Guest Reviews
- Amir (6/5): - The room was not clean and they changed the room
- Mario (8/5): - It is a small hotel , bathroom are a little uncomfortable for people with disabilities.
The elevator only fit 3 people .
Breakfast very good , personnel very good and helpful
- Verified traveler (8/5): Ideal base to see Paris - Hotel was small, but very clean and comfortable. Room and shower always warm and were cleaned daily with fresh towels provided each day over a three night stay.
Reception staff were mixed starting from a base of the guy who checked us in on the Friday night barely acknowledging our presence to the guy who was on reception for our third day/night and was very pleasant/helpful.
Hotel is on quiet street off in NW Paris, close to any amount of convenience stores, fast food outlets, restaurants and bars which seemed really popular with locals. Two metro stations close by within easy 5-10 min walk mean that anywhere in city centre is easily accessible within 30 mins from leaving hotel.
We didn't avail of the breakfast option so have no idea what food is like, but as said earlier, many available options close to hotel for less than 15€.
If you want to spend minimal time in a hotel room but have home comforts when you're there this is perfect and also for a very good price.
- Denis (8/5): - Good overall hotel. Small rooms but to be expected in Paris. Close to metro.
- el (8/5): - .
- Emma (10/5): - Great place for a one-night stop
- Michael (10/5): Recommended. - Nice quiet area. La Fourche Métro station was less than 5 minutes away. Line 13. Handy for all connections.
- Anil (4/5): Average - We stayed at this hotel for two nights. The staff was very polite and respectful. Although the room was small, it was clean and tidy. The shower was a bit uncomfortable to stand in. The breakfast was quite basic with no fruits, so it's probably better to eat out. The room lacked air conditioning, a kettle, and a fridge. On the positive side, the hotel's transport links were excellent. While I wouldn’t choose to stay here again, it wasn't a bad option considering the price for a couple.
- Christian (8/5): - Positiv
-Zimmer sehr ruhig
-Personal sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich
-Preis-Leistung ist in Ordnung
-Metro und Busse in der Nähe
-Bäckereien und Supermarkt ebenfalls in der Nähe
Negativ
- Godknows (2/5): - What's there to like, really? From the moment you walk through the front door, a nasty smell welcomes you.
Then the very unwelcoming "reception" staff, if we can call them that. (Once as I walked back into the 'hotel', one of them very impolitely asked me, what's your room number!? As if to say, are you sure you have a hotel reservation here)
Then good luck if you have luggage because the lift can hardly accommodate 2 people at once, careful when it closes it might smash into you. I wasn't very lucky a couple of times
Our room was on the first floor, and when you come out of the lift, you have to squeeze through because the space between the corridor and the door is tiny.
Then we had to tolerate the noise coming from the street below, people having their beers late into the early morning. The street itself reeks of urine
Then, the small matter of the tiny tiny tiny shower space. Goodness. You can't move your arms without smashing into the glass.
The drain in the shower floods and you have to wait to let the water drain away before opening the shower again. Rinse and repeat
Then the poor wifi connection. Comes and goes. Couldn't connect on the TV channels. Ended up not using the TV
My wife wanted to use the hair dryer/blower and surprise surprise, didn't work.
Shower gel was nearly empty. Used it twice only that's it.
Then last but not least I don't understand why hotel staff come into the room when people are not there, even when there's no "please clean my room
- Javier Hugo (10/5): Todo perfecto! - Habitacion pequeña pero muy limpia y moderna. Buena cama, baño ok. Excelente relacion precio calidad.
- Nikhil (8/5): - Room's are clean and tidy. I like it. Staff are also kind and helpfull.
A recommander
- Linda (8/5): For a quick paris visit very nyce - Where the hotel was situated was the best. Metro and buss are so close to the hotel. I loved that. Great service. Very simple breakfast so just okey on that
- Nora (10/5): - Everything was good :)
- Erwinlee (10/5): - The property was going through a slight renovation but it was fine. The lift is quite small and if you have a big luggage, you have to adjust the luggage into the lift. Nice that it has spiral stairs although the steps were tight. The hallway lights were off at night so that was kinda weird to me but that's fine, I had my mobile phone. The shower is small but works.
- Hector (8/5): - The hotel is very good in relation price/quality, Paris is expensive but here you have everything you need.
The cleaning in the hotel/room was very good which is very important for me.
Also I recommend pay the extra for the breakfast, athough it don't have much variety the price is good.
The location is well conected, metro station 3 blocks away and severa buses near by.
