• Emma (10/5): - We loved our stay at the Witt! The staff were so lovely and the breakfast was delicious. We also really appreciated being able to leave our luggage a couple of days before check-in whilst we visited a different part of Turkey. We would love to return!
• Jean (10/5): - Not sure why I felt led to choose this hotel but it was a great choice. The location was good. The room was spacious and very clean. Somehow I booked it for 2026 (just not sure how that happened) . Thankfully the hotel contacted me and booked a room for us. Also we requested a late checkout and they accommodated us for that. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was healthy and delicious. My only complaints are the lighting in the room and bathroom was dull and I didn’t care for the artificial aroma used in the lobby. It’s very fake and overwhelming.
• stacy (10/5): Cihangir Gem! - Loved the Witt. The staff is amazing, the breakfast is delicious, the rooms are huge and the bathrooms great. Oh and that spectacular view from the roof terrace!!! Great location for our group - close to a tram stop into the old city but away from the tourist crowds. I’ve been to Istanbul often and friends lived in the area so I was prepared for the steep hills in the neighborhood. Sometimes resorted to taxis….the staff had great recommendations for local bars and restaurants. Can’t wait to return to the Witt
• David (10/5): Fab hotel in Istanbul - Great hotel, great room and the service was excellent. Very nice people but the Turks are very respectful and friendly. Well they were in this hotel. Breakfast was great and the Turkish red wine was delicious. Definitely stay again it was all a***** Only negative I would say if you have problem with steep hills you may struggle as we were in our 60’s and we had to take out time. Not the hotels fault but definitely use taxis if you have luggage.

• Gillian (6/5): Expected more for the price paid - I chose Witt because I am interested in design. My room was on the second floor and I was glad to be on the corner to have a bit of a view rather than looking directly across the street at other flats. I rated the cleanliness low because the toilet in my room was not working well. Hotel workers came into the room while I was out (with my permission) to assess and fix the toilet. When I returned my bath mat was on the floor along with another towel. Perhaps they had planned on returning to clean up after assessing the toilet? Both my bath towels were quite mildewed. I advised the Hotel. It left me feeling disappointed with my stay. The elevator is fun. The breakfast outstanding - you could have both breakfast and lunch if you timed your meals right. Location perfect! Rooftop has good views but not set up to enjoy the patio unfortunately. Bed was comfortable. For the price, I expect a bit more than I received.

• Zora (10/5): - As soon as you walk in you feel relaxed and comfortable. The decor and design is still cool, sophisticated and understated despite being 14 odd years old. The rooms are spacious, beautiful and considered. The breakfast is ample and delicious and nothing is too much for the staff. The rooftop has an amazing view of the Bosphorous and underutilized. The only negatives are the pillows being way too soft, the available computer is an antique with no usable software (so for an emergency use for business it was poor for a hotel if this standard) and that hill is tough (but good for the legs and glutes) 😊 Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Communal areas are a bit disappointing. You can get a drink and they serve breakfast but it’s like sitting in reception really than a proper bar or restaurant. Not a big issue though given other options close by.

The room very spacious, very comfortable bed and pillows, clean and spacious bathroom. The breakfast was very complete and delicious and they offered it at the room if wished. 10/10 the personal super nice and helpful!! The hotel is close to public transportation and is very well situated close to a very nice mall.

We took a long flight from California and driver was arranged for smooth transition from airport to hotel. From the moment you enter you are treated like royalty. The desk host “ Khan “ ( spelling ? ) was so gracious and glasses of vino delivered to our room immediately .. this was the 10 star service from the beginning to the end. The room was really well appointed and spacious. We truly did not want to leaves. Really the entire staff are 100% into pleasing you with authentic attitudes … not like robots. I highly recommend if you want a nice comfy stay to choose this hotel. The value for this service/hotel is incredible! We enjoyed every minute and will definitely stay again. Breakfast stay amazing and well appointed breakfast ! Windows block out all the noise from streets ( we were 5th floor ). Well done Witt hotel !! Until we meet again !

It’s on a hill, which is a bit of a climb to walk up (not too bad), but absolutely worth it for the view and how quiet it is at night. Trendy, very clean. The staff are extremely warm and nice and breakfast is amazing. Absolutely recommend. Oh and my room was very big, including a living room and bar area.

• Chu-yun (10/5): Revisit in 2021 - Revisit after a year, the service was still on spot, free breakfast and delivered to your door every morning rain and shine. The bathroom was not as new/clean as last year, but you can’t beat the location. Tv box was broken, but only use it to hear news in the morning anyway.. not a big deal. I will come back next time.

It has an spectacular view on the rooftop, but there is no bar, so I suggest you buy your bottle of wine or champagne or whatever you like, if you have music, much better and go with your loved ones to enjoy a sunset there. One of the best experiences in my life...

• Verified traveler (10/5): Much needed break - My stayed in Witt hotel was a gift from my boyfriend, who wanted me to take a break and relax. Witt hotel was the perfect place to do that. The staff were very friendly, the room was spacious and it was in a trendy Neighbour hood that had lots of shops and restaurants. The only issue I had was that the hotel is located on a hill, so climbing that everyday was a hard task. My boyfriend would do burpees until I reach. Overall it was great, comfortable and fun.

