- Tara (8/5): Super convenient. The kids loved the pool. Fantastic location. - We've almost always stayed at the Oaks on Castlereagh. It's just what you need. Has great views. Is in the middle of everything. Very convenient location if you're going to see a show at the Capitol theatre. Simple and easy check in and out. Safe and secure. Clean and tidy, really can't complain. It's not ultra mod or fancy however has everything you need. Great for families with generous sized apartments. Can't complain when you have a balcony to enjoy what's going on outside and parking. Parking does cost $55 though but at least your car is safe and it would cost more to park on the street or in the parking stations. Can't complain whatsoever. Usually when we pay for parking, we pay for 24hours so in the past we've always been able to check out and leave our car in the car park until later. We like to go for a bite to eat or last minute shop before leaving to go home. I always ask of course and there's no problem. Once again, told reception staff we were going to pack our car and go for out for some food etc, we'll be back a little later to collect our car. At first she said that she didn't think that was possible, that she would check. She asked how long were we going to be gone. We answered not too long definitely before 2 though. She asked us to come back in just an hour or two. She was lovely there was nopthing wrong with her customer service skills. However given we paid $55 for the carpark one would only assume you get to have it for 24hours.

The bed and long pillows wasn't comfortable for me- personal preference as hubby likes it. Hotel is close to train station, so if you are a light- sleeper you might need to reconsider as it is audible from 15th floor.

- Jaz (1/5): Never. Ever. Again. Ever. - Lovely staff Absolutely appalled by our stay at Oaks Sydney Castlereagh Suites last night. We stayed here while attending The Lion King Musical at Capitol Theatre, and while the location was convenient (only a short walk to the theatre), unfortunately that is one of the only positives I can really say about this hotel. The staff themselves were lovely and very polite, but everything else was honestly abysmal. Parking was an absolute nightmare. At $55 per night, I expected at minimum clear signage and straightforward access. Instead, the parking garage was tiny, maze-like, extremely difficult to navigate, and the spaces were incredibly tight. There was no clear information about where to go, no signage, and because there was no phone reception in the garage, we couldn’t even contact reception for help. We spent around 20 minutes stuck trying to work out where we were supposed to park and how to turn around in the cramped space, doing multiple-point turns just to move through the garage. It was honestly so stressful it nearly caused me to have a meltdown. Then we got to the room. We were placed in what appeared to be a dual apartment setup — room 558, with two separate apartments inside (558A and 558B). The same key unlocked the main entry door AND our apartment door, meaning our key would also allow access to the neighbouring apartment, and vice versa. That felt incredibly unsafe and unsettling. The cleanliness of the room was honestly unacceptable. - The shower grout was covered in mould in multiple colours — black, red and yellow — running from the floor almost to the ceiling. - There was mould in the bathroom sink and around the tiles outside the shower. - The fridge seal had mould all through it. - The floors clearly hadn’t been vacuumed properly and there were bits of debris throughout the room. - The carpets were heavily stained. - High surfaces and the air-conditioning vent were coated in thick dust. - The kitchenette was not clean.

It was SO NOISY with trains going past what seemed like every 5 minutes. The streets were also very noisy with people yelling out to each other, sirens consistently going past etc. We were exhausted by the end of our 2 night stay. I would NOT recommend staying here if you want a good sleep.

- Bruno (5/5): Great location - Great location to be in Sydney We felt a little bit dissapointed about value for money.
- Cafer (7/5): - We were on the 27th floor, in a small room that cost more due to the view. The view was only OK, looking towards central station. Friend had a room, with a sitting area, which was double the size, and cheaper on the 20th floor. We should have skipped the ok view, for a far bigger room.

- Pardeep (10/5): Location - The hotel is in the middle of Museum and Central station, walking distance to both. Near Hyde Park. It's a 6-minute walk to Darling Harbour and a 2-minute walk to Paddys market. We had the studio room, which had a small kitchenette if you need it. Room was nice. Hotel is a walking distance to everything. The reception staff were friendly.

- Edna (8/5): The location was excellent within walking distance to supermarket and tram stop. - Nice clean room. Location excellent close to supermarket and trams in George Street. Very friendly staff and very helpful. The cooking facility was terrible. Hot plates and sink in a cupboard???? No bench to prepare meals and sink beside hot plates. Not ideal. There was barely room for a saucepan as well as a fry pan on hot plates. No vegetable knife, only a large knife and had to be careful cutting vegetables. No vegetable peeler. Also the most disappointing factor was the crockery was so high I had to get on a chair to reach them. The microwave was also high and I had to be very careful removing hot plates and food., not very safe. Only 2 small sachets of detergent. I had to buy extra. No cupboard for storing cereals, etc., I put them in a drawer in wardrobe !!!!

- Gordon (10/5): Fantastic! - Just a great stay, fantastic staff, well located, great rooms. Simply really very good. Just a suggestion that management may want to mandate a specific standard that owners have to comply with in order to be in the hotel rental pool. As mentioned it was great, but for example a 32" TV with a set-top box just doesn't do it when you are charging a price that lines up with very top end hotels names. If it was mandated, quality would be consistent.

- Stéphanie (7/5): Proche de la gare Central et de Chinatown - La proximité de la station de train Central. Appartement spacieux Fissure au mur, meuble abimé, carreau fissuré dans la douche, pour un 4 étoiles ce n’est pas terrible.
- Bernard (7/5): Good location and reasonable price. The property is old and due for a major renovation but it was comfortable and in a g - The staff were extremely helpful. The location was perfect for our visit to the Capitol Theatre The first apartment we were put in had a terrible smell. It must have had the carpet cleaned and not properly dried. It was also right beside the garbage chute. The staff gave us an extra air freshener and moved us to a different apartment for the second and third nights so we were very happy about that.
- Simone (10/5): Lovely place to stay if you need to go somewhere close by - It was close to where we were going on the night. The balcony was beautiful to open up and get some fresh air in the room. They also confirmed if I wanted to single beds or if I wanted a double bed. We arrived for check-in around 7 pm, there was only one person on and had to wait around 30 minutes as there were five people before us. I would’ve imagined they would have two people on until check-in closes.

- Jan (7/5): Comfortable and convenient - The bed was very comfortable,. The kitchen was well equipped. The apartment was very spacious. The whole room needed some TLC. There were chips at the bottom of cupboards in the bathroom and closets. There were no USB ports for charging devices.
- Sonja (10/5): It was ok - Our room wasn’t ready so they upgraded us. The hot water didn’t work the morning of checking out so we had to shower in a used room on a different level.
