judy (10/5): Felt like a spacious, luxury apartment - right in the center of town - In addition to being the perfect location - in the Oltrarno near the Ponte Vecchio but on a quiet street - no noise- it is like being at a well appointed apartment. The staff could not be more thoughtful and caring. Adriano went above and beyond - storage luggage (even after I had left the hotel), calling taxis, offering coffee etc. The bed, pillows and linens are top quality, which means a lot to me as a frequent traveler (I’ll admit I’m a snob!). I appreciated other little things like the makeup mirror, big soaking tub, and separate sitting room. The last few times I’ve been to Florence (I go for about 2 weeks) I’ve rented Airbnb’s but a few days at this hotel changed my mind - I will be staying at Ponte Vecchio Suites. Beyond satisfied. No complaints. A great experience start to finish.

The breakfast was divine, and the location was perfect, right in the heart of the historic centre. The hotel felt wonderfully cosy while still being luxurious. Even though it’s a small hotel, we couldn’t have been happier with our stay.

DennyCraneEsq (10/5): A Great Stay and a Great Location. - The Ponte Vecchio Suites & Spa room is spacious and nice. There is a very solid barn door between the living room and the large bedroom, so I was able to get up and work while my wife slept in. The Ponte Vecchio has a terrific breakfast buffet, with meats, smoked salmon, scrambled eggs and hard boiled, pancakes, and an assortment of pastries. Where else other than Italy can you have chocolate cake for breakfast? The bed was firm and comfortable. There is a lot of closet and storage space, and a little room in the mini bar for storing a small bottle. The Uffizi Museum is a 6 minute walk, and the route takes you across the Ponte Vecchio! There are many sights to see in the adjacent neighborhood or across the bridge. Don’t miss out on walking through Via Guicciardini (not the same as the “Via De’ Guicciardini” mentioned below) a pass through shopping mall on Barbadori that leads to a street with very nice stores and a lot of pedestrians. There are restaurants and stores in Via Guicciardini, and restaurants, gelato, leather goods, a mini-mart, electronic accessories, and a bookstore within a short walking distance. This is a very nice part of town, but the streets are narrow and sidewalks are busy, even in the early evening. Our suite had a large flat screen in the living room and another in the bedroom. There are separate smart thermostats, but we did not figure out how to work them. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. When they saw me arrive and park on the curb, a desk clerk ran out to expedite unloading the luggage. There were a couple of rough spots. You cannot legally drive to this hotel! The street leading here from the southwest, Via de’ Guicciardini is posted closed to vehicular traffic. But taxis, delivery vehicles, and people with permits can drive it. We were forced by circumstances to drive it in a rental car one time, making the left turn onto Via de’ Barbadori, and then a right turn on Via De’ Velfredelli. I parked on the curb, dropped off our luggage, and then returned the rental car, which was another nightmare. We are waiting to see whether we will be mailed a traffic ticket. The faucets have H & C in English, which is nice. But it is hard to turn the fancy knobs, especially when hands are wet. That, and the need to climb into a deep tub to use the shower may make the room challenging for older people. I’m 76, but I am a cyclist and have good leg strength and balance. There are no grab bars. And be careful when using the hand sprayer to have the spray directed back into the tub, or the floors will get very wet. Also, the valves are not pressure-balances as required in the U.S., so temperature changes occur often and quickly. All in all, we had a great stay at the Hotel Ponte Vecchio Suites & Spa. But take a cab there, and don’t try to drive in Florence.
TheFinnishRocks (10/5): A Fantastic Choice for Space and Comfort - Stayed one week in an executive suite. The location of the hotel could not have been better. It's only about a block away from Ponte Vecchio and after crossing it you are almost in the heart of everything. We enjoyed especially the large suite which included a deep bath/jacuzzi. The bed was also very comfortable. Even the pillow was really good, which is not very common. There are plenty of restaurants in the Oltrano area and more across the Arno. In our opinion, the hotel's price-quality ratio was excellent. At least for our needs since we value space & comfort more than views etc. If we would ever visit Florence again, we would definitively choose the same hotel.

