Guest Reviews
- Raisabelle (9/5): The location is far from the city but the room is old. I like how they clean and change sheets everyday and have an elev -
- Giovanni (7/5): -
- Giuseppe (4/5): Un peccato, ottimo potenziale. - Posizione comoda, soprattutto post collegamento metro c.
- zeray (9/5): I spoke the stuff about the doorbell and they accept it - ood communication all the stuff it was very hard to get in the first date when I came
because the bill doesn't work and the staff they didn't hear
- saccomandi (3/5): Insoddisfatta - La posizione Quasi tutto purtroppo. L hotel vecchio, mai rinnovato. Muri sottili.
- mircea marius adrian (9/5): - Good location and staff.
- Giada (8/5): -
- Piccione (6/5): -
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Joins de la baignoire noirs. Rideaux déchirés. Accueil par 1 des personnels peu professionnel.
- Daniela (10/5): -
- Lucia (6/5): - La struttura è posta in ottima posizione La colazione
- Stefano (6/5): -
- Rafał (8/5): - Obsługa bardzo pomocna , łóżka dość wygodne, śniadania dość smaczne ale raczej na słodko, parę minut do stacji Metra Pigneto, parę krokow do autobusu 105.
- Brian (10/5): - Nice rooftop breakfast and view in the morning.
- Guido (2/5): - Nothing like the photos on the website.
Dust and dirt anywhere.
Can't use the toilet unless seated.
- Nasrin (8/5): - Good
- Jared (8/5): - Very comfortable stay with breakfast and daily house keeping services. Almost all popular attractions were walkable if you don’t mind going a little ways. Great for a solo traveller
- Mario (6/5): - The property rooms are old, old used beds ans pillows… bathroom is really small and the hot water works for 30-45 sec then is cold…it was reported and was not fixed
- Verified traveler (4/5): -
- Harunosuke (8/5): Comfortable - Clean room and quiet terrace No
- Oleksii (1/5): Bad -
- Jakub (7/5): Good -
- Conor (7/5): Good -
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The hotel was good overall, enough for me. The bathroom was really small but that was not a problem. The breakfast could be improved, though.
- Ashiedu (2/5): - they are a catfish hotel. They use fake pictures. Worst bathroom i’ve ever seen. Sleep at the rome termeni station instead of this place
- Steven (3/5): Poor - Location was good for what I was doing. Staff was not friendly. My room smell and the shower was not even marginally past my basic standard (no water pressure, water tank in bathroom leaks, not enough hot water to finish a quick shower, black mold on the floor where the door is)
- Richard (8/5): - The room was very small but adequate. The breakfast was substantial with a good selection
- Daniel (7/5): Good - The staff are very approachable, polite, very accomodating! Maybe its a little bit far from the train station. All in all its great.
- Ersin (3/5): Poor -
- Aprile (4/5): - Normale
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Frühstück eine Frechheit,
Zimmer alles sehr alt und abgewohnt
- Swarnadip (4/5): - Its only good for solo budget traveler. It doesn't look like a hotel more of a Home-Stay... staffs don't speak English. Breakfast was just ok!
- Lorenzo (7/5): Good -
- Roam63702517353 (10/5): Decent place if you are on the go traveller. Staff Barbara is helpful. - It was a great stay for its price. I worked in hotel industry and star wise it deserves the three. It’s close to Termini by train you can choose between two stations to get to Termini but you have to change platform. I always choose €1.50 good for 100 mins. On weekends at station it will be €2.00 however if you go to pop out shop they sell ticket for $1.50. The hotel is decently clean. It doesn’t have much but decent enough to give you a good night sleep. Piece of advice if you book this hotel. If you need something like iron, hairdryer and alike just ask the reception and they are happy to provide. In fact I forgot my phone charger and for three days I was lend with the daughter’s charger. The hotel b/f is simple but common on you are paying €4 you can’t expect anything that will fill you the whole day. But it’s decent meal. The hotel is also close to the pubs and restaurant. It’s not the great avenues however for €50 per night situation agains the €175 per night common use your common sense. Did you expect to buy a cashmere for £10 ??? So me honestly, since when I wake up I just have shower and b/f I would come back to this place. Specially mention for Barbara. She is very accommodating and she in fact woke up at 4 to arrange my taxi to termini at a cot of €17.00
- Ahmet (5/5): Good place if you don't require much - I like how hotel staff was helpful and you can reach the center only using by train. Internet did not work properly. (Especially at nights it stopped working) The were not enough hot water (it was 8.50 am) The hot water lasted like 5 minutes maximum.

