- Timothy (9/5): Overall a pleasant stay, we would stay again. - Hotel staff was very nice at the front desk, and bellmen. The area was nice and we enjoyed the hotel overall. Breakfast was just ok, nothing special. The wait staff during aperitivo were very unattentive and a bit rude. Service at breakfast, more than 1 time was very slow.

The courtyard area where we ate breakfast was so nice. All of the staff were friendly and polite. Bernadette waited on us often and you could not ask for a sweeter person! Nothing

- WILLIAM (9/5): Beautiful hotel, convenient to many hotspots in Rome. Staff was wonderful. - Love the hotel and stay, not to far to walk to many locations. Hotel is an old monastery, so parts of the hotel are separated by sets of stairs which were cumbersome with luggage.

O chuveiro é péssimo, vazando água por todo o banheiro e escorrendo até o quarto, causando risco de queda. Tivemos que usar toalhas para secar o chão constantemente, o que é inadmissível para o valor da diária. Além disso, mesmo com o café da manhã incluso na reserva, fomos cobrados em separado por 2 omeletes (24 euros), algo que deveria estar claramente informado. Achei o valor abusivo e incompatível com a experiência oferecida pelo hotel.
- Travelman123123 (8/5): Good enough - We stayed a single night before our flight out of Rome. The building itself is interesting - a former monastery built in the 1600s - and there is certainly a lot of history there. We had just stayed at another VRetreats property in Florence, Il Tornabuoni, so we were hoping for a similarly positive experience. It may just have been bad luck but we found aspects of our stay lacking. Our stay coincided with a private event which closed the common areas - garden and rooftop - to us, and we were not informed at check in. (Apparently no service of any sort on the rooftop either even when open to the guests, which seems like a missed opportunity). Further, our rooms were very difficult to get to, requiring climbing multiple flights of narrow stairs. Apparently this was due to certain areas being closed off for the event — but this too was not communicated at check in and, in any event, difficulty in getting to our room from the hotel lobby is a very inconvenient situation to be in. Rooms were clean, though, and the bathroom products were high quality. Location is also great and service is commendable.

- Departure792291 (10/5): A beautiful place with wonderful staff - This is an exceptional experience in Rome. These historical buildings are in excellent condition. The rooms are comfortable, clean and fitted out with modern conveniences. The staff are exceptional - experienced, welcoming and attentive without intrusion. Travestere is a romantic neighbourhood, cobblestoned alleyways, a touch of bohemia with urban patina, and many convenient ristorante and osteria to eat, drink and watch the days and evenings go by. If you do miss having a gym, you can jog up the stairs behind the hotel to the impressive fountain, which overlooks the city, or jog down to the banks of the river Tiber, which has wide running/cycle tracks for those who prefer not to run on cobblestones! The internal garden and the rooftop terrace are ideal for spending time with friends and family or enjoying the history of it all, without the tourist bustle.
- Lionel (7/5): le cadre est magnifique avec de très bons professionnels, mais altéré par deux nuits bruyantes - Le lieu est superbe, le jardin un havre de paix incroyable, le restaurant est excellent et le personnel est très professionnel Notre chambre était confortable, mais juste au dessus de la rue qui descend dans le centre de Trastevere et nous avons été dérangé les deux nuits par des cris, des discussions à voix haute, des chargements de camions. C'est le bémol, deux nuits bruyantes sur deux c'est beaucoup. Il faut demander une chambre ailleurs que côté rue et vous serez tranquille.

We have chosen this beautiful little paradise for our 3 day visit in Rome and felt like in heaven from the moment we've checked-in till our check-out a few moments ago. The first two nights there was a lot of noise outside at midnight and 2am (sounded like laundry collection). After we spoke to the reception on the third night this was done at 10pm which meant we had a better night's sleep on our third night.

