Guest Reviews
- Vlad (2/5): - They completely ruined my visit to Prague
1. Reception located mile (1.4km) away from hotel!
2. The security deposit amount turned out to be unreasonably high, which led to problems with credit card payment.
3. I believe this residence cannot be considered a hotel and cannot be recommended to anyone on Expedia because the management is appalling, the staff is unprofessional, impolite, and indifferent to customer concerns.
- Alexander (4/5): - Location was ok. I’m so upset with the check in location which is far from the stay location this was not clear in the description so we had to walk almost 2km in the rain for check in, also had issues with wifi
- Matthew (8/5): - Pretty good location. No parking options were provided. Had to go to a private garage 20mins away. Overall great value.
- Erick (10/5): - Gran apartamento.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing View - Amazing river view, like its name... (+ dancing house)
Checkin must be done in another place. Unfortunately we noticed this a bit lately. But it is all fault
Fuld valuta for pengene. Flot indrettet.
- Jaime (6/5): - EL EDIFICIO ES BELLÍSIMO, LAS CONDICIONES DE LIMIEZA SON REGULARES Y TIENE MAL INTERNET. CREO QUE LAS CONDICIONES DE RECIBO DE LLAVES Y PAGOS DE DEPÓSITOS SON MUY OBSOLETAS Y PONEN AL VIJERO EN DIFICULTADES Y EXTRA COSTOS
- Mandeep (4/5): Ok stay - Having to walk 20mins from property to check in with 4 children and suitcases was a bad start. No screen on shower so daily mopping of water was required. Handles on doors and windows kept falling off. No baggage storage at apartments, again another 20mins trek!
- Rohit (10/5): Prague- the river view apartments.. - Amazing location. And even better apartment, large two bedrooms, large well appointed kitchen with all utensils and equipment, amazing little balcony opens to the vlatav river and Charles bridge.. a separate shower and toilette.... large and very well maintained....don't think twice ... Book it ..... The centre is a walk away with great restaurants l located around the apartment. The tram station is at the door... Tesco supermarket is a 10 min walk.... It's a no brainer... Book it. Don't waste time looking for a hotel in the old city. This is it.......
- Jessica (8/5): - Sehr großzügiges Apartment in zentraler Lage. Einziges Manko, eine Toilette für 12 Betten
- CCIHS (4/5): Budget accommodation; Not like the photographs - We booked a package with Expedia - never again!
Over an hour to sort out keys at the collection point at midnight, who said they did not have a room for us.
On the plus side the accommodation was large and clean.
However it was rather shabby, and our apartment was on the main road so quite noisy.
The apartment stated residents should be quiet 10pm-6am, but this was not heeded by the large party of German young men or by a British group, sharing and drunk in the early hours.
If you want a cheap venue for a stag weekend then this would probably be good, but not for a family holiday.
- Charlie_xxx11223344 (8/5): Great place to stay! - We visited Prague as a family with friends in December. We needed sufficient accommodation for 9 people in 2 apartments. We used their airport transfer service, which was excellent, and the same price as using a local taxi.
You are taken to a hotel to pick up the keys. We had a bit of a hiccup, as one family had been 'upgraded' to a different location. After a lengthy discussion, we were able to have both families in the same location.
The apartments are big, and fairly sparsely furnished. But the heating was excellent. (We had to turn it down). The kitchen looked adequate, although we chose to eat out. The bathroom was fine, but the shower was a bit feeble.
It was about a 20 minute walk to the main old town square, but if you get your act together, there are trams that get you almost there in a few minutes. (You have to buy tickets at local tobacconists).
There were a couple of groups of other young men, who were on a bit of a different mission and timezone to us. But actually their noise was only brief as they came in or went out.
Would be very happy to stay here again.
- Olga (10/5): - Schöne, sehr saubere Wohnung in der besten Lage.
