staff were nice. The first room I was given was really bad, it was stuffy and the sofa had a huge disgusting stain on it which should have been covered.
The bed had out of control wheels, I tried to fasten them with no luck hence the bed kept rolling freely with every movement which made sleeping impossible.
To switch rooms, I was made to wait till 2pm for someone to checkout which wasted half of my second day there and I had plans.
The second room was tiny but atleast it was warm with a fixed bed so we managed it cos I was honestly tired of going back and forth to the reception. I do not feel like I got value for the money I paid.
- Sarah (6/5): Citybreak
I - Location and convenient to underground stations and restaurants. Could have been a bit cleaner. Only 1 fork and 1 spoon between 2. Window didn't close properly so noise from outside could be heard clearly.
- Ian (7/5): Good -
- Henry (3/5): Great location but facilities and hygiene needs to be massively improved. - Great location close to facilities. The facilities were very old and very much needs an upgrade. Our kettle had mould and black spots at the bottom and obviously wasn't cleaned. Our bathroom was reasonably clean when we arrived but some of the shower equipment was falling apart or were rusty.
- Janet (9/5): Superb - Good value; helpful, friendly staff.
- Ana (9/5): Superb -
- Joel (2/5): - This properly is more a hostel than a hotel. I should have read the reviews before booking as I’d not have booked if I did. Room was smelly, run down and dirty. Hair in bed. Lipstick on the toilet paper?? & the shower was more of a drip than a powerful shower.
Staff lacked customer service & were not smiley.
- Priestman (10/5): Very pleasant - The overall look and feel was lovely. Staff were really helpful, nice size and great location to Hyde Park and tube station No negative parts. There was even milk pots in the fridge
