Guest Reviews
- suzsuzsuzzz (10/5): How to stay in Antigua without breaking the bank - Yepton estate cottage is the perfect accommodation for a specific type of tourist - ones like us!
Do not stay here if you are looking for all inclusive five star luxury with evening entertainment. However if your after an authentic Caribbean feeling chalet, well stocked with everything you will need for self catering, this is the place for you. With thoughtful extras such as cool box, umbrella and folding chairs to take to the beach. There are plentiful beach towels and access to a washing machine.
Eating out is expensive in Antigua compared to the UK and there are no restaurants really within walking distance so I would highly recommend a car, even just for your grocery shopping but also giving you access to explore the entire island - watch out for the potholes!
The hosts are most welcoming and helpful. We especially enjoyed spending evenings cooking on the veranda bbq overlooking the beautiful lagoon with a few drinks. A very peaceful place to stay.
- Fiona (10/5): - The property is in a lovely location, very quiet a a peaceful - you really need a car as nowhere nearby to get supplies, it’s basic, but immaculate and with everything you need. Sharon was very helpful, but we sadly we were unable to meet Gabriela and Douglas on this occasion, we had read such glowing reviews about them. (I hope you are feeling better, and hopefully we may get to come again and meet you). Deep bay is a 20 min walk and is just gorgeous.
- Michele (10/5): - The cottage was well furnished. The hosts were wonderful.
- Ronald (8/5): - Nice place. Basic, clean. 6 cottages overlooking a salt pond right behind coastal woods. 10 minute walk to Yepton Beach. 10 minute drive to St. John, but all routes lead thru narrow, pot-holed, 2-way traffic in poor residential neighborhoods.
- Steve (9/5): Superb -
- Nickolay (10/5): - It was great over all but you have to have a rental car. Basic but very good.
Have the most beautiful beach on the island near by- Deep Bay Beach. There is a guy there on the beach that cooks you a fish that he just caught in the ocean.
Also, there is a nice short but challenging track to Fort Barrington with a breathtaking view on the Bay.
- 402karyv (10/5): Private, Peaceful and Picturesque! - My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the Yepton Estate Cottages while we attended a surgical conference in St. John. The conference was held at the Royalton Antigua, an all-inclusive resort located within walking distance of the cottages.
In addition to being far more affordable than lodging at the Royalton, the Yepton Estate Cottages offered privacy and peacefulness that are difficult to find at a large commercial resort. We also received excellent attention and customer service from the owners, Gabriela and Douglas. Whether it was a restaurant recommendation or assistance with taxi service, they were always happy to assist us.
If we decide to return to Antigua, we would definitely return to Yepton Estate Cottages. We enjoyed having a living area, kitchenette, and private porch. One of our favorite parts of the trip was mixing our cocktails in the kitchen and unwinding on our private patio as we overlooked the pool and lagoon. From the picturesque view to the sounds of local wildlife, we truly felt immersed in the natural surroundings.
We are so grateful to Gabriela, Douglas, and the wonderful team of medical professionals from Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre. You all made our first visit to Antigua so special and we are already looking forward to a return visit!
- Uldine (10/5): - The host Gabriela was amazing! Sharon was very helpful and attentive. Highly recommended
- Dawn (10/5): - Excellent value for price as compared to the resorts on the island. Adorable cottages with all the comforts of home right on the water and within walking distance of a secluded beach. Great internet and cable TV.
- Helene (8/5): Great stay and lovely hosts. If you want to get away from everything this is the place to go. So peaceful and no one to - Lovely accommodation, exceptionally clean and quiet. Everything was there that you would need. Overlooked a wonderful lake and wildlife in abundance. The location is okay but not ideal as there is nothing much in the way of grocery shopping nearby.
The mosquitos are horrendous at night so impossible to leave door open after dusk.
- Richard (10/5): - Beautiful setting on a lake next to the sea. Each evening, we were treated to a parade of cruise ships coming and going from St John's harbor. Small wildlife was everywhere, day and night. Our was furnished with everything needed to cook and prepare our meals. easy walk to the local beaches. A great to relax on your Carribean vacation
- MONIKA (10/5): - Yepton Estate was a perfect match for what we needed for our 4-day stay in Antigua. Our cottage was very quiet, clean, with an extremely comfortable bed and a very well equipped kitchen as well as strong Wi-Fi. The property is a bit off the beaten path, so having a car is a necessity if you want to get around. We did have a rental car and explored the island from there. There is a small beach within walking distance although we never found it due to a miscommunication but there are plenty of accessible beaches elsewhere.
There is only one small restaurant within a short drive. For everything else you need to drive into St. John’s. Fortunately the manager had advised us in advance to stop for groceries on the way from the airport. There are plenty of supermarkets on that way. Overall we had a very pleasant visit to Antigua and Yepton Estate.
- Alexandra (8/5): Lovely yellow cottage - Sent 4 emails before arrival and gotno reply.
Decent cottage, comfortable bed, good shower. Sadly no helpful information about getting around, nearest places to eat etc.
Pool small, but lovely after a hot day.
Used bus and taxi to get around.
Be prepared for very noisy tree frogs at night.
- Winifred (8/5): - This was such a lovely and relaxing time. One of the best beaches in Antigua is a short walk away. Gabriela and Douglas are excellent hosts, with a wealth of knowledge of Antigua. If you are looking for quiet, secluded restful vacation, look no further.
- HJF71 (10/5): Perfect Peaceful Getaway - Our stay at Yepton Cottages was thoroughly enjoyable. The place is beautiful, perfectly clean and well kept. It makes for a peaceful alternative to the usual hotels. Gabriela and Douglas are excellent hosts and very accommodating with excellent local knowledge which was a great help. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying here.
Antigua is an incredibly beautiful place, with amazing quiet beaches all around this island.
The only negative comment we have on Antigua is that food and eating out is incredibly expensive and mostly average.
- K6430YUkeng (8/5): Personal, Private, Independent comfortable Stay - Douglas and Gabriella are the perfect experienced and on site hosts. Even as experienced travelers, their direction and advice saved us alot of hassle. The cottages are well equipped and comfortable in a quiet yet convenient setting minutes from St. John, and Deep Bay and Yepton beaches. Douglas is a font of useful information about history and day trips. Gabby knows her restaurants.
- Andy (10/5): Excellent hope to stay again - Gabriela and Douglas We’re great hosts and lots of local info on beaches, restaurants, attractions. Lovely quiet location.
