We booked a club room and it lacked smart TV and coffee machine. Changed the room the next day and got an upgrade. Many thanks to Panashe from Reception. Unfortunately, in the new room 1602 the bed smelled extremely like urine. Reported it to Reception. In the evening, the bed continued to stink. Had to take out the pad itself and this one was yellow from urine. Had these changed. The cleaner changed it, but the room door was left open when we got back. We had at the table the valuable Nintendo console worth 600 €. You can't do that. The swimming pool was pleasantly warm, but whirlpool extremely hot. Reported it, hopefully it works now. The Club Lounge was also closed due to Ramadan. We asked for free drinks to the room twice at reception and unfortunately received none. On the day of departure I had to look for the clothes from the cleaning, but got them back in time from the departure. I've never had so many problems in a hotel. Too bad.

- Rothwellians (10/5): Great staff, good food and a great rooftop pool. - Was a bit disappointed on arrival at the area and outside looks of hotel as was unexpectedly moved from an originally booked hotel. But the inside is interesting and clean and the food was great. The staff were wonderful. I left my phone in a taxi and within minutes Solomon got it returned to me so thanks so much for that. So reassuring along with other concierge staff, along with the politeness of all the staff made it an enjoyable stay. Rooftop pool was lovely.

- shooshs2026 (2/5): Disappointing cleanliness and service - Disappointing cleanliness and service Unfortunately, my stay was let down by several issues. The bathroom sink looked unpleasant, with visible stains that clearly couldn’t be scrubbed away, and the water drainage was blocked, causing the sink to drain very slowly. Breakfast was average, but the cleanliness was again a concern. The coffee mugs were dirty, as if they hadn’t been washed properly. I tried taking two different mugs and both had visible coffee stains. When I raised these concerns with the receptionist, his reaction was unprofessional, he laughed as if I was joking, which was quite annoying and dismissive. To his credit, he did offer to change the room, subject to availability, but the overall experience left a poor impression. Cleanliness and staff attitude need significant improvement.

- emmanueljrtayaoo (4/5): Helpful Staff, Unacceptable Room Experience - The only positive aspects of this stay were the Filipina receptionist and the Filipino concierge staff, both of whom were polite, helpful, and professional in responding to our inquiries. Aside from that, the experience was unacceptable. I specifically booked a non-smoking room, yet the room smelled strongly of cigarettes. This is a basic standard that the hotel failed to enforce. Even worse, the room had poor to no soundproofing. Other occupants could clearly hear our normal conversations, including simple talking and the sound of doors closing. This is a serious privacy issue and made the stay uncomfortable. Management needs to take immediate action to enforce non-smoking policies and improve room soundproofing. This level of quality does not meet reasonable guest expectations.

- R5791LZscottg (2/5): Avoid! Poor value for money. - Location in center of city, noisy, dirty - terrible. Hotel is very old, very tired, worn & simply avoid at all costs. This is not a 4star hotel. Maybe in 1980 it was 4star. Restaurants - Italian is ok. The rest awful, breakfast, poor selection & cold. Gastro pub is more like an underground hovel, serving fried food only. Even the lobby smells. I was upgraded to 16th suite floor, room is big & roomy! Roof was leaking, bed is terrible, the decor is sooo outdated. Staff are nice & very helpful. Afraid I will never be back & this is a poor image of the millennium brand. At the price tag & allegedly 4stars, avoid & find something else.

Asked for a pan which was delivered 3 hours later, requested for take away breakfast which was not organised, requested for luggage pickup and ordered taxi which was not done. After i sent my reviews was asked to send an email to the FO manager without any replies.

- souada518 (4/5): Old and poorly maintained Hotel. - The room assigned to me was filled with mold and a strong dust odor, which immediately triggered an allergic reaction and caused a severe headache. As someone who suffers from asthma, I had a difficult time staying in that hotel. Although the reception staff were kind and tried to offer another room, the hotel itself is extremely old and poorly maintained.

When I came back from my tour Arnel was so helpful & he helped take my suitcase to my room was very informative & friendly. It made my stay to have that attentiveness. Overall, we felt the hotel is complete in every sense of the word, very well equipped everyone whether it be a solo traveller or a large group. For Anita (S&M) and Abdullah (Events) no request is too much to accommodate. When we were checking is a part of 50 rooms, 150 persons group, Front Office Team - very well lead by Front Office Manager Mostafa and ably assisted by Naeem, Kim, Nouman, Arhwin, Rajin and Shakti made our check-in and related chores very smooth. Kudos to you guys. At the restaurants and banquets, Chef Rupesh Tambe is omnipresent. His zeal and enthusiasm towards attending to guests needs are fantastic. Nothing is a problem for him and he goes out of his way to accommodate guests needs. He is backed by excellent F&B service team lead by Mahfouz and assisted by thorough gentlemen - Abdelhamid, Ayoub, Ahmed and their respective team members in restaurants and banquets. Housekeeping is immaculate too with superb cleanliness and excellent amenities. Thanks to Sanjay, Rahul, Rohit and Anita. We are sure, there's a big team support all of the above from behind the scenes and wanted to thank them too. The best and noteworthy part that I found in this hotel, as a hotelier, is that the management is closely involved in the operations and are actually on the floor leading their respective teams. I think this is the recipe to their success in ensuring seamless operations. The Area General Manager - Andrea, Hotel Manager - Nora and Executive Chef - Kanchan took time out to meet us and sought out reviews so you see, the culture starts right at the top! Well done to Team Millennium Downtown Abu Dhabi from Mr Salim Anjum Siddiqui and all his guests who stayed here. Suggestions: More efficient elevators with the 4th one operational. More soft skills and pressure handling training to the shop floor level team members.

Special thanks to Mahfous, who was extremely attentive, genuine, and showed remarkable attention to detail throughout our dining experience. He truly made us feel valued as guests. Our Reservation Agent, Namn, deserves recognition as well very accommodating with a warm welcome and impeccable service right from the start. Our server Kyar was friendly, efficient, and made sure everything was served perfectly. His service added to the wonderful atmosphere of the evening. Abdel, the Shift Leader, was also amazing checking in to ensure we were fully satisfied and enjoying the evening. And of course, Chef Rupesh went above and beyond! Renovation needed. - the hotel is in dire need for renovation. there's a bad smell almost everywhere; the bathroom ceiling was dripping, the storage unit had a broken leaf, the gym AC wasn't working well and the equipment handles smelled, and some of the equipment wasn't working. Breakfast wasn't culturally diverse. However, the hotel team are very nice, helpful, decent and friendly.

No trolley services were provided for the luggage carrying. I carried myself my luggage and found out the room.nobody accompanied us to show the rooms. Reception service was also poor. Car parking facilities was also very poor.

- karensP4342FQ (8/5): Great family holiday - Stayed at the Millennium Hotel Downtown Abu Dhabi. Had a wonderful stay, the hotel was great and had a fantastic location. Close to anywhere we wanted to go, with no shortage of taxi. The staff are brilliant and helpful. The pool area is beautiful and spotless with lovely food being delivered poolside. Big shout out to our housekeeping girl Su Mar, she was just brilliant at keeping our room clean and topping us up with fresh towels/ water/tea & coffee essentials.

Dilki was very professional and made our dinning experience very memorable. She made Sure we were comfortable. Her obliging nature in ensuring not only us but other dinners was very impressive. Next day ,when we went for breakfast, Dilki was once again entertained us with her pleasant smile and made sure we were well taken care. We really were overwhelmed by her hospitality.
