- Mahela Munasinghe (7/5): Great for a budget stay in the heart of New York - Good, attentive staff. Shout out to Caesar who mans the restaurant in the mornings! He's so cheerful and warm. And very helpful! Front office staff were helpful too. Before coming i read reviews saying previous customers had to wait a long time for the lifts (aka elevators) . This is partially true if you use the lifts during peak hours (eg. Around breakfast time) but otherwise we didn't have to wait more than a few minutes for the lifts to arrive. The lifts themselves are fast but the hotel has only two of them which is why you sometimes have to wait a bit longer. Also.. the rooms are smaller than they look in the photos but if you're using the hotel just to get some rest in between a packed schedule, that doesn't really matter. Staying on the 7th floor, We weren't disturbed too much by the constant sirens new york is famous for.

We cant even finish food. More party keeps coming. At least a staff is needed to accept diners to control the guest crowd.

Hotel très bien situé (proche métro) Personnel aimable. hôtel très calme Belle chambre adaptée pour deux personnes, avec un lit très confortable. Le ménage est effectué quotidiennement. L’hôtel est idéalement situé, à proximité du métro. Le personnel est accueillant et l’établissement est particulièrement calme.

While there was some cheese available, the overall selection was narrow and repetitive — mostly sweet, carb-heavy items like waffles, muffins, and toast. Fresh vegetables were completely absent; no tomatoes, no cucumbers, nothing green. For a hotel catering to international visitors, a more inclusive and balanced spread would go a long way. Overall, breakfast felt like an afterthought. Kahvaltı beklentilerin oldukça altında kaldı. Peynir bulunmasına karşın genel seçki dar ve tekdüeydi; waffle, muffin ve tost gibi tatlı-hamur ağırlıklı ürünler öne çıkıyordu. Taze sebzelere dair hiçbir şey yoktu — domates, salatalık, yeşillik, zeytin — hiçbiri. Kahvaltı, otel deneyiminin en keyifsiz parçası oldu.

- Megan (8/5): It was more than we expected for the proce we paid and worked perfectly for what we needed! - The room was small but clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful and friendly and the breakfast was fantastic! There were so many food choices available! We had to go to numerous floors before finding a barely working ice machine. Then the ice we got deposited black residue in our drinks so we couldn't use it.

- 746jennib (2/5): Noisy with unreliable lifts - The only good thing about the hotel is the staff. We went during a period when they were placing new mattresses and removing old ones. Any other hotel would have closed during that period because it was ridiculous trying to get in a lift. The lifts are not good enough for that size a hotel. There is not enough dining space either. But by far the worst thing about this hotel is the noise at night. I complained twice hoping to be moved to a better room. There was a very loud ac out of the window and I got no sleep. I would advise anyone to avoid the hotel, the only good thing is the kitchen staff

- Jean (9/5): Great location - The location was good and the beds were comfortable, the room was a little small for 4 people to move around in and not much storage for clothes but for 2 nights was OK for us, after all it's only for sleeping in. The staff were all friendly and helpful. This isn't a criticism the hotel is undergoing alterations and having new mattresses so the lifts were being used to transport them up obviously so you just had to call reception when you needed to use it. Having said that it was there quick enough and the maintenance guy(didn't catch his name) was so friendly.

Cerca del metro y de la estación Penn Station de tren que conecta con el aeropuerto y otras ciudades. Las habitaciones justas para cuatro personas pero muy limpias y cómodas. Desayuno incluido. César de los desayunos una persona súper amable. En recepción también muy amables y dispuestos a ayudar. Pequeña nevera en la habitación. Dentro de lo caros que son los hoteles en New York precio razonable El día que nos íbamos estaban cambiando los colchones de las habitaciones aunque personalmente el nuestro estaba muy bien. Solo 2 ascensores para todo el hotel. A la mañana a la hora del desayuno un poco saturados pero como en todos los sitios.

- BillyL53 (8/5): Great Location and Very Quiet - Great location. Make a left, left on 8th Ave and subway entrance is one block away on 40th. The subway is totally practicable. I went to Yankee Stadium one day, went to the Staten Island ferry one day and lots of other adventures in my week here. I was on the 30th floor and it was totally quiet. Staff was very helpful, especially Cesar in the breakfast room. Breakfast was pretty good and free. I was on my own and my room was pretty small with a kingsized bed. That is my only criticism.

Wir waren vor 2 Jahren im Hyatt Place direkt gegenüber und das kann ich einfach nur weiterempfehlen. Dieses Hotel hat nix mit einem Hotel zutun und das es noch zur Hilton Gruppe gehört ist für dieses Gruppe beschämend. Kind hat vom Duschwasser eine Ohrinfektion bekommen. Im Kühlschrank die Essensreste vom Vormieter oder doch schon Vorvorvormieter?

It was within walking distance to Times Square, and the staff was amazingly. No, we’re just a few maintenance issues that could’ve been tidied up. Both doors were falling off of their hinges.