- Ai-Chi (8/5): Touristy area, homely interior - Receptionists did show their professionalism upon check-in, while it's still a long way to go between hotel reception and the apart rooms. Our room was located near a street where trams pass by every few minutes until midnight, thus not a recommendation for serenity lovers. Otherwise, the room is generally comfy and spacious.
- Gokhan (8/5): - It was a big apartment relatively close to tourist attractions. Pretty much everything could be done by walking if you are in a good shape. Interior was very basic. Towels and toilet paper and one small bar soap, that’s all we got. But again we knew it was an apartment not a hotel. As they mentioned, you need to go to a different place to get the keys. I would return knowing the limitations. The place is good if you are a family.
- Timo (6/5): Excellent wiew - Very peaceful and quiet hotel with excellent wiew to the river.
- ORIOL (8/5): PRECIOSOS APARTAMENTOS - El apartamento era bonito, bastante amplio y muy nuevos, limpieza y servicio perfecto.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Schöne, große Wohnung in guter Lage.
- jusmeetn (8/5): Lovely Rooms, close to Prague Centre. - We visited Riverview palace apartments as part of a stag and they were very accommodating for 18 persons.
The rooms are lovely and very clean. The windows open very wide which allows a nice amount of breeze to enter, considering the fact it was 30 degrees when i visited June 1-4th. The kitchens contain everything you need to cook, however i would avoid using the toaster (it looked more greasy than a back of a donner shop).
The only issue i can say is they only provide 1 towel per person regardless on time of stay, as you can imagine 4 days using the same towel could get pretty grimey. However, i prepared for this luckily and brought another towel just to be safe.
One thing is that there is no AC available, the thermostat is there, however it is not functional.
The only bad thing i can say is the stairs are not maintained at all. There is sharop metal sticking out on the railings of the stairs, which had sliced 4 people in our Group. Also, the buzzers never worked outside the building, so with 2 keys to each apartment and many people from the group returning at all times off the night, it became frustrating that we would have to wait sometimes up to an hour to get in the building.
- Speedyg1989 (10/5): Great location! - Recently visited the Riverview Palace apartments in Prague. I contacted the main office and also arranged transfers nothing was a problem and everyone one dealt with was very helpful. On arrival to the apartment we were given various places to visit and directions. The apartment was basic and clean ideal for a group of friends on a boozy few days away. Area felt safe and everything was a short walk away. Based right on the river it really was value. Would recommend any one who was visiting Prague!
- Lisa (8/5): Great location. Fab view of the river. - The apartment was beautiful with loads of space. Facilities were basic but ok. Fridge and kettle was faulty. Kitchen and bathroom clean but the bedroom was filthy with tumbleweed dust balls.
- YasTruby (8/5): GREAT VIEWS, GREAT LOCATION - 8 friends and I have just returned from Prague and had an absolutely amazing time. After some slight confusion as to which apartment block we were actually staying in, we finally found the reception and collected our keys. We were staying on the top floor, and be aware that there are A LOT of stairs, though there is a very small lift, which fits about 2 people in, 3 at a push.
The apartment was simple, spacious, had great views and everything we could’ve ask for. There were 9 of us in total and there was enough room for 12 so we had plenty of space. I cannot say enough about the views from the balcony, amazing views of the Dancing House and the river. Unfortunately, the patio doors that led out to two of the balconies were screwed shut, and had notices saying that they were “CLOSED DUE TO MAINTENANCE”, which was a huge shame, especially when the lounge/dining room got too warm.
Although mostly clean, I will say that the apartment does need some work. A lot of dust and cobwebs on the high ceilings and the furniture is quite worn. The floor tiles in the main bathroom are cracked, which would be painful to stand on if getting out of the shower / bare foot. There is one wardrobe to hang clothes in, which for 9 people, staying for 5 days, caused a slight problem.
The location of Riverview Apartments is great. Roughly about a 10 minute walk from Charles Bridge, 15 mins to Old Town and about 10 mins to New Town. There are some great bars and restaurants around the apartment also, if you don’t fancy walking into the centre.
