- Jason C (9/5): A great base in the L.A. area to explore the Venice Beach area etc. - The location is great, close to the beach and an easy walk to numerous restaurants, etc. Not necessarily a complaint, but the room is a bit dated, particularly the carpet.
- David (8/5): - Views, and proximity to Mother's beach were great. Balconies etc sunny to 3 or 4pm (may). Great location with plenty of available Ubers etc. No breakfast, and shop next door has closed without nearby alternative. Check out 11.00pm and check in 4.00pm were fairly inflexible
- David (8/5): - Whilst the rooms are a little basic, but clean, the locations is superb. bars walkable, or Uber is well available/ Cheesecake factory bar/restaurant next door has everything, but not as cheap as Venice. was our 3rd/3th visit to same hotel. Only shame was off license/shop next door is now closed, so a way to get extras No safe, no cleaning unless you ask, but neither were a problem

- Xavier (9/5): Pas mal du tout ! - L’emplacement est parfait à deux pas de Venice beach, la petite plage et la marina devant l’hôtel donne un vrai côté vacances. Le personnel est sympa et les boissons chaudes gratuite sont un plus agréable. Un peu vétuste, vieille moquette qui sent encore la clope …. Et la robinetterie n’aurait pas fait 1 semaine de plus ! Mais sinon tout était fonctionnel
- Suzanne (6/5): Exactly what I needed but not for everyone - Location adjacent to Marina, walks, view from balcony, low price, nice staff and free parking - perfect for me. Great coffee shop 6 minute walk away. In 3 nights no one cleaned the room but it was ok. Fridge & microwave malfunctions but I managed. Public beach outside had noisy machinery cleaning early and 2 homeless people were camping on the beach which was both sad and a little scary.
- A__0 (7/5): Séjour très agréable ! - L'emplacement de l'hôtel au sein de la marina et surtout directement sur la plage, la vue est magnifique quel plaisir de se réveiller avec cette vue et ce calme. Le fait que le parking soit gratuit (ce qui est rare à LA et notamment dans cette zone). Lit confortable, chambre de bonne taille, bon rapport qualité-prix. La salle de bain qui mériterait une modernisation. Mais si je devais revenir séjourner à LA je reviendrais très clairement dans cet établissement !
- eric (5/5): C'est mieux que rien mais faites attention au prix indiqué avant de procéder au paiement. - La literie, l'emplacement près de Venice et Santa Monica Vue très moche sur le parking, pas de petit déjeuner, rapport qualité / prix décevant. Et surtout, le prix indiqué AVANT paiement n'est pas le même que celui qu'on découvre avec stupéfaction et colère APRES paiement, car une ''autre '' taxe est venue gonfler la facture de 23,88 $. Le client a donc le sentiment de s'être fait plumer sans son consentement. Booking devrait être clair là-dessus.

Good enough that I’d stay there again. The property needed a lot of cosmetic updates. Some of the rooms had been updated, but not ours. Ours still had old musty carpet. No coffee makers in the room; only a single pod machine in the lobby.

Half the rooms have cool views of the marina -- I got one on the other side but a cool little patio. And the room was HUGE. Big plus there! The facilities are in need of an upgrade, which I hope they get - but even shy of that, the location and price are so great it's worth putting up with some infrastructure issues.

- Paulina (10/5): Beautiful views in exceptional location - The location is everything!!!! In Marina del Rey,I was woken up by beautiful sunrise,palm trees and marina. It’s 6 minutes from Venice beach driving. The staff is very friendly and helpful,room was beautiful,spacious and exceptionally clean- huge thank you to Maria :) I asked for a blue room and I got one,highly appreciated. Parking is spacious and free. Two small things ; - I had to pay deposit upon arrival 100$ and they only accept cards,I only had cash on me so I had to make a trip to ATM but they give it back to you the next day. I don’t understand why they didn’t take cash but it’s hotels policy I guess. Just wish I knew sooner before I arrived since they don’t put this information anywhere. However not a deal breaker at all. - The noise can be little bit annoying at certain times. I came on Sunday and I had some pretty loud and noisy neighbors below me and I could hear absolutely everything same like people outside. However it only lasted till around 11 pm later on it was peace and quiet. I would definitely go back if I’m staying in LA next time

Poor room facilities, microwave & fridge but no utensils. No kettle (but staff organised a coffee machine). Could do with some TLC

- Tony (10/5): quiet and relaxing. - the room and view were amazing. the location was absolutely perfect. bed was comfortable and the room was very nicely updated etc. The property was very basic. No amenities such as breakfast or vending machines etc but that was fine with me, everything you need is walking distance.

- PeeJay71 (5/5): Not worth it's money! - De locatie is top met een mooi zicht, er was koffie en water in de receptie en het bed was comfortabel. Er is ook een frigo aanwezig in de kamer wat wel handig is. De mensen aan de receptie waren allemaal wel vriendelijk. Het is een verouderd hotel met zeer weinig comfort. Als je houdt van een hete douche, vergeet het dan maar, het water werd amper warm, zeer oud tapijt niet super hygienisch dus. Het terras straat kant is lawaaierig en dus niet zeer rustig. All in all het is maar 1 ster waardig en de prijs is dan ook iets te hoog voor de kwaliteit dat je krijgt.

- Susanna (10/5): Perfect location - My husband and I prefer modest accommodations. The Foghorn was wonderful for those who enjoy the same. The location was exceptional! The facility is older. Everything was in good working condition, clean and quiet. The staff were friendly and available. Coffee was available in the lobby, but ran out of supplies on busy mornings.

- Grzegorz (3/5): Poor quality, terrible stink, redecoration required! - The only positive aspects for the object are it’s localisation close to Marina Del Rey and Venice Beach as well as contact with personel who is really helpful. It’s difficult to indicate anything positive besides of those two. I was travelling across the US West Coast for 3 weeks and had an opportunity to sleep in 8 different objects. The quality of Foghorn Harbour was definitely the lowest out of all of them (including simple Motels in the middle of nowhere). Room requires strong renovation. A lot of elements of decors are damaged, walls should have been painted long time ago, air vent covers are totalny messy and full of disgusting dust (as well as A/C). Through entire stay there was a terrible stink in the room impossible to air out. Terrace doors located from the street side at the ground floor had damaged lock that was replaced by the hook bolted with two tiny screws- we have been afraid to leave our suitcases unsupervised - even a kid could easily force the lock from outside. Presence of homeless people at the front doors was tolerated by personel, while it was really disgusting - especially when having a room from the street side.