- Jon_and_Karine (10/5): Peaceful seclusion in a home from home - Our third stay at Yepton Estate - 14 days of peaceful seclusion in a cottage hideaway.
Gabby and Douglas welcomed us like long lost friends (our last stay was 10 years ago) taking us to the local supermarket on arrival and arranging car hire with a local company. This gives you complete confidence in local services as Gabby and Douglas are widely known and respected in Antigua.
The cottages are wonderful - a complete home from home. Totally private, they provide a secluded and safe base from which to enjoy the island. Located in a private estate overlooking a tranquil lagoon beyond which you hear the sound of the waves on the local beach. They are ideally located on the western side of Antigua giving easy access to the best beaches on the island. The cottages are spotlessly clean and well equipped enabling us to self cater.
- Robert (9/5): Superb - It was quiet and close to a beach for walking although out of the town proper, mind you there is so many beaches to enjoy
- Jon (10/5): Exceptional - The owners were extremely hospitable, helped us with our luggage, transportation and dinner recommendations. We had a great time!
- Ls (9/5): Superb -
- Zachary (8/5): Very good -
- Christina (10/5): - Yepton is a quiet get-away. It affords ample relaxation. Simple but oh so lovely!
- Leboucher (8/5): good place for rest - very quiet and nice welcome
- Maxine (9/5): Cheery cottages on tranquil seaside lagoon - Cheerful , clean well appointed cottage (all appliances) in a tranquil location
Very comfortable and nicely furnished (sitting & dinig areas, cable & flatscreen TV; veranda with patio furniture and BBQ grill)
Beautiful bathroom
AC with ability to adjust temp No beach front access — short drive but NOT a short walk away
- Peter (10/5): Idyllic: A Slice of Paradise - The group of six cottages is centred around a lagoon just behind Yepton beach. The location is beautiful, peaceful and a wonderful place to wake up to and relax on the veranda while planning your day. The cottage I had the pleasure of staying in was a good size, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The main room had an oh so comfy sofa and chair, dining table and chairs and high quality kitchen area that made you want to cook... almost lol. A full cooker, microwave, a couple of coffee makers, shiny pots and pans, big fridge freezer and most importantly, an electric kettle. The bedroom featured an impressive king-sized bed giving a great night's sleep to the backdrop of chirping crickets. The separate shower room was a good size too. Back in the living room, if you miss home, there's cable TV.
There are at least seven beaches within walking distance. Yepton is closest but Deep Bay is livelier, Galley Bay is a classic Caribbean picture postcard, Hawksbill is more relaxed with another four beaches.
Nearby Five Islands village has a couple of local but tourist friendly cafes serving tasty food. For the adventurous, there's a bus into St John's with a fruit and veg stall next to the bus stop. The fresh bananas were amazing.
Back at Yepton Cottages, hosts Gabby and Douglas, long term Antigua residents, made sure my stay ran smoothly. Attentive but not intrusive, very knowledgeable about the island and good to chat with. What's not to like? The place is perfect
- PATRICK (10/5): - I enjoyed the peaceful setting, the cottage was clean and the bed was comfortable.
I look forward to staying on my next trip to antigua.
- Renique (10/5): - The property is absolutely gorgeous and easy to find. The owners are wonderful. Gabriela went out of her way to provide a late check-in and didnt bat an eyelash. She also assisted us with getting to our next lodging destination since our stay was only for one night as a bridge to an all inclusive resort. She was friendly personable and even provided an upgrade on the cottage. The cottage exceeded our expectations. It was clean, had plenty of room and was everything we needed for the night. We only booked for a one night stay but if we didnt already have other reservations Yepton would have been our top choice. Please dont hesitate on this rental you wont regret it!
- Anthony (10/5): - Very nice property owner. Very quiet. Cottage has it all including a barbecue grill. I certainly will choose here again.
- V2003EIandyb (10/5): Amazing self catering cottages - This was our first holiday for two years and our first time to Antigua. Our stay couldn't have been better! Yepton Estate Cottages are the perfect place to relax and enjoy the island. The cottages are extremely clean, comfortable, and tranquil, with a lovely lake framing the view. Two beaches are within walking distance, ideal for a morning swim! St John's is a short drive and the rest of the island can be easily explored by car or taxi. Gabriela and Douglas are the perfect hosts - they provided a warm welcome with a cold drink and trip to the supermarket when we arrived, and then a brilliant chat about the island and its many interesting places to visit on our first morning. This really helped us to make the most of our time in Antigua. They are both so helpful and make you feel extremely welcome. This is simply one of the very best places to stay in Antigua! Many thanks and best wishes to Gabriela and Douglas for a perfect stay.
- amy (10/5): - Not on the beach but near enough to several beaches and overlooking a peaceful, pelican-busy lagoon, landscaped with native ornamentals, self contained and very safe, this was a great find. Gabby, our innkeeper, gave an insider's shrewd advice on everything from great restos to where to park to see the market, and helped us find a doc for pre-boarding COVID testing, too. Our bungalow, like all of them, had a fully equipped efficiency kitchen, good beds, hot shower, comfy living area, GOOD LIGHTING!, and inside/outside dining tables. A screen for the front cottage door would be helpful, and perhaps some small repairs on window screening. And you WILL, of course, need to rent a car to get around. But this place was really pleasant, great value, quiet, and old school in the best sense. Very highly recommended.
- Dan (10/5): - This property has everything you need to rest and relax for your vacation. It was clean and cute and my Wife and I enjoyed ourselves immensely. Some real nice beaches close by and I cannot recommend high enough.
- dsgmocan (10/5): Charming peaceful cottage - We enjoyed a delightful 5 days in Antigua and the Yepton Estate. Busy during the day working on purchasing a sailboat & some sightseeing, we were so happy to have the cozy accommodations every evening. Our cottage had everything we needed, clean, and comfortable. Gabby and Douglas are gracious hosts and wonderful to spend time with over a glass of wine. They shared everything we needed to know to enjoy our time on the island. If you are looking for a relaxing get away, this is the perfect spot for you. It is away from the city and nightlife, so you can enjoy peaceful time at the pool and on the porch in the ideal weather and setting. Thanks to Gabby and Douglas for a lovely visit.