Definitely worth a visit and perfect for a big group of friends. We will definitely return!
- Abdullah (10/5): stag weekend away - Amazing value for money. The apartment was huge! There was 9 of us and still plenty space for more people or comfort ! We was on the top floor (6th floor) if the lift was in use - climbing 6 floors is really hard - especially after a long day out. The city centre is approx 20 min walk. View of the river and the city from the apartment is 100% amazing. The hotel did have minor wear and tear - nothing that really affected us. I would use the same hotel again if I whent back. Oh also the hotel also does offer minibus or airport taxi service - which beats any price ! - UK website and also local price! Thanks for the service and stay .. see you again ;)
- gjertrudj2015 (10/5): Class trip - We are a school class from Norway who rented four apartments, they were all very big and nice. Well worth the costs. It also had everything you needed in the kitchen as knives, pans etc. The toilet and the bathroom is in two separate rooms, which was very practical for larger groups.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice room with great view of the river, worth it for the price we paid. Very good value for money!
- Verified traveler (6/5): OK - Helt ok plass. Intet mer, intet mindre.
- B.A. (6/5): - Zeer groot appartement met 2 slaapkamers. 8 bedden!!
- Voyage591189 (10/5): Great stay in Prague for 10 - Don't normally leave reviews but have to say we had an excellent stay in Prague in these apartments! We were in the penthouse on the top floor and the apartment was so much bigger than we expected. It could comfortably sleep 12 and the rooms were a lot bigger than the photos looked. The views from the balconies were also amazing! The only issue we had was there was only two bathrooms so we did struggle sometimes in the mornings if we all wanted a shower. Also you could use the lift but only for 3 people at a time so we took the stairs, which was like climbing a mountain after a few drinks- it might be an issue for some people but didn't bother us too much. We used the taxi service to and from the airport which made the journey even smoother and was great value for €6pp each way and they also take you to the office to collect the keys. If you don't use this service you have to make your own way there so I highly recommend their airport transfers. The apartment itself is a 5-10 minute stroll along the river to the centre which was also an enjoyable walk.
Overall we had a great stay in Prague and we would definitely stay here again!
- Klaudia (8/5): nice place - Nice place, close to the river, with many pubs around. Apartment was clean and spacious with a nice and simple design. The only bad thing was check-in office on a different street and a high deposit but overall it was very good.
- Tal9673 (4/5): No! - Make yourself a favor, and don't stay there
What booking sites don't tell clearly tell you that the keys to this neglected apartment are given in a far-away, not nearby, hotel, that you need to take a cab to/from the property, which can easily cost you about 30 EUR for this round trip, and the elevator is very small.
Now think about a VERY hot day in Prague, that you need to go back and forth with all your luggage.
Don't be tempted!
- Wayel (10/5): A great place for family reunion - There were seven of us with my 8 1/2 months baby who loved to play and crawl around. We enjoyed a nice family breakfast, the baby crawled around happily and my octagenerian parents were able to relax in a family atmosphere. Old town was only 10 minutes away walking, and my parents sometimes preferred to take a taxi back. A perfect vacation and family reunion.
- KazDaz01 (8/5): Weekend Break - friends with kids - We stayed here for a 4 night break over the weekend. We were on the 4th floor in the room over looking the river. The apartment was huge, 2 big bedrooms and a mezzanine floor, there must have been at least 12 beds! The lounge & dining area over looked the river with 2 balcony areas, the kitchen was modern and we'll equipped. The smaller bathroom had cracked tiles on the floor but that was the only fault. Is popular with groups of lads and we did get woken up in the early hours but was only for 5 minutes each night. Location is great, close to tram and metro.
- kimiy0m (8/5): comfortable and convenient - stayed here with my family for a 3-night stay in Prague. we were in room 13. the place is very conveniently located by the Jiráskův most, near a shopping mall and many restaurants. the facilities are great. we really enjoyed the kitchen and washing machine+dryer as well as the cable TV. internet connection was not stable or particularly fast, just enough to post some pictures, check some emails and make reservations for our next stop. only problem other (driving) travelers might have is with parking on the street, which sometimes gets crowded.
we really loved the view of the river! excellent place overall.