I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Florence!! The rooms are large, and honestly kind of glam- in a tasteful way. The happy hour was great, as was the breakfast. The location is also really convenient, it’s an easy walk to everything. The beds are comfy, the shower was heaven. But what really made me love this hotel was the staff. Every single person was not only professional and extremely hospitable- they were also very kind. Just kind human beings who looked after us and made us feel welcomed and nurtured. For example, we had a day trip one day with an early departure and they packed breakfasts for us to take with us- which were wonderful- more food than we could even eat. They also made us fresh coffees to take with. On our last day, my husband was super sick with a fever. Adriano was at the front desk, and I asked if we might extend our checkout time a little bit so he could stay in bed- he not only extended the checkout but made sure we had everything we needed- including some toast and water and juice in the room for breakfast so my husband didn’t need to come down. He was, like everyone, so genuinely kind. I highly recommend this hotel!!

Ponte Vecchio Suites and Spa- Highly Recommend - This hotel is close to all areas and away from the craziness on the other side of Ponte Vecchio, but walking distance to everything. This hotel is GREAT!!! Modern, Clean, Staff are Absolutely Wonderful. They go out of their way to assist with suggestions and any needs that you might have. Will definitely return to this place! :) Breakfast was delicious ! Thank you for a lovely accomodation in Florence!

The hotel is in a fantastic central location, which makes it very convenient for exploring the city. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable, and we felt well taken care of during our stay. The staff were very helpful and attentive throughout our stay. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options, and the location in the city center is excellent. It’s a great base for sightseeing, with many attractions within walking distance. When the window was open, there was a bit of street noise, but that’s quite expected given the very central location of the hotel.

stormville (10/5): Beautiful hotel with excellent service - We had a very nice time at the Ponte Vecchio Suites. The hotel desk staff were unfailingly friendly and helpful. They gave us good suggestions for restaurants and places to see. When we got there our room was too warm and the staff showed us the windows could be open with a push-button, and they also turned on the hotel's central air conditioning just for us! The breakfast buffet, included with our room, was excellent, with great coffee. Our room was comfortable with plenty of clothing space. There was some street noise if the windows were open but I got used to it. Cleanliness was excellent. The hotel is very centrally located, a block or so from the south side of the Ponte Vecchio.

Nous sommes venu en voiture et avons réservé le garage à deux pas de l'hôtel super pratique mais j'avoue un peu cher et avoir un bon GPS Je pense que si nous revenons à Florence, nous réserverons de nouveau ici Merci de toutes les petites attentions qui nous ont fait vraiment plaisir Le parking un peu cher mais tellement pratique

I booked the Junior Suite Superior for my 21yo son and I and it was very comfortable for us with two sleeping spaces. The breakfast was delicious with a wonderful selection and a perfect start to our day. The location is ideal, a beautiful quiet area and so easy to get to everything we wanted to visit. Florence is incredible with fascinating history and beautiful architecture around every corner. The staff was friendly and accommodating and we would definitely stay at Ponte Vecchio Suites again.

Annalisa (10/5): Vacanza da ripetere in questo albergo accogliente e comodissimo - Ottima accoglienza. Lo staff molto disponibile. Numerose le attenzioni riservate ai clienti (consigli, un aperitivo gratuito, cioccolatini come augurio della buonanotte, biscotti e acqua e limone per un break a qualsiasi ora della giornata…). Camera spaziosissima e confortevole. Colazione varia. La SPA (vasca idromassaggio, bagno turco e sauna) riservata -su richiesta- ha reso ancora più ricca la vacanza. Posizione ottimale: in 5/10 minuti si raggiungono i punti di maggiore interesse. Grazie di tutto! Di sicuro torneremo a trovarvi. Annalisa La zona colazione forse è un po piccola per accogliere comodamente tutti i clienti. Ma non è nulla rispetto a tutti gli aspetti positivi e alle qualità di questa struttura.