- robertnB681OO (10/5): Such a Peaceful Retreat - Our first trip to Antigua, and we were thrilled to find the Yepton for our four week stay. The fantastic reviews are all accurate. Douglas and Gabriela are phenomenal hosts and island historians. Cottage #1 was perfect with its view of the estuary pond and endless bird-watching opportunities. The cottage was very well equipped for our stay. We drove to different beaches and sites all over the island every day, and were always happy to arrive home at the Yepton each day. We highly recommend the Yepton to any couples or families looking for a secluded experience on a beautiful island filled with wonderful people.
- Frudle (10/5): Tulip - We are returners - this is the third time since 2013 we have enjoyed staying at Gabriela and Douglas' little piece of heaven. We normally never go back to the same place, apart from Yepton. We stay in cottage number 6, which is very well located in front of lake.
This year we stayed for 3 weeks and really managed to relax after not having traveled "properly" for the last 2 "pandemic" years.
The property is located very close to one of the best beaches in Antigua - Deep Bay. Yepton Beach is nearer, but rougher.
My wife "discovered" a turtle, (Tulip) the critically endangered Hawksbill turtle in the lake, and with the help of Douglas we managed to engage volunteers from EAG, and rescued Tulip from the very unsuitable environment that the lake offers. Tulip was dropped off at Deep Bay beach and swam away. We very much hope she has survived and enjoying swimming in the natural Caribbean sea.
Yepton Estate Cottages is highly recommended.
- ElliottBayTowers (10/5): Secluded Paradise - As a seasoned traveller, the past two years of prohibitive travel restrictions and uncertainty have been challenging. For my first and much needed holiday I wanted to find somewhere which met two conditions: a quiet and self-contained accommodation, and access to uncrowded beaches with tropical waters. At Yepton Estate Cottages, I found this and so much more.
Your hosts Gabriela and Douglas are two of the nicest people I have ever met, and could not do enough for me, whilst simultaneously ensuring I had the privacy and space that I was seeking.
From the moment of my arrival, I was welcomed like family and Gabriela drove me personally to the nearest supermarket to help me stock up on provisions for my first few days.
I was then free to enjoy the nearby beaches (the closest - Yepton Beach, is less than ten minutes on foot), and mostly to just enjoy the tranquility which I was craving after the toll of the Pandemic.
My cottage had everything I could possibly need, and the deck overlooking the salt lake provided hours of watching the Brown Pelicans diving, or simply a space to enjoy the warmth and the breeze with some protection from the sun.
Nothing is too much trouble for your hosts Gabriela and Douglas, or their charming housekeeper Sharon. After catching the rays a little too strongly at the start of my tirp, Gabriela even supplied me with some much needed After-Sun and additional SPF!
I booked this location based on the fantastic reviews and the location. It surpassed my expectations, and was the most perfect escape from the reality of daily life during these strange times. If you like all-inclusive, being waited on, and being surround by other people, this is not for you!
If you value your own slice of paradise, where the whole day is yours to while away at your own pace, with world class beaches just around the corner, then Gabriela and Douglas will take care of the rest for you!
Thank you Gabi and Douglas and Sharon... I miss Yepton already.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Yepton Estate Cottages was an extremely pleasant experience. We were there for a week in April 2021 and had a wonderful time. We are divers and the location was central enough to get to all the dive shops. BTW the diving was fabulous. Best to rent a car and be sure you communicated with Gabriela so she can give you the best directions to get to the Cottages.
Gabriela and Doug were the best hosts as they are very knowledgeable about the area and pretty good historians about Antigua as well.
The cottages were clean and comfortable and the whole experience was relaxing. A great place to relax and unwind and you will love a holiday stay at the Yepton Cottages.
- Charles (10/5): - Doug and Gabriela could not have gone more out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable in every way. Perfect hosts!
- gsvcc (10/5): Three years and counting...we love Yepton - We go to Antigua and to spend a week with Gabbie and Douglas at Yepton Estates Cottages every February. This year, Gabbie arranged for a rental car for us to seamlessly pick-up (and drop-off) at the airport upon our arrival. We love exploring this beautiful island paradise from our Yepton Cottages base. We will return, forever. Can't wait until our next trip.
- Alex (10/5): - Very peaceful location. Two beaches within easy walking distance. Well equipped for self-catering. However the best thing is the hosts, Gabrielle and Doug. They couldn't have been more helpful.
- Mark (10/5): - 🙂 secluded , quiet and close to a deserted beach but only 10 minutes to St John the capital. Delightful and very helpful owners Gaby and Douglas
🙁that we didnt stay longer than 4 nights
- 373dougs (10/5): Superb location and excellent accomodation - We are just back from our second holiday in a Yepton cottage. Its very unusual to return to the same location twice and this is testament to the quality of what is on offer here. The hosts couldn't be more helpful, the scenery from your front porch is delightful (watch the massive cruise boats glide into St Johns on a morning and glide back out again each evening and feel sorry for the passengers!) and the accomodation contains everything you might need. For travel around the hosts happily arrange taxi's or a hire car (the one drawback is the absence of local bars / restaurants but you are less than 10 mins from St Johns). Highly recommended.
- 4kareemf (10/5): Lovely, quiet, secluded getaway - My wife and I spent a quiet, relaxing week in one of the larger cottages at Yepton. If you're looking for a serene, secluded getaway — away from all the crowds and hassle of the all-inclusives — then Yepton is a wonderful choice. The cottages are spacious and clean, with everything you need for a self-catered holiday. It looks out over a quiet lagoon, and the secluded Yepton Beach (which we usually had to ourselves) is a 5-minute walk away. Multiple other beaches are within a short drive, and Jolly Harbor is 20 minutes away. Our host Gabriela was supremely helpful and gracious. If you love the Caribbean, but don't love the mega-resorts, then Yepton is a lovely choice.
- 7wonderstraveler (10/5): Peaceful, cozy, and my favorite beach within walking distance! - We arrived by taxi and Gabriela came out to meet me and my husband. She had everything ready for us and gave us a tour of our lovely cottage overlooking the lake. The grounds are beautiful and the cottage has a well equipped kitchen, a large bathroom,a bedroom, a sitting area with a tv and dvd, and a covered porch. This is a secluded place with no restaurants within walking distance so be prepared with groceries or have a vehicle. Thank goodness Gabriela was so kind to bring us to the supermarket that has everything. We stocked up on great eats and we were living in style! My favorite part of this location is that it is by two beaches: Deep Bay Beach and Yepton Beach. Deep Bay is my favorite with a calm sea and white sand. Yepton is very wild with no people. Also, Fort Barrington overlooks Deep Bay and the views are indescribable. Thank you Gabriela for a lovely stay and we will definitely be seeing you again.