- C0ddy (8/5): Huge apartment, great location - We went as a family of 5 and stayed in the 3 bed apartment. It was huge! Had about 12 beds in it, still with plenty of room. Usually we have to book 3 bedrooms as apartment and hotel bedrooms are so small, we struggle to fit a third child in. Not the case here! Kitchen well equipped (microwave, fridge, freezer, toaster, hob, washing machine), although we only used it for breakfast and to store drinks. Could not hear any neighbours. Could hear a bit of traffic noise, but not enough to disturb sleep. Great location, close to old town and Charles bridge.
We parked our car at the old town apartments, near to where we checked in. Check-in staff very pleasant and helpful, but it is about a 20 minute walk to apartments from there. The apartment has lots of stairs too! ( although it does have a small lift).
The only negative i would say is that the towels are very small and have seen better days.
I would definitely recommend and would stay here again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Prefect for a stag do, can get 11 lads into a room - 10 min walk to center or trams running outside, small tram ride away from Zlute lazne beach which can't speak highly enough of! All in all perfect stag material
- Enthusiastic Raymond (6/5): Excellent location and views - This is not a hotel in normal sense. No reception area.
Keys had to picked up at a hotel 15 minute walk away.
Greatest disappointment was lack of any English
language TV channel other than CNN - not even
Czech, but German!
- rallen77 (4/5): Rough neighborhood, unhelpful staff - Our car was broken into in broad daylight directly in front of this apartment. Neighbor told me his had been broken into 3 times recently. The police were good and responded very quickly. They said that their precinct gets 4-5 burglary calls daily from the same area. We were due to check out on the morning of the break in, but needed some extra time since it took several hours to complete the police report. In the meantime, we had nowhere to put our stuff since the vehicle was no longer secure. The staff did not do anything to help. In fact, they would not let us put our suitcases in an otherwise empty apartment without charging a 50E fee.
- Ahmed (4/5): - Prepare your self for some major headaches.
The Cons.
1) prepare to walk 1.5km to get to check in. 2) sinks were clogged before we used them and the piping started to leek on the floor
3) 1 towel provided for 4 people.
4) creaky beds!! To get a good nights sleep your gonna have to put the bed matresses on the floor.
The Pros.
Great location with awesome view. The staff were friendly and quick to address the issues.
Price was good.
- lostinprague (8/5): Perfect location - Again, we came here on a family trip for a week during the kids week long school break in February 2014, great access by tram and metro (and by foot) to the centre of Prague. We had a noisy neighbor, but we spoke to the reception and the neighbours quietened down afterwards. The kitchen is adequately furnished and the rooms are spacious (maybe too spaciaous), but overall the stay was very pleasant. Can be a bit nosiy with the trams and cars as on a busy intersection nearby the river.
- 1983johng (10/5): Stag do! - With 10 lads sharing on a stag do we didn't really know what to expect but were pleasently surprise. Excellent views across the river and a short walk from shops bars and hooters!
The city is a great place to visit and locals really welcoming. Would recommend the city to everyone and these apartments to large groups stags and hens as we did party!!
Cheers
- Verified traveler (10/5): Fantastic Apartment overlooking the River - 9 Friends staying in this great apartment.
The apartment was a great size and nicely laid out. The view was great and we quite honestly couldn't believe our luck with the price we paid.
The apartment was basic in terms of furniture but this was great for us. 9 beds, a few settees, a dinning table, 3/4 big wardrobes, TV and a kitchen with appliances (hob, microwave, kettle, fridge freezer, cutlery etc.).
I couldn't find a fault with the apartment and rate it 10 out of 10. All of the lads with me loved our stay here and having nice weather made it even better.