Doesn’t have a bar on the roof so you have to balance ur drinks on a tray up on the roof without spilling while going up stairs. But very small detail just being nit picky

Nous avons pu changer à partir de la 2eme nuit, la chambre était plus grande, cependant les équipements ne correspondent pas au prix. L'armoire de rangement ne possède pas d'étagères, pas de miroir en pied, et pas de rangement possible dans la salle de bains...Les volets ne fermaient pas correctement et la baignoire ne disposait que d'une petite douchette. Les prix du bar et du petit déjeuner sont excessifs

- TanviKapoorGoyal (10/5): Authentic Roman Charm & Amazing Hospitality - We stayed at Donna Camilla Savelli on our trip to Rome and it was the best experience overall. The property was previously a convent built in 1642 and has been transformed into a hotel. The charming galleries to the panoramic view of Rome from the Terrace is truly enchanting. The Rooms are luxurious with very amenity imaginable from the softest robes and slippers to crisp white sheets. We were lucky to get upgraded to a room that overlooked the gardens. It was truly vintage luxury. The staff went out of their way to give us information about local restaurants and helped us in every way possible. The area Trasvestere is one of the must visit areas of Rome as it houses the most amazing restaurants and bars. I am impressed how gorgeously opulent & rustic it is at the same time. Lastly, I have never seen a more elaborate spread of breakfast like the one at the hotel. Fresh and tasty. Children will love the pancakes and pastries while adults can enjoy a beautiful spread of fruits, grilled vegetables, eggs, breads, cheese and cold cuts etc. An excellent experience. Amazing value for money! I am not going anywhere else in Rome !
- Anja (10/5): Oase der Ruhe mit toller Atmosphäre - Die Zimmer des Nebengebäudes sind großzügig geschnitten und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Ein großer Schrank bietet ausreichend Stauraum, Safe und Minibar sind vorhanden. Die Betten wurden mehrmals in 1 Woche frisch bezogen, 2 Kopfkissen (40x80 cm), bequeme nicht zu harte Matratze. Absolute Ruhe obwohl im trubeligen Stadtviertel Trastevere. Zu Fuß ist vieles per Spaziergang zu erreichen. In Trastevere wird man bzgl. Restaurants, Supermarkt und Shops fündig. Toll ist der Garten mit vielen Sitzgelegenheiten, eine kleine Oase mitten in Rom. Einen tollen Ausblick hat man von der Dachterrasse. Das Frühstück in Buffetform ist umfangreich, ausreichend. Für jeden Geschmack lässt sich etwas finden. Man kann auch Frühstück a la carte wählen. Das Personal beim Empfang, Frühstück, in der Bar oder im Restaurant ist bemerkenswert freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben im Nebengebäude gewohnt, deren Zimmer nicht so schön sein sollen wie im Hauptgebäude. Störend empfanden wir nur die eingeschränkte Aussicht aufgrund umgebender hoher Mauern oder auf der anderen Seite der Blick auf eine Parkgarage. Dies hat auch die Zimmer etwas verdunkelt. In meinem Zimmer 814 fehlte leider ein Schminkspiegel!

Nous avons Cependant, deux points mériteraient d’être améliorés. Tout d’abord, j’avais organisé un surclassement de chambre en surprise et j’avais pris contact avec l’hôtel en amont pour cela. Malheureusement, au moment de notre arrivée, le monsieur à la réception a mentionné directement le surclassement ainsi que le montant que j’avais payé en supplément, ce qui a complètement gâché la surprise. La même situation s’est reproduite au moment du départ : lorsque l’on nous a demandé de régler la taxe de séjour, le surclassement et son prix ont à nouveau été évoqués. Cela manquait clairement de discrétion, surtout au vu du prix du séjour. Deuxième point : au moment de régler la note finale, nous pensions simplement payer les petits-déjeuners, la taxe de séjour ainsi que le pourboire proposé en supplément de 7,50 €. Finalement, on nous a annoncé 50 € supplémentaires correspondant à 5 % par nuit du montant total de la chambre pour le service de l’hôtel. Cette information n’était pas claire pour nous et nous pensions qu’avec un séjour à plus de 1400€ pour 4 nuits, ce service était déjà inclus dans le tarif. Hormis ces deux points, tout était parfait et nous avons tout de même passé un excellent séjour.

This hotel is nestled in Trastevere, so you’re steps away from just about everything in Rome without feeling like you’re in Tourist Central. Wonderful friendly staff, terrific breakfast (thanks, Davide and Jacobo, for your warm welcome!) and a great bar and rooftop terrace for an amazing view over the city. Rooms are cozy (similar size to any major European city) and well provisioned, with a very nice bathroom. We will definitely be back on our next visit!

The location is Trastevere was perfect for us - we walked almost everywhere and loved all the food and drink options in the neighborhood. The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous, but the real standout was the staff, who were extraordinarily kind, friendly, and helpful. I'd unabashedly recommend it to anyone traveling to Rome.