- Heather (10/5): - We loved the privacy, the 2 beaches within walking distance, Fort Barrington, relaxing on our porch, and Gabriela, the owner who was so kind and made sure all of our needs were met. Thank you for a memorable stay and your friendship.
- 772megf (10/5): Honeymoon in Paradise! - My husband and I spent the second half of our honeymoon at Yepton Cottages and we are so happy we did! It was truly magical.
Gabriela and Doug were so helpful and warm, taking us on a tour of the area and to the supermarket to stock up and even providing some leftover shaving cream when we ran out!
We stayed in a one bedroom cottage overlooking a small pond and it was romantic, clean, and spacious. There is a pool onsite that we spent some time in and it is a quick walk to a stunning beach.
We cooked in all four nights we stayed, using both the grill on the deck and the well-stocked kitchen inside. Every morning we were visited at breakfast by Fred, a lesser antillian finch.
We are planning to go back for some more diving and look forward to staying at the cottages again!
Thank you for a wonderful time.
~ Meg and Collin
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very tranquil location overlooking a lake. Cottage was spacious and homely containing everything needed and more. The owners went above and beyond to welcome us and to ensure our holiday was the perfect location to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Definitely the place to come and relax, we will be back.
- veroniqued418 (10/5): Peaceful and relaxing vacation (even with baby!) - My partner and I have been twice before to Yepton Estate Cottages and we were just as charmed this time as we were in the past by the amenities, the scenery and the hospitality of Gabriela and Douglas. This year we brought our 10 month old daughter and we were pleased to see that the cottages were again such a perfect fit. Her playpen fit in our room, the cottages are very well equipped for preparing all types of meals which meant we could easily prepare her food and did not have to go out to restaurants where she may have become impatient or where you can't always control the quality of the food. The proximity of the pool meant we could enjoy ourselves outside while she napped as the monitor was always within range. All in all it was a wonderfully peaceful and relaxing vacation (even with a baby!).
- margiz2014 (10/5): Relaxing at Yepton - We stayed for several weeks at the Yepton Estate Cottages. Gabriela and Douglas could not have been more gracious, thoughtful hosts of this delightfully serene setting of six cottages on a small quiet pond near Yepton Beach. It was wonderful to sit on the shaded porch at any time of day and hear the sound of waves on the beach, watch cruise ships go by and enjoy the variety of wildlife about the environment. The cottage itself was well maintained, set up for any cooking needs (with grill) and had AC and great TV. Its location was also about a twenty minute walk from Fort Barrington and Deep Bay which was great exercise and a wonderful place to spend on a quiet white sand beach. The ever present trade winds made this a fantastic location to enjoy morning coffee and evening drinks by the pool. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Antigua and at Yepton Estate Cottages!
- doctorjane (10/5): Blissfully quiet cottage with outstandingly friendly hosts - It was lovely to be in such a well equipped cottage in a blissfully quiet corner of Antigua. Gabriela took us to the Epicurian supermarket on our arrival which was immensely helpful to stock up for our stay - great guided tour and advice about what to buy. Her equally lovely husband Doug dropped in after breakfast the following morning to tell us about the island and give us useful tips about what to see and do, the best beaches and where to eat. We really appreciated their lovely welcoming touches - car hire (brilliant advice to rent a 4x4 to tackle the potholes!), sat nav, phone and welcoming bottle of wine. Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday!
- gnrgaunt (10/5): Restful, relaxing, comfortable with warm welcoming hosts. - The "Title" says it all! Gabriela and Douglas went out of their way to help us settle in for a memorable 16 day stay. Gabriela provided us with a guided tour to a modern very well stocked grocery store. We found this invaluable! Douglas shared his thirty plus years on Antigua in a personalized travelogue on our cottage porch, pointing out on the map the best beaches, restaurants and marinas. His stories added so much to our desire to to see it all! We have talked about coming back and bring our whole family with us! Gabriela and Douglas were the best hosts.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful location overlooking a salt ponds. The hosts were exceptionally helpful sources of information about Antigua. The cottages are comfortable and well-equipped.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - great quite location easy access to 2 beaches which were walking distance
- Verified traveler (8/5): - These cottages are around a quiet lagoon. It is very relaxing and quiet. A short walk takes you to 2 quiet beaches which provide safe swimming but no beach bar etc. Gaby and Doug are welcoming and take you food shopping on the first day if needed and are a fountain of knowledge re places to visit and eat. A great start to our Antiguan holiday
- debbieSouthampton (8/5): Total relaxation - We spent 6 nights at Yepton cottages and felt really relaxed when we moved on. We were greeted by Gaby who showed us our self contained cottage, which was well equipped and clean before taking us off to go food shopping so that we did not have to worry about car hire on our day of arrival. We got from the airport to Yepton by taxi which was $20 US We spent a very comfortable night before Doug spoke to us the next morning advising us of all sorts of places to visit and eat. You definitely need a car if you are staying here, unless you are happy just chillin. Gaby and Doug certainly make you feel welcome , thoroughly enjoyed our stay here
- ceci1950 (10/5): We just love this place - If large hotels and all inclusive isn’t your thing and doing your own thing in a small and beautiful location is then this place is for you. I own up to six visits to date and every one has been great. Gabie and Douglas are terrific hosts, helpful and friendly without ever overstepping the line you set. The location is quiet and peaceful overlooking a lagoon, two lovely beaches within minutes of walking. The cottages are comfortable and well equipped with bbq on the deck which we used most days. Not doubt that we will visit again, love it.
- Jim (10/5): - A quite corner in Antigua for the ultimate relaxation holiday, away from the maddening crowds yet close to everything you need to spend a perfect time in front of the Caribbean.
- Charlie (10/5): - My wife and I both loved this place. It was in immaculate condition, ready for two tired travelers. The owners went out of their way to give us directions to the place, told us about a dinner venue, then took us to their favorite place. Welcome wine at check-in, offered a local cell phone and gps for our needs. Gave us a rundown on the local conditions. We'd come again and unreservedly recommend to others!