• Zoe (10/5): - This hotel can't be faulted! My husband and I booked this to mark the beginning of our 2-week honeymoon in Turkey, and it's safe to say the apartment did not disappoint! The loft-style interior and the bathrooms were incredibly spacious, modern and classy. It was the perfect base for us to spend 4 days exploring the sights and sounds of Istanbul, as the hotel is only about 7 minutes' walk from the nearest tram stop. It was also an easy walk to an array of restaurants, nightlife, and Taksim Square. Housekeeping was frequent and meticulous. Reception staff were helpful and friendly. Having the option of a free breakfast service was the cherry on top; we ended up only taking breakfast in the dining area during our stay, although was pleasantly surprised by the range of cold and hot dishes / beverages available. The rooftop garden with fantastic views overlooking most of Istanbul's Europe side gave us lots of photo opportunities. Note: If you intend on bringing heavy or multiple pieces of luggage, then it would be best to travel to the hotel via a taxi, as there is a large hill leading up to the front doors (helped us to realise our new year resolutions!)

It is a boutique hotel and at all times they make you feel special; from giving recommendations for sightseeing to service at breakfast. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. In a very nice area near restaurants, etc. I travel 180 days a year and the Witt is one of the best I have stayed in.

The aesthetics and finishes make it a haven for Istanbul but it's the staff who are exceptional. Booking, pre-arrival arrangements, arranging luxury airport transfers, quality restaurant recommendations, you name it, nothing was too much trouble. They were efficient, discrete and it was a hotel that made you feel instantly at home the minute you walked in. Breakfast too was outstanding, great choice and excellent quality with local delicacies. The roof top terrace was stunning and the option to have a drink at the bar or upstairs was terrific.

Located super close to the Tophane tram stop and a short walk away from Taksim Square, it was an ideal base to explore Istanbul. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful and the room was spacious, light and well-equipped (the Molton Brown toiletries were a luxurious treat!) What made this an outstanding hotel however was the exemplary service provided by Emre who arranged taxis and hair salon appointments for us (ringing around for competitive pricing and availability) and providing excellent sightseeing recommendations. We can't say enough about the staff, who are always so helpful and genuinely want to make sure you're having a wonderful stay. The rooms are well appointed, our last with a panoramic view of Istanbul! They even sent a bottle of wine to our room and some sweets to thank us for staying with them. The breakfast is so delicious, with your choice of eggs included in the price. So refreshing to stay at a hotel that cares about the comfort of their guests. Great location for walking to many places, restaurants although the street is a bit steep in front of the hotel. Highly recommend the Witt to anyone visiting Istanbul!

Quality toiletries (Molton Brown), complimentary nespresso coffee etc. Reception desk was very helpful with making suggestions and making reservations on our behalf. Location wise, the hotel was a 10 minute walk to Taksim Square and Istikal Street. The popular hammam Kilic Ali Pasa is a 5 minute away. Note however that the hotel is located on a slope.

It’s on the top of a pretty steep hill but we welcomed the extra exercise as it came with great 270 views of the whole city and the Bosphorus. Penthouse was perfect and definitely worth the money. Excellent service. Great breakfast. Lovely roof terrace. No complaints!!

• Kytia (10/5): Love it , great hotel. - The hotel is great. Love the decor and the shower. The breakfast is very good and the personnel are very attentive. I will return and highly reccomend the hotel. Location is a bit complicated as it is in a middle of a steep hill and walking to a local eatery or site make it quite difficult . Rely on local Uber, though most cabs or Uber can’t find the hotel.

I loved the view from my balcony. Special thanks to Ekrem, who was so friendly and made sure I had a breakfast early hours of the morning I checked out.
• Gretchen (10/5): Modern boutique hotel with great service - Beautiful modern boutique hotel in a lively part of Istanbul. The staff could not have been nicer and upgraded us upon check in since the suites were unoccupied. Delicious breakfast (although I wish it had opened earlier in the morning) and every question we had was answered quickly and kindly.
• Elizabeth (10/5): Absolutely recommend - Witt was amazing- so helpful before arriving, flexible about making changes to the bookings, even though they didn’t need too, finding us a guide, leaving a special treat to commemorate our celebration, on top of a great locations and amazing decor. Highly recommended.
• Verified traveler (2/5): Awful Staff!!! - called concierge and gave me a wrong address to get there!! very rude manager, worst breakfast you can ever ask for, worst location!! there are much better hotels to go to service does not mean anything there! only one elevator which is slowest ever one of the worst hotels i ever been room was very nice design, best furniture you can imagine, shower was amazing, but the problem is i can see they started great, best design and furniture and they saw they are not making money so they cut everything from break fast to staff working there!
• Arthur (10/5): Best value for top boutique hotel - Witt is located on a steep hill in the trendy Cihangir area, affording the most beautiful view of all major attractions in Istanbul. All monuments on the Asian side are easily accessible by tram or a short walk of 20 minutes across the bridge. We have used the tram system extensively because it's convenient and cheap. You need to buy a card which can be re filled as needed (20 florin) and can be used by as many people as long as it has money in it. Because of the steep uphill location of the hotel we took the tram 3 more stops to the end station and connected to the funicular to Taksim square walking down hill to the hotel. The hotel itself if one of the best boutique hotels I have visited. The oversized room has a bar/sink, refrigerator, seating area and a large king size bed. The bathroom in beautiful matching marble has a rain shower, large sink, bidet/toilet, and a heated floor. The breakfast buffet was European style completely satisfying and they will prepared eggs any style you like. The concierge Vulcan (perfectly speaking English) was incredible helpful and accommodating. It is the best value for a beautiful, perfectly run boutique hotel in the best location in Istanbul. Book early to get the best price we were lucky to get. I can't wait to return to this amazing place and recommend it highly.