- Lea Danielle (8/5): Great location and nice rooms - The place is simple and good. It has all you need. Room gets cleaned everyday. Breakfast is very simple but alright. The location is amazing. The elevator situation is awful in the morning. Waiting time can be up to 30 minutes.
- Q4123SDnehas (10/5): Humanity above a business process - Kudos to Saud, Susana and Rixon in the business office. Our family had a tragedy. Our cousin who was visiting the United States for a few days with his wife had booked a non refundable room through Expedia for 3 nights. However he tragically passed away during the vacation but before his visit to NYC. When we first approached Expedia they refused to cancel and refund the reservation. We called the Hampton Inn directly and Saud did an exceptional and prompt job placing humanity over a business process and along with his superiors assisted a full and complete refund. The returned funds went a long way to help the grieving family fund a funeral in USA and facilitate carrying the cremated ashes back to their home country. Kudos to the hotel management team for their timely assistance.
- Ritz3 (4/5): Book with caution - Good location, friendly and helpful staff. Previous reviews regarding the concerns with the elevators were right. We stayed on the 9th floor and ended up taking the stairs down with our suitcases because we could not catch an empty elevator or one that we would fit in, going up or down. We stayed in a double bed room. The room was SMALL!!!! the hotel in general was small. Breakfast area is small. We happen to arrive at the right time and were able to grab a table. The staff making the waffles was helpful. He made sure to take our order and bring waffle to our table.

The furniture is outdated and needs renovation. There is often congestion in the elevators during breakfast time, and the breakfast area is quite small and crowded.

Le petit déjeuner est correct avec du choix et des gaufres réalisées à la demande. Le système de chauffage/climatisation est très bruyant ce qui m'a obligé à le couper pour la nuit. - Sandra (10/5): Maravillosa - La ubicación buenisima, a unos 10 minutos de time square, lo que mas me gusto fue el buen desayuno que tienen y el super buen trato del cocinero que hace los gofres que es muy servicial, rapido y agradable, todo el día hay cafe gratis y unas mesas donde puedes llevarte comida de fuera y comer, relacion calidad precio es genial. Lo unico que no me gusto fue que en la ducha no había manguera, solo salia el Agua de arriba y para las mujeres te mojas el pelo.

- Katrin (7/5): Für NYC-Verhältnisse top! - Die Lage war super zentral, Subway eine Straße weiter. Cesar hat tolle Waffeln gemacht und war sehr sehr zuvorkommend. Von unserem Zimmer im 28. Stock konnte man sogar das Empire State Building sehen! Das flackernde Licht im Fahrstuhl war sehr unangenehm. Die Zimmerkarten sind etwas veraltet und funktionieren nicht immer. Der Frühstücksraum könnte größer und sauberer sein, wobei das vor allem an den Gästen liegt, die ihre Tische oftmals sehr ekelhaft hinterlassen.

- waynecook1969 (4/5): Excellent reception staff, dreadful customer service - We booked Mon to Fri on this hotel and due to the snow storm that hit New York, our flights were cancelled for 48 hours. We instantly telephoned the hotel, and spokento a lovely lady who told us, that if we spoke to Expedia, who we had booked through, that we could get the dates rearranged. Expedia were excellent and said there was no problem with this and they would let the hotel know. They replied within minutes and told us that Saud a supervisor at the hotel had point blank refused any changes to our booking, despite it being completely our of our hands. So having paid for the trip we were able to take just 2 nights in the hotel. As for the hotel, the staff on front desk are so good, couldn't really do enough for you. The rooms were OK, clean and tidy, however the heating system was broken on our room 403, and blew cold air throughout our stay and world just turn on randomly throughout the night and was so noisy. After our booking fiasco, we changed hotels to another hotel 2 blocks away and have to say, have been treated so much better in terms of our booking. Let's say we won't be using Hilton again,

Ospiti scalzi e seminudi nelle zone comuni, oltre che palesemente sozzi. Chiedono di trattenere una bella caparra e a tutt'oggi non mi è stata restituita

- Arami (7/5): Good just to spend a night or two. - The location was perfect, everything was close. The bed was comfortable. The room was small but since we didn’t spend a lot of time there, it was ok. The breakfast was great, but the breakfast area was very small for the amount of people. And without lying we water HALF AN HOUR for the elevator lol. The hotel was so full that we couldn’t fit into the elevator so we had to wait for half an hour.

- LBrot (5/5): Aceptable - Lo mejor del hotel es la ubicación y el personal. Las habitaciones son lindas, amplias y cómodas. También ponen café y agua caliente todo el día a disposición del huésped y por lo que vi algunos dias (o todos no sabría bien) ponen de cortesía alguna galleta El lugar de desayuno es muy pequeño para la cantidad de gente que alberga el hotel. Son 30 pisos de habitaciones y un lugar para que desayunen 30 personas. A veces tenías que esperar que se libere un asiento para poder desayunar. El desayuno en si tampoco es muy variado, ponen dos tipos de frutas, un poco de harinas como waffles, pan y muffins y huevo cocinado. Lo otro malo es que son dos ascensores para todos, huespedes y personal, por lo que podes demorar 10 minutos esperando a que llegue el ascensor y no sabes si podes subir o no dependiendo que tan lleno va. Otro punto malo a destacar, y este es mas que nada mas personal, fue que tuvimos la cancelación del vuelo por clima y debíamos llamar para reprogramar el vuelo y el hotel no tenia ningún teléfono a disposición para que podamos hacer esa llamada nacional (y urgente), las opciones que nos dieron fueron que vayamos a una oficina de la aerolínea (la cual fuimos y era inexistente) o que compremos un chip en una tienda la cual estaba cerrada. Y nos dejaron sin una solución para un tema tan urgente e imprescindible.
