Das hätten wir bei einem 4 Sternehotel erwartet.

The rooms were very hot without air conditioning, especially as we had a room at the front which was very sunny. - Mahesh (8/5): Great value for money - On arrival late in the evening, the front desk were extremely helpful in getting us checked in and explaining about the hotel services and facilities. We had a slight issue on arrival in that one of the rooms had been set up for one person and the other was not as clean as we would have expected (bathroom). The night desk was extremely helpful and sorted the issues immediately. Mention was made that the new housekeeping service were not living up to the expected standards. As a location to jump into the city, they offered a free shuttle to the local metro station, however we used Uber through out our trip. Note - Ubers are cheaper by 30% when compared to metered taxi's. The day staff on the desk and in the restaurant were friendly and helpful with no question to difficult. The facilities included a gym which was well organised. The sauna was not available when we looked to use the facilities and the pool was very cold even though we were informed it was supposed to be 28c. Overall, the Hotel Am Moosfeld feels like an older hotel that has had a recent refit to the bathrooms and bedrooms, however, the rest of the public places needed to be lifted to give a more modern feel. Highly recommended for the rooms, staff and food (breakfast and dinner were awesome). The location detracts but this is made up in how reasonable the room rates were.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property is a great deal as along as you don’t mind staying outside the city center. Location is nice and quiet, it’s close to the underground station (about a 5 min walk), and free parking is provided. It takes about 15-20 mins to get to city center by train, very easy. Breakfast buffet was perfect with many options and pleasant staff. Room was clean and spacious, and bed was comfortable. Overall an excellent experience, would definitely stay here again for future visits.
- MIN SEOK (8/5): Good and Calm Stay - Overall I am satisfied with my stay here. The room is clean. The hotel staffs are kind and the hotel restaurant serves the good meal. If you go one stop by U-bahn, there is a big shopping mall, while it is slightly far from the major tourism attractions (but you can easily get them by subway). The hotel also provides the shuttle to the S-bahn station (S8), which is connected to the Munich International Airport. If you want to take a rest calmly, I think this hotel is good choice.

- Stuart (10/5): Excellent as always. - I always have a great stay at the Moosfeld and have been staying here for many many years. This was my first time back in a few years but still the same great hotel. Only one slight gripe is that the WiFi signal in the room kept dropping out.

The pillows however are not very old, soft and promise confines but are giant squares which don't fit right and can't get settled with them. Also being the standard.of hotel it is, I did not bring shampoo nor body lotion, believing there to be in the hotel however there is a dispenser with what we can assume is liquid soap as there are no labels. That was a little disappointing. Although the location is good and pretty close to U2 line to city centre.

- Reza (4/5): Guest houses' rooms aren't good at all - I had booked room in the hotel, but I have been asked to go to guest house as there is no room available in the hotel ! Guest houses are outside of the hotel with different way. The room was under gable roof, it means most of the room space was useless. It seemed all rooms keys are same as the key was main enterance's key and at the same time your room's key!! and everybody could open main entrance's door with the room key!!! which is not good at all. I was taking my valuable items with me when was leaving the room. I never have seen a room with single bed ! really small single bed and some other tired furnitures but breakfast was very good. You can use hotel shuttles to go to Messe exhibition centre and also around tube stations which is good.

- FJ (6/5): Unexpected Cost.... - It would have been held up knowing they offered a shuttle service from the airport. I traveled from the US and do not speak the language. I spend 70 Euros (86 US dollars) for a cab to the hotel!! I found out I could have paid 12 Euros for the tram. They told me I should have called to arrange 2 days prior to my checking. I would have tried, if it was listed as an amenity.Disappointing. Went I arrived to my room it was a twin size bed. In the US no hotels have twin beds as a standard. I asked for a larger bed to comfort, and they moved me to another building, but never told me I would be charged more st checkout. This should have been disclosed at the time. They charged an additional 40 euros (50 American dollars). I wasn't able to use the gym, needed another key to access the separate building ( which was building #3). The front desk clerk said my key should work but it didn't. I was aggravated by this point, and didn't ask anymore. it was my first time to Germany, and It was very different than how things are here in the US. It was as up to date as I expected from the pictures. Lesson Learned!