- Andrew (10/5): Great self-catering bacation - It’s a common theme in reviews of the cottages, but Gabriella & Douglas truly are wonderful hosts. Whether you have been to the island before or not, they will have as much information as you could wish for to make the most of your stay.
The cottages (No. 1 in our case) are kitted out with *everything* needed for a self catering vacation. Whichever cottage you select, you will also be adopted by Finches who will expect to share breakfast.
The location was perfect for us, a secluded spot only minutes from St Johns. The view over the lagoon at dawn and dusk watching the cruise ships slide past is pretty special.
The lagoon brings egrets/herons of various shapes and colours, ducks, moorhens, pelicans (“pelican... splash!” became a catchphrase of our recent stay), and mongooses. (Moorhens do not appreciate a proximate mongoose and will ‘growl’ at one.)
Bring the most effective insect repellent that works for you. The seawater and occasional tropical rain = biting critters. You will be bitten.
(It was my turn this year.)
You’ll need to hire a car. Antigua is a cash-poor nation, trying its best, and the roads reflect this. Drive slow, eyes open, you’ll be fine. Renting from a big name firm may not mean ... previously we rented from a global name and the car was not what we’d expect in Europe or the US. This year we rented from a local firm and the service and car were excellent.
Tune the radio to 94.9fm, kick back and relax.
- Jeremy (10/5): Delightful cottages in a peaceful setting. - Delightful cottages in a peaceful setting. Gabriela and Douglas could not have been more helpful, the perfect hosts. The attractive cottages are comfortable and well equipped. Fully recommended.
- Carolyn (10/5): Amazing! - My husband and I went to Antigua last week and stayed at Yepton Estates. We were greeted warmly by Gabriella and Douglas, the owners who quickly got us settled in our cottage. Gabriella then took us to a grocery store so we could stock up for our stay. I found the groceries extremely expensive because everything is imported. Nevertheless, we were on holiday and so we splurged. The cottage itself was very well appointed and lovely and comfortable. The beach is only a short walk away and we were the only people on it. There is another beach, Deep Bay, about a 20 minute walk away and it was gorgeous too. I would have liked more time here but there are many beaches to explore. Gabriella arranged a car for part of our stay and Douglas graciously spent a good long time teaching us about the history of Antigua and also good directions to places we wanted to visit. After very busy days, we were always happy to get back to the cottage and relax with a glass or two of wine. The bedroom was well air conditioned so we had no trouble sleeping. When we needed a ride, our hosts suggested we use Spencer as our cab driver. What a great suggestion! When my husband left his phone in Spencer’s cab, he drove out to the cottage the next day just to return it! We had a wonderful vacation and we plan to return next year. Thank you Gabriella and Douglas. You are fantastic hosts and Rob and I really appreciate your kindness and hospitality. See you next year!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great location yet a private retreat - Loved the personal service offered by Douglas and Gaby. Antigua is much easier to navigate when you have a local who can arrange things and direct you as to how to find them! The cottage had everything we needed and was incredibly comfortable.
- jeremy (8/5): Escape Winter and Discover Antigua - If you seek a warm place to relax, rest, read and meet friendly island people, Yepton Estate Cottages is a good choice. It is low key and quiet and restful. The owners are delightful and care.
Oh, and when you arrive expect a warm welcome.
Jeremy & Mary Lord
- alan (10/5): Great location, great owners. SUPERB! - Superb holiday, great quiet location with lovely beaches nearby. Gabriela and Doug were fantastic hosts and provided great advice on routes, roads and locations to visit. Really enjoyed sharing breakfast with the local finches ! An ideal chilled start to our holiday
- Vivien (10/5): Yepton, 5 star excellence. - We have just returned from a 3 week stay in Antigua with the last 8 days at Yepton Estate Cottages. We were expecting something special, having read the reviews, and we weren't disappointed. The cottage was fantastic, overlooking the lake so that we had spectacular views of the bird life, including swooping displays by the many frigate birds that visited every day. The cottage was superbly appointed with a super comfy and extra large bed, well equipped kitchen and a great deck with a gas barbecue which we used every night. There were so many little details and extra touches, such as original paintings, fresh flowers and a mobile phone with credit, which set Yepton apart from other accommodation. Gabriela and Douglas were the perfect hosts, welcoming, helpful, informative and friendly, but never intrusive. For various reasons we didn't hire a car, but this wasn't a problem for us, as Gabriela took us to the supermarket after we arrived, and then kindly topped us up with a few extra provisions during the week. We strolled every day to Deep Bay, (about 20 minutes gentle walk) and frequently had the beach almost to ourselves. It was wonderful, with white, powdery sand and calm, safe swimming. The location is ideal for independent-minded people who want to relax and enjoy the tranquillity of this unique environment. If we ever return to Antigua, this is where we will stay.
- Adrian (10/5): Alternative to the high priced all-inclusive. - This is basic self catering cottages in a friendly environment hosted by Owners who care and are very helpful. The place is clean and comfortable with basic furniture, but everything you need. The pool is tiny and its a 10 minute walk to the beach, but you can see and hear the ocean looking across the onsite lake. The location is good, a 5 minute drive from town. You need a car here and the best south west beaches are perhaps a 15 minute drive. I recommend for those who want good value and a bit off peace and quite.
- Helen (10/5): Perfection! - We rented two separate cottages for a family holiday. Our first impression was genuine hospitality and kindness from Gabriela and Douglas, who can't do enough to make your stay a happy one.
The chirping tree frogs, cheeky finches, emerald peanut eating lizard , humming birds and diving Pelicans who befriend the cottage make this a unique location with beautiful beaches a short walk away. Deep bay is gorgeous.
A car is a must to explore the island fully and the supermarket is the other side of St.Johns so unless you can survive on Gabriela's initial guided excursion to the well stocked Epicurean store you will go hungry as there are no nearby restaurants.
The interior of the cottages is comfy, well appointed, spotlessly clean but the bed...... Wow.. A 5* hotel could not be better, massive and sumptuous .
We went to play with the stingrays which we highly recommend . Also a trip to Barbuda on the ferry which is an experience, the frigate birds and beaches are well worth the trip.
We are sailors so obviously visited English and Falmouth harbours. During our two week stay we visited nearly everywhere but we loved coming home to the tranquility of our cottage.
A rare find, for us much better than an impersonal all inclusive resort.
