This time we decided to try Maçka Hayat Hotel, and we have to say very clearly: for this price level, it is without any doubt one of the best combinations of service, location, and overall experience you can find in Istanbul. The location is outstanding. You are in Maçka, right next to Nişantaşı, which is one of the most central, elegant, and vibrant areas of the city. Within literally 50–150 meters, you are surrounded by the world’s leading luxury brands: Hermès, Prada, Cartier, Richard Mille, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Beymen, and many more. You step outside and you are immediately in the middle of Istanbul’s most refined shopping and lifestyle district. At the same time, you are only a few minutes away from the Bosphorus. A short walk downhill brings you directly to the waterfront. Maçka Park is also very close, offering a quiet green escape. From here, you can easily reach Beşiktaş, Dolmabahçe Palace, or even take a quick ride to Karaköy and Galataport. The balance between city life and accessibility is excellent. What impressed us the most is the service. In many hotels, you always find a mix of very good and average staff. Here, that was not the case. From the security staff at the entrance to the reception, from housekeeping to spa and breakfast service, everyone genuinely tries to deliver the best possible experience. You can feel that people care and are making a real effort. The building itself is beautiful, with a strong architectural character that gives the hotel a distinct identity. Our room was very well designed and equipped. It even included features like a steam bath and a private hammam-style area, which is something you normally only find in much higher price categories. Breakfast was a highlight. The variety is impressive, and there are unique touches you do not often see. Beyond the classic options like Eggs Benedict in different variations, there are more creative dishes such as grilled octopus, which is quite unusual for a breakfast menu. Fresh juices, high-quality ingredients, and attentive service make the experience stand out. Guests can choose different room orientations depending on their preference: park view, street view, or quieter inner-facing rooms. It is worth selecting this in advance depending on whether you prefer city energy or more privacy. Of course, no hotel is perfect, but what matters is the overall experience and attitude. Here, the effort, friendliness, and consistency of the team make a real difference. In summary, if you are looking for a hotel in Istanbul that combines one of the best locations in the city with genuinely strong service and excellent value, Maçka Hayat Hotel is a top choice. The hotel is located in a building that was converted into a hotel, and I love the heritage that is visible throughout the hotel. The room was amazing, with own Turkish bath inside the bathroom. The whole room was spacious. My only disappointment was that I booked this stay through the Hyatt Privé program, where I received $100 property credit. I wanted to use this credit in Cipriani (one of the hotel restaurants). However, the staff advised me that I cannot use my credit in that venue. On the hotel website and everywhere, Cipriani restaurant is advertised as one of the restaurants WITHIN the hotel, so I assumed it was possible to use the credit there, but unfortunately not. It was never mentioned that this credit cannot be used there. I would have appreciated more transparency on this. Overall, it was a good stay.

• Kristina (8/5): In summary, an excellent location and generally good staff, but the hotel itself needs renovation an - The breakfast was satisfactory, though the variety could certainly be improved, especially given the category of the hotel. The location is excellent for those who wish to stay in the heart of Nişantaşı, as I did; however, for sightseeing and exploring the city as a tourist, it may not be the most convenient choice. The staff were generally excellent — most of them, to be precise — and their attentiveness added real value to the stay. The hotel itself is somewhat dated, and the rooms would certainly benefit from renovation. While the location is excellent for staying in the heart of Nişantaşı, it’s less ideal for those visiting the city as tourists. The breakfast was adequate but lacked variety for a hotel of this calibre, and the rooftop bar was rather unremarkable. The pool area is quite limited, offering only six sunbeds, which is far from sufficient during peak times. Although most of the staff were excellent and added value to the stay, a few — particularly during breakfast — did not demonstrate the level of training one would expect. Additionally, the hotel should provide clearer information about the amenities and services available. Finally, while I had dinner at Nusret, the experience did not live up to its reputation.