Facilities inside the hotel was well maintained and practical. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel is a short walk from the metro, which brings us directly into the city centre. Overall a good place to stay.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing Hotel near Munich with Free Breakfast!! - The hotel was amazing on all fronts: staff was always smiling and helpful, the rooms were clean with everything we needed, and the free daily breakfast was heads and shoulders above what you find in America. Top that with free wifi and a free shuttle to the S-Bahn and you're left wanting nothing. ONLY downside was that the beds were a little hard but that wouldn't stop me from staying there again and again. Sehr gut!!

- Verified traveler (10/5): - The overall experience with Hotel AM Moosfeld was very good. The subway station was a short distance away. I was able to get tickets for the Metro tram at the front desk & have them billed to my rooom. If staying more than a few days, I would recommend getting the three day ticket.

The wifi was slow when trying to watch any videos, but the staff was excellent; delivering items I requested quickly. Shower was nice as well and breakfast other amenities were enjoyable too.
- Verified traveler (4/5): 4 Star Hotel - I am wondering how this hotel is rated as a 4 star hotel! The room is old-dated and has no air conditioning system in a very hot month. There is no security locker, so you need to curry with you your valuable things. There is not a fridge on the room. However, the bright side of the stay that they have free parking spots and good stuff.

- Verified traveler (2/5): very bad hotel - the hotel room is very cold in summer time because sometimes in summer Munich, the outside temperatures are cold only 10 degree centigrade. but the heater does not not work in summer time at all. we asked hotel to provide electricity heater, but I am shocked that they do not even have one. the location of the hotel is very bad, 1.5 km walk from nearest train station. the hotel facilities are too old. I regret having booked this hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A really excellent and delightful little hotel. Great cleanliness, breakfast buffet, pleasant little restaurant, extremely nice and helpful people. Do stay there! However, there are a couple of issues: The internet is very slow and there are no window screens or air conditioning, or fans in the room, so if, as I did, you stay there at the odd time when it gets really hot in Munich ... and may be attending a nearby trade show with a lot of business people at the hotel who all use the internet, you may not be so happy.
- Verified traveler (4/5): stay away - The room did not have an AC; it was pretty hot when I was there, and hence quite difficult to sleep. Their WiFi was horrible: at night, it was essentially un-usable: it would break down every few minutes, and it was extremely slow. I suppose this is because the hotel has limited bandwidth, and everyone wanted to use it at night. I had to wake up early in the morning, just to be able to work. It turned out I had no choice anyway, because shades let most of the sun light through, so the sun would wake me up before 6am every day anyway. One day I put a "do not disturb" sign in the morning; the guy who was cleaning the rooms decided to knock anyway at 11am, because he had to leave the hotel by 1pm, so he was wondering if he could "clean my room really quick". The room also did not have a safe; instead, they had a safe at the main desk, but the safe they had was shared among all the guests (you couldn't get your own locker). I ended up taking most of my valuables with me while I was walking around Munich. I really do not understand who, and how, and why gave this hotel 4 stars: this is HIGHLY misleading: one expects MUCH more from a 4 star hotel in most other places around the world. It wasn't particularly cheap either. I will definitely not be staying there again, and I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone either. On a good side, the breakfast was quite good, and the hotel staff was generally quite friendly.

- Endre (8/5): - The local area is mostly industrial with offices, car dealership and like, after 5-6pm it drops dead. There aren't many restaurants nearby - it takes a bit of a research even to find a food store. The hotel is otherwise more than OK, from swimming pool and sauna to the breakfast selection and the restaurant in the basement. The only one serious problem (hence my 4/5 overall rating) is that although the hotel is entirely non-smoking, they do allow smokers literally just to step out of the hotel and light up their cigs there in front of the main entry gate. The hotel even supports that practice with ashtrays placed there. I couldn't miss the smokers a single time whenever I came or went, there was no way not to "enjoy" their stinking clouds of smoke. :-(