- Sonia (10/5): Idyllic retreat - We had a wonderful break at Yepton Cottages. A tranquil hideaway of simple cottages in a garden. We had the largest cottage with a gigantic bed in a separate bedroom with aircon, a bathroom, lounge and dining area and small but effective kitchen. The veranda was our favourite spot for long lazy breakfasts watching the birds on the salt lake, afternoon lazing in the hammock, or long barbecue dinners. The beach is a short stroll away, and usually almost deserted - with dozens of others around the island to explore too. Gaby and Douglas were extremely helpful, taking us to the supermarket on the first day to stock up, providing excellent sightseeing information, arranging restaurant and taxi bookings and striking the balance between friendliness and giving us peace and quiet alone. I would recommend Yepton Cottages to anyone looking for comfortable, quiet, self-catering in Antigua.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Cottage life in Antigua - Our hosts were the highlight of our stay. Douglas and Gabriella are very committed to their guests having a wonderful experience. As for the cottage; the view from the deck was lovely; the bed linens were high quality, fresh and the bed very comfortable; having a well equipped kitchen was terrific and being able to BBQ fresh fish or chicken from the market was an option we enjoyed as an alternative to dining out every night. We spent most evenings on the deck, sipping on wine enjoying the sounds of the lagoon and nature.
Cottage life does come along with a few critters when staying on the ground level near bush and water. Again our hosts were very responsive and took care of any issues immediately.
- Anna and Jo (10/5): Amazing hosts and gorgeous little cottages - My sister and I went to Antigua for 8 days in February and stayed in one of Gabie and Douglas' beautiful cottages. Upon arrival we were greeted with a cold beer and helpful introduction before they took us to the supermarket so we could buy supplies for the week.
We decided not to hire a car so they took us through the map of the area in detail, explained the bus routes to us and booked our excursions. They were always available to help and were so kind and keen to make sure we were having a good time and had everything we needed. They have great knowledge of the island and gave us brilliant advice and recommendations, as well as information about the history and culture of the island (thanks Douglas!).
The cottage was very well equipped, clean, comfy and with a lovely terrace and bbq, which we enjoyed every evening. The whole environment at Yepton is extremely relaxing and, with the wonderful hosts, makes it a perfect holiday destination.
We could recommend this highly enough!
- Big Red (10/5): The beach - Private secluded beach its just amazing!! No one around at all. It was just the 2 of us all day. Plus has a lot of cool stuff to explore.
- Louisa (10/5): Personal service and well appointed accomodation - Our hosts were professional, helpful and welcoming. We really appreciated their input as we were travelling with two small children.
The chalet was excellent - beautiful view over the lagoon - it felt like a retreat. It was a self catering set up and the kitchen equipment was extensive and useful - shows that the owners really have taken a lot of thought over details.
The local beach was a 5 minute walk and we went there on several occasions.
- Fred & Robin (10/5): Wonderful! - I completely agree with the other reviewers who have praised hosts/owners Gabriella and Doug: they are the best! Rather than repeating, I'll try to add points that I don't see covered elsewhere.
The cottages are simple, functional, and well-designed. The kitchen was remarkably well equipped and cooking in it was a pleasure. We are not chefs, but preparing meals was enjoyable thanks to the organized and complete kitchen. The veranda was a perfect spot for breakfast and dinner.
Massive cruise ships passed by on their way to port in the morning and again when they left in the evening. Their schedule is posted online and you could almost set your watch to the cruise ship crossings, which were impressive. Some nights we did need to use a bit of insect repellent to stay on the porch after dusk.
We booked a circumnavigation of the island and were picked up and dropped off on the beach near the cottage. The catamaran came straight to the shoreline and dropped stairs so that we could board.
On the first day we walked 40-minutes to Eden Beach--Antigua's only clothing optional beach--getting there via the service road behind the Hawksbill Resort. We had the pristine 1/2 mile beach entirely to ourselves most days.
We decided to rent a car which made getting to the beach, and everything else, much easier. Driving on the left took a couple of hours to get used to, but having a car was definitely the right choice.
We had a perfect 10-day vacation at Yepton!
- Neil S (10/5): - Tucked away in the Five Islands area of Antigua west of St John's. This delightful little group of cottages is situated on a lagoon just beyond the sea. the local beach is a six minute walk and very secluded. The gardens around the cottages are well kept and good for the local wildlife (birds, butterflies, lizards). The cottages are very well fitted out with all creature comforts (comfy bed and sofa) and plenty of cooking utensils (pots, pans, crockery etc). Lovely balcony with hammock and table and chairs where one can sit and relax. Nice small swimming pool surrounded by sun loungers just right for cooling off in. Gabriela and Douglas are excellent hosts, helpful and very knowledgeable. On arrival we were welcomed with a cold drink and shown around our cottage. Then Gabriela took us to the nearest large supermarket to buy provisions for our stay. Next day Douglas sat down with us and showed us all the places of interest on the island map (including for us where to do some bird-watching). They arranged our car hire and the rep came to our cottage to do the paperwork. We really couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay.
- john (10/5): - I rented two cottages for my wife and I, as well as our two adult children. We enjoyed the property with the multitude of birds and water fowl. Doug informed us of the best beaches and places to visit on the island, and Gabriella was very helpful and hospitable with all of our personal needs. She even gave my wife some after sun lotion to use after a full day at the beach. The kitchen and barbecue enabled us to prepare some meals right at our cottages. If you prefer to stay away from the all inclusive hotels, you will be very pleased at Yepton Estate Cottages.
- Eve (10/5): Wonderful little cottage in quiet part of St. John - We enjoyed our 6-night stay at the Yepton Cottages. Gabriella and Douglas are terrific hosts. We were in Antigua in the offseason, which meant many stores/restaurants were closed but also meant the beaches were pleasantly deserted!! We felt we had some beaches all to ourselves. We snorkeled every day and visited St John only once, which was plenty. We were there for the beach. It was wonderful to have a full kitchen as we cooked breakfast and dinner every day in the cottage, which saved a lot of money.