I personally don't know if I would stay here with a family, not because of the apartment facilities etc. but more because I feel it is likely to attract large groups (i.e. Stag Do's) who may be noisy. Although saying this we never heard anything from other apartments whilst we were staying here.
- Wendy (8/5): Good - Large apartment, a bit outdated and needs some maintance, but overall well worth the price. We made the mistake of not reading the fine print and headed straight to the apartment rather than the office, so had to back track a bit. After checkout, our flight wasnt until late so they let us keep our luggage at the office, which was very helpful.
- M8806JPMarkB (10/5): Weekend Break - Nice spacious apartment for a group of friends [ we were 9 however you could squeeze 11 in]. Great view - only a 15min pleasant walk from Charles Bridge. Staff at hotel are really helpful, usefull to get email contact before you go. They also do a collection service from the airport.
- Jackie (2/5): very disappointing and nothing you can do - I booked an apartment like whats in the website with a view of the river (at least its what was described). I was told the apartment is not available. I was given a different one in a totally different location. About 3 kilomenters away from what I planned to visit. Nothing I can do but accept it.
The apartment is also away from where you will pick up the key... about 5 kilometers.
The apartment is big, its good. But that does not justify the distances mentioned above. Too frustrating, when the rooms are right in front of the tram rails exactly where it rings its signal beeps before it stops... Cant sleep with that every 4 minutes loud trams beeps.
- Simon (8/5): Lovely location, poor service - The apartment was lovely; well-situated with a very pretty view of the river. It is about a 10 minute walk away from the old town attractions, but the neighborhood does not feel overcrowded. The only negative was that we had arranged a pick up from the train station, so that we would not have to walk to the other hotel to pick up the key - I have a pregnant wife and a 2 year old child - but the pick-up was an hour late. Supposedly there was heavy traffic as a result of a football match, but the football stadium is on the opposite side of the river to the apartments and train station. The hotel management, however, did discount the cost of the transfer. I would still recommend, though, as the apartment was beautiful and not too expensive for what you get.
- GBRTraveller (8/5): Good value for short weekend break !! - Away on stag do 1st weekend September, great weather in Prague, good cheap beer, great times and the apartment was located in a nice area with a river view and 10-15 minute walk to centre. Apartment was big enough for all 12 of us and management company were great, helpful and responded quick to a problem we had that was not of our making !! Local bars for food and drinks....would go back. Oh the only downside was 1 bathroom for all of us but bathroom and toilet were separate so we managed.
- Vandasard (10/5): Exceptional value for money! - The hotel was booked as part of our hen-do package and we were pleasantly surprised by the impressive building, cleanliness and spaciousness. The flat seemed to be recently renovated with ikea furnitures and kitchen fittings. It was immaculately clean and had exceptional views over the river and the dancing house as well as a balcony where we had our breakfast in the morning. The flat (No.42) had a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom and a separate shower room. The bed mattress was comfortable, the pillows massive and you could regulate the heating to switch on and off. The hotel is placed 15 minutes walking from the Charles Bridge so we did not have to use public transport or taxis. There are a couple of excellent restaurants around (like stara boda), and there is a tube station 2 minutes walking. Moreover, there is FREE wi-fi.
If I were a perfectionist, I would have complained about the lack of reception desk (although we did not feel unsafe and were provided with a couple of numbers in case of emergency). Unlike a hotel, they do not change the towels and if you request to have them changed, they charge 15 euros for the service. Luckily, we did not need to use their service.
To sum up, this was perfect for our hen party...not sure if I would recommend it to a family as hen parties can become noisy during the night.
- Chaz_Gahley (8/5): Not bad - This was my 4th time of visiting Prague - yet another stag-do! I didn't book the apartment, another friend in our group did. I'm not sure who they booked the apartment through (I think it may have been through Red & Blue Hotels) but our original apartment was due to be loacted near Wencelas Square but there were some technical difficulties with the original apartment (which in my opinion was a load of B.S.) so we were re-located to Riverview Apartments instead.
The apartment it self was very good in my opinion. I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were massive with plenty of space and, most importantly, the rooms were clean.