- Robert (8/5): Nice hotel close to train stations - Very nice, clean hotel in a residential neighborhood. Comfortable room, not that big but it was fine. Nice bathroom, shower etc. room service with fresh towels daily (if required). Very polite and friendly staff. Nice restaurant with good food and good service (average hotel prices). Very close to train stations (U-Bahn 700 meters and S-Bahn 1000 meters) to get to anywhere around the city. Only 2 complaints: 1. The pool was a little bit cold for my liking. Maybe it's just my preference for something a bit warmer, but I had to get out before I would have preferred because I could feel the cold getting into my bones after about 20 mins. 2. I ordered room service one night. I didn't enjoy the meal that I ordered (pork), but that's fine, you take a chance whenever you order food. I contacted reception on the phone and (politely) asked the night clerk if I could have the half-eaten tray of food collected or if I could leave it outside the door to be collected. He told me that it wasn't part of his responsibilities, and that I would have to leave the tray in my room until the next shift started at 6am the next morning. This was at 10.30pm, when the restaurant was still serving. I wasn't feeling well after eating the food and the smell in the room wasn't helping. The night clerk was not friendly. I also went down to reception to make sure there was not a mis-understanding, but the result was the same. Overall, I'd recommend the hotel, a great base to explore the city.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Hotel Am Moosfeld - The hotel is a five minute walk from the U Bahn, but if you phone they will send a shuttle to pick you up. The reception staff are brilliant and very helpful with providing tourist information. My room was spotlessly clean, the bed was excellent and the WiFi service was very good. An exceptional buffet breakfast is served and the evening meals at the pub/restaurant are excellent. All considered this is a hotel that is genuinely worth making an effort to stay at
- Thomas (8/5): Nice Hotel, but Internet needs improvement - The hotel is very nice. The location is in the middle of a safe neighborhood, and it's about 3/4 mile from the underground subway. The room is nice, simple, and clean. It does not have A/C so it could be a problem in the summer. Also the breakfast is very good. The only problem was the Internet. The WiFi worked on occasion, and when it did work it only gave access to my Ipad and not my laptop.
- Verified traveler (10/5): A Nice Hotel. - My stay at this hotel for a week was most pleasant and problem free, I found the staff welcoming and always helpful. The room I had was spacious and cleaned daily and the Breakfast buffet on offer was extensive and tasty. The hotel is on a quiet suburban street and although it isn't central there is a train station a few minutes away which takes you to the centre with ease.
- B (2/5): Hotel Am Moosfeld - really 2 stars - Hotel Am Moosfeld is in a residential area and a long walk from the nearest Metro station. I chose this as it was near to the Messe Conference centre. Location Whilst near on the metro, the long walk made this not worth it and it would have been better to stay in the centre. There was nothing to do nearby.. Room The room was small and the décor very dated. The bed was unconfortable and too hot with heating on all the time and no temperature control so I had to leave the window open. The wifi was pay only although you could use wired internet. There were no tea and coffee facilities in the room. I did ask for a tray but was denied. This alone would have prevented me booking. Eating I only ate breakfast there. Whilst there was a good selection, the quality was poor. The sausages were foul and bread hard and stale. Gymn I used this once and it was fairly basic Whilst officially rated 4 stars I would only give this 2 stars and would not return
- Kent (8/5): Comfortable & great food. A so so neighborhood - My wife, dog, and I spent one night in the Hotel Am Moosfeld. We ate dinner in the hotel's restaurant. The food was excellent and very good value for the money. Unfortunately, we were unable to try the hotel's breakfast. The neighborhood is residential on the edge of an industrial area. A nearby building appeared to be used to house male refugees who were milling about near the hotel until the police arrived.
- Alan (10/5): Great hotel in quiet area. - This hotel is a favorite of ours from our recent European vacation! It is about a 5 minute walk from metro. From there, you are downtown in just a few stops. We loved the location because it was quiet and peaceful. The pool and sauna were great, and the breakfast was fantastic. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We took a night train to Munich and ended up getting to the hotel around 8:00am. The normal checkin time is 3pm, but because the rooms were available, they let us check in early. We were able to shower and even have breakfast before going back out to enjoy the city. We will definitely stay here if we ever come back to Munich. We rented two rooms for the four of us, and everyone agreed this was an awesome place to stay.

Rooms and beds are small but clean, 700m walk to the train station and hotel offers a free mini van service to the station that takes you to the airport, which a 15-20 min train ride. No AC in room but wasn't really required late September.