- Stephen (10/5): A beautiful place and a richly rewarding holiday - Trust the very positive reviews. A welcoming phone call from Gabriela after we had booked assured us that we were in good hands. She and Douglas are delightful hosts, well-informed about the island and the people – whom we found good-natured and always helpful. On arrival we were presented with a complimentary bottle of wine, and taken to a well-stocked supermarket. Douglas, with map, directed us to good beaches and the many places to visit, including historic sites, beach bars and restaurants. A car is needed to explore, as well as to shop, but Yepton is well-placed, in a quiet area on the north-west coast, yet close to St John’s from which all roads across the island lead. It was also deeply rewarding just to be on the Yepton estate. Six comfortable cottages, with air-conditioned bedrooms, are well-equipped for self-catering and spaciously and attractively set out on the estate, adjacent to a small but welcome pool. Our cottage combined a spacious living room and kitchen. Always we ate outside on the veranda, attracting beautiful small birds and gorgeous green lizards to our table. It was enriching just to sit, relax, and take in the view. A few metres from the cottages across the lawn lies a lagoon, surrounded by shrubs, endlessly fascinating. The water is alive with brown pelicans, egrets, herons, terns and much else, with frigate birds overhead – and in the twilight small bats flit past. A ten-minute walk leads to a white-sand, blue-sea beach.
- HbgTravelGirl (10/5): Quaint Antiguan Cottages - Nice, peaceful stay. Beautiful beach within 5 minute walk---pleasant pond on the property with a variety of bird visitors. Wonderful hosts (owners), who reside on the property. They took us to a supermarket our first day and had great recommendations for restaurants. Although the location was off the beaten track, you could participate in day excursions or get your own car and explore the island. There are a ton of beautiful beaches to explore. A real Antiguan experience!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Fantastic Honeymoon in Paadise!! - From the very moment we arrived Gabriela and Douglas made us both feel at home. Arranging car hire and giving advice on places to visit and eat etc their personal touch just added to our experience. Forget about all inclusive deals, this is the perfect place to relax and unwind in a truely romantic location.
- Deb (8/5): Lovely setting and very quiet - The villas are lovely but did get very hot particularly at night. The owners Gabriel and Douglas are very helpful with ideas of where to visit.
- Rainer (10/5): Great hospitality and fun place to stay - We spent a week on Antigua and very much enjoyed our stay at Yepton Estate Cottages. We can definitely recommend it, unless you're looking for a big resort experience with beach bars etc. Douglas and Gabi were excellent hosts and always available for help, starting with a grocery shopping trip on the day of arrival and an in-depth explanation of the island's attractions, all the way to help with reservations for rental cars and boat cruises. The kitchen was exquisitely equipped, which came in handy because we used the grill on the porch quite a bit. Cottage included sitting area with a comfortable couch, TV, stereo, a separate bedroom with AC, a breakfast area, wifi, patio chairs and cable, and a hammock. No problems at all with the solar driven water heating system, we had hot water at any time of the day. Obviously, this is not a five star hotel but the cottages are all well kept up. There is a small pool on the grounds, not big enough to swim in. Be aware that the cottages are not on the beach but overlook a large saltwater pond, which is a big attraction for many different kinds of birds. If you want to go to the beach, it's an easy, less than five minute walk to the adjacent Coconut Beach resort. Plus, you can walk for 15 minutes or drive down quickly to Deep Bay beach next door, which turned out to be one of the nicest beaches we saw. The prevalent winds can be strong. Made it a bit harder to use the grill, but hey, they keep the mosquitoes away!
- Michael (10/5): Cannot fault this place - just fantastic - Amazing! The cottage was in a beautiful setting. The lake and pool views were just stunning and hearing the ocean day a night was very relaxing. The cottage owners are amongst the most friendly people I have ever met and made our stay in Antigua fantastic. They welcomed us with a drink, took us to the shops to buy food for our cottage and told us all the places to visit on the island as well as having excellent restaurant recommendations. I was devastated when our stay came to an end. I will return one day.
- Tobias (10/5): Caribbean Cottages - For Canadians and Americans accustomed to renting a summer cottage by the lake, Yepton Estates will be very familiar and comforting. The owners (and hosts), Doug and Gabby, have created a cosy oasis away from the tourist crowds, where you can hang out on your cottage deck and watch the multitude of birds that make the adjacent lagoon home. You also get a front-row view of the massive cruise ships - Doug calls them "accomodation barges" - as they silently glide past on their way to St. John's harbour.
As others have noted, the cottages are clean and comfortable with fully equipped kitchens. We ate all our breakfasts "at home", and brought home dinner several times. On arrival, Gabby will take you to the 'Epicurean' supermarket, where there is a full selection of British and American goods (including prepared meals), at prices that are 20-30 percent above what you pay at home.
This is NOT a beach resort but Yepton Beach is only a three minute walk away, while the spectacular (and empty) Deep Bay Beach is a 10-minute walk. However, there is not much else to see in the immediate vicinity, so you will need to rent a car for a few days at least to check out some of the island's other beaches, historical sights, and fine restaurants. We liked Ffryes Beach because it attracts local Antiguan families for picnics. You might even be asked to join a game of "beach cricket"! And on the Atlantic side, Half Moon Bay is the epitome of a tropical ocean beach.
- Lynda (10/5): Excellent experience! - My husband and I were guests at Yepton Estate Cottages in February and LOVED our time in Antigua, mostly because of the kindness of Gabbie and Douglas. We got lost getting to the cottages on our first day, but once we found it they greeted us as if their own family had been lost. The hospitality they offered cannot be compared with that of any hotel or resort we have ever stayed. Their knowledge of the island and suggestions of great places to eat and visit allowed us to make the best use of our short time on the island. The accommodations were perfect and we had everything we needed. We highly recommend Yepton Estate Cottages to all visiting Antigua.
- Linda (10/5): Fantastic!!!!! Secluded, peaceful and lovely. - We were expertly helped by the owners who constantly gave us excellent pointers. The island is amazing and we will be back!
- Lesley (8/5): A perfect peaceful location with kind hosts. - We had a lovely stay. The island's beaches are fabulous, the scenery wonderful and the Luerys did all they possibly could to make us welcome.
- David (10/5): - We stayed at Yepton Estate Cottages for part of our honeymoon and we loved it here. Our hosts were really helpful - they took us to the supermarket on the first day to stock up on food, showed us around St Johns, arranged a hire car and gave lots of advice for places to visit. The setting around the cottages and the lagoon is beautiful and teeming with wildlife. The cottages were comfortable and well-equipped. There are gas BBQ's outside on the veranda.
The area is very quiet and relaxing. It is possible to eat in the local hotel restaurant if you don't want to cook and there are two good beaches in walking distance. A hire car is recommended for getting around however.
We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come here again.