- Alastair (2/5): - Arrived and the room we were given was not cleaned. Given another room that was clean but the hotel was being refurbished and there were wires hanging from the ceiling outside the room
Not the hotels fault but it was over 30degC and there was no aircon so don't book this hotel in the summer.
Staff were very polite and helpful and I checked out after one day and got a refund on the 3rd night
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Lovely small hotel near Montmartre, staff are very handy and helpful, walking location to Moulin Rouge, a lot of amenities around the area, rooms are small but practical.
- MARTHA (4/5): - the hotel people were very friendly but the room and bathroom were very small, no AC, no mirror (only a small one in the bathroom), the towels were clean but very old (grey), they made the bed every day but they never vacuumed the floor, no space to walk or unpack suitcases. I would not go back to this hotel.
Man får hvad man betaler for😁
- Ann-Christin (10/5): Över förväntan, MYCKET prisvärt - Fräscht, mycket trevligt bemötande av ALL personal.
- Emilija (10/5): - Please book this hotel! As a solo female traveler, I cannot be happier I chose them. If you are looking for a squeaky clean place, comfortable bed, pillows, friendly and helpful staff who speak good English, this is your place! I want to especially thank Patel, Clemente & Sterline for being accommodating and taking care of my every need and question. Seriously, if you are looking to not break bank and spend too much money on your Paris hotel, book Hotel Legendre! It has everything you need and more. The location is also amazing, metro is close, there are plenty of cafes and food options!
- Sebastien (2/5): A éviter.
- akos (10/5): Excellent location and very comfortable - Very comfortable room!
- LESLEY (4/5): Not great - We had ants in our room, the hair dryer didn’t work, the bed was pushed against the wall so one of us couldn’t get out of bed, not very clean, the shower was tiny !
Was very expensive for such a poor hotel !
- Mauricio (6/5): - The rooms are spacious but the furniture and decoration is kind of old and needs a better look. The room didn’t have a fridge.
- Annika (8/5): Alles gut - Alles gut!
- Marie (8/5): - Short distance from the Market Place, there was some work going on, wich disturb us a little bit
- Verified traveler (2/5): - NO SAME WITH PHOTO , LIFT POOR ..
LOCATION FAR ..
OVERALL NO GOOD
- Moira (8/5): Don't judge a book by its cover - On arrival, we were disappointed by the condition of the hotel but in fairness, they were renovating. The lift was not working but the staff were amazing. The man at the front desk sorted out rooms on the first and second floors. He was extremely helpful. If you are not looking for complete luxury - just the basics - this hotel is just fine. Nothing fancy, no tea or coffee in your room. There was wi-fi in the hotel. Basic breakfast. We just needed a decent place to sleep and this hotel was fine.
- May (2/5): - The hotel smelled like a brothel. Our 6th floor room did not have an air conditioner and was stifling hot. We were told that they don't use the air conditioner for certain months. The room also had no furniture but was a nice size. It was a shame that there was no air conditioning because we could have toughed it out for one night. We were scheduled to check out the following day anyway to go to our 4 night hotel. Then the management had the audacity to refuse to give me a refund.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The hotel was very old. Also, the bathroom was very small and was not comfortable at all. But very amazing staff!
- rona (8/5): Nice but you need transportation to go every where - The staff were very nice and helpful, the hotel was very outdated. The water pressure was great but the shower head was broken and wouldn’t stay in one place. We had to take transportation to the city but there were cafes, grocery, and restaurants near by
- Jan (6/5): Dirty but cheap - Kind of dirty.
- Edward (2/5): Smelly - The bathroom smelled like dirty armpits, the curtains were broken, the walls were falling apart. You could hear the people open their zippered luggage from your room and hear them talking at 3am, it was a horrible experience stay away from here.
- Tracy (2/5): Filthy - it was filthy. The moulding in the tub was showing black mold. I have pictures to prove it. The paint on the wall is peeling. There was dried soap scum in the shower. We were sooo tired that we slept in the car and didn't want to sleep on the bed for fear of bugs or maybe rashes. I give them a moon rock not a star. A waste of 178 euros
- Melanie (8/5): Perfect for simple trips not spent indoors - The hotel was very close to the metro and lots of good restaurants, and the workers all spoke very good english and were very nice to us and made us feel welcomed! the beds would always be remade and the rooms were cleaned while we were out on the town. The room was pretty small and the bathroom was very tiny but thats expected with such a nice price. The shower was hand held so it was hard to shower, i would not recommend if you need to stand in the shower. overall a great trip.