We travel frequently and have stayed at many Park Hyatt properties over the years, yet the level of service, warmth, and genuine hospitality extended by your team in Istanbul was truly unparalleled. We originally planned to stay at the property for only three nights, with a reservation at another hotel beginning on November 16. However, within minutes of arriving, it became clear that the Macka Palas team was exceptional in every regard, and we decided to remain for the duration of our stay. From the moment we exited our transportation, we were welcomed with gracious and heartfelt service by the Bell and Door Staff. Murat, in particular, was the first to greet us and set the tone for what would become the most memorable hotel experience we have ever had. His professionalism, kindness, and pride in his work were evident from the start. Upon entering the lobby, the entire Front Desk team greeted us by name as though they had been anticipating our arrival. Throughout our stay, Arzu continued to brighten our days—from sharing an unforgettable orange cappuccino with us at Kapicciiinoo, to gifting us thoughtful Park Hyatt keepsakes, including local Evil Eye charms and personalized items that we will cherish forever. Breakfast each morning was equally outstanding. The entire restaurant team exuded joy and passion for their work, creating an atmosphere that energized us daily. The food offerings were exceptional, and no request was ever too much. It was clear that every staff member sincerely loved serving guests. We were also honored to meet Mr. Erhan Yurtsever, whose warm welcome, kind smile, and genuine engagement left a profound impression on us. His leadership is clearly reflected in the attitude, enthusiasm, and unity of his entire team. The Guest Services team consistently surprised us with handwritten notes, thoughtful amenities, and warm gestures that made every return to our room special. And we must express our deepest appreciation for Selime and the housekeeping staff, whose radiance, kindness, and joyful spirits made us feel like family. Our daily hugs from Selime became something we truly looked forward to. When it came time to depart at 2:00 a.m. on November 23, your team orchestrated everything seamlessly. Murat was waiting to help us and honored us with the beautiful Turkish tradition of pouring water as we left—symbolizing a safe journey and wishing that we “go like water and return like water.” It was an emotional and meaningful farewell that we will never forget. You are need the high end shopping area and food area around the corner from the hotel. The staff is very nice and helpful. Most of the staff speaks English and are very friendly. The facilities are very clean and the included breakfast is fantastic.

The location is great, many restaurants & nice shops close by. The room was big, bed was cozy and we had a sauna in the bathroom for the Turkish Bath! The reception staff extremely polite & professional! We booked a Turkish Bath at the spa and loved it!

• 224jand (10/5): Best Hotel in Istanbul with the best staff - From the amazing, professional yet humble GM Erhan with his elite & expert hospitality, the fantadtic Senol from concierge, housekeeping and everyone in between, best service hands down I've ever experienced in Turkey. The moment we checked in to the very end check out, the service was seamless and exceptional and could not highly recommend this hotel and its staff enough. The gym is super clean and has everything you need to get a great workout. The breakfast crew made my kids, wife and I all feel welcome every morning. The talented gozleme lady greets you with a radiant smile and she genuinely looks like she enjoys serving her amazing and very delicious gozleme. 3 x great restaurants in Kalimera, Nusret and Ciprianis. We did Nusret burgers which was nice and Cirprianis, although pricey, the food was exceptional. The location of the hotel is perfect with all the high end retails walking distance. My new favourite hotel in Istanbul and perhaps all of Turkey.

• FredB799 (10/5): Fantastic Hotel in Istanbul - This was one of the best hotel experiences we have had, and we have traveled extensively all over the world. The gentleman at the front desk, Ata Gurpinar, was most welcoming and very helpful in explaining details about our stay. He even escorted us to our room and explained how everything worked. Next we went to the Greek restaurant and had a wonderful meal and the maitre d’ was very helpful explaining the various dishes. The grilled sea bass was the best we have had in Turkey. As we were leaving the hotel for the airport the General Manager, Ethan Yurtsever, engaged us in a delightful conversation. We just can’t say enough good about this hotel. We hope to come back to Istanbul to stay here again!!!!

Идеальная чистота, красивые качественные номера Очень скудный завтрак, не соответствует выбранной категории отеля, некомфортный зал для завтрака. Отсутствие летней веранды. За три дня не удалось ни разу записаться на ужин, предлагалось время не ранее 21-30, 22-00, при этом ресторан принимает гостей из города. Ресторан Kalimera не вкусный, поэтому там и нет гостей. Два дня вынуждены были ужинать в других отелях, которые с удовольствием нас принимали.

You truly feel at home, even when far from home. The rooms are spacious and thoughtfully designed, as are the bathrooms. The hospitality is incredible, with many excellent restaurants to enjoy on property. The location is outstanding, allowing you to fully experience and enjoy local life like a true Istanbulite.