- Timothy (10/5): Best Hosts on the Island - The cottage was in excellent condition, nicely furnished and thoughtfully complete to meet your needs. The view of the lagoon from the cottage porch was like a scene from a TV commercial. Very peaceful and we spent hours on the porch just relaxing. A very nice ocean beach was only a 6 or 7 minute walk away. The most pleasant surprise was our hosts Gabriella and Douglas. Very gracious and helpful! They took us to the grocery store, arranged a rental car, recovered lost items from the taxi company and spent over three hours explaining the best places to dine, the nicest beaches on the island and the best places to see including maps and detailed directions. Great people who we hope to see again!
- Ayesha (10/5): Beautiful location - We were greeted by Gabriela and Douglas when we arrived and made to feel at home straight away. After checking in Gabriela took us to the supermarket to get provisions and helped us to find what we wanted.Throughout our stay they both made sure we had everything we needed and more. The cottage was nicely furnished and well equipped with everything you need. It was cleaned and towels replenished every 3 or 4 days. The location is beautiful, set next to a salt water lagoon with Pelicans, Herons and other water birds. Other little birds come to the veranda to be fed each day and are very tame. The nearest beach is a 5 minute walk away. I cannot fault this lovely place and Gabriela and Douglas are fabulous hosts from start to finish.
- Robert (10/5): A beautiful location overlooking a nature reserve - We wanted to avoid all inclusive hotel accommodation and the superior cottage at Yepton Estate was an excellent choice. We stayed for two weeks and were impressed with the assistance given by the owners Gabriela and Douglas. On arrival they offered us cool drinks and a bottle of wine and accompanied us on an informative shopping trip. They were helpful and enthusiastic hosts and Douglas gave us a detailed briefing on the sites and beaches that we could visit when our rental car was delivered. We took advantage of using the car hire company recommended and arranged for us by Gabriela. We also visited places to eat which they favoured.
The free use of a mobile phone with contact numbers, if we had any problems, was a helpful gesture.
Douglas has a special interest in the railways used in the former sugar cane industry and it was a privilege to view the restoration activity which he has been promoting. It will be interesting to read his planned book on this aspect of Antiguan history. On the history of the Island it was also good to see Nelsons Dockyard at English Harbour and the forts and defences established around the Island as part of the British defence of the Caribbean. We had an enjoyable experience and will retain happy memories of a very comfortable stay at Yepton Estate and a bonus of enjoying a wide range of bird life in the lagoon.
- Ed and Sue (10/5): Awesome cottages for the independent travelers!!! - We stayed in the cottages for one week. It was very comfortable and came with everything you need. They even included an umbrella in case of rain! The hosts took us to the grocery store our first night and also went over a map of the island with us when our rental car came.
The location is close to town, but also secluded and away from the crowds of the big resorts. It is set off of a small lake and just a short walk to the beach.
Gabby and Douglas were the best hosts we could have asked for. They were very knowledgable about the island and all of the best sites and experiences. They really took care to make sure we had nothing to worry about.
- Nick (10/5): Wonderful place to stay - If you are seeking more from Antigua than an all-inclusive package resort then this is the place to stay. We have stayed in so many places around the world but never met hosts as enthusiastic and helpful as Gabriela and Douglas and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. They will personally make sure that you get what you want out of the trip by advising and helping you with everything such as restaurants and when and where to go to get the best out of each attraction or site. When we first arrived Gabriela took as to the big supermarket in town and explained how to drive around St John's. Douglas then gave us really detailed and useful information on driving around the island. We were then provided with a mobile phone free of charge so that we can call them up if we have any questions or problems.
Douglas is extremely knowledgeable about the fascinating history of the island and in particular is the expert on Antigua's former railway system.
As a further bonus, Yepton Estate itself is a beautiful place to stay and we enjoyed just sitting on the porch watching various birds in the morning while eating breakfast and just generally relaxing.
- Margaret (10/5): Beautiful, quiet retreat on Antigua - We loved every minute of our stay at Yepton Estates. Gabriella and Doug do everything possible to welcome you and make you feel at home. It's peaceful and idyllic, and the cottages are comfortable and perfectly equipped. We would definitely go again! Staying at Yepton Estates allowed us to benefit from Gabriella and Doug's expertise about where to eat, what sites to see, etc., and that made the whole trip a success.
- Wayne C. (10/5): Yepton Estates Cottages Is A 5 Star Gem! - If you are planning a trip to Antigua this is the place to stay. Over the top service from the staff, comfort, quite, and beauty all rolled into one neat package. Your home on Antigua!
- Verified traveler (10/5): We would go back tomorrow! - Fantastic place, fantastic hosts and an all round fantastic holiday experience, definitely to be recommended!! The glowing reviews attracted us to this place and we were sooo pleased when they all turned out to be well founded. Gabriella and Doug's friendly and relaxed but at the same time very efficient help in organising our trip was invaluable and definitely helped us get the best out of our holiday! I've already been recommending this place to all my friends!
- Heather (10/5): Yepton estates, the perfect place in Antigua - From the moment we contacted Gabrielle and Douglas of Yepton Estates we felt completely at ease. They take care of every detail of your stay in Antigua, offering as much advice or privacy that you request. It is the perfect getaway for a couple or a few friends. We were grateful for the peace, privacy, and well equipped cottage. While a self catered cottage is not for everyone (it wouldn't have worked if our 4 kids had been with us) we found everything we needed. I can't say enough about this place, but many thanks to Gaby and Douglas for giving us a vacation to love.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Best vacation - We had a great 7 days stay at the Yepton cottage. It is the perfect place to be whenever with your loved ones. Thank you for everything Gabriella!!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing holiday - We had a great holiday. It was a very relaxing, peaceful and an interesting location. Close to two beaches. The owners were very helpful and approachable, they arranged car hire, activities and gave good advice on what to do and see. We would definitely go back. The cottages were fully equipped with everything we needed.
- Peter & Debbie (10/5): Fantastic all round holiday - Fabulous. Beautiful location, everything you need for self catering in lovely cottage on pretty, unspoilt nature reserve near to gorgeous beaches. First class very friendly personal service from proprietors. Car or taxi was needed for getting around island, eating out and shopping although proprietors took us to well stocked supermarket and offered to pick up groceries and lovely meals out at neighbour hotel. Hospitality and comfort exceeded expectations.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Our Favourite Place - Just Back from Yepton for the Third Time.
It just gets better
Our Favourite place.