- Eric (8/5): Great value, comfortable stay in Paris - Hotel Paris Legendre offers great value for staying in Paris. It is conveniently located from 3 nearby Metro stations, and is easy to get to anywhere in Paris. The room is clean, comfortable, and has a fully functional bathroom. Strong shower with abundant hot water. The service maids are wonderful, personable, and did a great job every time cleaning the room. The front-desk is helpful and kind. I would definitely recommend this hotel to all, especially those who prefer value/comfort over non-essential additions.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - room condition is bad, nothing like shown in the picture. no phone in the room. below average hotel, not Worth the money at all!
- Tim (8/5): Great BUDGET Hotel, no noise from neighboring room - I stayed here with some trepidation after reading some reviews however I had a good experience (staying for 6 nights with my 18yo daughter)
1) Great value for money
2) Metro (Guy Moquet stop) 4 mins down road, goes directly to Champs Elysee and links to rest of metro
3) Area felt safe, restaurants, takeaways and mini-markets close by
4) Room small but not cramped (room 24 is a twin v much link the one in the pictures)
5) Clean, bed comfortable and made everyday
6) No mold in bathrooms and rooms clean. Separate toilet and bathroom
7) Toilet and Bathroom were cramped but functional. Shower strong but on a hose which worked but was unusual
8) Staff very helpful (printing and advising) and friendly
9) Some marks on walls here table/bed had rubbed and some by threshold of door. Nothing that spoiled a stay. Very small closet though, so we lived out of backpacks
10) Small elevator which is very hard to get in and out of except on ground floor - the hinge of the door is on the wrong side so you have to get into the corner of the corridor with a bedroom door (poor people in 21!) and squeeze around the door as you get out which is very hard with luggage.
11) Single power outlet on far side from bed so bring an extension
12) TV had zero english language stations (but does French, German, Chinese, Italian) resorted to watching Russian TV/propaganda as it's the only channel sometimes in English (I like TV before bed to wind down). Good modern TV and remote though.
Well worth the more
- Jennifer (6/5): Would definitely stay again (even with the issues) - Being two rather larger American women, my sister and I found the accomodations a bit smaller than what we were used to. Although it being France and for the very low price we paid, that was to be expected. However, there were a few issues with the bathroom. Upon arrival, we were assigned a room with a tiny bathroom-- my knees touched the wall when I was on the toilet and I'm 5'4". There was mold on the walls and the hair dryer did not work. HOWEVER, I immediately requested a room with a slightly larger bathroom, and the staff did not hesitate in the slightest to change rooms for us. The next room was the same size but did have a slightly larger bathroom-- my 5'9" sister had a few inches of space between her knees and the wall. The lighting in that bathroom and hairdryer did not work in that bathroom.
For the price, location, and service, we would stay again.
We never mentioned the mold nor the faulty hairdryer issue to the staff so I do not know if that will be taken care of. The non-existent lighting in the second bathroom was mentioned once on the first day but was not taken care of by the end of our 3 night stay.
Good points: Staff was very helpful and spoke English. Helped us get around and answered many questions. They accommodated a 2 hr early check in without a problem. Near stations to take you anywhere you need. eateries and shops right by. Laundromat beside the hotel. Nice view of the city for those sensitive types like me.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Clean cheap place for only shower and sleep - Clean rooms and receptionist spoke English and was very helpful. Just a place to shower and sleep as there is nothing to do in the neighborhood and the rooms need repairs. Area outside the shower had mold and was cracked and walk around the bed had holes.
- miglute (4/5): The hotel really needs a renovation!!! - The price was cheap but the hotel is really old fashion for that i dont mind but it needs renovation the lamp, floor is broken, the shower in bad condition aswell.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good value, good location, good service - We enjoyed the stay, the hotel meets all basic needs and is a very good value. I would give it a 3.5 rating.
- MALGORZATA (6/5): - Good value for money....cheap and at the centre of paris easily accessible to metros, buses and many indian restaurant nearby to eat curry
- Natalia (10/5): - Great service, amazing location so close to shops, 3 metro stations and a few minutes walk to the Moulin rouge. A long walk but still very possible to the Eiffel tower. The rooms are a bit small but unless you are going to Paris to sit in the room it's not a problem, 3 of us stayed there for 5 nights.
- ellie (6/5): Tight quarters & limited amenities - The staff were super fabulous. Everything was very small & if you're not incredibly able-bodied, don't book here. You're a long way from scenic Paris, but close to yummy bakeries!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good - We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and it was perfect for us. I had my son with me so a crib was needed and we had more then enough room to walk around even with our bags with us. It is a plain and simple hotel. The bathroom is tiny but unless you plan to sit in the hotel and do nothing then this will be fine. It's a 2-3 minute walk to the subway station. The employees were very helpful!