We had two rooms as there were 13 of us. I was in the bigger room which was able to accomodate 9 people. The beds weren't the most comfortable but they weren't bad either, although, the beds were very small. I was worried I might fall off and I'm only 5'6" myself.
My only other criticism is that the room I was in could have done with another toilet and bath/shower facility. There was only one toilet/bath shower in our room, so it took a while before everyone in our room was able to get ready.
There was free wi-fi available but everytime I (or anybody else with an iPhone) locked the phone, I would have to re-enter the login/password credentials in each time, which was a little tedious.
The only real issue about the apartment for us was the location but that was because we were expecting an apartment near Wencelas Sq. Riverview Apartments is a 20 minute walk away from Wencleas Sq. Having said that, there is a nearby Metro/Subway station as well as trams. It's also fairly easy to flag down a taxi if required. One thing I will say about the apartment is that it offers a beautiful view of the River and scenery behind it. Nice to wake up to for sure.
There is a shop just outside the apartment, which is handy but we all located a nearby Tesco, which is about a 10/15 minutes walk, to gather bits and bobs for our room. There are also a number of restaurants/cafes nearby too.
The only cause for concern that I could see was that there was no reception desk or means to contact somebody if something had gone wrong at the apartment so I'd advise obtaining contact details from somebody as they hand the keys over.
I've never stayed in an apartment abroad so I can't make a comparison but generally speaking, this apartment wasn't bad at all.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Great location. Was not aware that i needed to go to another hotel to pick up the key for the appartment.Clean but very basically furnished. Was woken at 3 am by partying youngsters who were obviously returning from a BIG night out and were ringing all door bells to gain access from the street entrance. Photos on site are flattering.
- KamillaF (10/5): Amazing! - Me and my friends stayed for 4 nights. we all loved it from the moment we got there.
It was perfect for friends, but i also think it is a good family apartment
- HASHIMAHH (2/5): Nightmare and Terrible Experience - The location sis far from tourists areas, heater does not function, elevator is bad ans small ,. Buildng is awful. No recetion desk at the hotel...hot water failed to function.. scary building.
- Nicola (6/5): Couples getaway! - A beautiful apartment right on the river, amazing views. Stunning architecture, poor furnishings! Local youths rang the door entry bell 5 times during the night! Not great for families, would recommend as cheap break for couples!
- Casey (10/5): Great place for a big group - This place is awesome. We had a group of six people and the two-room apartment could have slept eight comfortably. There was a kitchen with cups, plates and utensils, a bathroom that was situated into two rooms, one with a shower and sink, the other with a toilet and sink. The rooms were large and comfortable, and the view of the river was gorgeous. The room was super clean and everything we were looking for as a large group.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Perfect base for a party - Extremely spacious rooms. Perfect for our hen weekend. Apartments were mainly occupied by hen and stag parties. There is no storage space for luggage at this location. You will need to go back to the red and blue design hotel. We had beautiful views or the dancing house and river. Will stay here again.
- Rebecca (4/5): Dirty, Damaged and Disappointing - Apartment was dirty - our feet looked like we'd been walking barefoot outside. Dishes and utensils looked like they were thrown into the drawer/cabinets without being washed. Hair in the microwave. Dirty walls. Several areas of the apartment walls, door jams and door frames were damaged and needed repair - as if the doors had been kicked in or pried open. We asked for extra towels and they were not provided. The front desk staff at the hotel where we picked up our keys were horrible at giving directions. The apartment idea is a great one - especially for those traveling with more than a few people and we will try it again (we had three adults and two kids); but this particular apartment was disappointing.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Riverview Palace Apartments, Prague - Very spacious and clean rooms in a good location, only 10 minute walk to Charles Bridge and the old town. Great view over the river. You must collect your keys from another hotel on the opposite side of the river which is approx a 20-30 minute walk but the hotel staff there are very welcoming and speak very good english so were able to help with any queries we had.