- K3337ISjamesw (10/5): A glorious Stay in a Friendly Hotel. - We have just arrived back from a 3 night stay at the Hotel Antico Acquedotto in the suburbs of Rome. Firstly this is our own experience, not to taken in context with the previous reviews. From arrival at the hotel, to our departure, we have nothing but the highest of praise for the hotel and it's extremely welcoming staff, And I hate to single anyone out specifically, but JOLA, you are a STAR. From the first time to the last, her smile and genuinely friendly greeting had you at your ease. Even though she has a basic grasp of English, she would always go above and beyond the chance to be of service to us, especially on our departure. The hotel is not a shiny modern building, but a hotel od character and charm. I requested a balcony for our room, and was pleasantly surprised when we walked in to the room to find a suntrap of a balcony, the room itself had a charm all of its own, the bed was in our opinion, the most comfortable we have ever slept in. The bathroom was small and perfectly adiquat
And very clean, as was the rest of the room, after 24 hours, we agreed it's as if we were house guests in their very own home. Once you except the location as to be less that touristy, it had a charm all of its own, the Metro Pigneto was 7 minutes away, where there was a well stocked supermarket, and 5 minutes away, the best Vegan Restaurant we have ever visited. The metro was easy to navigate and cheap to use. If you wanted to walk, then within say 40 mins you would find yourself within the heart of a stunningly beautiful city. All in all, this was one of the best stays we have ever experienced. Thank you love holidays for a wonderful way to celebrate my wife's birthday.
We are now looking to find a date where we can visit the wonderful hotel in the Autumn. Can I give it an impossible 11 out of 10?.
And too add again, this is our experience and nothing will ever change
Our opinion.
- Adamo (10/5): - Tranquilla e reception simpatica
- K6940PSchristinec (2/5): Do not go here expecting 3 star accommodation because it is a long way away from that. The lady was very rude - We went to the hotel today 2 couples it was in a horrible area of Rome would not have liked to been out at night. The actual hotel was never a 3 star lucky if it got one. The rooms were shabby. The other couples room did not have any towels. We quickly got some more accommodation and walked out it was shocking
- Giorgio (7/5): Good -
- Noel (8/5): A quick getaway to beautiful Rome - A good place to stay in a quite Rome neighbourhood of Pigneto with good restaurants nearby. Wi-Fi slow and poor connection.
- Gabriella (3/5): Poor -
- 916clintons (2/5): Never Again - I will never use this site again. I have never been so uncomfortable in a hotel or a location as I was at Antico Acquedotto. Your website says it has a bar and gym, it has neither, your website also says the room is air conditioned, it is not, they opened the window for us, and we had 2 single beds pushed together to form 1 bed. Also I paid extra for airport transfers, the driver picked up too many people and I had to spend my journey of 1 hour on the floor of his bus because he had no seat for me, no seatbelt, and no handrail to stay balanced, I was all over the floor as he drove. This is ridiculous, and I will never travel with loveHolidays again. I even had to get my own taxi back to the airport because the transfer which I paid for in advance, never showed.
- Otso (7/5): Solid place to stay - Custom service was great! The showers were old fashioned and weird.
- Jakub (8/5): Very good -
- Nicholas (8/5): - Nice stay for a few days in quieter, more residential part of Rome. Still a good number of restaurants around, not touristy. Nice size rooms with air con and fridges. Room serviced each day. Great terraces on top of the building. Breakfast a good spread of cereals and pastries in terrace area.
Only things I would note was that the breakfast is served 7:30-10am not 6:30 as mentioned on Expedia. Also not sure why Expedia says it has a pool, it definitely does not...
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good clean hotel and nice people
- ohsignore (10/5): Great stay - I chose this hotel because it’s not far from my family home and I am very glad I did.
From the first contact via email the staff were incredibly helpful, especially Tiziana who was very kind to accommodate my dietary requirements for breakfast and room type preference.
The hotel is lovely and it’s situated in a residential area of Rome close to town centre yet very local and tourist free.
Thank you once again to the staff and thank you Tiziana for making me feel at home!
- Verified traveler (8/5): -
- Verified traveler (6/5): -
- June (2/5): This place is in Ghettos .very dangerous. - Dirty sheet..horrible experience.
I paid the city tax after total paid including tax.
I heard the siren sound all night.disgusting dirty area.far from the city center.
Subway ticket machine didnt take the paper money.we had to walked to the other station to use that machine.
The woman worker there was very unkind.
No explanation for the city tax.i paid online everything but she charged me the city tax 12euro without explanation.
So dirty experience.
- David (6/5): Could use some updates - When I arrived the night clerk was a Total _sshole gave me the smallest size room and was upset that I arrived late even after I called, for the hotel's sake he left a few days after ( he doesn't work there anymore) the rest of the staff is great
- j (6/5): unexpected esperience - Old and far construction, that needs a renovation
small bed unconfortable matrass, strong , and tiny blanquets, noisy corridors,
and not be cleaned each day.
awfull and dirty ride, imposible to find public transport aroud 600 meters
not really and 3 star hotel, better to rename in turistic bed and break fast hostel
Personale cortese, buona colazione in bella terrazza.