- bhushan (6/5): Small Room - The rooms are very small ..just a meter extra space around the bed.
- Rishi (8/5): Good location with lots of shops in the vicinity - Hotel was comfortable with clean rooms though the bathroom was quite small. Excellent and safe location with the metro and lots of shops nearby.
- Peter (6/5): Convenient ... but cramped - Paris is pricey ... so when you pay less, you get less. The Hotel Paris Legendre is in a nice part of town and a pleasant walk to the Moulin Rouge and and Sacre Coeur, but it isn't quite as nice as it would appear from the photos on Expedia. It's a bit run down (with stained tiles and paintwork in the bathroom) and is much smaller and more cramped than you would think.
- Lyric (4/5): Basic and shabby but friendly staff - Overall a disappointing stay. Decor was not in good condition both in the room and lobby. I would describe the room as basic but it was clean.
- Brenda (2/5): Quirky - The hotel was was easy to find and about 5 mins walk to 2 metro stations. Reception staff were friendly and very helpful. Our room was large but looked nothing like the photos on Their site. It had red walls, a mural of the Moulin Rouge on 2 walls; lighting was a red fluorescent lamp and 2 very dim bedside lamps. We had the bathroom shown on their site but was surprised there was nowhere to hook up the shower. There was no shower curtain either so the only option was to sit down and watch your aim.
- Marine (4/5): Hotel close to metro, restaurants and markets - The elevator is so small that two persons with suitcases can't get in. There is no lights in the corridors. You can get better for the amount charge. if I had read the reviews before I agreed with the choice suggested by Expedia I wouldn
- Enya (8/5): Good little hotel in good location - My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel for four nights on our Paris holiday. All in all we were very happy with our stay, it's in a really nice locations just off of Central Paris. You can get the metro to the main sites for €1.70 each with a few stations within five minutes and the area itself is still lively enough with great restaurants and bakery's. The owners of the hotel are friendly and speak English and our rooms were thoroughly cleaned daily. The rooms aren't huge and we ended up with a twin room and had to push our beds together, and the showering arrangement was a hand held shower over a small bath but for the money we were over all happy with our stay :-)
- jay (6/5): Price & location is ok, exellent staffs. - Location is ok. 8 mins walking to metro. Staff is helpful and friendly.
Room is old, not very clean, super small toilet. A bit noisy. However it's Paris, this price is reasonable.
- Sue (6/5): -
- CL (8/5): Near metro & convenient. With lift - Easy to locate the hotel. Walking distance to Hermes, Chanel boutiques & Lafayas etc...
. Also got a lot of restaurants & groceries shop near by.
Hotel staff are helpful & friendly
- Verified traveler (6/5): Business trip - on budget - I had to work in Saint Denis. So this hotel had a good location. Staff was very nice, the hotel is a 2 stars and met this definition. My room was just on the street and on the night between Tuesday and Weds there was rubbish collection (2 o'clock in the morning!!!). ANyway the room was clean and comfortable and except tuesday I slept very well during the other nights. For an hotel on budget I would suggest this.
- Olivia (10/5): Brillant for price - Didnt expect much when we booked this hotel but i was very happy with everything. The service is just outstanding! Everyone who works there is so friendly and helpful. Rooms were cleaned every day. Breakfast was sufficient (just lacked fresh fruit but you can easily get that from down the road). Location is close to two metros. I will definitely be staying here again next time im in Paris. And i would recommend to anyone!
- Cafe (6/5): Nice Hotel close to Montmartre - The hotel is close to three metro stations, but they are from the same line. The closer one is Guy Moquet. You have two supermarket, a pharmacy and other stores closer. There is a Laundry next to the hotel. The reception is 24 hours.
We open the window at night at it was very noisy but if you keep it close there´s no problem. There is a safety box in the room.
- Arhassan (6/5): New experience - There was no A/C and as the temperature was above 24 deg. c, I have to open the widow. Once done, it will be difficult to sleep because of the loud noises from the surrounding neiboughrs.
- Emma (10/5): Clean, comfy hotel close to metro - Clean and comfortable hotel for a good price.
Close to metro station which quickly gets you to all tourist destinations.
Staff are nice and very accommodating about watching luggage before and after your stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Goods cheap hotel. - Typical lower priced hotel, clean comfortable beds, small bathroom with a powerful hot shower, always a bonus. No fridge or kettle though. Easy access to three metro stations and good places to eat.
- Jonathan (8/5): Great location - Great place to stay, loads of local amenities and close to tube stations - in Zone 1 (central Paris). Clean but small room and bathroom.