- Deanna (8/5): Comfortable Stay - Although not in an ideal location, it wasn't bad to travel from to see all that Rome has to offer. Found it really easy to get to the Colloseum, Vatican, Trevi Fountain etc....I think I managed to see quite a lot in the 9 days I was there. Two ladies on the staff spoke really good English and was extremely friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions on what to do. Breakfast - good variety: cereal, bread to make your own toast or sandwiches (cheese, toms, cucumber supplied), bread rolls, individually wrapped croissants filled with jam. The only thing I didn't like was the tiled flooring - I found it quite cold, especially in the mornings. Housekeeping I would rate as very good, always a clean bale of towels when I returned at the end of the day. Bathroom clean. The room is small (I travelled alone), but if you're only looking to rest your head after a long day, it's perfect. TV had two channels with English speaking programmes, enough for me as my favourite American shows were airing,
- Sanne (6/5): Basis hotel - Het hotelpersoneel was erg aardig.
- Ambra (6/5): Soggiorno gradevole - Camera singola grande, in buone condizioni, pulita e dotata di tutti i servizi necessari. Letto matrimoniale molto comodo. Personale gentile.
- Judy (4/5): disappointment - We had to park our van by a closed bar and did not feel that the neighborhood was "safe"
- Magali (4/5): tiny tiny room but hotel OK - Old school hotel with old decoration, old design and old facilities. The person at the reception only spoke italian and no other language... hard to communicate.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Basic, but perfectly acceptable - Not the best location - reasonably close to centre but cut off by rail tracks and nothing much (e.g. bars, restaurants) in immediate vicinity. Direct tram to main rail station.
Room adequate (en-suite bath even though description said shared). Good a/c.
Breakfast buffet low-end but edible, staff friendly, no problems.
- Saschapraha (8/5): The best hotel in Rome for this price near trendy Pigneto area. - For ten years I am on and off in this hotel with friendly staff, clean and quiet (not on the ground level though) rooms, a simple breakfast on the roof terrace (a bit cold in winter), tv and fridge near this cheap and trendy neighborhood called Pigneto.
Just a few stops from Termini by bus or tram. Wifi off course. Try Pigneto winebar and opposite pizzeria on the corner of via Perugia or coffeehouse Necci (from 1924 popular day and night) on walking distance!!
- Antonios (6/5): Alternative Rome Hotel - It is located a bit off centre, but with very good transport links, bus stop 3 min walk, and most important tram line same distance in 13 min u are into Termini Station. Room was nice, sort of old-fashioned Roman villa in upmarket neighborhood, breakfast was poor, ambiance chill-out.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ok cheap hotel - Hotel was miles from the centre, certainly not walking distance(about 15 euros taxi to some of the sights)
Was near a tram stop but we didn't use that during our stay.
Hotel was clean and tidy, staff were friendly and helpful.
Rooms had air conditioning.
Breakfast was juice, coffee, cereal, yoghurt and an assortment of preserved/packet foods ie crispy toast, biscuits, croissants and that cheese you put on burgers.
In a nutshell bad area, bad breakfast, but hotel and staff are good, what do you expect for a budget price
- Maxim (10/5): The best deal you can get in a budget. - I was more than satisfied. This hotel gives you a room with a bed and bathroom. But in addition you get your own small terrace. They have free wifi and breakfast. Now you aren't going to get help from the staff about where to eat or how to get to tours or anything like that. But you are only four stops from the main train station in Rome. There you can take sightseeing tours find places to eat, etc. The room even has a small fridge, so in case you get hungry you can bring back eats, in case you get hungry. The room even has a small television, but I did not watch much tv. If you are on a budget, then this is your hotel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Please read this before going. - My room was very very small. Otherwise, it was fine. Clean, had AC. Not all single rooms are this small as I got to see several rooms within the hotel - Seems hit and miss what you get.
**** On leaving, they will charge you for any drinks you drink from the room - they dont warn you this until you leave. They also charge you for "rome tax" which is 2 euros per night - it is said that it is included in the price, but they will still charge you ****
**** Breakfast is very dissapointing - e.g. toast is dried biscuit shaped like a toast *****
If it wasnt for the above 3 points, it makes sense to stay at this hotel.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Clean basic hotel - The only thing i liked about this Hotel was the fact that it was clean. We had booked a double room but when we got there we were put into a single room and when we complained they said that it was our fault for booking at the last minute and the hotel was full so they couldn't put us into another room that night but would give us a double bed! Breakfast was pretty bad - nothing warm except tea/coffee and toast. Location of the hotel was ok but not only it was far from town, there were no restaurants nearby but on the plus side there was a tram station and bus station close by to get into the town which took ~25mins but felt longer as it was always crowed!
